Yearly field trip! Love this place although I’ve heard the rumors. But overall I love the market marinades and sauces! Apple dumplings are AMAZING!

Google
I rate this establishment five stars for its culinary offerings. The unbaked chicken pot pie, prepared for oven baking, was delicious, as was the apple pie and corn soup. I highly recommend it. Our school's field trip was also a resounding success for the children.

This was such a fun amazing experience. It gives the kids an idea of how life was like before all the luxuries we have today. It’s a lot of fun the different ways they teach kids about colonists and the revolutionary war. The food was delicious!! Meat pie for lunch, and grilled cheese for my daughter. We both scarfed them down didn’t even have time for a pic lol took a crumble apple pie home and baked a few days later and it blew my mind. Best pie I have ever had! Also had never had hot apple cider before this place and I’m obsessed it was so delicious!! Last thing to note is the beauty, respect, and appreciation they display to soldiers from past to present and their sacrifices ❤️

Beautiful blend of history and nature at Riley’s Farm, offering a unique experience for everyone. Located in the apple-growing foothills, this farm provides an authentic taste of the past with its living history programs, pick-your-own fruit activities, and seasonal events. The staff is incredibly engaging, making the educational aspects fun for both kids and adults. The farm's rustic charm, combined with delicious homemade offerings like cider and apple pies, makes it a must-visit spot. Whether you're there for the history, the apples, or just to enjoy the scenic beauty, Riley Farm always delivers on the family memories.

This is one of my all time favorite spots in Oak Glen. The vibes and atmosphere are 10/10. Food is 100/10. They offer a variety of produce picking from apples, berries, & pumpkins depending on the season. The scenic views make the experience so much better as well. I come here every year during the fall & absolutely love it. They have the BEST iced apple cider & bread bowl soups here. It’s pretty family friendly too- as they offer a farm with animals & various events to participate in. If you’re visiting socal or planning a trip to Oak Glen— definitely add this spot to your list!

My family has been coming to Riley’s for years, on our own to explore the grounds and enjoy apple picking in fall, followed by a delicious meal at their restaurant, the Hawk’s Head Public House. Their food and baked goods are excellent. We have also come on many field trips with school groups. We’ve seen Revolutionary War reenactments and learned about life in the Colonial period. It is a very family friendly, educational venue. They do incredible events at Christmas too. Riley’s Farm is truly a one of a kind place to visit for anyone who loves history!

Google
One of my favorite places to visit in Oak Glen. The colonial feel and decor make you think you've been transported back in time. If you come on a day that isn't so busy, you can find a nice spot in the shade to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature around you. On busy days there's quite a crowd, but there's a lot to see and the grounds are large enough to accommodate.

This place doesn't even feel like California... as a first timer I didn't know what to expect when seeing so many videos of long lines to get off the freeway and crowded farms, but in the past month l've come back twice to enjoy all I can here. I highly reccomend apple picking at this farm, it's giant and there's lots of space to grab some of the most delicious apples you've ever eaten. I was lucky enough to run into Dennis, the founder of the farm and if you ever get to meet him you'll understand what I mean when I say his company was more than worth it. Learning about the history of this farm as well as why they put such a colonial touch made it all the more exciting. Fall time is the best to go as it gets colder... meaning sweater weather!! The trees are gorgeous with their yellow, orange and red colors. Need I say more about this place? Give it a try

Yelp
This dinner is the closing of our America history tour. We went from where the Pilgrims landed and ended at DC. What a perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving colonial way. Everything at the dinner was perfect. Entertainment and food were amazing! My usuband won a whole pie from the tomahawk throw contest! If you come for the dinner, I would suggest come during the day to enjoy other activities; candle dipping, archery, and apple picking. We did that way and while waiting for the dinner from 5 to 6:30 we visited other farms around there and rested at the local Starbucks. I also suggest for you to come a little before 6:30. The dinner starts at 7pm but they'll sit you about 6:30 that way you can enjoy some music. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The view is to die for. I didn't even know you can see the leaf turning color here. I highly recommend Riley's farm. They really go above and beyond!

Yelp
Just what we needed A short trip to RILEY'S FARM & Apple Orchard in the mountains to spend a beautiful day Eating fresh made chicken pot pie, apple crumb pie and not to forget the fresh apple cider followed by a walk on the large grounds visiting the U-PICK apple orchard, animals and the LIVE Civil War reenactment was so cool...until next time

Yelp
This property is huge! We came in fall for apple picking and there were two orchards available with TONS of apples. They also had apple pickers (the pole with the little basket on the end - no clue its proper name) available which was great for our young kids. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and there was a war reenactment going on while we were there which was so cool to see! We didn't have a chance to try their barbecue but we'll definitely be back to give that a shot. They also have a banquet hall they host different events in and a store with all kinds of candy and home made goodies. The staff was extremely friendly, everyone we ran into checked on us to make sure we were having a great time. What amazing memories I'll cherish

Yelp
Riley's Farm is a gem of a place. We drove 2 hours just to visit. The employees are all super friendly, helpful, and just overall wonderful people. You can pick your own apples, pears, berries, and flowers and it is not expensive at all. The gift shops have some cool items, like bonnets and homemade jams and sauces. We did archery, which was very fun. The archery staff were kind and patient with us while we learned. The farm itself is beautiful and nestled in the mountains. I imagine it is very gorgeous in the fall and winter. They have a BBQ place as well as a tavern, where live music is played. I ordered a bread bowl soup and it was delicious! The tavern itself was air conditioned, which felt amazing after a long morning in the hot sun. If you're ever nearby, I highly recommend stopping here. Even if you don't want to buy anything or do any activities, it's fun to just walk around and look at the nice views or the farm animals.

Yelp
We were in the mood for a little drive up to apple country! Took a trip to Riley's farm for some fresh air & apple themed treats. Once arrived we quickly found a parking spot and headed for that yummy food. We decided to stop for lunch before exploring the area. We walked up to the cutest white house and on the side we got in line and placed our lunch orders. I purchased two chicken pot pies and an apple dumpling. The very friendly cashier took my order and quickly handed me my order. I didn't even have to wait. I opted for just water so she kindly gave me a fresh cup of ice water and we headed to one of the outside tables adjacent to the window where you order. We sat down and started with the pot pie, oh my goodness it was really good, I wasn't expecting much because usually tourist spots food options tend to be tasteless. This was a nice surprise, the pie was hot and the chicken and fillings tasty. I love the crust the most and to me it was delicious. We then promptly started on the apple dumpling, it was equally delicious. I asked for the caramel sauce on the side, the kind cashier put it in a cup but it did harden as caramel does as it cools, nonetheless it was super yummy!! Next time I would just get the sauce on the dumpling. Everything as so fresh, the outside patio area is so nice, clean and beautiful. Felt like I was back in Walnut Grove. In the property there is a little brook that runs through, grass for the kids to run around, spots to sit and enjoy the view. A little flower patch gorgeous trees in their beautiful fall colors. There was a nice clean restroom, as you walk up the hill you can go apple picking or drive up to the other areas that offer more to look at. A little store with old fashioned bonnets, candy, jams, cold water, apples and little wooden toys for the kids all reminiscent of days gone by. Schools come here for field trips to see how they lived back in the ole days. They do perform civil war reenactments. There's a small pen with goats and I believe a BBQ restaurant. Riley's farm is a beautiful place to come to get away from the city! You feel like you stepped back in time. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Yelp
This place has the absolute worst food I have ever had in my 40 years of life which says a lot. My son's school uses Riley Farms for historical field trips, which are fine in terms of the staff's acting and portrayals of the history. However, do not buy food here--it's gross! They were also selling expired chips, which was clearly marked on the bags. If you decide to go, bring your own food!

Yelp
Had a great time picking apples and pears at Riley's Farm with a group from meetup. 11 of us met there for a morning picking session and lunch at the barbecue place on-site. Long line to order food, but it moved smoothly. I ordered pulled pork sandwich, my date had the dino rib. It was a huge beef rib, probably 12 inches long, 3 inches wide, and an inch and a half thick. She ate about half of her rib, I had some, and she gave the rest to another member to take home for her dogs. They are well fed dogs. Family style seating at long picnic style tables with chairs on each side. Great for our large group. Everyone fit at one table and all were close enough to chat with each other. Prices were reasonable for lunch. Apple picking was $3.50 per pound and pears were $3.00 per pound. It was a fun morning in the mountains.

