New Philly Restaurant Openings: February 2025 | Eater Philly

"From the team behind the Montreal-style bagel shop Spread Bagelry, this offshoot concept focuses on doughnuts. It serves fried doughs in flavors like buttermilk pancake and honey cornbread, alongside coffee, and also offers a doughnut sandwich. Ringo opened in early February." - Emma Orlow

I got the Ringo Avocado, and it was such a creative twist on breakfast! It comes served on a donut, and you can actually choose any type you’d like — I went with the cornbread donut, which was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. The flavors worked really well together — fresh, satisfying, and definitely something different from your usual breakfast sandwich. The service was quick, and my order came out fresh and warm. I also appreciated that the wait wasn’t long (I came before the rush). Overall, it’s a fun spot to try if you’re looking for something unique, flavorful, and made with care. I’ll definitely be back to try another donut combo next time! 5/5

I’d been meaning to try them for a bit, but hadn’t gotten around to it. I decided to order pickup last week and went down there. My order wasn’t ready, but they were very apologetic and accommodating and offered me and my kid stickers while we waited. The vibe was upbeat and relaxing. And when we got our food, the pancake donut was out of this world! They have a lot of options for toppings too. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back.

Great addition to the neighborhood! Tried the pancake donut and the cornbread doughnut with different toppings, and they were both great! Light and fluffy with nice flavor. I recommend the apple pie topping on the pancake donut and the turkey sausage gravy on the cornbread donut. Will be trying the sandwich next time!

I've been here a few times and tried a variety of the food, and have mixed opinions. The coffee is solid, there's really nothing wrong here and I've been happy every time. Typically when I stop by it's just for a coffee. I enjoy the pancake donuts, but every once in a while they have been pretty tough, as if sitting out for much of the day. The problem is the price, they really aren't that much food and you're paying much more than either a pancake or donut should cost. Fun to try but seems like a bit of a gimmick. I'd be much happier with traditional breakfast breads and the toppings already there, like biscuits and gravy instead of donuts and gravy, a good piece of cornbread with the toppings, or even just a small plate of pancakes with them. The bagels they just started serving are "imported from New York", but come out of a plastic sleeve and taste like a high end grocery store bagel or lower end bagel shop. Mine was reheated in a food warmer, to the point that it was crisp and dry. A good bagel shouldn't need that treatment. I'd be happier to just have good bagels made locally than sub-par bagels shipped in. The hash browns or tater tots that I had might have been the worst item, and I'm not even sure if they are on the menu anymore. They were also reheated in the food warmer thing and were extremely overcooked and hard throughout. They seemed like they would have been good if they weren't reheated. Overall, I've liked certain things at Ringo and disliked other things. The problem is consistently the reheated nature of the food and the value of the donuts. I have high hopes that these are growing pains of a new business and that they will iron things out in the future.

First time visiting today. I’m not sure what actual base donut we got, but we ordered two with chocolate icing and sprinkles and my goodness were these horrible. They tasted undercooked, like the batter was still raw, and they were hard as a rock. I dunno if they had been sitting out but wow… for $8.50 for two donuts that was beyond disappointing. My kid even tossed his. They had the doors open and there were flies coming in, flying behind the counter.. no doubt landing on the sweet treats. I was excited to try this neighborhood spot, but yuck. Never again.

New coffee/donut shop in Point Breeze. Excellent coffee, amazing breakfast sandwiches made with donuts, and cool atmosphere with plenty of seating. Service and staff is quick and very friendly. Highly recommend for a quick morning treat or coffee.

Google
Great overall! I frequently go here for a quick coffee break. They recently added bagels to their menu, and the owner's previous experience with Spread Bagelry really shows; the bagels are awesome!

The addition of bagels is great. The lox begal sandwich was very good. Also got a ice pumpkin chai latte which was delicious. Have also had their milkshake lattes previously which were also delicious. Will definitely be heading back to this spot in the mornings for my fix before work!

Yelp
The concept of pancake donuts is every bit as delicious as the reality of pancake donuts! With a variety of sweet (and some savory) toppings, it is a culinary adventure! My fave is the whole wheat donut with the blueberry and citrus compote. Also, recently they opened late for soft serve, and that does not disappoint :) With great coffee, great service, and yummy sweets, this is a wonderful addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Donuts and bagels were okay. But the flavored cream cheese was so strange. A side of Chai cream cheese is basically liquid chai with a blob of cream cheese in it...

Yelp
This location was reopened as Ringo Coffee & Donuts. I ordered the maple bacon donut with cream cheese. I thought the cream cheese was going to be spread on a warm sliced donut but instead a big chunk of cream cheese was placed in the middle of the donut. My friend ordered the egg cheese and turkey bacon between two donuts and he said it was okay. Ringo coffee & donuts is a creative concept and I hope they work out the kinks to stay around awhile in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Love this unique neighborhood spot that brings a new breakfast item to the table! Donut shaped pancake and cornbreads with all the fresh toppings you'd like. Solid coffee program and a smaller, not overwhelming menu. I haven't tried the sandwich but looking forward to at some point. Hoping they concoct some new sandwiches for the menu! Love having a place in walking distance for coffee and a sweet treat. Savory options rock as well(:
