Visiting the Kingman Beer and Mead scene this weekend we had to stop by Dirty Duh for some Rickety Cricket Brews.
8 of us showed up on Friday evening while live music was playing and we sat in the overflow area and squeezed in just in time to grab the last open picnic table.
Awesome looking pizza menu with super funny "dirty" names for all the pies. PG menu available as well. We ordered a Sausage Party, Artichoke Me Daddy and the Herbivore.
The Artichoke Me Daddy was my favorite, made with dough using beer and spent grains from the onsite brewery. Pizza style seemed to be something like Detroit meets Grandma style. Dough had a beautiful crumb, big rise to the dough and crust with cheese all way to the crust with a partial Frico edge. Sauce was bold and flavorful, cheese was delicious with a super stretch, toppings included artichokes, black olives, jalepenos and lemons! The lemons were a super interesting addition that added a great acidity. Some people ate them, including me, others at the table weren't into eating whole sliced lemons. Everything came together so great and flavorful!
We ordered every beer on the menu between everyone at the table. My favorite was the Scottish Ale which they NAILED on style and quality. Several others at the table really enjoyed an IPA on the menu that came out with a solid bitterness and malt backbone but had a bubblegum like flavor that you would expect in a German Hefeweizen. Several people at the table thought it was super interesting and tasted great.
Building was awesome, grain solo outside, large bar and live music, servers were hustling, friendly, great teamwork between multiple staff and servers.
So glad we started our pub crawl out at this spot so we could fill up on pizza before a night of drinking.
Plenty of vegetarian options.
Kid friendly.
