Yelp
A very welcome addition, an uplift to the ID. Where new is new, bright lights, high ceilings, open space, and tasty Japanese Curry!
A pleasure to be the first to review and upload photos!
Soft Opening, and I give it a solid 4 Stars (usually my 4 = 4.5-5 easily for others).
This review is based on everything.
Love the space. In the location formerly known as Ho Ho, Ringo Curry now exists and I expect it to for a long time. Why?
The curry is delicious. The rice is well cooked. Omelet near fluffy but not quite there. The pork and chicken cutlets while not super juicy, but are large, tasty, and satisfying. Spice levels need to be explored further, it basically goes from 1-2, then to 5? A bit confusing there, but 1-2 Star is free, and next level 5 is extra. The 2 Star had a mild spice level, so next time the 5 it is. There are 2 sizes, Regular and Large, the regular was plenty for me + Sausage. Go with the Regular size curry so you can order more sides.
Our wonderful server suggested to add the sausage as a side and was very glad she did. A perfect side, and had a smoky flavor - this is a side that will always be ordered when coming here.
The Nabes look really good too and should be perfect for the winter months ahead.
The pricing is very fair. So the quality+value is solid. Just wish the meals had a slightly higher temperature to them. I do understand that certain foods need to be near room temperature for optimal flavor, but I like to see some steam from my food, which there was none. To be very clear, none of it was cold, but rather warm, and still was delicious!!! Soft Opening don't forget! But off to an excellent start. See you often :)
Pretty sure some Yelp Elite events need to be had here. :)
