⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Underwater Experience in the Heart of Toronto We visited Ripley’s Aquarium during a weekend stay in downtown Toronto with our 8-year-old, and it was truly a highlight of our trip. We purchased tickets online in advance, which I highly recommend — the aquarium is very busy, especially on weekends, and having a timed ticket made our entry seamless. The exhibits are spectacular — from stingrays, sea turtles, and jellyfish to sharks and even axolotls, it’s a beautifully curated journey through aquatic life. There’s even a small section with reptiles and amphibians, adding extra variety. Our son was completely captivated. We went on a Saturday afternoon, which was understandably crowded, so if you're looking for a quieter visit, I’d suggest going first thing in the morning or later in the day. Despite the crowds, everything was well organized, and the flow of the experience kept us moving comfortably. Plan to spend about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on how much time you like to spend at each exhibit. We loved the tunnel where sharks swim overhead — it was breathtaking — and the glowing jellyfish displays were unforgettable. There’s a small café halfway through, which is handy for a snack or quick break. One note: if you're prone to motion sensitivity or sensory overwhelm, some areas may feel a bit stimulating, especially when it's packed with people. But overall, it’s a must-visit for families or anyone who loves marine life. Highly recommend it — we really enjoyed our visit.

It’s a pleasant place to visit, and I really enjoyed the moving walkway; it lets you relax and take in all the fish swimming gracefully around you. The whole visit takes about an hour at most, as the aquarium isn’t particularly large compared to some other famous ones I’ve visited around the world, but it’s still quite cool. I appreciated that they also offer a behind-the-scenes look at how the aquarium operates, including their clean ocean initiatives and how they run the filtration and water systems. We went on a weekday before 5 pm, which was fine crowd-wise, but there were a lot of children, so it was pretty noisy..I can’t imagine how busy and loud it must get on weekends. There’s also a pool with stingrays where kids were absolutely thrilled to interact with them; it looked like a fun and engaging spot. I think families with children would really enjoy it and have a great time exploring everything the aquarium has to offer.

Had a wonderful time at the aquarium! The fish displays were beautiful and calming. Loved the jellyfish and shark tanks the most. It was clean, well-organized, and great for both kids and adults. A peaceful and fun way to spend a few hours. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went with my family to the aquarium, and it was a great surprise, one of the best I’ve visited. The main exhibition is incredible, and there’s a moment where you feel completely immersed in the experience, observing a wide variety of marine species up close. There was also a special exhibition featuring different kinds of animals, the “Dragons” exhibit—which was a fun bonus. The jellyfish were mesmerizing, and the manta rays, some of them absolutely huge, were especially impressive and interactive. There’s also a massive, beautiful turtle that really stands out. Definitely worth a visit!

Google
Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is by far the most impressive and well curated aquarium I have visited to date. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed and showcase an incredible variety of marine life, from colorful tropical fish to mesmerizing jellyfish, graceful stingrays, and awe inspiring sharks. One of the highlights for me was the underwater tunnel, where you can watch sharks and other sea creatures swim above and all around you. It truly feels like being inside the ocean. The entire experience is both educational and entertaining, suitable for all ages. Whether you are a marine enthusiast or just looking for a memorable attraction in Toronto, Ripley’s Aquarium is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it. Oh it’s better if you buy the City Tour package for a better deal.

Google
Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is an amazing place! We were truly impressed by the underwater tunnel with sharks and rays — it feels like you’re walking through the ocean. The jellyfish display and tropical fish exhibits are beautiful, and the touch tank is a fun interactive experience. Everything is clean, well-organized, and enjoyable for both kids and adults. A perfect family outing — highly recommended!

