Google
Not authentic taco. Tasted like store bought tortilla with reheated frozen fish. Since parking is tight in this area, drive thru helps. Walk up order option with outdoor seating, or drive thru. Pictured fish taco.

Google
Excellent ! Great takeout…relleno combo (couldn’t eat it all) and ala carte shrimp taco and carnitas taco (very big) and also great! The 2 of us will have enough for 2 night.

Google
Smelled like sewer. Food was some of the worst Mexican I’ve had. It came out cold. Can’t believe this place is above 4 starts. Guac tasted frozen. Meat was grey and hard to chew. Most flavorless California burrito I’ve ever had. Way below average. Had no water cups so had to buy a water bottle. F

Google
Great food! I had a California Burrito and I loved it!

Jacob k

Google
I got a steak burrito, service was fast, cashier was polite, the food was very good. I was surprised to see no rice in the burrito, nonetheless it was still very good. This place is opened 24 hours a day.

Lauren Teach

Google
This was the best vegetarian taco I have ever had. I got the crispy potato taco with salsa and I keep coming back for it. My friends all got the 5 mini tacos with beef and they keep coming back too because Rigoberto’s is so good.

The Lady

Google
Pretty good Carne Asada breakfast burrito. The meat was Chewy like it had been recooked possibly but the burrito overall was pretty good and the salsa was delicous.

Google
I really really enjoy their food. The flavors are so different from your average everyday Mexican food places. Definitely my go to food place when in this area

Yelp
Good stuff. We door dashed twice. We always get the beef hard tacos and such. We really like our San Diego taco shops. This one did not disappoint

Yelp
Love this spot for any time eats. Quality of grub is good and well priced. Staff is cool, friendly and helpful. There are a few bars nearby so its a good spot to start out at. They have seating outside and you can bump into some fun drunkers or even help save someone like I did.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here after a bar hopping. The rolled tacos were dry recommend getting sour cream. My friend got a carne asada burritos and we shared the carne asada fries. The fries were yummy! Don't remember the service. There is an outdoor seating area. Across the street from Moonshine Beach !

Kat K.

Yelp
All 3 of my orders had special instructions and none of them were followed! I wouldn't be so upset, but I'm a vegetarian and now I can't eat any of my food. Just money wasted :(

Yelp
Worst Mexican taco shop in pacific beach. Probably one of the worst in San Diego. Better off going to anywhere else! Food quality is absolute trash. I've lived up the street for 5 years and love good taco shops I promise just go to the next

Brianna F.

Yelp
Opened up my soda to find a small bug in the top where the lid would be. Threw me off completely from my entire meal. So gross; would not recommend. They also charged me $3.99 for the smallest side of sour cream which was most definitely not worth the price for the size they give you.

Yelp
This is a great place to pick up some quick tasty food. The California Burrito is good! I recommend it. The food isn't the best Mexican food I've ever had, but it's great but something to grab quickly. It's open 24/7 as well. There are a couple tables to sit at outside and no indoor seating. It's right next to the Better Buzz coffee shop, so if you're doing work there, Rigoberto's is a great place to grab a quick bite.

Yelp
Terrible fake wannabe Mexican fast food. Total tourist trap! Claims on side of building to be "Best Mexican Food in San Diego" total BS. Food was overpriced, tasteless, small portions and cheap quality ingredients. Spend your money elsewhere

Yelp
Negative 10 stars!! Got severe diarrhea from eating here new years eve 2023! Two hours on the toilet! Huge bummer! And! The carne fries i ordered were also pinchy as heck! Very skimped out like light wait hors d'oeuvres shit. Which! Was undoubtedly a blessing in this case but anyways yah! Avoid this place! Ohhhh yah and also they have a stupid screen that asks for percent based tips! Hahaha fuck all the way the fuck off you think i tip taco shops! No! Do i tip mcdonalds? Noooooooo! Just shady nasty unsafe and bad bad bad meat was like dog food too almost ground beef but like rank ground beef. Thanks for ruining my new years!

Hayden O.

Yelp
Terrible rolled beef tacos. taste like frozen beef tacos that are old. would not recommend
google avatar

Kelly T.

Yelp
Giving this place a solid 4 stars because I just got some good ol' fashion rolled tacos, some asada fries, and the salsas were bomb. No picture it's all already in my belly
google avatar

Rina H.

