Beautiful spot with a great views, live music (small cover charge), wine, and some easy food. They have an indoor and outdoor area and plenty of parking. It’s rare to find such places within an easy drive/ferry from San Francisco so this was quite fun! The food is not overpriced, and plenty of pub style options. We only tried the fries and the server was kind enough to get us extra Tabasco. Not the biggest fan of their wines. The Pinot(s) were good but I didn’t like their syrah, nor the zin. My rating mostly represents the vibe, views, and staff. The band was great too.

Located at the end of Canal Blvd, this winery uses an historic building from the WWII Kaiser Shipyard. Offering great vista views of SF and the Marin Headlands past Brooks Island. Everyone there was very friendly and the walk through the winery to the tasting area was interesting. A great band, but the acoustics of the large open rafter space reduced the quality of their performance. We had a baked pretzel, which was passing just okay being over baked, and there was no melted cheese as the menu listed. A Quatro Formagio Pizza was tasty but undersized for the price. We didn't get to try the house wine, but the rose' we were served was good but from a different cellar. I would give them another visit when the weather is warmer for wine and music, but skip the food menu.

I enjoyed the wine, cider and available food truck during my 1st time visiting Riggers Loft. Located in the historic Richmond Shipyards district, I especially enjoyed the panoramic views of San Francisco bay and skyline and the free parking.

The view cannot be matched. They have outdoor seating very near the waters of SF Bay. You can see the hills of the East Bay as well as the Bay Bridge and sailboats floating in out of the Richmond harbor. I don't drink, but my friends enjoyed their alcoholic libations.

Beautiful view! I did a cider flight and it was excellent. I'm still thinking about pistachio mortadella pizza that I had. Also, we loved that there was live music indoors but still had plenty of space to talk at a normal level outdoors. I will plan to visit again soon!

Well i have a new favorite place in the east bay! Total hidden gem. Wines from different wineries, live music, sailboats slipping by, and a great view of SF/TI— so great!! Their automated method of ordering food is brilliant, and it works perfectly. Why drive all the way up to Napa to battle the throngs of tourists? Just drive out to Point Richmond and have a way better experience with way less b.s.

My husband and I visited this establishment on just 28th, 2020. We came in after reading past reviews and we were super excited about the potentially positive new experience. Well they allow dogs, which was the positive perk, but the wine and snacks were way overpriced and definitely not worth the price. The wine was terrible and the almonds were greasy and the Olives were kind of old and stale. Overall, we look at each other and said “another place added to our list of do not come back to”. I was not impressed.

Lovely! They were very thorough and careful with social distancing, and it felt safe. The patio was beautiful and the wine was delicious.

10 stars! I went to a going away party at the winery on Sunday and realized after I got home that one of my diamond earrings was missing. Left a voicemail and the owner Kevin called me back within 10 minutes, told me he was headed to the winery on a holiday Monday and would look for my earring. He also thoughtfully asked where we had parked and whether I had been in the restroom so he could look there. HE.FOUND.IT! Called me back, made arrangements for me to pick it up and refused my offer of a reward. Restored my faith in humanity. Please give Kevin and Barbara your business, they are good people!

If you haven't been to Riggers Loft, highly recommend checking out on a weekend exploration of Richmond. Tucked away in the Port of Richmond shipyards, this family-owned space is filled with love ~ there's music on select dates/times, a wine bar/tasting room, cider from Far West, delicious food, and epic views of the Bay. Chef Frank Miller is awesome ~ we chatted with him for a while about food, the space, and Richmond. Such a cool and talented person who whipped up an amazing wood-fired pizza and Brussels sprouts. A huge fan of Far West cider, there's nothing better than getting a tasting sampler and sitting outside by the water on a weather appropriate afternoon taking in the sips and ships! There's a little something for everyone here - when we came, there were a lot of families and larger groups celebrating life's milestones. Whether you're a wine or cider person, or just want to explore Richmond in a different way, Riggers Loft should have a spot on the list! There is plenty of parking and also views of the historic SS Red Oak Victory Ship. If you're planning an event, this space is also known for wedding bookings and more!

i Had my 80th birthday celebration here on a Sunday afternoon in December! Great staff to work out the menu and table arrangement! And the stars were with us! Great weather and the party moved outdoors! The chef was great, both in terms of food offered, and in terms of planning with me for the menu! The person who works on setting up special events was very helpful. I highly recommend Riggers for an event!

Boooo biked all the way here and it was closed. No sign or anything. No problem to hosting private events - but I felt crazy wandering around trying to figure a way in or if the place was still in business. Wanted to enjoy the views and food after biking over and probably would have been less annoyed if hadn't been looking forward to the tasty food!

