I have nothing but good things to say about this wine and beer shop. The owners are wonderful. I work for a nonprofit and host occasional fundraising events and they are always so helpful in helping me pick out a wine menu for events. Every time I come in, I feel welcomed. They have a great selection of products and also have glasses you can enjoy in house. I had a very stressful day today and the owner has been so kind - checking on me while I enjoy glass of wine to relax. Great neighborhood spot.

Very helpful and friendly service. The stout recommendation was great. They have a wide selection of Bourbon and passable selection of Rye whiskey. It's worth a stop if you are looking for booze.

I have been visiting Ridgewood Wine & Beer for the last several years, and I have to say everything about this business is top tier. Their selection is always broad enough to incorporate anyone’s tastes, their atmosphere is very welcoming, and their staff are always friendly. This is a place that anytime I have people visit from out of town I try and bring them to, because it truly exemplifies what a great business is. If you haven’t visited Ridgewood Wine & Beer yet I highly recommend that you do, you will not be disappointed.

Ridgewood is just plain smart. It looks neat and clean (a huge plus for me), but its more than just a wine/beer shop. You can order a draft beer from a great selection, or buy a glass of wine, and just hang out and relax for awhile. We weren't quite anticipating this set-up and loved it. We came on a Saturday afternoon to check out the store and participate in their complimentary Saturday afternoon wine tasting from 4-6. We ended up staying for at least an hour and a half. Such a fun place, we'll definitely be back.

Arrived early at Ridgewood today to purchase some wine for Easter. They were not open but the gentleman was very accommodating by letting me in early. The selection of wine was good and the gentleman was helpful. I recommend Ridgewood Wine and Beer.

This store is so nice! They have a great selection of wine and a wall dedicated to beer. The bar area is closed off since they are not serving during COVID-19. I was looking to try a few individual cans but most of their selection appeared to be by a 4 or 6 pack, luckily I was able to pick a few from the cooler. If you are looking for a specific beer or type of wine you should definitely check this place out.

I was impressed with their selection and their staffs knowledge. These guys were able to give suggestions based on very non-technical description. I will absolutely come back for more recommendations!!!

My go-to Wine/Beer store when driving in and out of Raleigh. I can't tell you how many times I drove past Ridgewood Shopping Center and even stopped into Whole Foods before really seeing this place. The staff is friendly and the majority of the time greet customers and tries to help you pick out that perfect drink pairing. Although I've never had anything on draft here, they do have a small list and seating if the customers looking to drink in house. They have a good selection of beer and wine, and they prices are definitely less expensive then Whole Foods around the corner. I don't stop by Ridgewood often, but whenever I do, I'm sure to find something to peak my interest and I love that they package up bottles of wine, it makes for a great gift without having to invest in wrapping paper (although they also sell wine bags there!) So, next time you're in a pinch, stop by Ridgewood for all your adult bottle needs.

Love the variety of draft beers on the 16 taps. Sipping on an English bitter at the moment, not the most common beer on draft, but an old favorite of mine. Nice selection of wines and beers. Like the wine tastings and ability of getting a beer flight as I always love tasting new beverages. Staff is nice, helpful, without being annoying! Great place to go while the wife is at the yarn store. ;-)

So, I stopped in here over the weekend to check out the beer selection. And after two minutes, I walked back out. The selection isn't really that good. I can't speak to the taps, but what was on the shelves was a very small proportion of the beers that you can find in any of several other bottle shops around town. And, they were the same beers, and at a higher price, than other locations like Bottle Revolution or Tasty Beverage or Total Wine. My biggest complaint is that they only sold the 22oz beers in singles; I'm not going to buy a four- or six-pack of some brew I'm really only interested in trying once. So with that, I walked back out. I didn't really look at the wine or the prices, but they seemed to have a decent selection. Nothing like Total Wine or anything, but it may be worth trying for a wine aficionado. Since I'm not one, though, I can't speak to it.

Great place to stop by for a beer after work. Their craft beer selection on draft is pretty extensive, so you know you'll find something you like! I really love the seating and table area within. Ridgewood is an awesome place to enjoy your beverage while hanging out with friends. I really enjoy the combination of craft beer and wine in one spot, but with this comes a limited selection of each.

Staying in Cary, I'd say it was worth the trip over towards NC State. Purposefully selected beers by the owner and organized accordingly. Has draft pours of great beers. Love seeing Bond Brothers on tap. I talked beer for a little bit with the owner and it was slow for Fourth of July weekend. Was waiting for RedLine to open up to purchase some Asheville Craft beer cans from Burial. Decent local selection. Glad I stopped but I've seen more impressive bottle shops - felt like this one was more geared towards high end wine.

This place is awesome! Great shop to stop in after work, or linger around for a drink at one of the high tables. The staff is helpful but never pushy, wine prices are great - your money really does go farther in a shop like this. You can spend the same $10-$15 that you'd spend at the grocery store on a bottle, but instead know that you're getting something great.

"Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name and you're always glad you came." Love this spot! Craft beers, affordable wine and always great service. This is a classy place newbies, not a bar. There is a drink maximum and early closing times so make sure you watch the clock. There's also no tipping the staff....all cash tips go directly to a local charity! They have two TVs so you can usually catch a game or two without a monster crowd. My husband and I meet friends there all the time! It's a great way to unwind, relax and enjoy beer that you just can't get anywhere else. The taps are ALWAYS spotless so there's no weird before/during/after taste to the beer and they always have an excellent selection of rotating IPAs, stouts, ales, sours and seasonal beers.