Yelp
Had a great time Apple picking! Both the King David and Glen seedless varieties taste great. Got some pears too- haven't tried them yet. The process is efficient and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was laid back and since we got there early it was not too crowded. Loved the feel of getting out there on a crisp fall morning and enjoying nature.

Yelp
Riley family and staff are one of a kind and give a wholesome experience that you can't find anywhere else. Attended the Sleepy Hollow and Christmas in the Colonies this year and felt like we went back in time hundreds of years. Each time we left with full hearts. Thank you Jim for your dedication to the community and sharing your beautiful farm.

Yelp
This is the 4th time I have gone and there is always something new to discover! Let's start with parking: Easy parking and friendly staff! Only about 10 other people were there at 1pm on a Saturday. Usually there are more people? Weather was perfect yesterday at 65 degrees, sunny, and no wind chill. 1st time I went was for Braised Beef Pot Pie and live colonial music performers inside the restaurant. 2nd Time we found they have livestock and we ate there again. 3rd time we went to the love Sleepy Hollow show with delicious food and great performers! 4th time was yesterday and we found they have in the back of the restaurant over a random bridge they have archery and candle making! I wish it was more apparent what is available, where it is, and how much. I guess you need to maybe stop by the merchant store and ask questions before anything else.

Yelp
Love the idea of this place. Candle making was nice. There was a band playing in the dining hall so we thought it would be a good place to eat. However the $30 a plate BBQ lunch was not good. The meat was so chewy and fatty that we could only eat about half of it. The real problem came when we walked through the apple orchard on the way back to the parking lot and were oddly stalked by young staff. My 6 year old granddaughter picked and started eating an apple as we were walking. We were at the far end of the field and he started yelling that we had to pay for the apple. Fair enough...we walked the entire length of the orchard and paid for the apple. The staff that took our money put it in a bag. Again when we got all the way back to the exit end of the field with our apple on the bag, we were told to stop and asked if we had paid for the apple. I said yes. The young woman said my bag didn't have a sticker on it. I said they didn't give me a sticker. I suggest she use the walkie talkie in her hand to radio up to the register and confirm. She said she couldn't and that I needed to walk back up to the register and get a sticker. This is over a $1 apple. I refused. And I will never return to this place again. I spent over $100 on food and attractions at this place and I'm being harassed over one apple?!? This seems like a bad way to run a business.

Yelp
Riley's farm is a nice place to stop at if you're in the area and looking for a family fun experience! I happened to be there since for my yearly visit to Snowlike Orchards and Los Rios which are both down the road from Riley's. My family and I had tried to visit last year but unfortunately the farm was closed due to it being Sunday. So just be forewarned they are not open on that day! The last time I had visited Riley's Farm was when I was a kid so my memory of the place was very vague. The property is very large so be prepared for some walking if you arrive on a busy day and have to park in the back lots like we did. Also make sure you wear comfortable shoes since you will be walking up and down slopes and dirt hills! Needless to say we all got a good workout walking the day we visited. There's plenty of areas to explore. They have fields of apples, raspberries, pumpkins and other various fruits to see! Definitely a nice place to take cute pictures at. They even have a beautiful stream that runs through the property. There were two areas of the farm that we saw during our visit. The first was in the front by the road. They have a big historic house that is now transformed into a dining area. You can order food outside and find seating indoors. We took a quick peak at the menu, a few of their offerings included apple pies, bbq sandwiches and chicken pot pies if I remember correctly. There's also a small barn shop with some souvenirs to take home as well as their famous apple cider! The second area we explored was more uphill and secluded. They have a blacksmith, a large indoor souvenir shop and another dining area that served BBQ sandwiches as well as sides. They have plenty of indoor seating and also offer their famous apple cider (both warm and cold options). There's a nice large grass area to hang out at and relax with family before you truck back down the hill to your vehicle. Overall it was a nice experience for us, minus the walking! The property is just very large and it was a bit warm when we were there so those two didn't mix very well. Keep in mind if you have little ones with you they might not like walking up and down the hills or may get tired quickly. But Riley's Farm is definitely a cool place to experience and get some nice pictures!