Great spot with an amazing view of the bay. Quiet and sheltered away from traffic and city noises. large outside space to bask in the sun on a sunny day, and feel the sea breeze. The wine was not my favorite, but perhaps i'll try a different blend the next visit. They had Pizza that looked tasty to try as well. When I went there was a cover charge but they had a live band, which depending on what you're looking for is a plus or minus.

I went there to hear my friend's band. I don't drink, so I can't talk about the primary "thing", which is wine service! Love the environment, but terrible acoustics!

If you're looking for a spot with a clear view of San Francisco, this place has got you covered. Seriously, the view is unobstructed and it's a sight to behold (when it's not foggy). Even on the hottest day, it can get pretty windy out here. So, if you're planning a visit, don't forget to bring a windbreaker. Riggers Loft is home to wine and Far West Cider and they've got some tasty options to quench your thirst. Just be prepared to cough up around $15 for a drink. Yep, it's a bit on the pricier side. The food options, however, are a bit limited. Don't get me wrong, they've got your basics covered like pizza and fish and chips, but don't expect any fancy gourmet dishes. You're paying around $18 for something pretty basic, so keep that in mind. One thing that Riggers Loft has going for it is the open space. It's perfect if you're looking to host an event or just spread out with a big group of friends. All in all, Riggers Loft is worth a visit for the incredible view and the relaxed atmosphere. Just be prepared for some wind, bring your wallet for those drink prices, and don't expect a mind-blowing culinary experience. SYOY!

I rushed here after work to watch your hands play the bass with your band. I smiled seeing all of the happy people dancing to your music. I blew you kisses and chatted with your friends about art and hair textures while you mouthed to me "take me home".

Wonderful, under the radar, spot right on the waterfront! It's a bit of a trek from most parts of the East Bay that aren't near Richmond (and even from Richmond it's a relatively long winding drive through a shipyard) - but that meant it wasn't busy at all when we went at 5pm on a Friday! We made reservations but based on the availability of tables - at least on that evening - we probably didn't need to. We met a friend and our group had two toddlers - they had a lot of fun walking around the outdoor patio, whilst we enjoyed a tasting flight of various Far West Cider Co's ciders. Good comfort food options (pizza, fries, brussel sprouts and the like) and that Friday they had a band playing some exceptional jazz. The patio has wide open views of the Bay and if you have kids who like spotting boats, there was the occasional sailboat and ferry sailing by which kept them entertained! It was a little cool in the evening and there aren't heat lamps - so bring a sweater! Would highly recommend stopping by - I'll definitely be going back!

Such an interesting space and concept. I loved both the indoor and outdoor seating options; the view from the patio is absolutely stunning on a clear day. I loved that they had live music on the patio and a variety of food and beverages to choose from. Definitely a hidden gem if you find yourself in the area. You can make a reservation for the patio and they are dog and child friendly. Parking can be a little restricted, but the day we were there, we managed to find a spot.