Yelp
Finally tried this place and can confidently say I wasn't missing out on anything. I got the pollo asado taco which came with pico and cheese. I've never had a soft taco from a drive thru taco shop come with cheese, it's always pico and guacamole which I prefer. Regardless the chicken was dry and felt like it was reheated. My boyfriend got the fish burrito which he liked but honestly it tasted like a fish stick with some tartar sauce to me. I won't be coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Home of the infamous hot Cheetos burrito. Literally the first place I saw a Hot Cheeto burrito before it got trendy. Hot Cheetos burrito, surf & turf, and the Pollo asada quesadilla are my favorites!
google avatar

S Q.

Yelp
Prices on menu are $2 less then actual prices. They charge $1 or more to use a credit card. Good tasting food.
google avatar

Jaren S.

Yelp
I used to love this place but I just paid $14 for a tortilla burrito! Wtf ‍ Should I go back?!
google avatar

Taneisha R.

Yelp
Great service. Great food. I ordered the California burrito and added sour cream to it. Side of guac, and it was perfection in a tortilla. This was a great start to my first good experience in Cali.

Yelp
Solid 3-2 Star, Depending on Time of Day/Night Location: Right off the strip making it an easy drive thru heading home from the beach or biking up from the boardwalk. Limited parking if you want to eat at the outdoor tables. Ambiance: Outdoor and drive thru only. Living less than a mile away we only went here twice for a post beach and late night must-feed stop, which is how I think most the locals view it, "a when nothing else available or need a quick feed and don't care." That's kinda where it fits on my PB food spectrum. Service: It's a order from the window restaurant so... Food: Typical Mexican fast food selection and nothing unique or worth expounding on. I will say, we first went here in the spring of 2019 after a day on the beach. It was a 3 Star then. My 2nd stop was a recent late night drive thru, starving heading to airport, and that was definitely a 2. Cleanliness: Well...regarding a previous stop outdoor tables were dirty, which if fine if you're coming from a day of sun and surf but otherwise be prepared to wipe it down before sitting and eating. When going thru the drive thru it always looks like it needs a some loose trash picked up but nowadays so does a lot more of PB then it used too. Overall: With so many good options in PB this should probably be a last choice. It is Ok-to-fair food that in my opinion is a little pricey for what you get, even when you take into account the beach markup to compensate for business taxes and high property rental fees. Still, I don't really see myself going back so I can't recommend it but if I do make it back I'll be sure to update my Yelp then.

Yelp
Carne Asada burrito was ordered but they forgot the guacamole ... that's a bummer. If the consistency was here this place would be viable. That said, there are better options. (See my other reviews)

Daniel S.

Yelp
I ordered campanchana fries (ado Ada and carne asada and I only got one protein (adobada) paid extra for it but there was no care to it. So I will not be going back.
google avatar

Bella S.

Yelp
The portions are so tiny I've never been to a place that's been this skimpy before. Even the hot sauce was tiny like one sauce per bite and you only get 2. Unless you're in elementary school, these portions are ass. Woman was kinda nice tho ‍
google avatar

Damon T.

Yelp
spent half my paycheck on a horchata and she didn't even care about give me a full cup of it. The service was lackluster she just looked me off when my food was ready. Weird place to even be around a dude came up to us asking where to get weed and his stories?!?!? Place might be selling drugs
google avatar

Moises G.

Yelp
Was looking for a quick bite, this is not it. Food was terrible. The beans really salty and the rice really dry. The fish taco was mushy and didn't even bother finishing it. Much better options around the area avoid this one
google avatar

Ron Q.

Yelp
An always busy 24/7 taco stand in PB. Most busy weekends, but also late night weekdays when the munchies hit after the bars. Two convenient drive thru lanes keep the cars moving. The menu has pretty much anything and everything you would expect a taco shop in San Diego to have. Breakfast options served 24/7 is awesome! Love me a machaca burrito anytime of day! The most recent visit last Friday had me trying their shrimp burrito. Good sized shrimp sautéd with onions and peppers served with rice. Perfect! Seasoning was good, but definitely needed some green and red hot sauce for my taste buds. Keep on Yelp'n!

Nate R.

Yelp
Received poor quality food both times coming here. The cali burrito had like 10 fries max, lacking in meat and is overall unappetizing using the guac as a crutch for a bad meal. No cheese on carne asada fries as well as floppy fries. This is a sad meal experience and it's expensive as well.