Google
Ripley’s Aquarium was such a cool experience. The only thing that threw us off at the start was how unclear the entrance and exit were. There weren’t any obvious signs, and people were kind of walking around in all directions so a bit more guidance would’ve helped. Tickets were $46 for adults and $30 for youth for timed entry. Right at the entrance, there’s a photo booth setup. It looks tempting at first, but honestly, it didn’t seem worth it. The photo is taken in a well-lit area before you actually enter the aquarium, but the clicks are basic with photoshopped backgrounds. Since the aquarium is dimly lit with glass tanks, you can give a try if you wanna capture digital as well as printed copies of your memories. Once you’re inside, it’s amazing. The underwater tunnel with the moving walkway is the highlight, where you’re surrounded by sharks, stingrays, and all kinds of fish. The jellyfish display is absolutely stunning too. Everything is well maintained and visually impressive. There is a small eatery inside if you want a snack or drink during your visit, which is convenient. Washrooms are available and clean, and they’re spread out through different sections. Parking was a bit of a shock. I used MTCC parking nearby, which cost $30 for just two and a half hours. Definitely pricey, so it’s worth checking for other nearby options that might be more affordable.

We went that on a week day evening. Didn't have any expectation since I recevied different comments from friends. We like it! not too big or too small. The sea animals are all seems quite happy and active (especially some of them). We enjoy it!

Trinity P.

Yelp
So big and so fun! It didn't take long to walk through but it was well worth it, it was joyous to see all of the sea creatures and learn all the infomartion! The color pallets of the building are also nice, and the restrooms are clean. I can tell staff is trying to make the experience as well as possible and not over stress it. The gift shop is good too, its pricey as usual but okay to look at anyways. I had a fantastique time.

German C.

Yelp
¡Magnificent! If you're thinking the price may be too high, STOP. it's worth every penny. Each section has opulent, absolutely enormous aquariums-- each with special designs to make you fall in love with the stunning marine life.

Sara T.

Yelp
Came to visit back in November. It was a Sunday evening and very rainy so we were very limited on where we can go. Did a quick google search and found Ripley's and saw that tickets were $5 off when it's after 5pm, so we decided to come here. Was surprised we spent almost an hour here. I know nothing about fishes but found it quite fun and unique with some hands on activities. Towards the end there's a pool of stingrays and you can touch it, so that was pretty cool and enjoyable for the kiddos and adults. It's right next to the CN Tower so maybe you can visit both attractions in the evening!

Ann S.

Yelp
So, we've been to a ton of aquariums, but none sponsored by Ripley's. We both thought it was a bit MEH, until we got to the moving walkway where you move under the sea life. Having a turtle and a shark swim over you is kinda magical.

Natalie K.

Yelp
This is definitely one of the best aquarium I have been to. Ripley's aquarium offer many beautifully sets of exhibit for some interesting looking fish as well as some new exhibition for reptiles. My favorite would be the dangerous fish tank where there is a moving pathway with the fish tank above you showing various kinds of sharks and turtles. There is a small cafe with kids play zone locates after a little walk through the exhibitions. I recommend buying the timed ticket in advance, and come in around your schedule time to avoid any wait.

Peggy C.

Yelp
Went with my family and it was our first time visiting this aquarium. The kids were really excited. We came here on a Sunday so you can certainly imagine how busy it was. There are two floors with many interesting things to see, sharks, manta rays and of course fishes. The tanks are really big. There's a cafe that serves the typical food burgers, poutine, hot dogs, wraps, pizza and more. There's also a vending machine for yogen fruz if you're looking to have some ice cream. Plenty of resting area. There's also a mini playground for kids. Everyone had a great time and we would consider visiting again.

Nicky D.

Yelp
The aquarium was simply a delight. Taking the kids on a round to see all the different fishes was just a great view to see all the different things that were happening. Next to it was also the tower which we were able to go up to the top. There was a two for one ticket special, so it was even good to get both things done in one day. The aquarium was huge and definitely takes a long time. There was a walking path under the sharks, which was great for the little kids, but definitely a scary one for myself.

Johanna J.

