12 Excellent Barbecue Restaurants in Las Vegas

"Rick Harrison of Pawn Stars teamed up with Rollin’ Smoke for this Southern barbecue haven next door to Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. Diners can find brisket, pulled pork, chicken, spare ribs, and hot links on the menu. Burnt ends are just right with a side of smoked mac and cheese." - Janna Karel, Eater Staff

This restaurant seems to heavily rely on its namesake/ owner to draw in customers. However, our experience wasn't quite remarkable. Not only did it take a while for them to take our order and prepare the food, but the food itself turned out to be exceptionally average. There was nothing that stood out or left a lasting impression; the ribs tasted like what you'd find at any other BBQ joint. It was okay, but I wouldn't say the ribs were anything beyond good, while the bread was like any other piece of bread. The macaroni and cheese was also just average. Nonetheless, the restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere and is conveniently located right on the strip, which adds to its appeal.

We came here to have a look and ended up coming back the next day to eat. Steve was great, very welcoming and gave good recommendations. We got the $33USD pork ribs with Mac n cheese, potato & bacon salad, corn bread (which was absolutely delicious) & a souvenir cup of unlimited soda. Would recommend if you’re wanting a BBQ meal. The place was clean and the people were lovely. The food was GREAT!

Google
Tried the brisket and pork ribs, brisket was dry and bland, no flavor whatsoever to it, had to add salt and bbq sauce to liven it up. Pork ribs were the same, no flavor, this bbq did not taste like it was smoked in an actual smoker, maybe an oven. Mac and Cheese was good though.

Google
Food - AMAZING. Price GREAT. Atmosphere- AMAZING. Came on a Friday night and Rick and Chimlee showed up. We had 2 free shots on Rick.. great music and atmosphere. Highly recommend A+++

Google
Who knew Las Vegas had such great Bbq?! Discovered this place last minute as I was driving through! Got here just as they opened and everything was delicious. The ribs were my favorite having that nice pink smoke ring and were juicy and fall off the bone! Peach cobbler was the perfect way to end the meal!!

Stopped in today and it was an amazing experience! The entire staff was welcoming, patient and offered different options. They were genuinely nice and the food was amazing! Will definitely come back!

While visiting Pawn Stars, we got hungry, and one of the staff said they had good BBQ next spot. It's owned by Rick, from PS as well. As we were walking over, we saw some people coming down the stairs. we asked how it was, and they couldn't rave about it enough it. They recommended the Hawaiian sliders and to talk to Megan. It's a great dive type bar. Square with a bar and Megan in the middle with a few tables around. They also have a little patio overlooking the street. It's a bare bone establishment, no frills. Menu is just some printed papers on a clipboard with bbq stains. This is all part of the charm, though. We did get an order of the sliders and nachos, with shredded cheese. You order at the bar, and then they will bring it to ya when ready. My wife got a local beer as well, that she said was really good. The place is really likely and seems to be more locals than visitors. Lots of hooting, laughing, and talking across the bar. Megan was the star of most of it. The food was good. We didn't get enough to really give the BBQ a try. but, what we got was tasty. They even have a number of sauces at the bar. You can get samples to try. Good country music is playing the whole time there. If you want intimate and quiet, this is probably not the place for you. If you're looking for some good food and a good time, this is a good apot.

Yelp
So happy I visited here again after many years!!! The staff was so sweet and patient as I was deciding and asking questions They offered me a locals discount, which helped a lot!!! The portions were a great size for the price because BBQ can be so $$$$. Will be back again!! Thank you

Yelp
Came here because I wanted to take my UK friend to something she can't find in the UK, which is Texas BBQ! We got a pit special so that we can try everything and it came with brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, beef sausage and chicken. The chicken was average but the other items were very delicious. I recommend getting the sliced brisket so that it is juicier. The pulled pork was surprisingly tender and not dry. For the sides, I really liked the dirty rice, it was very peppery and complements the bbq well It has definitely gone up in price a lot since my last time at Rollin Smoke in 2021, and the pit special was $40 and there was a Wednesday special to bring it down to $33 but now it's $55! Anyway not going to complain more, this is plenty of food for two people with big appetites!

