"This small deli on Broad Ripple Avenue slings big sandwiches, soups, and salads, but their specialty steamed bagels keep people coming back for more. For breakfast and lunch, you can top a variety of bagels with bacon, sausage, turkey, roast beef, corned beef, or pastrami. Talk with the staff to customize a bagel to your liking, even if that just means spicing up your turkey bagel with some chipotle cream cheese, or adding multiple meats and additional toppings." - Mike Gillis

This place is incredible. We visit every time we are in Indiana. If you can't find something on their menu that you want, then something is wrong. They have a squillion different choices. Or build your own. Ingredients are all fresh and delicious. Employees are very helpful and friendly. Love the music they play, love the Grateful Dead tie ins. Can't say enough good about this place. Can't wait to visit again.

Google
This is our favorite place to eat in Indianapolis. The steamed bagel sandwiches are the best we’ve ever had. There is so much to choose from, you can’t go wrong for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Online ordering is easy or order at the restaurant. The staff is also extremely helpful and welcoming. Don’t miss out on this gem.

I’ve been on the hunt for an actually good bagel spot in Indy as none of the others are any good. I was recently suggested I try Ripple Bagel and Deli so I decided to stop by. Came in on a Friday at around 10 AM and they were a little busy. The guy who took my order was friendly. I got the Egg-McMahon sandwich and overall it was really good! The bagel was toasted perfectly, the sausage and egg were good too. Overall, definitely my new favorite bagel spot in Indy. If you’re in Broad Ripple, give this place a shot! I’ll be back.

Google
Best bagels in Indy!! The steamed bagel sandwiches just make the bagel so good, and it’s unique. I also appreciate the huge variety of sandwich flavors. My favorites are the Ga Ga Gabor and the Morning Mess. This is my go to hangover cure, a bagel sandwich from Ripple Bagel revives me🙌. But it’s equally as good when you’re not hungover! I would definitely recommend ordering online ahead of time. Everyone knows how good this place is so it’s always busy, and usually takes about 30 minutes to get your bagel.

Google
Ripple Bagel & Deli is a MUST stop for breakfast & lunch in the Bripp area. The staff is absolutely classic & will cut up with you. The deli spotlight section is something you will always enjoy. The Kerfuffle was absolutely delicious. We had the Adam’s apple x2 which is a blend of sweet & savory. Biscuits and gravy are slept on… that sausage gravy and consistency was remarkable. We will be back for more as the menu is massive and everything looks delicious. 5/5 from me. Got our lunch to go to enjoy at our own leisure later!

Google
Had a great time at Ripple Bagel and Deli. Tod was an awesome guy that day and served us at the cash register. He was super nice and helpful with it being my first time there. I appreciate the kindness and quickness of the service. The bagel was great and the inside was soft. The fillings were great, too. I enjoyed some ice coffee, too. Thank you Tod! Definitely a must go to if you’re in broadripple!

Google
Have been coming here for years. I love how much more organized it is to order now, I used to hate the chaos inside. You guys have an insane amount of sandwiches, there is something for everyone besides vegans. Great food, nice location and excellent service everytime.

Google
Nothing makes my soul happier than a Broad Ripple bagel on a Saturday morning. There's limited seating inside, so we usually order online and take it home. The staff is always friendly and helpful. No other bagel will ever compare.

Clint C.

Yelp
Food was hot and ready fast. Lots of cream cheese on them bagels. Staff was helpful and friendly. Able to swap blueberry bagel for cinnamon raisin on the Banana Surprise. Also ordered the Dela Wee and the Miami.

