Rigiblick

"This welcoming bistro has a relaxed atmosphere. The kitchen team focuses on regional produce, which is used to create really delicious dishes. In summer, head for the leafy terrace. Tip: It is easy to get here by taking tram line 10 followed by the Funicular Rigiblick." - Michelin Inspector

I’ve been to a Rigiblick for a couple of times during my stay in Zurich. I had dinner downstairs and liked it a lot, so I decided to go for dinner at the fine dining upstairs. The ambiance is great! Very spacious and light room with modern eclectic design and a very cool table settings. The service was very attentive and professional! They tell you all about the menu with details and make your dinner a pleasant and enjoyable time. Being a pescatarian, I was very impressed with the menu. Chef creates a flavorful dishes using rich variety of local vegetables and a fresh fish and seafood from different regions. My favorite dish was perch, which was perfectly cooked! Their desserts are very creative, light and combine different flavors and textures of seasonal fruits and berries.

Restaurant Rigiblick is a gorgeous place for dinner and quality time with your beloved ones. The atmosphere, the light, the food and the service is amazing. We had a beautiful and relaxed evening. We went for the 4 way menu - it was delicious. Everything was well selected. The service team (I think it’s the owner) is very helpful and understands its business extremely well. The restaurant has approximately 12 tables outside. I recommend to make a reservation especially during weekends or public holidays. Thanks @Rigiblick for the wonderful evening.

We dined with Vreni for her 50th birthday. Happy birthday first of all. Even tho' she heard it from us in person. The veal liver was delicious. perfectly cooked. Tartar had a nice sweet touch, but the additional spicey offered was not decent. Salad had too much vinegar. Bread was tasty. Haxe was dry. Too dry..

Great tastes, nicely cooked and sunny terrace! That worked well for us, family of 4 (baby and toddler), we could enjoy some tasty 5-dish menu while toddler could make his escapes in the open area next to it!

Chef Giger uses seasonal, regional and fresh products presenting a truly colourful kitchen and a memorable dining experience. Beautiful views from the terrace. Very friendly and attentive service. Great and knowledgeable sommelier. Excellent vegetarian choices. One of the best meals I had in Zurich

I came solo and hungry, never got a menu as they were not happy that I got sitted by myself at the free table while every other table was booked out, they excused saying that they thought I was waiting for someone, but in fact they never asked me, and didn't come even though I was trying to catch them visually :) doesn’t seem to be a solo-friendly place. Though, I got a drink somehow which was brought pretty fast but even there I didnt have luck, I took a non-alcoholic home made something with berries and they were still frozen, I paid 12.5 CHF for it. For this price I think that amount of berries could have been fresh!

Amazing food in a beautiful setting. The "Eierschwämmli Ragout" with "Serviettenknödel und Liebstöckel" was so delicious. I was so happy I went with that choice. No idea what I expected, but it sounded intriguing. Flavor, texture, all about it was great. Great, calm setting in nature with a beautiful view over the city.

Stunning views combined with contemporary design, delicious food, and great service. You take a cute funicular up the hill the reach this hotel. There you'll find a big terrasse that offers great views over Zürich. Meeting rooms of different sizes for events are available. The food at the restaurant is excellent, made from fresh, seasonal ingredients, and nicely presented.

Yelp
There are dining experiences, and then there's the revelatory journey Restaurant Rigiblick takes you on; it's not just a meal but a transcendence into gastronomic nirvana. From the moment I ascended to its scenic perch overlooking Zurich's pristine, picturesque vistas, I knew I was in for an unparalleled treat. The ambiance strikes a delicate balance between intimate sophistication and a warm, welcoming glow. The panoramic views are nothing short of a visual feast, complementing the real masterpieces that arrive on your plate. As the city lights twinkled in the dusk, the stage was set for an unforgettable evening. At Rigiblick, the menu is a fluid symphony conducted by none other than the culinary maestro, the head chef. The dishes are innovative and daring yet grounded in a comforting familiarity. The seasonal ingredients are the show's stars; each presented to the table with an assurance of freshness and a celebration of local produce. Our culinary journey commenced with an amuse-bouche that teased the palate with an explosion of flavors, setting the bar exceedingly high. However, course after course, each dish gracefully met the challenge. From the tender, perfectly seared scallops paired with a vibrant, citrus-infused emulsion to the main course, a succulent cut of venison that melted in the mouth, enriched by a symphony of autumnal accompaniments. The sommelier demonstrated more than knowledge. Each bite was a revelation from pure intuition, pairing each course with an impeccable wine that enhanced and harmonized with the flavors on our plates. Evidently, the wine list had been curated with just as much love and expertise as the food menu. Service at Rigiblick deserves a standing ovation. The staff exudes professionalism, knowledge, and an infectious passion for the culinary arts. They navigated the space between attentive and unobtrusive with a practiced ease, anticipating every need before it was realized. And just when we thought our experience had crescendoed, the dessert proved us wrong. A deconstructed interpretation of a classic was a delightful surprise that engaged all senses, the perfect endnote to a symphony of tastes. Restaurant Rigiblick doesn't just serve food; it's a curator of moments, an artist of flavors, and a weaver of unforgettable experiences. It's a shining testament to the adage that dining is not just about eating but an understanding of the soul. For anyone looking to elevate their culinary journey to an art form, Rigiblick is a destination to be noticed. Five stars do not suffice for the spectacle that is Restaurant Rigiblick; it's a celestial experience all on its own.

Yelp
We were looking forward to discover this bistrot restaurant. We sat outside and the place is very pleasant. The big minus point is the service. Very very slow... we ordered 4 drinks/cocktails. 3 were served after 10 min and the fourth one after 15 additional minutes, which meant our cocktails had not more ice when we could finally start to drink all together. I think we don't have to blame the staff but more the under-staffing. Anyway all drinks should be brought together at one table, no matter what! The drinks are totally over priced. The home made limonade was a syrup. Don't try it! We should have stayed there for dinner but decided not to stay because of the poor understaffed service. Won't go back

Yelp
I already wrote a 'tip' so see that below with photos. Love this place. Starts with the journey up the hill in a cable car..

Yelp
Quite disappointing especially regarding the prices. We had 2 desserts and a hot Chocolate. The hot chocolate was rather thin but drinkable, the desserts partly mediocre partly we didn't like it at all and didn't finish them. Summary: fancy location, fancy interior (we adored a small sugar box) but not worth going there at all.

Yelp
Our chef's table special was a fantastic surprise birthday gift from my sister and finally, months later I drove up the hill and had a look around. I met Dennis Puchert (the young, talented exec chef) and immediately reserved a place at the kitchen table. Yes, there is a nice wooden table for 8 tucked into a corner of the kitchen. Rather than go into too much detail on each course (text just doesn't do it justice) I'll make a few comments and let the photos of the evening do the talking. Folks, if you enjoy modern cuisine, this place should easily make it to the top 10 on your list. The staff are warm, friendly and knowledgable as well as being perfectionists. We know this because we had the privilege of standing next to them while they prepared the evening's courses. Yes, we learned a lot that evening but we also enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Unlike kitchen's under Gordon Ramsey's demanding demeanor, this kitchen was calm and quiet as they delivered for 40+ guests.