Yelp
I'm no BBQ expert but I've had good and bad. This was amazing. I got a duo plate with beef ribs and brisket. The beef rib was huuuuge and so tasty. Lots of fat but i like that. Way too much food for me to eat so I took my leftovers back to my hotel room and seriously had a few more meals out of it over the next day or two.

Yelp
Avoid. Everything they sold here is dried up, wasted $28 for some very dried up bbq. Chicken and brisket and almost inedible, they left it out too long. I asked the worker to replace my chicken because it's too dry, and he ask me why don't I just sauce it up to make it juicy.. lol. Worst bbq I've had in a very long time

Yelp
Coming in we were greeted right away to a look at the menu semi had an idea because we've been to another Rollin smoke but definitely nothing like the other. Staff was friendly enough but were they need work is cleanliness of the restaurant itself when we sat i noticed left over food trays and open cans figured if the people just left they'll pick up soon.. nope the whole time we were there so was the left over trays. There is an uncomfortable amount of flys, its pretty bad if it's less flys and more comfortable to eat outside then inside. No open windows or doors to expect the amount of flys and when we finished our meal i went to toss the trash and a bunch came out of the trash can. The food is cooked already so thinking if there was so many by us in the dining area there must be by the open food areas...gross! The food itself was ok Mac was good but the loaded potatoe was a sad cup of mashed potatoes and the chicken and ribs were dry just definitely have had better overall not the best experience .

Yelp
Hands down, best beef BBQ ribs ever!super moist, flavorful, nice bark on it. 3-4 years later, quality still there! Enjoyed it very much! I enjoyed the Mac and cheese side yummy. I. Had leftovers for the next days breakfast.

Yelp
The shop is located across the parking lot from The Pawn Stars shop. The restaurant is a small little shop with some outdoor picnic tables to sit at. It's a no frills kind of place and there's nothing glamorous about it. What I will say is the service was excellent. You order at the counter and the guy making your plate was helpful and knowledgable. The service was also very fast. The food choices were good. I had the burnt ends and ribs. The flavor was very good and I really enjoyed the burnt ends. The ribs were fall off the bone good but the burnt ends were my favorite. I also had the Mac and cheese for my side. The Mac and cheese was also excellent and had a nice Smokey flavor as well, it was also topped with extra shredded cheese. The other thing is I really liked the regular bbq sauce they gave with the meal although you could get a spicy bbq sauce. I refuse to eat anywhere on vacation that I can eat at home. This wasn't someplace I researched but just happened to stumble across. With that being said overall I enjoyed my experience. I was able to visit Pawn Stars and try Rick's BBQ as well. If you're in the area and craving some BBq (especially burnt ends) I say give it a try. Who knows maybe Chumley will be working at the candy store next door but they have some limited hours so check ahead if you want candy.

Yelp
Exceptional!!! My boyfriend and I are natives to Las Vegas! & there's no such thing as service QUITE like what we received here! Steve was so welcoming! His energy was contagious! Even after we stuffed our faces we had spark due to him! The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! We'll be coming back!! We usually order BBQ to go! I am so grateful we sat down & enjoyed it & had great company as well! The restaurant was flawless! Even after a rush it was cleaned as people left! The staff was friendly & you can tell Steve has that place running like a machine! Every song that played I loved! It was a vibe! The portions were perfect! The pricing reflected what we got for sure! EXTREMELY HAPPY! Thanks again STEVE!

Yelp
Came here because of the decent Yelp score, not realizing it was part of the Pawn Stars franchise. I ordered the ribs and brisket duo platter. The ribs were okay, nothing special, but the brisket was dry and lacked flavor. For the price, I expected better quality and a larger portion. Unfortunately, it didn't deliver on either. Feels more like a tourist trap than a serious BBQ spot. Wouldn't return.