Don't you hate Yelpers who proclaim a place as the "hidden gem" of whatever? As if their own discovery implies no one else has experienced their moment of catharsis already. Been there, done that. That's why I'll bite my lip before stating that Riggers Loft is the hidden gem of Richmond. Even though it is. Listen, Jamie W. and I just happened upon it when we were taking our daily constitutional and found ourselves traipsing on Canal Blvd. after it turns into a curving two-lane blacktop. We walked around the conspicuous S.S. Red Oak Victory ship and found the inconspicuous red door to a large warehouse. Inside were rows of barrels with a wine tasting bar island in the middle. Outside were widely spaced tables set up on an expansive terrace, all occupied since a private event was taking place when we visited. The panoramic views of San Francisco in the distance were quite arresting. The mellow setting lured us back a few weeks later, and we did the same leisurely forty-minute walk from Miller Knox Regional Park. This time, it wasn't quite as crowded, so we paid the $5 cover charge per person in order to park ourselves at an available table for two on the terrace. We decided to share a $35 bottle of the sparkling wine, Methode Champenoise Lodi, Blanc de Blanc from R&B Cellars (photo: https://bit.ly/37wNnJg). It was an effervescent treat that went well with the food we ordered by QR code and the live music provided by an Dirty Cello, a hipster blues/bluegrass hybrid ensemble that played radio favorites like "Sixteen Tons" and "Fortunate Son" with panache. We came back today. Same walk. Different musicians. This time it was jazz guitarist Jinx Jones (great name) with his accomplice, both of whom stayed inside with the wine barrels. I apologize for the long review but I can't explain it any other way: My partner and I booked this venue for our wedding celebration last year. Having grown up in Richmond, finding a venue here meant a lot to me. We were so excited! We picked our date, signed the contract and paid the deposit. As we were preparing for it, we decided to pay the rest of the venue fee so we didn't have a huge bill at the end. Sadly, life happened and we had to cancel to deal with urgent personal matters. That was devastating enough. We knew we were gonna lose half of our deposit and had accepted that loss. What we weren't expecting was what came after. Before canceling, if I reached out with any questions I would hear back within a day. Two at most. After canceling, I wouldn't hear back for weeks at a time. I had to keep reaching out. Making sure they got our cancellation notice. Asking to start the refund process. How long it would take. If there was anything else we needed to do on our end. Every few weeks I had to reach out. When I finally heard back it was always an apology and explanation why it was taking so long. I get it, things happen. When we finally started talking about the refund, we were told we would only get back 50% of the overall payment because we "decided to pay the rest of the venue fee." At this point it really felt like they were trynna get over on us cuz I could've sworn the contract said half of the initial deposit. So my partner and I kept going over it and we just didn't see it. We asked for some clarity and Barbara, one of the owners, insisted that that was their policy. My partner told me that we must've missed something and was ready to deal with that bigger loss. But it just didn't sit right with me. Why would they keep half of everything when they didn't know that we would decide to pay for the whole venue in advance? The rest of that payment wasn't due until after the wedding. Anyways, I ended up asking one of the staff attorneys at my job and they agreed. According to their cancellation policy, if we cancel 60 days before our event, they would keep half of the initial deposit. It didn't mention anything about any additional payments. When we got back to them with this, they agreed and said we were right. By this time I'm even more uncomfortable with this dynamic. I began to question their professionalism and their intentions. If we had just gone with what they told us, would they have just taken our money? Also, has this situation never come up for them before that they honestly didn't know their own cancellation policy or how to deal with it? Now, I'm spiraling and super stressed. I just wanna get our refund and be done with this situation. But that was not the case. Again, I have to chase them down for updates. No response for weeks at a time. The refund was finally sent. My partner and I were grateful that we are finally gonna be done with this. We open the check and it's half of what the refund is supposed to be. WTH?!?!? I reach out, again. They've split the payment in two and didn't mention that. Okay, I guess?!? I deposit the check. It was declined for insufficient funds ‍ Reach out again. . . .got more apologies, reasons, excuses and justifications. We are all going through things and times are hard for everyone. ALSO, clear communication is FREE. That is the main thing we were asking for from the beginning. We finally get the first half of the refund. We were told that the second half would come a week later. And then another week goes by and nothing. No communication, no heads up, nothing. We had to send a demand letter to get that last payment. This experience was very unpleasant and stressful. Never again. Unless you are 1000% sure that you won't have a reason to cancel, it's not worth it. 0/10 don't recommend.

My friend who was born and raised in Richmond hosted her baby shower at Riggers Loft.. who knew there was an epic venue on the bay in Richmond?! She visited throughout the pandemic for wine and live music on the weekends with her family and was so impressed by their commitment to safety and COVID-19 protocols she decided this would be the venue for her baby shower. The catering manager said they could prepare any menu for the occasion and she responded, "whatever is easiest." The theme was game day food which was perfect because of playoff football happening that day. The food was absolutely delicious and I would drive from SF to Richmond just for the sliders, carrot cake, and beignets! I've had my fair share of carrot cakes from every bakery in Northern CA and Hawai'i and this by far was the tastiest carrot cake I've EVER had. I cannot stop thinking about it. To top it all off, the views are unmatched and we watched families of seals swimming in the Bay while we ate and drank outside (safety first). The live music is a bonus!! I didn't have many interactions with staff since all the food and wine was included as part of the party but the folks that checked my vaccination card, lady pouring the wine, and a gentleman who got me a bag for the gift wrap trash were super friendly and accommodating. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Riggers Loft as a party venue, or a place to safely enjoy a glass of wine by the bay, or THE BEST CARROT CAKE! (See you in August for my birthday).

A hidden gem in Richmond, CA. You get this glorious view of the bay bridge and the skyline of San Francisco across the bay! The ciders are delicious. And I've heard good things about the wine. Spacious outdoor area and some comfy seating inside as well. I'd always recommend for a good wine down and some drinks with friends!

Lousy wine...like seriously, I've never had such bad wine before. Also the staff seem overworked and rude which really reflects on the management. I've recently read an article indicating this business is fighting with the landlord. They should just give up. Close up and move on. Let someone who knows how to run a wine bar step up! We need more cool spots to go in Richmond and this is not one of them.

