"In more than two decades, this taqueria has moved three times. It's now situated in the Centro Histórico of Mexico City near the Mercado De San Juan. There are just a few red stools, so come early or you'll eat standing up. This taqueria specializes in handmade Toluca-style chorizo and sausages. Sample individually to appreciate the flavors and unique characters of each chorizo or mix them for an equally satisfying experience. Top with grilled or fresh onions, French fries, cilantro and various salsas. Obispo is a large pork-based sausage, seared ever so slightly for a delicate crisp, while chorizo tamarindo is diced then grilled and delivers a subtle sweetness and terrific flavor." - Michelin Inspector

"A place to try green chorizo from Toluca—a vividly green sausage made with parsley, cilantro, and green chiles (serranos and poblanos)—best ordered in tacos and often topped with guacamole, grilled onions, cheese, or even fries; the kitchen also offers four house-made salsas, two of which are very spicy." - Sophie Friedman

Tacos. Ricos Tacos Toluca is the spot in CDMX for tacos de chorizo. They bring their sausages straight from Toluca and the green, red, tamarind and habanero chorizos are all delicious. The best in my opinion is the habanero chorizo tacos. All are served with drilled onions and fried chips.
Super clean stall, great quality meat and fantastic freshly made salsas (very spicy!). They also prepare their own aguas frescas and they’re really refreshing. Michelin-recognised and absolutely worth a visit.

Super delicious tacos 🌮 with variety of toppings. Meat only options. I had cecina, chorizo verde and chorizo habanero and they were all delicious! I payed 95 pesos for these 3 tacos. Very nice staff and it’s possible to wash hands in their sink, which I appreciated before and after eating the tacos 😄👌🍋🟩 three different salsas to choose from & all you can eat limes 🍋🟩
I will be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We loved the chorizo tacos here! Wish we had more and tried the tamarind one 😭 We just played it safe bc it was our first street tacos of the trip.

My bf has celiac and I asked ahead of time via fb if they use any thing that might contain gluten. with my broken Spanish and google translate I asked one of the employees again if any of the meat marinate contained “salsa inglesa/negra or salsa de soya” she confirmed and said it contains neither. We were worried about potential cross contamination bc of our strict gluten free diet and I had seen some sort of sauce that they pour over some chopped steak so I asked. The staff were so friendly😩 bless their souls.
We didn’t try the salsas just to be safe, but I’m sure they’re safe. The tacos come with fries/papas we just ordered without.
Honestly the first and the best place for gluten free folks. I really hope they don’t add any gluten items on the menu in the future 😩. Please keep it save so we celiacs/hashimotos/EoE can continue coming.
They do a good job of labeling their menu stating they have nuts in their chorizo. So those with a nut allergy avoid.

Among the best tacos in CDMX!
We ordered the chorizo verde, chorizo rojo, chorizo tamarindo, and cecina natural (con chorizo tamarindo).
Each one was delicious! But my favourite was the chorizo tamarindo because of its tangyness that complemented the rich pork perfectly.
This is a true taco stand, standing room only. And you're on a busy corner, so it's not intimate. But, in my opinion, that doesn't matter when the tacos are this good!

Michelin guide said that this is one of the best taquerias in Mexico City. I tried their chorizo verde, chorizo habanero, chorizo tamarindo y cecina adobada. All of the tacos are topped with onions and french fries. If you're not into pork, then this place is NOT for you! Overall,
I do wish at least one of their two salsa options were spicy.

Notes: standing room only! Don't expect seats. Bring cash, and enjoy the street vendor experience.
The entire team gave great and friendly service. You order first, eat, then pay.
RECOMMENDATIONS: chorizo verde and tamarind. The different salsas are great. Roasted chile was a favorite!
Thank you for a great experience:)
Can't wait to come back!

Tried the chorizo verde from the recommendations of the other reviews here and it was good. The ordering system is kinda chaotic since there is no line sometimes. Pretty popular place for locals and foreigners. Fair prices
