Hands down the best butcher shop in Miami. I have been a customer for over 10 years. From the best quality meats to whole pigs for caja china, they have what you need. The staff is always friendly and very knowledgeable with all of their cuts.

If you haven't been to Ricky Meats you're crazy. The quality of not only the meat but also the staff is incredible. I went with my two friends and we had very good service. Last time I went in there about four months ago I was able to buy $15 worth of beef brisket. Today, they told me no small pieces. I got a buy huge piece already wrapped in plastic if I want to get brisket. So, Jose Blanco, the general manager, sold me a cheap cut of meat for $20 promising me that it would taste just like brisket. I had a very very low expectation but I cooked it just the way I would brisket. I must say I was so pleasantly surprised. I will have to call him tomorrow to thank him and get the name of the cut of meat that he sold me.

They bate & switch you when you exit. You pay inside & then unless you're willing to unwrap your items to check them in the parking lot - chances are you'll get something of a way lesser price when you get home. If you try to "fix it"!They don't answer your calls or DMs - don't go here!!!

I was honestly overwhelmed about this place. I arrived after hearing a couple of friends saying they love this place to buy some good meat. We were able to find parking in the lot and made the line outside to walk in. Once I did, I was surprised to see how small the place is inside, its basically a two-lane area with the cashier at the end. I was very confused on how to order meat, I got a number but they were not going by those, and then I got one of the meat cutters' attention, I asked about a tomahawk, he weights it and then just jumped into another conversation with another client. We left without buying a thing, I was pretty uncomfortable with the situation. The prices seemed reasonable but not everything is priced visibly.

I stopped in to stock up on meat. I got a great price on a huge 10 lb bag of chicken quarters (which is what I was looking for). $10!!! I happily walked away with a huge haul of meat. -beautiful, hand picked 1.5 lbs of churrasco, cut to my request. -a LARGE package of "Rabo" which is the tail. MY FAVORITE! When I made it, 4 of us ate a good size dinner and had leftovers for two more meals. -a giant sized package of colombian chorizo. We have eaten it a few times and I had to freeze most of the rest of it. Best of all, they were observing all sorts of extra hygiene: Every single employee wearing good quality masks. Greeter at the door to control how many people entered, extra cleaning of utensils, butcher changed his gloves between customers. Super clean place, near downtown, good parking!

During a pandemic you'd expect a business to be on top of their hours and availability but instead these guys are all based on luck. We tried viewing their Instagram and google to view their operating hours and they say they will remain open and continue selling their meats but when arriving Sunday at 1:15pm (when it says they close at 3pm) my husband waits outside for more than 10mins without any advisory and has to ask if he can purchase meats. He then is rudely told they're closed as if he should have known. No update on social media, no communication anywhere, no respect. I understand everyone is stressed out but don't post that you'll continue operating like normal if you actually won't.

My family has shopped at Ricky's before, but it was my first time visiting. I accompanied my mom who was buying steaks for a bbq and i took advantage to buy salmon when I saw it at $7.99lb, but I instantly regretted the buy. I am very particular on my fish and i would much rather spend a few extra bucks at Publix. The meats are good for the prices you purchase these. If you're a red meat eater and have a bbq, buy your cuts here. They have some vegetables inside and outside of the store, but again go somewhere else for this. It gets a bit packed, especially on the weekend, so come with your best attitude and be nice to the butchers.

Ricky's is about as cool as it gets when it comes to Miami butchers. It's been around forever. You can get a great price on prime and choice cuts here, especially if you hit them on sale. We got prime NY strips for $7.99/lb one day. They have other cuts that you won't be able to get at regular supermarkets, meaning both type of cut and size. This is a great place to get good quality chorizo and blood sausage. You can also pick up some essential vegatables, seasonings, and other stuff, but there is not a huge selection. This place is connected to a car wash, too. If it's your first time, you're going to want to walk past the car wash and enter into Ricky's through the hung plastic strips. ORDERING PROCESS If your Spanish isn't very strong, let me help you not look like an idiot (like me). It starts simple. Get a number. Then you need pick out the other stuff that you can grab yourself. Place your order once they call your number, and give them the stuff you picked out yourself. To pay, go to the counter to the left of the meat counter (it's directly in front of you when you walk in). Now, take your receipt/ticket outside and turn right. They will prepare your order and someone will bring it to you, using your receipt to identify your order. Repeat weekly! If Ricky's had a keg on tap, like another butcher that I know, I would give the coveted 5 star rating.