Yelp
First time visit to Toronto, and I had to stop by the Aquarium. This aquarium did not disappoint and appears to be a favorite for many - drawing in the locals plus tourists (like me). Admission cost was reasonable compared to other big cities. I truly enjoyed all the exhibits and would visit again. This is definitely a must-see destination.

Biyu X.

Yelp
It's a Saturday afternoon we came here with a family of friends. The Aquarium was in a building. It looked a small place, but after we went inside, it still have lots of room to build the tanks for sea creatures. There were different times of dive shows in different locations. The staff dived into the water and played with the fish. I really like the jellyfish. The color and the shape were so beautiful. We had so much fun in the Aquarium and spent a great day there. We will come back when my little kid goes up.

Ali B.

Yelp
Where to begin? I've heard many people urge me to go to Riley's given my fascination with the sea-world, though I had never been, thinking the aquarium would be another gimmick with not much to do. Though I was pleasantly surprised when I had a free weekend and decided to go; the outside building of the aquarium is very beautiful and easily recognizable from the outside. The interior is just as beautiful with lots and lots of stuff to see, not only for children but also for adults. There were so many species of fish, from cod, to jellyfishes, to sharks and much more! I'm so glad I had the chance to experience the aquarium. I may swing by with some family members when they come visit me in Toronto!

Cecilia T.

Yelp
This was one of the best aquariums we've ever been to- better than we expected. So much to see here- they have over 20k aquatic animals- truly impressive! The Dangerous Langoon was our favorite exhibit- underwater viewing tunnel with a moving glidepath. We enjoyed watching the sharks, sea turtles, seahorses, jellyfish, and stingrays. We also saw a blue lobster (super rare) & an electric eel- and everything else. It was a great experience- my kids had so much fun! They got the 4 souvenir medallions and visited the gift shop at the end. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and adventure as well as those with children- a must-visit in Toronto! :)

Annie P.

Yelp
This was such a fun experience for our kids! Our favorite things were: + The moving walkway where we were able to view everything within our peripheral vision, even above as there was overhead glass as well + Jellyfish tanks which were floor to ceiling and just looked so cool in the dark! + Tunnels through fish tanks where my toddler was able to go back and forth and also see fish herself through the tunnels They also had touch and feel tanks and meet and greets for the stingrays, but it got too crowded for our liking. There were so many different fish and sea animals to look at in the tanks. There's also a large gift shop with so many different items, from candies to shirts to toys and activity sets; my daughter brought home a toy medical kit with a puffin stuffy that she still plays with to this day. They have a variety of ticket types based on your schedule: timed entry (enter within an allotted time period), flex ticket (come in anytime), and after 5PM tickets. We went with the timed tickets and came first thing when they opened and was able to explore a bit before it started getting very crowded. I would budget for staying here for about 2 hours or so with your kids.

Lydia M.

Yelp
Really cool aquarium, honestly probably the best one I have ever been to! There is a moving walkway that is probably close to a mile long that moves really slow and takes you through an area where water is on both sides of you and above you so fish and sharks can swim over you. There were also jelly fish and stingray exhibits. All of the fish tanks were really cool. I definitely recommend this aquarium. It is expensive and it was extremely crowded, but totally worth it!

Nick P.

Yelp
I don't usually go to a lot of Ripley's attractions, but since this was located next door to the CN Tower I figured why not. It was also raining so I wanted to do something indoors. I went during spring break so there were a multitude of kids here. They have different kinds of tickets you can buy. -timed ticket - $45 for an adult -flex ticket - $49 for an adult -sharks after dark - $40 for an adult after 5 pm -Ripley's Aquarium/CN Tower combo - $74 for an adult. This is general admission to the main observation deck at CN Tower I did the timed ticket. There was a bit of a line just to get in and have your tickets scanned. There are two levels. You will start on the upper level which has Canadian waters, shoreline gallery, and kelp forest. You'll make your way to the lower level. The lower level has the rainbow reef, dangerous lagoon, discovery centre (mostly for kids and families), the gallery, ray bay, planet jellies, life support systems, and shipwrecks. There is food by the discovery centre. You exit the aquarium by going through the gift shop. That's how they get you, you'll see something you might want to buy as you're trying to leave. So, even though it was pretty busy, I was still able to look at everything. In the dangerous lagoon with the moving glidepath, you don't have to stay in line with everyone else. You can get off the moving glidepath and bypass all of those people. Otherwise, you'll be waiting awhile just to finish. If you have kids, there are spots where they can crawl and get unique views of the fish. I would recommend coming here, you can spend a few hours there. It's a lot bigger than it looks. Staff was nice and helpful.