This was my second time here. I came by for a staff party and I forgot how windy the path to them is. When I went in, the music was jumping and there was wine. I wanted a cider, but had to buy it. When choosing between free wine and an $8 cider, I'm going with the free stuff. The red wine on the table was ok, but the white wine was awesome. It had a name like that or something. They had some caterers for the even and had a nice set up. There weren't as many people attending, and it could be because the place was a far trek for some. Maybe they could take their show on the road and show up to a place with food, wine and throw in some cider for good measure. I'm glad to see that they are still around. I went to their taste of Richmond some years ago and that was a fun event. I hope that it comes back. But in the meantime, this is a cool little spot. It wouldn't be a destination because it is far away from everything, but if I'm invited to something there I'd probably go. But only if I can get in for free.

First time visiting and it was okay. Let me breakdown the experience. Entering: Vaccine proof is required. Digital is okay and I'm glad it was because we did not know ahead of time. Masks are stroll required when not eating or drinking. Dog friendly and there was a dog bowl and treats for my dogs. We were sat inside because we didn't have a reservation but was totally fine with that. Ordering: The service was beyond slow. Like, I waited 20 minutes in a line with 4 people slow. There was only one drink menu and I wasn't able to see it until I got up there to order. I was given 10 seconds to pick something as he stared me down as I examined this two page wine list. The employee at the bar also had his mask off when I was ordering with my mask on. Got my drinks and then brought them back to my seat. Wine: We didn't order food but got 3 glasses of wine. The wine was good but like other reviews, I'll admit they were almost juice-like. Would I go back? Maybe. View is great. There was live music.Maybe if someone came from out of town and wanted to see Richmond, sure. The service really bummed us out.

Our friends band was playing there (Key Elements) so we went to support them and dance. It was our first time there I read mixed reviews we didn't know what to expect. What a nice surprise!!! The welcome was warm, the wine was very good, the view was amazing!! I tasted the wine before I bought a glass. I liked the Wachria Chardonnay next time we'll order the bottle. We also ordered the wood-fired veggie pizza with roasted vegetables. Yummmy Check out their calendar for upcoming bands. Reserve a table if you want to sit and stay. Bring a hat and sunscreen. We came here to celebrate one of our friends birthday and was pleasantly surprised how beautiful this hidden gem was. Although this place is tucked away in Point Richmond, this place eventually was packed by 3pm. On a normal sunny 80 degree weather this place was pretty chilly, so make sure to bundle up when visiting here, it's pretty windy since your right by the water. They offer food made in house which was not bad at all! They have cider and wine to enjoy here. We all decided to try the cider flights which were fun and yummy! They had a live band as well, and when there is music there is a $5 cover fee for all adults. Overall we had a great time enjoying the music, cider, and beautiful skyline of the city by the water.

Great views! This place is very hidden. As we drove up, we kept having to double check the instructions to make sure we were at the right place. Sure enough, we found it and were amazed at the views and the historic Red Oak ship. The entrance was a little confusing at first, but we found the red door entrance and were shocked to see the huge space. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor space to spread out. Be sure to have your vaccination proof as they are checking your vaccination status before you enter. We initially sat outside, but it was too chilly for my liking so opted for inside. We ordered the Mediterranean and charcuterie plate. I was a little disappointed the charcuterie plate came with pita bread because I was hoping for crackers or bread to pair with the soft cheese. The Mediterranean plate was good though and I might get that one the next time. As for the wine, I was disappointed in the quality and taste. I ordered the 2017 Sauvignon Blanc from the North Coast region (can't remember the exact name) and it was very tart and sour. It felt like the wine was still green and needed to age more. My partner ordered a Zinfadel which was better, but a bit too sweet and jammy. For our second glasses, we ordered the house 2017 rosé. They were okay, but again a little too tart for my liking. I'd definitely return for the views and to plan a party because of the great space, but I think I might stick to another type of wine.

One of the best decisions my husband and I made was to have our wedding at Riggers Loft. From start to finish, the owners, Barbara and Kevin, were super friendly and responsive, and really took great care of us. Also, the venue itself is super unique, and we got a ton of compliments on our choice from our guests! You really can't beat the amazing view of the SF skyline, being right on the Bay, in such a cool and historic area. Oh, and the wine and cider selections are simply impeccable! We cannot recommend this venue more highly!

I hosted a family and friends appreciation celebration (wedding reception) here, and it was amazing. I can't shout out Barbara, the co-owner, and Chef Frank enough. They were communicative in setting everything up perfectly. We had food, wines, ciders, non-alcohol drinks and set up for a DJ and table games. We lucked out with beautiful weather and folks were hanging out and playing cornhole outside. I love this place!