Yelp
I have been waiting this night show for long time and first time to visit to this farm too. It was very entertaining and loved all the cast engaged with us time to time. If you love history or education for your kids, this Harvest festa was the best show. We will be back for other fun night for sure

Yelp
Everyone here was very friendly and nice. Big plus that this place was dog friendly - our little german shepherd had a great time as welll! BIIIIIG Props to the smokers/grillers. I tried all the proteins and they were cooked well. The tri-tip was a tad bit on the salty side, and the chicken was a little under seasoned. But the Dino Ribs were FANTASTIC. The best thing I've eaten this year and best ribs I've ever had. Texture was amazing, flavor was spot on and permeated the whole rib. If I'm ever in the area, I'll def stop by here just for that.

We had to stop by for Apple season and had a great time. The kids loved picking their own apples. This year it was $4.50 per lb.

Yelp
Dear Mary R.! Thank you for your responsiveness which is why I update my review to 4 stars although I wasn't lucky enough to see your farm! Maybe next time! The reason we came on Sunday was because Riley's Farm website ( hopefully it has been updated now) said you are open on Labor Day weekend which to us includes Sunday. Also, there seem to be more than one Riley's Farm which is confusing to non-locals. They were all closed yesterday though. Well, now I know! Riley's Farms are closed on Sundays! Hopefully those reading this review will not make the same mistake as us. ----- Old Review: If you are going all the way from SFV to see Riley's Farm, don't bother. They are closed until September 16th. One star is because they failed to update their website that up until yesterday evening said they are open for Labor Day weekend.

Yelp
We drove over 2 hours to visit this charming spot, and it was well worth it! If you're looking for a place to pick your own apples and pumpkins, this is the perfect destination. They also have restaurants, a bakery, and cute little shops to explore. After a day of picking and wandering around, we stopped at the Colonial Chesterfield bakery for a quick snack. Their chicken pot pie and apple turnover à la mode were absolutely amazing! The apple dumpling with caramel, however, wasn't my favorite. I also grabbed a whole apple pie to take home, but we were disappointed--it was dry, and the apples were still a bit crunchy. Overall, though, the experience was fantastic. The servers were nice and friendly. The place itself is beautiful, and I'd definitely go back for more apple picking!
google avatar

Yelp
Had a great time at Riley's farm picking berries! They have fantastic customer service who responded to my Instagram message within a few hours about what fruit would be available to pick the upcoming weekend. We were able to pick raspberries, blackberries, mulberries, and a few strawberries. For U-Pick berries the size/price options were: $5 half pint, $7 pint, or $12 quart. You pay for your container before you start picking. There was an event going on when we visited, people dressed in historical clothes and a slip-n-slide. Not sure what this was, but looked fun! Plenty of parking too! I'm looking forward to coming back in the fall to pick apples and pumpkins!

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this place! It is absolutely gorgeous there. We always order our apple pies and chicken pot pies to take home and they are the best anywhere homemade chicken pot pies and apple pies are my favorite. They're delicious. The food is very good. it's my favorite place to go. One of my son's favorite field trips we ever went on was to Riley's farm.

Yelp
We went at the very end of apple season literally the last day but we were still able to pick two bags full of apples. The hay ride was $3 per person for an all day off and on ride. Fresh apple juice was about $28. There's a section of farm animals to visits with. Overall it's a great place to take kids but keep in mind November was pretty cold. Dress warm! The nicest and funnest workers were the ones sitting out by the apple trees at the desk charging for the apple picking. If you need to know anything ask them! Those in the stores were not very sociable or helpful and hardly knew what was going on.

Yelp
My family loves to go to Riley's Farms every year for apple picking and enjoy their treats and atmosphere. Definitely a family-friendly activity for the kids.