Joren C.

Yelp
Ripley's Aquarium is a fantastic destination for anyone interested in marine life! The exhibits are well-curated and offer a wide variety of sea creatures, from colorful fish to fascinating sharks and rays. The tunnel walk-through, where you're surrounded by massive tanks, is an incredible experience that makes you feel like you're truly immersed in the underwater world. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always eager to share interesting facts and answer questions. It's a fun and educational visit for all ages, with interactive displays and feeding demonstrations that add to the excitement. Whether you're a local or a tourist, Ripley's Aquarium is a must-see attraction!

Craig M.

Yelp
The aquarium is conveniently located near the CN Tower, the home of the Toronto Blue Jays, a train museum and the Intercontinental Hotel. That basically means you can walk to each of those in minutes from there. The decor and layout is conducive to children and is focused on education of species from around the world. It felt odd to see displays that explained the origins as the United States making you forget for a minute you are in Canada. They have quite a few exhibits of which my favorite is the moving platform that takes you through the shark tank. I enjoyed the time I had which was with the self-guided tour. I took lots of photos for the family to see and I enjoyed the educational aspect of the aquarium. I would go again if I brought family with me on my next work trip.

Maddy B.

Yelp
This was my first time at Ripley's aquarium and it was nothing short of magical. Even though we went on a weekend ( book in advance, queues are crazy) and every attraction had a ton of people (so if you want good pictures then go when its less busy), it was still just amazing. Once we got our tickets we headed in and I knew it would be good, but not this good. And as an "adult" , I definitely became a big kid over here. Sharks swimming on top of you , getting to pet stingray and... SO MANY JELLYFISH! You can even say hi to Nemo, and find out all about the "anemenemone" Also definitely worth checking out when the dive shows are, it's so cool to watch someone inside with all the fish! There's a cafe half way through your journey with some reasonably priced snacks! Definitely a lot cheaper than I expected. The gift shop at the end is the icing on the cake! Definitely a MUST visit in Toronto!

Ulloa D.

Yelp
Jazz night was well worth it. The aquarium is well laid out and has lots of interesting attractions and animals.

Benjamin M.

Yelp
I have been to a half-dozen aquariums in northeastern part of the USA, so I expected this aquarium to be at least as good. I found it a little bit disappointing. Like all aquariums, it was loud, dark, muggy, jam-packed with people pushing by each other, and filled with fish tanks that make my eyes go buggy after a while of staring. There were many fun things for kids to do such as climb in tunnels, in submarines, play around in special areas, etc. The really long conveyor belt walkway was also nice, and some specific exhibits were entertaining, but I missed some things like Pengiuns and sea lions, or the ability to watch fish get fed, etc. It seemed like a nice, "average", aquarium but nothing special or really "wow". Maybe I am spoiled.

Madhurima D.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best aquariums I have seen so far. There were plenty of interesting varieties of fish. Everything was well maintained and browsing through the place was convenient. It was very crowded, but the way the aquarium was organized made it comfortable.

Cin V.

Yelp
One of the best aquarium I've ever been to. Conveniently located by the CN tower. Lots to see, touch, explore, and take pictures of. There are kid-friendly areas as well. The jellyfish wall was extra instagram worthy. The walkthrough under water area was beautiful. I loved being able to be so up close to the sea turtle and huge stingrays as well as be able to see multiple views of the same tank. This was our first time here and won't be our last.