Beautiful space! My job rented the venue for an event and everything from the ambiance to the food service and hospitality was exactly what should be expected from a good spot. Nestled so deep in an industrial swath of land that you better hope your GPS gets you there accurately (just FYI, all the staff from our event said that their navigation system got them directly to the location), Riggers Loft is an urban winery that departs from the typical scenes of greenery that may be conjured when you hear the word "winery". The inside space is a sprawling setup of tables, with lights strung above and dark decor. I can only speak for the space as I experienced it during the event, so I can't exactly attest to what it looks like during open hours, but it was gorgeous, so I'm sure they know how to keep it fresh. The outdoor space is framed by a breathtaking view of the Bay, and the only thing separating you from the water is a large concrete slab that speaks to the industrial theme the environment offers. We had the food catered by the venue's kitchen, and it was pretty good, too. My employer didn't seem especially mindful of vegetarians (I mean, who ever is?) because there were 3 meat sandwich options and just 1 jackfruit sandwich veggie option. (I'm not a jackfruit person, so I wasn't able to go that way.) But everyone raved about the food and that's always a good sign. All in all, a great place to go and I'll definitely be back.

Such a cool place to hang out. They are taking covid super serious. You have to sign in, get your temp checked, wash you hands at the door and then your all set. Menu is a QR code. Food was average wine bar food, live music, good drinks, and beautiful views of the city. Plastic cutlery and paper plates were used and everyone had a mask. Mask can only be removed once you are seated. I didn't know this place was here, understandably, it's kind of hidden. Only wish they stayed open a bit later and had a wider food selection, but I understand the food is just an accompaniment, not the focus.

Riggers was a BEAUTIFUL place to get married. The planning was pretty seamless with a very knowledgable and talented staff. Very helpful and understanding. Definitely recommend.

I came here to enjoy a couple glasses of wine in the their outside area. The view is spectacular. They have great Covid-19 protocols in use which include a temperature check, questionnaire and hand washing station prior to being seated. It's bar service only for wine and that is also where you place your order for food. The wine is pretty decent and the flat bread was good. I found the menu to be pretty limited especially since there is no outside food allowed. The service is engaging and friendly. I wish they did tastings, but I can see why they don't. I'd come back for another visit. It's also pretty cool that it's next to the Rosie the Riveter museum.

Beautiful Saturday afternoon, nice jazz band and a well run venue. Ok this placeis a treak into driving out to the farthest corner of town. Fortunately, it is a nice view of boaters and an extensive menu of wines & beers. Personally, I would have preferred more food choices, but the caterer that was there had a nice pizza bead with honey & figs (yummy) and a cheese sampler plate, which was enough to hold us till we got dinner elsewhere. Temp. Taken before enter and wash hand station. All in all...nice venue to enjoy a beautiful day. Suggest come during a music day.

Wow! Have you ever heard of a cover charge for a wine tasting room in 2020's. We'll we were dumb enough to pay the $5 cover each. It was nice to see dog friendly and Milo was there. Then the bad news. A Milo employee told me dogs don't recognize my dog as a dog because of his black face?!?!? Wow! We walked away my wife reminded her Black Lives Matter and these are dogs maybe with the B word involved. Then we are waiting for over a hour and a half for our pizza to come while the same Milo Table enjoyed 2 other pizzas. Never again maybe that was a exception in no way will I support this place terrible with an amazing view.

I had my wedding here, and it was the best decision. The view is breathtaking and Barbara is very prompt in communicating and working with you to put your vision to life. She keeps it realistic so everything is clear from the start. I would highly recommend hosting any event here! It will never disappoint! They also have an in house chef who can whip up anything you desire! I mean, come on, great drinks, amazing food, and a million dollar breathtaking view? What else is needed?!? Such a hidden gem.

Ah the quintessential nor cal Friday night story. I drove over to the Richmond ferry to pick up Bae from her commute in SF visiting her clients office. That in itself is dreamy! As she got off she decided having just drifted by it on the way to the terminal to go for an afternoon, after work glass of wine at the loft. So we meander the whip though the recently landed lots with army's of Subee's literally fresh off the boat lined up neatly, industrial buildings, docks etc until we dead end at Red OaK victory ship and Riggers Loft. A live jazz band playing, a couple of tables of lady's holding parties, and a smattering of couples and singles adorned the space enclosed by barreled of wine sporting photos of the variety of bird life that frequent the bay. Couches tables and high tops surround a centrally located bar serving a couple of ciders and of course variety of wines. The band nestled into between stainless steel vats and barrels in a row facing out to the lengthy exterior wall adorned with windows and a spectacular view of the bay and the city beyond. They used to have food trucks setup out side for something other than wine, but now apparently they have a kitchen. Bae ventured forth and came back with a turkey burger adorned with arugula crispy fries in a little basket. She munched, we drank, me one of the hard ciders, her a couple of red wine varietals. In between songs from the very competent jazz band, we watched the Osprey Cam set up apparently on the roof to keep a close eye on two chicks in their nest, apparently parents long gone. Not a bad place to unwind and transition into weekend mode for sure. Hopefully with the ferry starting on weekends, some of the adventurous SF crew will come across the bay, spy this place and spend an afternoon looking back on their city while chillin and drinking solid local wine.