Yelp
Very Nice Place along with good food and service. One of the Best Chicken Pot Pies we have ever had. Thank you, till next time

Yelp
I visited during the Apple Blossom Festival. It was absolutely breath-taking! Picture perfect!! Many spots for photo ops!!! Take your time and meander around the large property, you'll be pleasantly surprised. The outdoor eating area is quite charming! Greatly appreciate that this farm has a restaurant, and interior and exterior eating area. I also appreciate that there were items on the menu for a vegetarian. Drive up to the top on the opposing end. It's where I found the trees on the hill that were in full bloom!! Exquisite!

Yelp
Had a great time with the family at Riley's Farm today. Drove up for some apple picking, little past prime season but we found a dozen red and green apples that were perfect for picking. Not too crowded today which was nice. Obviously, a little pricier than store bought apples but we got to pick them ourselves so I k ow they're as fresh as possible when we bite into them over the next week. My daughter got some candy from the store and my son got a giant cookie at the bakery. They both devoured their treats! My wife got a fruit turnover that was fresh baked today. We've been to Riley's before and we'll definitely head back next fall to enjoy the fresh air and pick some locally grown fruit.

Yelp
1. I live in a city very close by Riley's, yet it was still a distance to get to the orchard--which if fine. However, I have a toddler that gets car sick and the road there was very wind-y. I just wish I would have known or read that in a review prior. Not that it ultimately effected my review or experience. But I do write this for any other parent to keep in mind, as a heads up. 2. I will say, the staff IS friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, there must have been one or two field trips going on at the same time. So I feel we didn't get the experience the way we wanted, with maybe a helpful guide. 3. Which leads me to my 3rd point-- unless you have a map or have been there before or went with someone who has gone-- you would be completely lost. I was hoping there'd be more staff around to show us exactly where all of the apples were. Especially because I had two little girls with me. 4. I did read a prior review that there were a lot of old, rotten apples on the floor, which was in fact true. We did find some good apples, but we really had to hunt for them. 5. Make sure you wear an outfit and shoes you don't mind getting dirty!

James C.

Yelp
My family loved the apple picking experience here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We go every year!

Yelp
It was a beautiful day for a field trip on September 15. Our grandson invited us to his kindergarten first field trip of the school year. Our group consisted of his mommy (our daughter), daddy, Papa (my hubby) and Yaya (me). It was a one hour @ a few minutes to drive to Oak Glen. There was plenty of parking when we got there and we easily found the school group. We were then directed to go to a field in front of the "outhouse." There they divided the class into smaller groups and our grandson was in "Cottonwood." We then boarded a tractor pulled wagon full of hay bales as seating. It was a tight fit & rather uncomfortable. We were transported on a gravel road to orchards replete with apple trees & pear trees. The apple trees were Granny Smith and the pears were Bartlett pears brought over from England. Our tour guide was very informative and shared the history of the farm. The farm is roughly over 600 acres at an elevation of approximately 4600 feet. We returned to the place in front of the outhouse, where the students got a taste of playing with simple toys of the period, they fed the goats, learned simple chores like washing clothes and sweeping, learned candle making, then were released to lunch. The kids were pretty famished at this point. We got our places at the table in the dining hall. Our lunches were outstanding. We had tri-tip, double cheeseburgers, beans, potato salad, and lemonade. So unexpectedly delighted with our meals in such a rustic surrounding. We then visited the bakery and gift shop. We made multiple purchases and came away enjoying the entire field trip. Riley's Farm offers the kids an insight into the past and it was nice to see them enjoy the simple times. The entire staff was awesome and played their roles realistically and were engaging with their target audience. We look forward to returning. It had been over 30 years since I last visited with my son's 3rd grade class. Will definitely not wait so long to visit again Highly recommend this place with its beautiful surroundings.

Yelp
Our family tradition every fall. Absolutely love taking a daytrip to Oak Glen for apple picking. Every year our group gets bigger and bigger. But we always have a great time. Riley's is a must stop on our yearly trips. They have delicious apples, specially the Granny Smiths. My favorite. Also pumpkins and zinnias are available. Kids love pressing apple cider and drinking the cider. Probably the only place and time they drink cider. It's sooo fresh and delicious and of course a fun activity for the whole family. The farm also serves bbq and burgers, fresh apple pies and cider. A one stop for all. Can't wait to go back next year.