Melanie N.

Yelp
Checked this place out with my family for a fun thing to do in the city of Toronto. We always love checking out aquariums, so we made sure to hit this location. This aquarium had cool animal features and was pretty large considering it's in DT. It's also immensely interactive for children and has many opportunities for kids to explore and learn more. There's several different exhibits divided into sections depending on the environment of the animal. Our favorite part was at the end, with being able to pet the stingrays! Overall, it's a great aquarium to check out and is very family oriented!

Courtney O.

Yelp
My favorite thing about this aquarium is the long moving walkway that takes you through a glass tunnel with sharks, turtles and sting rays all swimming above and around you. The view is spectacular and the moving walk way helps to allow each person an opportunity to get a good view while moving through the area. We purchased our tickets online with the cn tower so we were able to get a bundle deal. When we arrived, we were not expecting a massively long line going down the street. There are two lines: one for pre pay and one for buying tickets. The pre pay line did move really fast but once inside, we were smashed like sardines. It was packed!! It was hard to see a lot of exhibits without being hit or run into by a stroller. We came at 2pm so time of day may matter. Keep that in mind.

Jon C.

Yelp
This aquarium has some really special aquatic animals. It has sharks, sea turtles, jelly fish, stingrays, and many others. It's very dark though, I can hardly see inside. It has a play area to look forward to. Santa might show up in the tank if you're lucky around Christmas. The gift shop has TONS of Axolotl stuff but the exhibit for Axolotl is like super tiny. Not sure why. Don't forget to you get discount at gift shop if you have a membership.

Cecilia M.

Yelp
A great tourist attraction for kids! Worth visiting at least once to lean and see life beneath the water. It is quite a popular spot though, so it's best to buy timed tickets before your visit. Especially wise for long weekends and holidays. Otherwise, expect VERY long line ups outside. It's also quite pricey - since they've removed all promotions - single adult is $44. They are no longer part of the CityPass either. Once inside, you have a two-storey building to explore. Take your time to see all the creatures and plants that keep our planet healthy. For kids, there's a lot of interactive exhibits and play areas. Washrooms are all throughout the space, and there's a dining hall with some food available for purchase. But seating is limited. So expect to be on your feet for hours. If you wish to attend some talks and workshops, make sure you get in the door early! By 2:30-3pm, all those sessions are done for the day. FYI: Upon departure, you literally have to exit through the gift shop! So don't wander back the the entrance - you can't exit from there.

Matt W.

Yelp
My family had a pretty good time. I remember going here prior to COVID and the place was extremely crowded, then I came once when they'd opened up for the first time since COVID and it was much better. Albeit, at that time it was timed and staggered ticket entry only, and masking was enforced. Not to say the pandemic is officially over, but having gone in 2023 it sure felt like it. Massive crowds everywhere, and although our tickets did have a timed entry we were told we could show up +/- an hour to whatever time it said and stay as long as we wanted, which is what it looks like the majority of the patrons were doing. We took the day off work and went on a weekday morning, but it was still heavily packed, most likely due to school trips. In the past we'd make it through the entire place in under an hour, but with crowds not only for the attractions but the actual hallways/pathways, it took well over 2 hours. Highlights for us were the stingrays, and sharks and of course the turtles. The moving walkway was a great way to space yourselves apart from neighbours, especially if you utilize strollers. Based on someone who is still weary of catching colds/viruses, this is great but not perfect if you want to avoid large crowds compacted into indoor places. We tried going during off-peak hours but that didn't help, as there probably is no off-peak hours.

Rebekah B.

