On the Grid : Ripaille

"For ten years now this former wine waiter manages this good adress in a old parisian style. Exactly what you were looking for, right? The kindness of the boss and of the small team who goes with him in this adventure will please you. The menu changes every two monthes with a predominance of fresh fishes. You will also find there amazing products from Corrèze, in the South West of France (yes, foie gras and everything). The wine list is made of special vintages, that are worth to be tasted. If you like that place as much as we do, note that you can privatize it for you special occasions. A good time in perspective." - Brand Brothers

Just a lovely personable place to enjoy an excellent meal for two. Excellent food quality and plenty of it. Felt suitability stuffed. A great bottle of Cotes de Roussillon at €28 was a find. Highly rate this small cosy and very convivial place.

A wonderful dining experience. I myself ate the haddock starter, the pork chop and the chocolate fondant, which were all delicious. Waiters are beyond charming and made the experience amazing. Why not 5 stars? Well it’s a little pricey (although to be fair most places are in Paris) and it’s a little crammed inside, but that’s the only few downsides for me.

Exemplary service and gastronomic experience from this little restaurant at the street of Paris (First meal in Paris). The owner himself was very friendly and took the time to explain the menu one by one despite having a hard time translating it to english. The food was fresh and high quality in the taste, something of a fine dining level which you will never expect from a humble little place like that.

Three years in a row we’ve included this little restaurant in our trips to Paris. The menu changes daily with an emphasis on seafood. Everything is prepared to perfection. The service is efficient and friendly. It is a small room but does not feel crowded. In the 17th close to the Rome Metro stop.

We were looking for a nice French restaurant for our last night in Paris and are so glad we came across Ripaille. From the moment we walked in the door we felt very welcome, even though we didn't have a reservation. All the dishes were delicious and the atmosphere warm. Next time we're in Paris we'll make sure to come back.

This gem of a restaurant has been around for 18 years serving up the best of seasonal ingredients, the French way! We had the most enjoyable dining experience and was blown away by the chef. Started my meal with the ceviche, that was simply so fresh and with clean flavours that highlights the fish. My friend had the raw oyster that was served with the most delicious sauce. The fillet de boeuf was incredibly tender and the potato millefeuille was the best thing I’ve tasted, loved the crispy top and delicious creamy filling. Scallops was cooked to perfection. No doubt you can feel the mastery of the chef in each dish. Restaurant is kinda small, sitting about ~25 people, recommend you make a reservation ahead of time. It can be done online and quite easy. I had to 2-course meal, no wines just a coffee at the end and paid only €45. Very good considering the quality. Food : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambiance : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Yelp
Was staying in Paris for the first time. My husband and I wanted non touristy spots do found this on Yelp and in our neighborhood. We ordered the beef steak on top of risotto, fish of the day on top of a tomato type stew and the shrimp salad. Our favorite was the shrimp salad. It was a bit intimidating going to a non touristy restaurant when French is the primarily language. We give it three stars because we felt that our over all experience does not feel like a 4. The food was not bad but decent for our first experience of local French cuisine.

Yelp
Great restaurant, interesting food, good service. Definitely make a reservation in advance as it's very small and rather popular.

Yelp
A very Nice Restaurant The front of the restaurant is not encouraging. The inside is more pleasant although simple. The staff were friendly and attentive. The lunch was excellent, so is the wine / The prices are correct. If you want a simple, cozy and good quality place this is the best I have been to. Customers are from the local community.. so you get a touch of OLD Paris.. maybe younger at dinner Go there even if you are not from the area... you will not be disappointed

Yelp
Outstanding food. Partly unusual combinations. For me always a must go to in Paris. Price level is a bit high but worthwhile every cent.service is very good.
