I brought in my tuxedo jacket, vest, pants, and shirt for expedited dry cleaning because I needed them the next day for a wedding I was standing in. I paid the extra fee for expedited service, and the store promised next-day pickup by 5 p.m.
At 2 p.m. on the promised pickup day, the manager called to admit they had forgotten to put my order in the expedited queue. That mistake meant my clothes wouldn’t be ready until the following day — completely useless for my travel schedule. Not only did I lose the expedited service I paid for, but I also had to burn extra gas and time with a 30-minute drive the next day since I don’t normally work near that location on Fridays.
Yes, they refunded the expedited fees and tossed me a $10 credit, but that doesn’t come close to making up for the stress, wasted time, and inconvenience caused by their error. For a business built on reliability, this was an unacceptable failure. When customers pay extra for next-day service, it’s because it’s critical — not optional.
I will not be going back, and I would strongly caution others: if you actually need your clothes on time, don’t count on this place to deliver.