Yelp
I arrived in Toronto today and had dinner at 360. I noticed on the display that the aquarium has an Axolotl, my daughter's favorite animal. I walked into the aquarium at 8pm (Apple Maps said it closed at 11), and the rude woman behind the front desk would not let me or the group in front of me in, staying that it closes at 9pm. I then tried to purchase something at the gift shop for my daughter and they wouldn't let me in without a paid admission. I was more than willing to pay for admission for a short period of time and pay for something at the gift shop and both employees were rude and not accommodating. Go elsewhere.

Alan G.

Yelp
We were told we needed to visit this place. We have one at home but we are so glad we did visit. Just the different types of displays they have and the setup was just amazing to see the sea life that Canada has to offer. It was raining so it was a great thing to do indoors.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Took my daughter here for her birthday. Bought tickets online for 2 adults, toddler was free. Drove downtown and paid for parking. We had to walk about 10 minutes to get to Ripley's. They have coat check for $3 which was nice cause nobody wants to wear their jacket walking around for hours looking at sea life creatures, while sweating. It was a Thursday, but it was already packed at 1pm. The aquarium was nice and big, it really reminded me of a school trip long long time ago. You can see the creatures up real close and read up about them with the info they provide. Everything looked so colourful, magical, yet so peaceful all at the same time. I can't really find the words to describe it. My daughter loved every bit of it. A lot of oohs and wows came out of her (haha, she's only 2). They have a mini cafe mid way through the aquarium, so we got pretzel, chicken tenders and a pizza slice. Food is mediocre, I say eat first before coming here. They also have a play area for the kiddos, which is nice, but if they have too much fun in there they won't want to see what else the aquarium has to offer. Would definitely come back again.

Master Vicente A.

Yelp
Our next family Toronto adventure take us to Riley's Aquarium of Canada with a category of 4.6 and more than 55,629 reviews, this seaquarium is in other level. The way they show the under water life is incredible insane. The visitor is trapped and fascinated by the colors and different species of marine life and walking along a mat while a shark swims above you and something that you should not miss are the gelly fish, they are a spectacle of colors that change according to the light that illuminates them. I have visited other seaquariums such as the one in Atlanta, one of the largest in the US, but I loved this one. The time I spent with my family I enjoyed a lot.

Cynthia C.

Yelp
Third time I've been to the aquarium, last time I came was a long time ago. I've been wanting to come since last year to bring my boys. We went on a Sunday and I thought it would be packed, but it wasn't that bad. I had a coupon to get tickets for cheap and there was not many waiting in line (around noon), the boys were so happy and excited to visit this place! They loved seeing all the sea turtles, stingrays and shark! We even saw the diver feeding the sting rays which was pretty cool. The place is well maintained, clean and a great place to take little ones to enjoy a day out! Only wish it wasn't so expensive for adults to get in, we had a coupon so no complaints there, but if not we would not go due to cost.

Arvid Y.

Yelp
My family had a great time. A little overcrowded for my liking, but other than that the aquarium exceeded expectations. I thought I would walk through the entire place in 45 minutes, but that wasn't the case. Definitely enough to see in there for at least 2 hours. Highlights include the Sea Nettles, Stingrays and of course the sharks. I like the automatic moving walkway that takes you through the exhibit without having to bump shoulders with ppl. Again not for people who dislike crowds. Definitely try going during off-peak hours. And for those families with strollers, consider the more portable umbrella strollers. Our UppaBaby was causing some congestion and it was hard maneuvering it around crowds.

Sunil R.

Yelp
I find aquariums fascinating and peaceful. Something about water and seeing all the fish in a smooth fluid motion. A big plus for the walkway with the sharks and an array of other sea creatures above you. The Toronto aquarium is right next to the CN tower and it makes a great day between these 2.

Sylvia A.