Yelp
There are tons of parking here. Which is nice. There are apple trees that grow on the parking lot. That is still owned by the farm, and so if you pick it, you will have to have it weight and pay for it. There is no one watching you, so it can be easily confused as free. It isn't.... There are a few types of apples. There is someone who has you taste the apples they have, so you are aware of what you want to pick. Then a map is provided so you know where to go. You are also able to make your own apple cider if you'd like, but it looks like too much work...so you're better of buying it. Really...just buy it. I guess if you want the experience..then go for it. They have a bbq spot there that you can eat it, it's a bit price, but smells amazing. My friends and I didn't eat there. We just picked apples, since we come from Snow Line not too far before hand. Dress appropriately. You do some walking. I'll definitely come back, because it was a great experience.

Always love coming here. The ambience is nostalgic and of course you have to get the apple pie especially the caramel apple pie!

Yelp
I wish I could give it more stars. What an amazing place. If I lived closer so I could go more often. I highly recommend visiting and learning for children and adults. Also, check out the evening shows. They are very well done and entertaining.

Yelp
More like a 3.5 but I'm rounding up. Honestly stumbled here by mistake since we were trying to find a bakery here via Google and lo and behold, not ONLY is there a bakery here, but an entire American historical re-enactment farm! There's a gift shop with some neat historical goodies perfect for students/kids, honey, jam, and much more. For food, not only is it bakery food, but other savory sit down food as well. Just order outside and you can take your food inside to dine. We got the: 1) Chicken Pot Pie: -Nice pie crust and yummy, steamy interior. -Good amount of veggies and chicken. 2) Apple Dumplings with Caramel Sauce: -First time having non-savory dumplings! -Imagine a large fist sized biscuit hollowed out and crammed with thinly sliced, cinnamon apple and then topped with a huge helping of caramel. -Bit difficult to eat with the bowl that it was served in and definitely sticky, but it hit the spot. Just know it's a lot of food. Gotta say that I love the inside dining area. SO MUCH attention to detail and things to look at. I felt a bit awkward and didn't want to meander around and snap too many random photos, but literally everywhere you'd look there would be time period piece decor, someone dressed up in the historical garb, and they even had live music too! We walked across a bridge with a lovely little stream and on the other side there was ax throwing, archery, candle dipping, and even a blacksmith. Not sure if these activities were available to the general public or if you have to be part of a tour group. There's also a small petting zoo farm area with some goats and chickens near the parking lot. It looks like they have several historical themed events there too and I'm sure with the level of immersion they'd be great.

Yelp
We did the revolutionary war reenactment field trip with our homeschool charter and literally had a blast. I want to do the colonial one and the gold restaurant. It was a great experience with lots of educational tools and hands-on learning for the kids. It's an awesome establishment run by great people and I'm thankful that they can bring a little piece of history to such a small town

Yelp
This place is beautiful. The staff is friendly. I recommend you come before 4 o'clock because most of the things close such apple picking and pumkin picking. The foods here is great. And the flowers are so pretty

Yelp
Riley's is sooooo special!! We have been there for the Revolutionary War and for Sleepy Hollow. Both were fantastic!! The people are wonderful. Their reenactments are historically accurate and really fun for kids! We will keep returning!

