"The restaurant represented the tip of a hopeful Indonesian iceberg that would see more satay skewers and rendang make its way to Los Angeles, but alas the growth was not to be. Rinjani closed quietly in October after just ten months." - Farley Elliott

"Modern Indonesian restaurant Rinjani seems to have closed, at least temporarily, about a month ago in Glendale’s Exchange project after a ten month run. Eater reached out to the restaurant’s representatives to confirm a total closure, but Rinjani hasn’t posted anything on social media since late August. The restaurant’s Yelp page shows only indefinitely closed hours." - Matthew Kang

Wasn't sure what to expect, but the server was very helpful. Decided on the Reading, the braised short ribs. It was very tasty with just a little spice. My wife enjoyed her Mie Goreng, fried noodles. We also had the young coconut water it was perfect with the food. If they have it, try the shrimp chips. When you are looking for some delicious food in Glendale that is a little different, give Rinjani a try.

My wife and I enjoyed our experience here. Coming from an Indonesian background, I know Indonesian food pretty well and this is right up there in terms of quality and authenticity (with a slightly modern feel and presentation). We had the satay, gado gado, chicken, and fish for some variety and not were not disappointed. Had plenty left to take home and enjoy as another meal. My server was very attentive, genuine, and friendly. We had the pleasure of meeting and talking with the owner who is also Indonesian and were able to share a few stories of our common history. Giving it four stars (more like 4.5) as I would like to see a few more selections on the menu, such as nasi rames, lontong, laksa soup to name a few. I am sure they would do it well. Will definitely be coming back.

I grew up in an Indo home and my Dad was a fabulous cook, so I know and love this cuisine. Rinjani is serving up authentic dishes that are giving my Dad a run for his money. I had the rending and nasi uduk and it was delicious with good portions as well. Loved the Ese Cendol as well. If you are looking for something new to try and are not afraid to go a little exotic, try this place. I only held back the 5th star for my Dad...

Intimate and cozy , Rinjani’s eclectic Indonesian inspired menu is truly a transportation to its beautiful culture. The food was absolutely AMAZING. We wanted to try everything on the menu so we did ! We order the “ RIJSTTAFEL”, which means “a bit of everything “. Every dish they brought to the table was even better then the first. It was ALL so good. From the flavors, to the presentation, to the service. I’d recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE! Come hungry because you’re going to want to try it all! Bring your friends too so you can all share a different dish !!! I give them ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5.

Amazing food. Oxtail soup is a must. Great fry bread and curry sauce. Will be back to try the rest. Ambiance is nice and mellow. Chill music. Friendly staff. Thanks for opening. And good luck!

Originally from Indonesia, I had big expectation for Indonesian restaurants in the U.S. Rinjani was just okay for me... they try to be authentic, but the flavors are definitely different from the 'real' Indonesian food - it needs to be bolder and spicier!

One of the best authentic yet classy restaurant. Very causal and clam environment. You can park in the structure free for 90 mins. The owner serves the food and is very down to earth. Great customer service. Delicious and mouth watery food. Finally, all the meats are Halal.
