Riipisen Wild Game Restaurant

The atmosphere is really special at this restaurant, with candles on every table and interesting decor on the walls. The food is great too. A good place to try reindeer meat, but they also have vegetarian options, like the creamy mushroom pasta. I especially loved the crème brûlée with the fresh berries. Just amazing.

We came yesterday for an early dinner during skiing, we had moose carpaccio, reindeer fillet and moose steak - everything was absolutely delicious!! We also loved the ambiance and our waitress was such a sweetheart, KIITOS for taking care of us.

One of the best restaurants in Ruka! Decent meals, cozy place, welcoming service. And not too expensive.

Absolutely delicious local game and a fabulous way to get acquainted with the local Finnish cuisine. The reindeer fillet was especially delicious, highly recommend. Lovely atmosphere and such kind service. We were able to have a big family dinner with our under 1 included as the staff was so helpful and accommodating.

Amazing location around Ruka where you can eat nice meat and fish dishes in local recipes. We enjoyed eating here with 4 people, all dishes were amazing and the price was ok. The staff was friendly but service was good, not amazing.

Have visited place a couple of days ago! We have tried moose and reindeer dishes, and they were both delicious. Ready to give 10 stars if it would be possible For sure, it is recommended for visit

We were really looking forward to eating at this restaurant but left quite disappointed. The food was too salty and greasy, the creme brûlée too cold with granular sugar on top. Due to miscommunication during ordering we were also asked to pay for separate items instead of the set menu. Maybe we were unlucky but the experience just wasn’t worth it.