The one on one service from the butchers are exceptional. They will help you select what you're looking for and guide you in the right direction. So I ran publix in search of burger patties for the Super Bowl. Of course, I waited till the last minute to do so and discovered they ran out. Anyways, yelp to the rescue (as always)! I found this cute little butcher shop that probably saved me from being the only host in super bowl history to forget the burgers. About the shop: really easy to get to, super affordable, amazing staff and most importantly my life saver. I highly recommend it!

Bought 100 pounds of chicken and 80 percent of it went bad the next day and they didn't want to do anything about it other than tell me to wash it with cold water to take out the rotten smell.

This is my favorite true butcher shop to go to. Docking it a half a star just because the website is never updated. Other than that I have never had a complaint about this place.

Ricky's is a great resource for all your red-meat supply needs (they also have pork). I wouldn't come here if I need only a few pieces of filet or something, but I always come here before a BBQ. (and when I say BBQ, I don't mean the American version during 4th of July... I mean the real Argentine/ Uruguay BBQ... the good stuff!) They have great short ribs (@ only $3.49/lb!) and good quality churassco (I think around $3.99/lb). Some of the meats have a weight minimun, (short ribs are 10 lb min) but you can get a smaller amount, it's just that it'll be a little more expensive. If you want filet mignon, I think you have to get the whole vacum sealed filet and take it home to clean and portion. The quality of the meat is always good and because they are always super busy, it's always fresh. Ricky's is always busy, but they are very well organized. Steps to your successful Ricky's experience: 1. Go in, take a ticket and wait for your turn. Usually this doesn't take more than 10 minutes. 2. Tell the butcher what you'd like, and be nice b/c then they'll get you the meat that was just cut fresh! Also, if you want an extra thick cut pork chop or something, they will do special cuts. I got 10 lbs of churassco and he even asked me if I wanted him to clean it for me! And the place was packed! So the service here is very good. 3. So after they bag your meat, he'll give you a piece of paper. 4. Pick up anything else you need and stand in line to pay. 5. Pay w cash or c.c. and the cashier will give you a reciept. 6. Then go outside, make a sharp right to the side of the building and wait for your cart of meat. 7. A guy will bring it to your car for you in a box, esp. if it's a lot or heavy. A $2 tip is nice to have handy for this. 8. Congratulations, you just shopped at Ricky's the best butcher in Miami! And don't forget the sea salt!

While Ricky's isn't probably the most convenient place in the world to shop, you have to give it a lot of props. First of all it's a full service butcher shop. There just aren't very many of these in Miami. Second, there's an excellent selection of meats. I saw one review that said that this was the place to go for a Uruguayan or South American barbecue and not the American variety, I disagree. The selection here is so varied you can go for both. I had a bbq last week and needed a whole packer's brisket to smoke, and Ricky's was the only place in town that had it for me. And get this. They have it every day. The prices at Ricky's are great and the meat is of good quality. You're not going to find grass fed and prime cuts, but that's not what Ricky's is for. I do highly recommend this place for your next bbq though. North American or South American.

Rickys Meat market by far the best meat store in the miami area. The price and quality of meats from this business is unbeatable. Been going to this location for at least 10 yrs and have always felt like it is a hidden gem for miamians. I always purchase my 10lb bag of boneless chicken breast which usually range between 16 and 20 bucks depending on the sale at that particular time and also all my churrasco which usually goes for 6 to 8 bucks a pound. my only critique of the place would be that they don't sell ground turkey but I guess that's why they have Publix and Winn Dixie for

Ricky Meat's is a hidden gem and Miami's genuine butcher shop. I started telling my friends about the place from all corners of Miami. I can honestly say they are now addicted. Once you buy meat which includes vasillo, pork loin, ribeye etc. you will see that big name supermarkets cannot compare. If you like old school things than this is the place. Having a personal relationship with your butcher is standard practice here. Get to know Ricky the owner, who is also one of the only certified Master Butchers in Miami.

Don't be unduly seduced by the third-world-discovery charm of this place. Remember that golden rule for shopping in the third world: "buyer beware". There's at least one good reason the receipt says "No Returns after 24 Hrs. - All Sales are Final - Check Products Before you Leave".

moved from west side where many asians live. here Miami, I couldn't find the right store to get the pork belly and LA galbi. here is awesome! their whole fresh pork belly is good for korean steamed bossam. also their LA galbi is so awesome. it is only 5.99 per lb but when u buy more than 10 lb, it would be 4.99 per lb!! so cheap and fresh. their vegetables and fruits are so cheap too.
