The 22 Best Restaurants in Richmond, BC | Eater

"Throngs of food lovers swarm the Richmond Night Market on weekend evenings in the summer. The market offers an assortment of entertainment and shopping, but the food stalls are the real draw for anyone seeking the best examples of street food from across Asia and beyond: spicy squid, stuff on sticks (go for skewered lamb), and fermented tofu. Mouths and iPhones jostle to score specialties like rainbow cheese toast, strawberry-filled mochi, and deep-fried watermelon. [$ - $$]" - Jay Friedman

I went to the Richmond Night Market for the first time (I am from US) and it was a great experience!! It is way better than night markets in the states. The only long line was to get inside. Once we were in, we waited no longer than 5 minutes in a line and the food came out really quick! It’s so much cheaper than US food festivals as well so we were able to try a bunch of different things for a good price. I would 100% come again. It was well worth the drive.

The Richmond Night Market is a perfect date night, or place to get a variety of foods from Friday to Sunday. There is free parking, or you can take transit, the entrance fee is $5, and I would highly recommend that you bring cash, as some stalls only take cash. There's games, food, live entertainment, and stalls that sell clothing and accessories. It's definitely worth a visit as it's only available for a few months of the year.

Magnificent market, with varied and delicious food, games where you can win stuffed animals of all sizes, items for sale such as socks, keychains, crafts, etc., zip lines, and giant balls where you can jump and play on the water. Excellent management because you always see people cleaning tables or collecting trash, and in the bathrooms making sure everything is running smoothly. And finally, plenty of private security and police.

Visit: May 2025 Love the vibe of the night market, and there were a lot of different things to see. I think if I went often, I would grow tired of it quickly, but it was cool to see for my first time Lots of stalls are cash only, so make sure you bring cash. ATMs were unreliable and only 1/8 worked to give us cash Lots of the food was pretty overpriced and had small portions. You have to pay an admission fee of $7 (and +3% if you pay with card) It was fun to visit once, not sure if I would go again (or at least, not often again)

7 CAD per head for you to enter this night market. I have been to many countries with night market this is the only 1 with enteance fee. A little tip to those who want to visit this place. The main entrance is full of people falling in line to pay entrance fee. Before u can get in maybe take you 20 minutes. There is express way to get in but the entrance fee is 35 CAD fix rate good for 5 head (person). So if you are getting in with less head try to look for someone to make it 5 head. Inside this night market there are many souvenirs shop price is eventually cheaper but again don't know if the quality is good , food stall like chinese Japanese korean and other food. For me the food is not as delicious as it should be. And you have to have enough patience to wait for the food you order. The way they prepare food is so slow i just cannot understand why....eventually i am thinking how can a food stall earn much with there speed. There are also many games that you can enjoy there specifically for children even adult enjoy. Must try this place and feel the difference for you to appreciate and differentiate one place from another

Entry fee has gone up every year, with no improvement of the actual night market. Gaming section takes up half of the venue, leaving only a few rows of stalls to sell items. We come for the food, and try to eat food that is more unique, but it is quite pricey for what it is.

We spent 120$ on 8 items + 2 tickets, in 3 hours. We went there on a Sunday at 6:40 and got inside at 7:10. It was crowded but not annoying, it took 0-2 minutes to order each item and 2-10 to get them. Everything we ate was pretty good (tip: definitely take cash with you) all together it's expensive and crowded but it's still so much fun with lots of interesting foods, i think it worth it and will definitely go back again to try more things! #1 beef skewer #2 Birria grilled cheese #3 Birria taco #4 Chocolate bubble tea #5 Beef momo with hot sauce #6 Dynamite Sushi taco #7 Cheese Tteokbokki

This is definitely not what we expected, but I’m not mad about it. This night market definitely feels more like a fair directed towards younger kids, but we still had a good time and tried some fun food. Bad Buns: Honestly waiting for our food and watching this guys were my favorite part. They were so fun and silly! The actual bun was crystallized and so yummy, but the ice cream tasted like a typical generic brand out of a tube. With a good quality, creamy ice cream, this would have been perfect. That being said, it was still a super fun and yummy treat!