I'm reviewing Riggers Loft as a wedding venue, as I recently had my wedding here. The venue is spectacular: the views are incredible, the building has the perfect warehouse vibe, and there is an active Osprey nest nearby that adds to the overall allure of the place. Ships, both big and small, float by, reminding you that even though this is part of an old WW2 facility, the nearby port is still very active. My partner and I interacted with Barbara, one of the owners, to plan our wedding. Barbara was always kind, professional, responsive, and totally accommodating of our requests. Thanks to Barbara and Riggers Loft staff, our wedding went even better than we imagined. If you like the feel of this place as a wedding venue, they'll work with you to make your dream wedding become reality. Such an amazing place! Also--our guests loved the wine!

Ambiance: So I love the look of this hidden gem. It's perfect for upscale birthday parties, weddings, a date or day out with friends. You get to take in beautiful views of San Francisco as you sip on your wine or cider. You can choose to sit inside or outside this place is perfect for either. Wine: I tried the Cider which was pretty good but the one that had the best flavor was the Quava Cider. It's sweet, crisp and fruity giving you the perfect buzz after a glass. The wine wasn't that impressive. I went with a flight of the white wine because I'm more so into white than red but I'll try the red next time. Service: great service here. The staff is kind. I would love them to tell you more about the wine while you're tasting. Makes you appreciate and savor it more.

This is a bit off the beaten path but huge space, live music, wines, cider and food. Oh yeah! Will be back in better weather to take advantage of the expansive patio space on the water. Could use a bit more detail around options for tastings or bottles but overall a great find!

Hidden away in the shipyard of Point Potrero is a winery collective that is home to a few wineries and a cider company. They have Happy Hour from 4pm to 6pm on Wednesday and Friday where they offer $2.00 off select wine and cider. They also host a variety of events such as Paint Nite, Live Bands, Trivia Night, Open Mic Night, Oyster Sunday, Fourth of July Fireworks and the Taste of Richmond event. The space is large with different areas of seating from comfy couches to bar stools. They host a lot of private events in this space. They have a nightly catering truck option and it's always really good food. The staff is always nice, I can always count on Frank to provide insight on the wines they have and always good to see a friendly face. One of my favorite features of this place is the location. The "patio" looks out to the bay with views of the bridges and San Francisco in the background. On a sunny day, the wind is slow and warm - which is extremely relaxing coupled with a glass of wine. I was so impressed with this place, I became a wine club member of R&B cellars and visit often. With my membership, I get a complimentary glass of wine or tasting for two and discounts on bottles. Cheers to that!! Check this place out and you'll feel like you discovered a hidden gem!

So this was our first visit. The young people on staff were all sweet, explained how the place worked, friendly and helpful. The young man, Bashir, at the wine bar helped suggest a tasty wine. The huge windows let in lots of light and there was a talented band. Why only 3 stars? The furniture was really uncomfortable. Only high tops available with super wiggly, backless stools. I worried it would collapse. The biggest negative was the food. The menu looks good but don't be fooled. What was supposed to be a soft pretzel with cheese came out as a dry, unevenly cooked, crunchy twist with teeny cups of ordinary yellow mustard. The pizza was small and woodfired, which meant burned in spots. The prices for the food were expensive, those two items added up to $30! We might return, but we wouldn't come hungry.