Yelp
So, I was unable to check in while I was there because I there's a lot of controversy surrounding the owners. Yeah the guy's super vocal to say the least and the blog posts don't really have anything to really do with the business itself. However, I will say that the I had a fun time here and the food wasn't bad either. If you do go on the weekend, it's going to be packed and the campus seems to have a bunch of different things to do, but really it's just one area. The general farm area (apples, flowers and pumpkins) and the store/restaurant area. If you go in late fall like I did your pickings are going to be pretty slim because apple season has mostly passed and even being directed to the orchards that are still available, EVERYONE else is going to be there and the low hanging fruit is literally gone. They do have a couple of pickers, literally a couple and you have to wait for groups ahead of you to use them, otherwise it's a lot of hopping. We managed to get a couple before heading to the other orchard that was available to get the same results. So, after all that we headed back to the shop-it's like an apple themed roadside gift shop. You'll have some old-timey sodas and Cracker Barrel type gifts but also apple stuff. I ended up getting a soda but it was pretty pricey; I should have just waited for the food. I went when their grill was open and it smelled great while I was waiting-the line seems long but it was worse after I queued up. The brisket was cut thick and pretty tasty but the sides were ok. The pie though was good. They also allow dogs as long as they're leashed so it was good to be able to bring my pup along. Maybe I'll try earlier in the season next year so I can get some other types of apples but hopefully it will be easier to pick.

Yelp
We recently revisited Riley's Farm and were pleased to find that the pricing system has changed. Instead of charging by weight, pumpkins are now priced according to their size, making it easier to choose the perfect one!

Yelp
Riley's Farm is one of the first farms you'll come across coming up the mountain in Oak Glen. Because it was our first time here, my husband and I had mixed up Riley's Farm with Riley's at Los Rios Rancho. However, it's still worth a shot as Riley's Farm has a lot to see such as apple picking, tractor rides, delicious food, animals and more. When passing between the two farms, I noticed the apple trees seemed more lush and plentiful at Riley's Farm. We started off our day at their restaurant/bakery where we ordered the sausage & apples, chicken pot pie and alcoholic apple cider. Everything was really tasty and fresh, although they did forget our sausage & apples and kept us waiting for an extra 20 minutes. Next, we took a tractor up the hill which was a fun, little adventure in itself as it took us through their different fields and patches. We saw their orchards, pumpkin patch, berry patch and flower fields. While we did get to pick some apples, there was an unexpected hailstorm that came out of nowhere, despite it not appearing on the weather report. That's not the fault of the farm as the weather on mountains can be fickle, but just be forewarned. The reason why I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of 5 is because this farm is quite large and it was confusing on where to find everything. When we entered the farm, there were no programs or information on the offerings and amenities. We were disappointed to later find out they had a BBQ restaurant located up the hill but because we had eaten already, we were too full and ended up not coming here. But how would we have known ahead of time? We finally came across programs at the end of our visit, but they were located so far deep inside the farm outside their gift shop. We would've appreciated it if this place were more organized, especially for first timer visitors like us.

Yelp
I was there today, I went just for Chicken pot pie. I've had it in the past and was the best pie I ever had, However Today was the worst chicken pot pie I have ever had it was bland no taste, a frozen dinner would have tasted 100% better!!!!! BUT!!!!! The braised beef and potato pot pie was the best thing I've ever tasted!!! For the beef pie I give 5 stars. They have a policy no exchange or money back, that's ok but I will NEVER get the chicken pie again, definitely NOT worth the $16. I guess they changed or didn't follow the recipe!!!

Yelp
Got there too soon, need tickets to just go inside. Sounds crazy, we tried a different spot this time. Street parking is dangerous. Dissatisfied with who ordeal.

Yelp
Spent the day here yesterday with my 2 adult daughters. A little late in the apple picking season, but picked some great ones. No sunflowers available. A small portion of beautiful marigolds. Parking: There is a parking lot available as soon as you drive in, but there is another larger one further up on the property, near the Apple picking orchard, a mercantile, and the bbq food. We got there about 1130 and got lucky finding a spot. Food: One of my daughters waited about 45 minutes for the bbq. Pulled pork sandwich was tasty but the meat wasn't hot, nor warm enough. Potato salad and beans were pretty good. $18 for the plate was fair. The chicken pot pie had an amazing crust! We tried the apple turnover (SO GOOD), Apple pie slice with salted caramel sauce (Decent but sauce was excellent), fudge with walnuts, chocolate chip cookies (good stuff), cider is delicious and ended with a cider mimosa!! Purchased Raspberry syrup too! So many activities to do, axe throwing. Archery, candle dipping. Fun place! We were lucky to have neen there on Veterans day and saw the Civil War reenactment. I enjoyed it! We will be back again for berry picking