Yelp
Food is def delicious but how they got an A grade I'll never know , it's dirty and aged and when the chef made my nachos with his gloved hands he grabbed a set of keys went outside got a box came inside and with the same gloved hands he now grabs all the items and makes my nachos ; it's was gross ; he that I knew of touched keys , door handles , a box and no idea what he touched outside with looks disgustingly dirty I literally had to tell my family I didn't like them because I did not wanna gross them out of eating too and oh my god all the flys inside . Very disappointing

Yelp
Was checking out the pawn shop next store and knew we wanted to come over to Rick's while we were here. Rick wasn't there, he only does a couple drop ins and bartends some weekends during the month and unfortunately he wasn't there when we went. It wasn't super crowded and the food came out quick. As far as BBQ goes, it was mediocre. The meat itself didn't really have much flavor but they do have a variety of sauces to try so we had some of those. Decently sized portions. The bar upstairs was small but had decent searing and a balcony. I'm sure it fills up on the weekends!

Yelp
This was hands down one of the worst bbq places I've ever been to, and I visit bbq places all over the country. First of all, the staff was not friendly. When we asked questions or asked for recommendations, they seemed like they just didn't want to be bothered. Next, there is limited seating with a dirty shared bathroom (in a weird outside area) and very little parking. There's a shared parking lot with Pawn Stars. Had I known this was owned by the Pawn Stars people, I wouldn't have come. It's a tourist trap, money grab! The food was less than average, low quality and WAY over priced. The only food that was decent was the burnt ends. Mac and cheese was mid. Ribs were awful!! Chicken was so dry that it was almost inedibly dry. I had to pour a ton of bbq on it to get it to go down! Brisket was like a tough old steak. Nothing fork tender or juicy about the brisket. The ribs were so tough and had little to no flavor. The potato salad was interesting. Not good, not bad, just... interesting. Banana pudding lacked banana flavor and was fake tasting. Nothing fresh about it. Extremely disappointed from start to finish. Save your money... there's about 10,000 great places to eat in Vegas!!

Yelp
Came by with my neighbors for their weekly Sunday trivia. It was really fun, located in the upstairs bar and the vibe was awesome. The drinks were great, service was awesome. The bartender was a one woman show and doing an amazing job! There is a full venue of BBQ. I ended up getting the "skillet" appetizer which was basically a little mini sampler. It came with pork, burnt ends and a hot link and a little side of coleslaw. The accidentally gave me potato salad and that was fine with me, fun to try. It's also located next to that famous pawn store so if you happen to have some rare coins or civil war memorabilia you can take them in while you wait for your BBQ!

Yelp
Tried Rick's Rollin Smoke BBQ & Tavern last month for the first time, and really enjoyed it! I've been a few times now, since they have karaoke on Thursday nights, and its EARLY (6-10 pm!! I can go sing, AND still be in bed with enough time to get good sleep for work on Friday!). I've tried a few things on the menu now: the chopped brisket sandwich, the salad with burnt ends, and the salad with brisket, and of course, the mac n cheese. Everything has been super tasty, and the portions are pretty big! My favorite so far has been the salads though. I may try one of their stuffed baked potatoes next!!! Service is always great. Mark is super nice, I think he's the manager, he's always been very friendly. Alexis is the bartender during karaoke, and she is amazing. She's so sweet, very friendly, and she makes really great drinks! They offer locals a discount all the time as well, which is a rare thing to find these days. We will most definitely be back!

Jeffery M.

Yelp
The BBQ was great. I also had their peach cobbler and it was almost as good as home made. I would definitely eat there again.
google avatar

David X.

Yelp
Had the pork sandwich and some sides. Sandwich was great. Prices a bit high but it is on LV Blvd
google avatar

Tony M.

Yelp
Right across the parking lot from Gold and Silver trading. Good bbq. Prices have caught up with Bidenomics. $22 for a combo meal. See our YouTube channel Coolest Life.

Myles M.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. But we were coming here for the all you can eat deal, and were NOT impressed to see they had raised the price from 50 to 70 dollars a head. We got the trio plate instead. Can Vegas get any more expensive? Like really.