Yelp
This is our second time visiting Toronto. The first time we went we didn't get a chance to visit the aquarium. You don't have to make an appointment to visit. As some of the museums prefer that you do. Parking was about a block or two away. It is very expensive. It reminds me of Baltimore Maryland parking. You can rarely find a garage for under $25.00. We were only there for a couple of hours and You have to pay maximum rate. I guess if you're not driving you can save money on that aspect. Not sure how much a taxi or Uber would cost here but that's also an option. I enjoyed this aquarium I love to visit different aquariums in different parts of the country so that I have a comparison. This one has different types of fish of course which I've never seen because they're only found in this part of the world. My favorite part was going under the tunnel and watching the stingrays and sharks above your head. It made you feel like you were there under water with them, but you remained dry. I thought that was so cool. We visited on a weekday. Still was pretty crowded but not overly crowded like it would be on a weekend. I definitely recommend checking it out. Recommended for all ages and I even noticed a separate play area for the kiddies. If you're a tourist, you really want to check it out. I'm sure even the locals enjoy it.

Annie D.

Yelp
It's great family place. Good for children. Lots of crawling areas and touch tanks. A little pricy but good combined with the CN Tower. Buy tickets online. Lines get very long.

Eric D.

Yelp
I can't say enough just how incredibly amazing this aquarium is. The animals are just amazing and the tanks are so cool. My mom and I had an awesome time learning and seeing all the different tanks and types of fish. I stood and watched the massive kelp first for at least 15 minutes it's so beautiful and relaxing and dangerous bay is just the coolest thing with something new to see on every turn. I was sad the touch tanks were closed but I'm glad the staff was making sure the animals were happy that's the priority. This is not a cheap place to visit and there's basically no parking but it's well worth it if you're in town. Such a cool place can't wait to come back again!

Les R.

Yelp
This is such an Amazing aquarium! One of the largest I have visited with an abundance of breathtaking marine life. This is absolutely in my top 3 favorite activities in Toronto. Allow plenty of time to enjoy it. Website said 2 - 2 1/2 hours but we personally stayed around three easily. The aquarium access to the aquarium is located in a very busy area next to the CN Tower, Rogers Center, and the Toronto Railway Museum. We purchased tickets at the door but you can also purchase online timed tickets. Other than the crowd, we just walked up and purchased our tickets, it was a quick and easy purchase. Tickets were $44 per person for adults ($38.52 USD). It was extremely busy with a lot of school groups visiting but it was fun and enjoyed all the exhibits or habitats (not sure the correct word there). The Canadian Waters, Rainbow Reef, Dangerous Lagoon, Ray Bay, and Planet Jellies were my favorites. They have sharks, jelly dish, sea turtles, stingrays, sea horses, and so many various schools of fish. It was really neat to see the Life Support Systems and see all the pumps and filters as well. At the end, as you make your way through you end up at the gift shop. It was impressive as well with all kings of stuffed animals, clothing, and trinkets & tchotchkes. Absolutely a great experience and add it to your must see list if you have never been or in town visiting.

Yelp
I love Aquariums and this one did not disappoint at all.....Ripley's Aquarium of Canada is the public aquarium in downtown Toronto. The aquarium is one of three aquariums owned-and-operated by Ripley Entertainment. It is located just southeast of the CN Tower. The aquarium has 5.7 million litres (1.25 million gallons) of marine and freshwater habitats from across the world. The exhibits hold more than 20,000 exotic sea and freshwater specimens from more than 450 species. I loved seeing all the fish, the sea mammals, the plants, everything. Ranging from a rainbow reef to vibrant jellyfish, the Ripley's Aquarium is a wonderful aquatic hub for all ages. Not only I was able to see a mesmerizing collection of Canadian creatures, but also fishes from around the globe as well. I loved the jellyfish exhibit (the world's most extensive one), 65+-year-old giant lobsters, including a Blue One!.....and stingray touch pools and the shark exhibit. Adult tickets are CAD $44, a bit pricey, but definitely an experience to visit...I got the CityPass, which combines several attractions for one price and I found that to be a great deal.