I find it kind of funny when an establishment is in my "backyard", I go but don't really think about reviewing it. I've been here several times since they opened about four years ago for private gatherings, events, and celebrations, and only now am I getting around to writing about it. Due to Covid-19, their website recommends making reservations, but not required. They also established excellent protocols so you can rest easy. We joined a couple of friends (next door neighbours) who were already seated at the table. Food is provided by Carrie Dove Catering. There is a small selection of items to choose from. We placed our order at the bar for both wine and food. (They also have non-alcoholic beverages and cider available.) We walked back to the table with our glasses and our food was brought to the table shortly afterward. There is enough food per order to share at the table which we normally would have, but we all decided to stick to our own this time. The flatbread with cheese and figs looked delicious. The guys both ordered meatballs that came with toasted garlic bread. I stole a bite from one of hubby's meatballs. It was juicy and tender, good red sauce on it. I had the chicken empanada with a spicy coleslaw and salsa verde for dipping. They have a couple of non-meat options so there is something for everyone. The winery is located on the water in an industrial setting. Outdoor seating is on a pier. It is very pleasant to sit and look out over the water and across the bay to Oakland and San Francisco. You can also see the crane beside the Red Oak Victory liberty ship is where the osprey return year after year to build their nest. Children are welcome. They recommend that you bring your own games for the kids' entertainment (their games are not available). Children must also wear a mask and are not allowed to wander about on their own. Dogs are also welcome, just keep them on a leash and by your side. All in all, it was a lovely evening and we got to hang out with friends we enjoy and love dearly. If things ever get back to "normal", this is a fabulous venue for a special party or gathering, or just to hang out with friends.

The location is interesting and pretty cool however, we had reservations for two which we believed were for outdoor dining. Upon arrival we were told outside was too windy that night so we could sit inside and keep our window open. Would have been nice to know this before arrival. We ordered a bottle of wine ($45) and are pretty sure we received the wrong bottle (we ordered a white and got a red...). To make matters worse, I know that when you order a bottle of wine, it is opened in front of you and poured for a taste and then upon approval the glasses are poured. Here, the waiter brought the bottle and two already poured glasses and said "oops I'm sorry, I poured your wine already but I swear I just opened this bottle for you." My boyfriend and I were surprised and things got awkward. The server hoped for the best and left us. Not only did we not really have an opportunity to reject the wine (since it was wrong and turned out to be gross) but now we were stuck with this $45 bottle. As my boyfriend paid the bill, he did make it a point to let the manager know that the wine was disgusting. Her response was that hopefully they could make up for it next time. And no, she did not offer anything for next time other than her hope. WHAT??? Why would we come back here? The menu... the place has like five things on their menu, two of which they were out of. They get some credit because their Mediterranean platter was good. This place has a lot of potential but between their lack of snack/food options and sub par service I'd say they are wasting it.

We brought some friends here that love wine. It was so cool that they loved the wine and atmosphere. They were taking lots of pics of the place. They said that they want to come back for Oyster Sunday. We learned that they have Oyster Sunday every third Sunday of the month. I especially thought it was cool that they loved this place because Richmond has such a bad rep. It's nice to introduce friends to the good things that are in Richmond.

Apparently they don't do reservations, but they will charge you $10 on their website to reserve a table, then still charge you a $10 entrance fee, and then tell you that they've reserved a table for you when you call in, just to tell you in-person that you just grab whatever available seat there is because they don't do reservations. I know, it was a real confusing situation to me too and I got ripped off. The ciders were okay. If you order a burger, don't get it with bacon. Their kitchen actually burns it until it's inedible.

Haven't visited Riggers Loft since pre-pandemic and decided that I would never go back - wine was terrible - then. I'm glad my friend found a discount coupon to try it again under new ownership or management. PLEASANTLY, HAPPILY SURPRISED. R & B Cellars Sparkling Rose was wonderful. We had one glass, then went back for another and the friendly bartender commented after I talked about how delicious it was, "so if you're coming back for another glass, why not get a bottle". Good idea! Then we somehow found ourselves talking to another table and they purchased another bottle. The food was average, but the wine made it better. I'll be back with more new customers as long as I don't have a black dog that won't be recognized as a dog because of its black face. WHAT? Server was "new" - couldn't answer questions so he sent another server and we were taken care of. Service was a little slow with just 2 in the area.

We had a private event there in honor of my husband's retirement. A little pricey on the event side (reserved both indoor and outdoor space and on hindsight I'd only reserve one or the other - but it's on the water so it's hard to make a call). I worked with Barbara and she was very communicative and easy to work with. We used Chef Frank Miller who is their in house chef and our guests were very pleased with the food. What I love most about Riggers Loft is the location and views - those can't be beat by anything I've experienced in Richmond. Would recommend for just a nice outing as well as life events/parties. IMO an amazing venue. Service from bar staff was impeccable!

Disappointing - have come here pre-covid and enjoyed the wine and view, but for some reason this time the wine was sooo gross. One of the Sauvignon Blancs tasted like apple cider vinegar, a glass of red tasted like port with some nail polish remover added to it... we tried 5 different glasses and none tasted quite right. The food was also icky - old yellow lettuce and dry meat. My advice: if you come here, make sure to taste test the wine before you order, and stick with appetizers. Two stars because the servers were nice, music was good, and the outdoor seating was lovely.