Yelp
Rick's Rollin BBQ is my go-to for fantastic barbecue when in the Pawn Stars area. I go here because the Burnt Tips Sandwich is a must-try. The burnt tips were barbecue perfection--tender, smoky, and full of flavor. Each bite was a delight with a satisfying crunch from the caramelized edges and a touch of sweetness from the barbecue sauce. And the "dam" hot sauce? It was fantastic, adding an extra kick to the experience. Served with a refreshing side salad, the meal had a perfect balance of flavors and textures. For BBQ enthusiasts, Rick's Rollin BBQ is the place to be. Don't miss out on the Burnt Tips Sandwich--it's a culinary experience worth craving more.

Yelp
Fabulous food brisket is so tender. The chicken, a delight their barbecue sauce mama sauce is to die for collard greens and cornbread a must have. Excellent service couldn't ask for better catering service. All food delivered on time beautiful production thank you thank you thank you Ashley for your professional service. You're the best.

Yelp
FAST Food: we both ordered the duo. The pulled pork was juicy, while the brisket was a little dry but very tasty. Atmosphere: we happened to see the Pawn Stars store so got distracted and completely drove past the BBQ place. Service: two gentlemen were cutting the meats and were very nice. Tip: there are a lot of sauces, spicy to sweet, order your meats without sauce and get some different flavors!

Yelp
Just not as good as the original location on Highland Drive. Felt very fast foodish. All the food was lukewarm. I felt like I was eating week old BBQ leftovers. The coleslaw had too strong of a mustard taste for me. This location is next to the Pawn Shop and it's hard to find parking. It's a quaint clean spot though. Not a big place but staff is courteous.
google avatar

Irene A.

Yelp
Have been to this location many times as a friend always has his comedy showcase every week. Always have the loaded baked potato with pulled pork. The bartender Alexis always treats the locals wonderfully and the prices are reasonable. Will continue to come in as the food is amazing !
google avatar

Kalos C.

Yelp
Overrated! I am starting to doubt Yelp ratings. Meat was dry. The best thing was sitting in front of the window watching people going into the pawn shop , for whatever reason I don't understand?
google avatar

The Aggressive I.

Yelp
Not sure I've ever had a worse experience in BBQ. Food was down right awful. Ribs and brisket were dry, cold and over smoked. Cause was above average. Dry as hell meat loaf. $25.00 for the worlds worst meat loaf? That's wild. Service is low average counter service.
google avatar

Anthony W.

Yelp
Stopped by Rollin Smoke just the side of beans. Love those beans. Sorry, I finished before I took the picture, lol.

Yelp
First of all, I am a local resident of Las Vegas. Let me tell you this is the closest thing to southern Texas BBQ. I love this place, the services are great. This is the new spots but if you want to try another rolling smoke bbq aka the "OG", . FYI I come here every other day and I'm a regular ! Yes I'm a veteran and they're Military friendly also ! Yes they offer military discount as well.
google avatar

Sarah M.

Yelp
I love ricks! They're good people! I wish they stayed open later on the weekends They feature incredible performers, singers, and karaoke nights and if you're lucky you can catch Rick in house and do a shot with him.
google avatar

Mike F.

Yelp
Great visit and the foods was outstanding. Our bartender Chris was excellent. The music and atmosphere felt like Vegas so close to Fremont Street. The salad with brisket was enough for three people. Well worth the visit.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by because of the raving reviews. TIP: Downstairs, you can order food Upstairs, you can order food and drinks. When we walked into the downstairs restaurant, it did not feel welcoming. We stood there about 5-10 minutes trying to figure out what we wanted. The restaurant was also empty. The service was ok. I would say, go to the bar upstairs and order your food there and grab a few drinks. Wish we did that. The bar was much more welcoming. Alexis was very friendly and talkative with us. What was nice is she mentioned a local discount, which the worker downstairs did not mention it at all. We had a few drinks there and ate our food. The outdoor patio is headed, and it's nice to watch the sunset. Also, they have comedy night, so I'd love to return when they have that event. Food: 1/2 Rack of Spareribs Huge Beef Bone (idk what it's called) The Spareribs were seasoned well and it fell off the bone. So soft and tender and went well with the sauces. Overall, I'd definitely return. Rick's would have received a 5 Star had we engaged with Alexis only.
google avatar

Brad B.