Yelp
Was in San Diego for the weekend and decided to swing by my old stomping grounds in Pacific Beach. I was hoping Rigobertos was still a thing here. Low and behold there she was! I only like two things from this place: 3 Rolled tacos with the "mystery green guac" and the always reliable carne asada burrito. This was all I needed back in the 90s and it still rocks today. It's good to know that somethings don't change...except the price. But hey, what are you gonna do? We drove thru for a quick bite and scored our 3 rolled tacos (see the pic). It's still amazing. Made fast and is instant gratification. I recommend an Agua Fresca like an Horchata to drink with your order. Always recommended. Im knocking off 1 star because there's nowhere to park on the property. Its just a drive-thru. Do stop by!!!
google avatar

Khertel S.

Yelp
Food was absolutely disgusting. The most nastiest taco shop I have ever tasted in my life. The French fries were over cooked and crispy, the toppings were thrown on sloppy and they did not follow instructions for my request for extra hot sauce even though I called to ensure they got it right. Food looked nothing like the picture advertised and was made poor. I would give lower than one star if that was an option.
google avatar

Nathan P.

Yelp
The definition of 3 stars according to Yelp is "A-Ok".. That pretty much sums up this taco shop near the beach in PB. It is directly next to a Better Buzz Coffee and has a drive thru. The prices are actually a tad bit higher than the competition (Vallartas and Cotixian) I paid $19.67 for 2 breakfast burritos. The establishment itself is a little bit worn down looking. They probably could invest in a face lift to attract more customers, but that is their problem. The food tasted good, Small portion size but not tiny. I fell like they may have used 1 or maybe 2 eggs max in the burrito, so it felt lacking/empty/small.... Also when you order 2 burritos - the minimum # of red hot sauce cups that should be given is 4... not 3 .. come on y'all
google avatar

Stanley S.

Yelp
This place simply is what it is--a late-night joint you hit up when nothing else is open. There's an assortment of cheap meats, cheeses, tortilla packaged as burritos, tacos or anything else you can think of. I wasn't a huge fan but I suppose it got the job done last night at 1am. The tortilla on my rigoberto burrito had a lot of flour on it and was wrapped loosely which made it hard to eat. The fries in it weren't crispy so it was just extra mush when biting into the burrito. Whatever. I was decently surprised their fish taco was not bad...though when I asked the cashier what kind of fish it was she didn't know.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
They've gone downhill. Won't be going back. Ordered 2 beef tacos combination plate and guess they didn't think beef was necessary. Didn't get great lettuce tacos though
google avatar

Nicki C.

Yelp
Came only for the Horchata so I can't speak for anything else. $3 for a medium isn't bad at all. The taste of it is alright. Thirst quenching but I've definitely had better tasting horchata. Probably wouldn't come back unless it was late night.
google avatar

Jane S.

Yelp
Not the best spot in PB if you want to waste your money come here this food was skimpy I'd give no stars if I can the burrito is a joke barely any steak or fries do not come here there's better Mexican places the burrito is super skinny I'd have better this location sucks decent customer service if only they made their food better for the price not worth i would not recommend this spot
google avatar

Clarissa S.

Yelp
Very dissapointed to find eggshells throughout my breakfast burrito and when I called the store to complain to the manager, she didn't even bother to apologize. Be careful ordering food from here!

Kim p.

Yelp
Honestly when I want a veggie burrito I only go here I really like them! I see some bad reviews here so I have to say I really like this place. The rice and pico in the veggie burrito is just right and the salsas on the side are bomb. I'm not a fan of fajitas in veggie burritos which is why I like their recipe. Plus being right next to better buzz I get a coffee on my way out of the drive through. Recommend!!!
google avatar

Denny D.

Yelp
Bandito burrito with beans! Favorite burrito in PB. Fast service, still probably the cheapest in PB without making their portions really small like all the other places around.

Serra P.

Yelp
Learn to read your orders. We ordered a bean and rice burrito (it has no cheese) and still explicitly stated please no cheese, and you smothered my burrito in melted cheese. Also, your California burrito is trash and you didn't add guac. Waste of money and time
google avatar

Regina K.

Yelp
Pollo asado fries are AMAZING The amount they give you is very generous. I shared this with another friend and we still could not finish everything. Not only did they provide the quantity, the quality was on point too. I was very impressed with how these fries turned out. Normally I would get carne asada fries, but my friend recommended the pollo asado and I'm so glad I tried something new. Everything paired so well with each other - the chicken, guac, cheese, and of course, the fries. I'm craving to eat this again as I'm writing this review!! I don't doubt that other items on their menu will taste just as good :) Note, seating is outdoors only as it is not a typical sit-down restaurant.
google avatar

Nancy M.