This should be a terrific destination. Walking distance from my house, rotating taps, etc. Instead, unfriendly staff and overpriced beers. $7 for a 12 oz pour? Hard to imaging how this group of individuals decided to go into the hospitality business. Never going back.

Great wine store! I love the way it's laid out, very easy to shop. Customer service is friendly and they carry some interesting wines that I have not been able to find elsewhere in Raleigh. I didn't get over the the beer side of the store, but it looked like they had a pretty good selection as well. I will definitely be back!

Favorite craft beer place in Raleigh. 16 taps (sometimes #16 is for wine), always with a wide variety and a number of favorites. Friendly and helpful staff. Owners treat staff like human beings. Staff is paid such that all tips (cash tips only) go to charity, and shop is closed many holidays so staff can enjoy holidays, too. Prices in bottle shop are lowest in area that I have seen. Ditto for the draft beers. Growlers (available for most beers) are quite the deal, too.

Good selection of beer and wine and reasonable pricing. However, the owners/staff are extremely condescending. I've been in there numerous times and every time I leave, I swear I'm never going back. They make you feel like you showed up to a black-tie event in cutoff jeans. I've heard other people who've shopped there say the same thing.

This place is fantastic. The guys are incredibly friendly and knowledgable. Prices and selection are among the best in the area. The drafts available are among the best priced and best variety around.

This may be my favorite spot in Raleigh to sit and have a beer. They usually have around 16 taps with one of the most varied selections I've come across, Raleigh or otherwise. Even the future Ms. W., who isn't a huge beer fan, has found something she on tap that she loves on each visit. And have you seen any other place in Raleigh feature six Mikkeller taps? Due to the wide selection, it's almost impossible for me not to try a couple of flights when visiting. I'll agree with Matt B. that the selection may not be as wide as some other stores, but unless your looking for the most rare of beers, they've probably got it and as far as I've seen, it'll be at a reasonable cost. The guys that run the shop are very nice, know their stuff and run an awesome shop. Cheers!

I really enjoy this place. The staff are very knowledgeable and the selection is outstanding. Atmosphere is intimate but you don't have to be afraid to talk. They don't serve food but will allow you to bring in food - and whole foods is right around the corner.

Just Opened. This place is amazing, lots or hard to find Beers and Wines. I met the 3 owners, all great guys. If you are a beer person, try a flight (4 beers, about 2 oz. each). Keep it up guys!

This is my absolute favorite wine store. Love the atmosphere here, very nice and laid back. Does not have a pretentious air to it all (but they do carry some very famous and expensive wines). All the wines are hand picked by the owners, and most times there only a few bottles of it, so you know they don't just have case after case sitting there. They do however have some more popular and budget friendly wines in the center that they tend to have more stock of. I have yet to get a bad suggestion from the owners, expensive or inexpensive, new world or old world. They have a great selection of beer too, and there is a nice little bar in the back where they have a rotating tap and quire a few tables set up.

These guys are awesome. We live right down the street and frequent the place once or twice a week. They have an exceptional selection of bottled and draft beers that change often. We are always finding new and exciting things to try. They also age beers in house, so they are able to offer beers that no one else does. It's warm, cozy, smells nice, and the customer service is unparalleled.

They always have 16 beers on tap, with helpful details on each of the beers along with the price (4-1/2 oz., 12 oz. or growler). The beers seems to span a pretty wide variety of types, tastes and ABV. At an average of $4 for a glass (the high gravity and limited edition beers tend to go for more), it's a great opportunity to sample some beers that you may not otherwise try. Who knows, you might find yourself a few new favorites. I like the atmosphere. Not a bar, but more of a controlled setting (they limit you to 4 beers and are strict about it) for tasting and drinking beer and wine, with the opportunity to socialize with friends and actually be able to hear each other talk. They close relatively early (like 7pm), but it's just right for a beer or two after work. Occassionally, I would like for some of the beers to be a little colder (they don't use frosted glasses), but the beer is acceptably cold for the most part. In additional to the beer on tap, they carry a wide range of beers in singles, 4 and 6 packs. Selection is excellent.

My favorite wine shop in Raleigh. The selection is varied and affordable. I find things there I don't elsewhere and am rarely disappointed.

Bad bad bad business sense. I can't tell you how many times I have tried to bring family/friends into this shop around a holiday. Today is a Saturday July 2nd and they are CLOSED because of July 4th. This is the 3rd time it's happened to me (trying to bring friends in for a glass of wine and seeing a sign posted on a door that they are closed!) when it is not even a holiday. I do love their beer and wine but it is very aggravating when a business with multiple owners cannot get themselves or even an employee to open up?! Again, just plain bad business sense.

The classiest Beer/Wine shop in town and the owners......all individual personalities....are very knowledgable and give great service. Their 16 taps ALWAYS have something killer flowing as well as very good pours of wine by the glass. If they dont have something...ask..they can get it..Just come in, relax and have something to sip on.......you will be happy you did.

The guys at Ridgewood are some of the kindest, most knowledgeable beer and wine lovers I've had the pleasure of coming across. The atmosphere here is comfortable and relaxed. Whether you're an experienced drinker or not sure what you like, they are able to help you out. One of the best places in Raleigh! Worth the visit!

I drink beer all over the country, considering myself a beer tourist in the summer. I know of only one beer place where the staff knows more about beer than here, and that's in Oregon. So, if you are on this side of the Rockies, this is the place to drink beer.

Excellent quality wines. I know I won't get a migraine from these wines. They are carefully chosen and kept at the perfect temperature. If they are closed, I am not buying wine elsewhere! I am impressed by the number of people sitting at their tables just enjoying a glass. The staff is very nice. No wine snobs here!