Yelp
Just the idea of "carmelized brisket" literally made my mouth water when I heard it from another customer in the very short line immediately in front of me. But just to be safe, I ordered a two meat plate with both regular sliced brisket plus the burnt end brisket (that's the one that was referred to as being"carmelized" First thing: the people serving were really nice. What a pleasure to be treated so well! I first dove into the burnt ends. Well, they were a little dry/crunchy. But, what does one expect of some labeled as "burnt?" They were sweet and a tiny bit spicy. Now, let's go on to the sliced brisket... Yah, Baby! That's the ONE YOU WANT!! Super fatty (just like I asked for. Hyper-tender. Delicious! Included the extra sauce the gal offered. This REALLY hit the spot!! If you love great brisket, don't miss out on this place. Each meal comes with a side. Hey, this place claims to Southern, so I HAD to pick the collard greens. The server says there's brisket and bacon in there. Hmm. Not obvious. The greens were ... serviceable. They've got lots of other sides. I'd try a different one next time. And there WILL BE a NEXT TIME! The server also thoughtfully offered pickles on the side. They were perfect. Added to the "picnic vibe" Other notables: Pleasant music; easy parking, pleasant surroundings inside. WORTH IT! I'll stop by again.

Yelp
Had to come back here! Super cute place with awesome cocktails! Friendly service and cool AC!

Yelp
We went at 11 when they opened for an early lunch. We waited 20 minutes and the "tavern" still wasn't open so we went down stairs and ordered there. The place was clean and cool. Comfortable to sit and eat. We ordered 2 plates, each with 2 meats and a side. We tried the following: sliced brisket, chopped brisket, baby back ribs and chicken. We also had Mac and cheese, loaded mash and coleslaw. All the meats were just ok. I didn't care for the sliced brisket it was pretty dry. The sauces are all unique but had a strange aftertaste for me. The Mac and cheese wasn't good and the coleslaw was super bland. The loaded mash was very good though. My biggest complaint was these meals were $80... John Mulls bbq is a few miles away and you get twice as much food for less money ‍ Personally, it's a tourist trap with mediocre food at a steep Vegas price. We will drive the extra 6 miles for road kill grill.
google avatar

Brandi M.

Yelp
I felt like I needed to delete my last review because things are different when the owner isn't working I guess. The first time I ate here it was amazing but I came back a few days later and I ordered the exact same thing and it was different. This time I was very disappointed at the portion sizes I received which was wayyy smaller leaving me still hungry. I was charged double the amount that I was previously told for 3 slices of bread and I genuinely am disappointed. I wanted to like this place but I probably won't be back. For the prices, if you want what you paid for, come when the owner is working.
google avatar

Michael P.

Yelp
Some of the best ribs i ever had! Wasnt sure what I wanted and they offered a sample rib for me to try and I ordered it on the spot while chewing. Friendly staff and cant wait to return next time i visit Vegas.
google avatar

Amy E.

Yelp
The smell when you walk through the doors is amazing!! The staff were very friendly and helpful about the menu items. We ordered a #7 (it's enough for two people), and a pulled pork stuffed potato!! It was delicious!!
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
I'm stuck between a 3 and a 4 here. I'm an avid BBQ fan and I smoke meats regularly and I have high standards for the price you're going to pay here. I watched a couple YouTube videos where people recommended this place as well as others and I flipped a coin and came to Ricks. I had to order the beef rib, chipotle slaw, and the wife and kids got the burnt ends and Mac and cheese. The beef rib was very tender and had great bark and other than not having a smoke ring it was fine. The slaw was $6 and flavorless. Waste of money there. The Mac and cheese I thought was very good and the wife liked the burnt ends. I'd probably go back and try the beef rib with a different side next time.
google avatar

Jaynne L.

Yelp
Came here to try their Bloody Mary with stuff on top. I went into the bottom restaurant and the full bar is actually up top. I ordered a "ribbed for your pleasure" with the spiciest level. It comes with olives, cherry pepper, a rib, burnt end slider. Everything was well cooked and delicious. I liked the bark and bite of the rib. The burnt end or brisket (I forgot what it was) was very tender. The bartender was also VERY nice. Great customer service from the time I stepped in until I left.
google avatar

Valerie P.