Yelp
I LOVE tacos and this was just okay. I was here on a business trip and late night got hungry and decided to get some food. I should have listened to some reviews because food should be good regardless if you're drunk or not. Also someone said the carne asada was juicy, they lied. I got one fish taco and one carne asada. The fish taco was a lot better, and I'm surprised to say that. The carne asada was too dry. I had to add the sauce to help chew it easier. That's crazy to me because I don't usually add sauces.
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Best veggie burrito hands down, it's also way cheaper than the competitions. Staff is cool too.
google avatar

Stephanie Z.

Yelp
i got (takeout): carne asada taco: actually flavorless, no seasoning the service was fine, they were nice but the speaker/microphone was really bad so they couldn't hear us and that was frustrating parking: 4-5 spots in the back

Josh T.

Yelp
$5.99 bean and cheese on the billboard rang up for $6.50 and a 50 cent cc fee?! Feeling scammed and you gotta hold businesses accountable.
google avatar

André C.

Yelp
Gave a shot today for this place. Just got a surf and turf burrito, extra guac. That was just amazing! Incredibly tasty and well filled with steak and shrimp. Definitely will go back there for another one.
google avatar

Julian C.

Yelp
Great food the best food in pacific beach thank you cooks for having love on what you guys do god bless y'all
google avatar

Dana R.

Yelp
I just wanted to let you know that Rob and the team at the Garnet Ave. restaurant went "above and beyond" with taking care of our large order on 8/8/2021. We arrived in town for a week's vacation and remembered that we enjoyed your cuisine a few years ago. With 6 adults and 4 kids the order was varied. Rob made sure we had everything we ordered and worked with us to get it on time. Thank You!!!

Bee J.

Yelp
the food was terrible they overcharged for a simple burrito I understand inflation but damn!!!!!!!!! I paid for a carne asada with a few pieces of meat it was more tortilla than anything.. I also understand restaurants are doing there best but I feel that was not the best at all.... I will never return to this place again and I do nor recommend it to anyone.. go some place else because eating here isn't worth it !!!!! Disgusting
google avatar

Kimberly W.

Yelp
These guys make the BEST breakfast burritos in PB! I always get a custom burrito with egg, potato, sour cream, and Pico de Gallo salsa. The potatos are fresh scalloped cut (not French fries or crispy fried chunks like most other Mexican places in SD). And the Pico is also really obviously fresh. So yummy and feels pretty healthy too. There's also something really special about their green sauce; it's light and tasty, I suspect made in house too (very different from the processed green sauce from most other places that sometimes is old and fermented). I also love that they're open 24/7 cause I wake up at 6am with my kids and it's hard to find a good breakfast at that time even on the weekends. My daughter can't have dairy so I'm always making custom orders and they never mess up; I don't even have to repeat myself. So clutch!
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
Its eatable, but also the most bland burrito I've ever tasted. Surf & Turf burrito = carne + shrimp and rice.... almost zero flavor. They simply don't care about the food.
google avatar

Biftu A.

Yelp
It was our first time eating here. We ordered 2 orders of carne asada fries, beef tacos and rolled tacos. The fries tasted like they were old fries that were reheated. The meat was so dry and burnt. Had no flavor. The guacamole had a weird smell and taste to it. Terrible. So sad. The rolled tacos were so oily and overcooked. Couldn't chew into it. Hated it. The beef taco was sitting in oil. Everything about it all seemed like old leftover food that was reheated or something.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
I lived in PB for 3 years give or take from 2015-2018. Surprised this place only has 3 stars. Great spot for the California burrito or ANY Breakfast burrito, especially as drunk food at 2am. The red sauce is solid too. These are literally the only two items I got here, maybe a steak burrito but I loved the food at all the Rigoberto's locations throughout SD.
google avatar

Anthony H.

Yelp
This place sucks dick! Like the food is trash legitimately don't buy anything. Worst quesadilla I've ever had.
google avatar

Scott Z.

Yelp
A ridiculously amazing breakfast burrito. It was one of the highlights of my recent Yelp-centric weekend all around San Diego (and specifically on this stop, Pacific Beach). What a funky little hole-in-the-wall, freestanding taco hut. Walk-up window, not a lot of interaction with anyone aside from a quick ordering or pick-up...just a set of stone picnic-style tables...all-in-all, someone may walk or drive right by without giving this place a second look. But the food is STELLAR! $6 bucks gets you a pretty huge, chorizo, egg, and cheese burrito and man was this flavorful, filling, and just about the best hangover cure ever...!! LOVED IT! WANTS ME SOME MORE!