Yelp
Don't do it. We got our tickets for the morning (family of 3). The overall experience was terrible. So many people. You can't see any of the exhibits as it's too crowded with people. They also had many student field trips (counted over 20). I get it but they should find a different process for these local trips for their students (early mornings or a certain of number). I guess get there right as they open. Or don't go during end of summer (August). One star as they had several hand sanitizer stations, but this was beyond gross- literally shoulder to shoulder, as we all moved like sardines. They need to limit the number of people that can go in.

Yelp
Stopped here while in Toronto. I'm not much for zoos and aquariums but - when in Rome. The whole place smelled like a warm turtle tank - seeing the fish was cool but I would recommend going earlier or later to beat the crowds. Too many people stopping in the middle of the right enclosures and not letting people walk by. It was cool to see people touch the sting rays. The sting rays appreciate it .

Yelp
I love Aquariums & this was a cute one. It was small but cute. There was a moving sidewalk that allowed us to see the fish better without having other people in the way. I was able to see fish & different species that I haven't seen in other aquariums. I would recommend.

Yelp
For about 100 dollars for two adults, this aquarium is very underwhelming. The amount of aquatic animals were very limited, with the main attraction being the auto-path around a winding tank with fishes, turtles and sharks. This overpriced attraction is catered towards tourists probably, since many locals also mentioned that the price is extraordinarily high for such a short attraction. Definitely do not recommend, there are plenty of other things to do that is more worth your money. Good luck and thanks for reading!

Yelp
I'm so torn because this is really not about the variety of animals, but the experience was absolutely ruined with how cruel visitors were to all exhibits. I don't know why the staff presence is low, but there were multiple exhibits that should really have more supervision. Children and adults banging on the octopus exhibit, as well as the puffer fish (just to try to get them to puff up), and the seahorses. It was truly heartbreaking, and it just felt like the aquarium management did not prioritize how to disperse its staff in order to protect the peace of these animals' homes. The overall encounters with the animals were great, and I loved the available places to sit and slowly enjoy the large tank exhibits. The bonus part were the outlets (to charge my phone).

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! It's super fun, educational, spacious and clean. The staff know a lot about the animals they are in charge of. The dive shows and feedings are great chances to see something new or talk to the care givers. The tanks are so well designed. Take a second and third look. I guarantee there's a creature you didn't see the first time.

Yelp
This is a good comprehensive aquarium covering lots of the marine life in and around Canada. We didn't buy any gifts or food in the aquarium so I can't speak to that. There could have been a little more to see, but for the price it was very enjoyable.

Yelp
Simply awesome. So much to see. Great variety and layout. Grandkids where in awe and the adults had fun too. Highlight for all was petting Stingrays. A must attend.

Yelp
I am always a sucker for an aquarium. Ripley's is a fun place for fish watching, leaning about our planet and people watching. There are lots of displays and fun for all ages. It's beautiful, clean and the architecture is beautiful!

Yelp
I went after 2:00 on a Monday. Hardly any crowds! There are lots of huge cool fish and the tanks are very big and impressive. I had a wonderful time. Would recommend to families!

Yelp
Overall rating: An unforgettable experience with my sister 6 stars Food: there is an ice cream vending machine, snack machine, as well as a cafeteria located half way through the aquarium, along with the resting area by the food area there is a little slide and area for kids to climb and play while adults rest Texture: ice cream we got was good, it was classified as frozen yogurt and only had vanilla and strawberry as options BUT it had a top of topping opinions, each topping would be an extra dollar but a Canadian dollar is less than a US one! ;) so we got a discount hehe Pricing: $60 for both of us including the ice cream Ambiance: tons of fishies even sharks and turtles! Seating & Parking: parking garage near by and a bit of seating here and there Service: friendly and kind workers Music: none, just the sound of flowing water and narration of the fishes being displayed Bathrooms: plenty of bathrooms through out the aquarium Final comments: a lovely aquarium
Pattern of hills and trees around lake