Yelp
The food was over the top amazing! The potato salad is so unique. I loved the melted butter on the cornbread. My favorite part was all the sauces they offered. Great entertainment upstairs.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
Interesting . I'll add more later. W es hall have to see .. looks yummy smells yummy Ok. Had a chance to try the bbq. A little dry and the chicken . Hmmm. I wouldn't say it's the best bbq in Vegas. It's close and well, in a pinch. The basics . The sauces are what I liked. The options. I went with the mild. So try it. You many like it. Me. I won't. The customer service was kinda cold. It wasn't busy. I realize through Vegas there are so many people they don't care to be service oriented. A smile would go a long way. So. Since I'm a tourist. I'll tourist somewhere else for bbq.
google avatar

Eve B.

Yelp
Amazing beef rib/steak. It's our go to every time we're in Vegas. Prices are great. Service is great. Don't forget the banana pudding.
google avatar

Yelp
OK, when my fiancé said we were going here for lunch I chuckled. I was not expecting much from a pawn shop owner turned bbq master. Boy was I wrong. I ordered a two meat plate consisting of baby back ribs and brisket. It came with a side which I picked the bbq beans. My fiancé ordered there loaded Fritos. My plate came out with three or four ribs and a few nice slices of brisket. The ribs were very meaty and tender. They do not smother their ribs so the Smokey flavor came through the meat with the first bite. Wow. Tender, tasty and yummy. There were also about 6 different of bbq sauces that could be added. I loved the three I tried. Next I tried the beans. Smokey, tasty and yummy also. I added a bit of their sweet bbq sauce to the beans and it brought out the flavor even more. Last was the brisket. You can get it sliced or chopped. I got it sliced. There was lots of meat and a bit of fat, which is good mix. I went to get my first bite thinking I would need to use the knife to get a piece. Wrong. The meat was so tender I could cut it with a fork. The meat was Smokey, favorable, not dry at all and almost melted in my mouth. I will say I ate each bite with a different sauce and each was wonderful. I have been to several other bbq joints since moving here and Rick's is my favorite so far. Well done Rick and staff.
google avatar

Fidel E.

Yelp
This is the honest truth, they have the BEST BABY BACK RIBS, I have ever had! I tried the sliced brisket and it was a little dry. Their original sauce was pretty good too, mild, tangy and with a little heat mixed in. We went there on a weekday during their slow time which was perfect. I will definitely make it a point to come here again for the ribs!
google avatar

Kaylin B.

Yelp
Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. We went in the middle of the day for an early lunch and it was incredible! The service, the quality of the food, the decor, the variety of sauces available- just everything. The burnt ends are to die for!!!
google avatar

Nicole B.

Yelp
The food is great, smoked to perfection. The bartender Alexis was great, she was very attentive. I love coming to trivia on Sunday nights, always a good time.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place when we were getting tattoos across the street. We knew we wanted to go to the famous Pawn Shop, and across the parking lot was this yummy BBQ place. Food portions were huge! Pulled piggy sandwich was delicious. Sorry no pictures of the food. We scarfed it down! I highly suggest it if you want some tasty BBQ! They had fun cups to go and free stickers at the counter.

Yelp
Always Awesome, Locals get a price break all the time. Go when Mark (GM) is working!!! Bloody's are fantastic!! (get a rib and slider)!!
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Came here after checking out the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop next door. I had the all you can eat option and let me say it's a pretty good value. The barbecue is decent, but nothing compared to Texas barbecue. Good meat, good sauces and great people that are happy to serve you.
google avatar

Jen C.

Yelp
Located just across from the famous pawn shop from Pawn Stars, this bbq packs some serious spice. They have a bar on the bottom level and bbq is served on the second level. They have happy hour until 6 as well as a discount for locals if you show your id. I got the chopped brisket sandwich which was deliciously well seasoned and could be topped with any bbq sauce they offer from sweet to spicy. They even have one that is by request only because it is so hot. For sides, I got the the Mac and cheese which was creamy and spicy and the cornbread was moist and buttery. The atmosphere was a bit loud and service was good when available but they were quite busy.