We arrived after a 6 mile hike in wildcat canyon and were ready to relax! Gorgeous location, even the drive out was beautiful. Love the hidden industrial setting and options for seating indoors or out. My dog was in heaven, he loves music and cool concrete. My date had made a reservation and we were running late but were seated outside still where we could hear the performers and enjoy the view. We had a terrific bottle of champagne, the Mediterranean plate, popcorn and huge cider bottle of water! The variety of people celebrating, relaxing, and gathering with friends made for satisfying people watching. It was quiet enough to talk and have a long conversation but hear jazz. The view is amazing and one I have never seen before. Definitely coming back. The people who worked at the venue were helpful and easy going, very pleasant.

This will be fun to review. I see the energy and potential for this place as becoming the top hangout for everyone especially couples and groups in the near future. We understand plans are in the works. I can see where it could go and what it needs in the short term. It is understated in appearance right not but that is an easy fix in the short term and they have are making plans at this time. People already coming here love it. I do recommend using GPS as the Port Planning committee doesn't make a straight rode until you reach a building or the bay. Riggers Loft Needs a BIG SIGN out front for sure. But it's what's inside that makes the trip worth it. Remember we live in the SF Bay Area. Dress in layers to stay warm. The place is large and can get cool at night. Parking - private and plentiful Greeted/Seated - Happy smiling faces behind the counter Atmosphere - lively Décor - Industrial open warehouse. Kegs and fermentation bins. Service - impeccable, thank you Joey and staff Cleanliness - very clean Menu Selection - 20 + Items from semi-permanent food truck "At their Door" literally. Presentation/Portion - Definitely has the eye appeal. Unique - This place is massive and evolving. Bar - Wine and cider. Maybe beer Value - $$ Cash/Credit - Yes This is a collection of 3 wineries and a cider mill in one location. There are so many wines offered, I get the flight so I can have the wine experience of all of them. Represented are R&B Cellars, Carica Wines, Irish Monkey Wines (which moved from Oakland to this location), and the Far West Cider Company. Here virtually the opposite side of the dock from the "Red Oak Victory" WWII troop transport ship. Tons of parking here. The whole area is magically throwback to a time gone by. Bay views. OMG ... you have to see them to believe them. You won't see a sign for this place. I'm not sure why. But if you are at the aft of the Red Oak Victory ship it's directly across from it next to the Bay. The interior is massive. An array of windows looking out across facing the San Francisco Skyline. (Amazing and romantic at night) On the left are wine barrels coming of age and fermentation tanks. Other off limits back rooms for production. The bar and seating is on the bay side so views and libations fuse nicely. The staff is on spot. They know the products of all the wines, wineries, and cider. The room is always inviting visitors to play ping pong, giant Jenga, and Bean bag toss. Music is all genres from songs like Tequila to Beyond the Sea. Even some mice couches to finish off food comfortably. Food - - - What a nice surprise to see a semi-permanent food truck literally in the doorway taking orders. From burgers to Paella to seared tuna Tacos. Presentation and flavors complimented the wines and ciders perfectly. "STREET EATS" food truck by Chef Paul Skenktny, does an amazing job with a menu of 20+ items. Most of the people there were eating. That is a good sign. You will find them there in the afternoon to evening. I was there for trivia night and that was a hoot. They also have live music on Friday nights. They are considering Karaoke in the future. I got addicted to the giant Jenga. I had a blast and my girlfriend and I were glad to know it is PET FRIENDLY. Yaay. I am looking forward to meeting Adam the manager and not just by phone.

Made a reservation, which actually cost $10 surprisingly. Got there and they said seating was outside but most of the tables are reserved so move quick. Said "oh, one of those will be mine I have a paid reservation" they said nope your reservation didn't come with a table. Asked them what kind of reservation did come with a table, they said "don't know". That may have been something to do with the event happening? Ambiance is nice, they're in one of the old factory buildings south of the Richmond refinery. Long drive past the refinery and factory spaces but follow the signs and you'll get there. Outdoor space on the water with boats going by and seagulls all very nice and pleasant. Seats and tables are the "slightly uncomfortable so you'll leave quicker" variety, mostly stools to perch on with a couple of plastic chair sets if you're quick enough to grab one. Ordering only available by QR code, QR code system requires a bunch of personal info that I didn't feel like giving to some rando back end service just to order from the people 10 feet away. Went inside and asked to order with a person, they went off to find out if that was possible. Came back and said "well I can help you order with your phone", told them no thanks. Never tried the food, ended up eating somewhere else that I really enjoyed.