Yelp
Ripple Bagel & Deli is a locally owned deli that has been in Broad Ripple since the 1970's. Their sandwiches are made on their freshly made (in-house) bagels. The shop is eclectic, with a cool neighborhood vibe. When I stopped by, the tables were full except for one that I snagged. The place was hopping. I ordered and paid at the counter. They had a huge assortment of plain, breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwich options, including veggie options. I chose the Five-0, consisting of bacon, cream cheese on an onion bagel. Most of the bagels are steamed to keep them soft and chewy. My sandwich was ready in 10 minutes. The Five-0 was warm and delicious with lots of crispy bacon and a great bagel. I could eat these everyday. The clerk was super friendly and helpful. He described how the bagels were prepped and offered me a hard copy of the menu. They serve coffee as well. Prices are reasonable. Parking in Broad Ripple is limited and metered. I found parking about a block away and dropped all my change into the meter. I'll be stopping every time I'm in BR.

Jared C.

Yelp
First time I went there, I waited 45 minutes for my egg and cheese sandwich. The location itself is pretty small, but they keep you entertained with a lot of drawings and menu options on the wall, and watching the workers make the dozens of sandwiches per hour. While, it was incredibly good, I thought the wait was extremely long. Luckily, I discovered they have an online app that you can use to order ahead. Since using the app, my girlfriend and I have loved going here every weekend she's in town. The food is delicious and consistent every single time. Prices are pretty standard for a bagel sandwich. I strongly recommend the place to those who live in Broad Ripple or are looking to explore a bagel sandwich place in Indianapolis.

Andrew K.

Yelp
Clean, welcoming neighborhood bagel joint that offers fantastic sandwiches. It takes longer to decide what you'll be ordering, due to the vast menu, than it does for the bagel to come out. Staff is helpful, and offer substitutions!

Andy R.

Yelp
A delightful bagel shop with voluminous choices and options. Happy to see this location surviving the ongoing gentrification of the area. The staff were friendly on a Saturday morning and service was routine, no problems. Fresh ingredients but one of our sandwiches was barely warm when it should have been steamed through and through. Oh well. Ripple and Bagel is a solid choice.

Olivia O.

Yelp
Best bagel sandwiches in the area! Very similar to CBA in Chicago. I love steamed bagel style sandwiches. The big N is my go to and it's loaded! I will say it is very messy so make sure to grab enough napkins. It's filled with turkey, cream cheese, lettuce, honey mustard and avocado. What dreams are made of. Love the new option for ordering ahead such a time saver. And to top it all off they have blue Powerade on fountain! Inside is small with limited seating so I would recommend grabbing it to go. And they do travel well!

Ti'Asha O.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem and the city's best kept secret, in my opinion! The bagels are always steamed to perfection. The options are endless and extremely flexible. I love trying new combinations! The grab-and-go deli style and chalkboard menu create a unique vibe. The customer service has always been exceptional as well!

Curtis S.

Yelp
Bagel was outstanding! Great quality - texture, favor, appearance, & taste! My new top bagel shop!

Sujal M.

Yelp
I went to Ripple Bagel and Deli today. Located on Broad Ripple Avenue, the place serves bagel sandwiches. I ordered the Deer Creek from the vegetarian section. I liked the sandwich a lot. It was $7 and very filling. You really don't need anything else with it. I wished the food came out quicker, so maybe that's why I'm thinking 4 stars vs 5. But I applaud the vast menu and the veggie friendly section. It's a casual atmosphere, and you can either sit down or take it to go. I think pretty much around me did the latter. I would recommend it as the sandwich was tasty.

Megan L.

Yelp
This is a great deli with PLENTY of options. Staff is always very friendly! This round I got the White Box which 10/10! I highly recommend it. I would give them 5 stars but there are always long wait times. But hey that means they're doing well. For me, I want to be in and out. Overall the vibes are chill!

Elliott P.

Yelp
Ned's Gold is amazing! I have come here for years and sadly it's all I ever get! Plus 2 orders of their delicious potato salad

Elizabeth Z.

Yelp
Hard to have anything to complain about here. Can't go wrong with a hole in the wall bagel shop. Super busy as was expected for a Saturday morning around noon, but our bagels didn't take too long. So many options on the menu and everything sounded great. Went with the Elvis (wild honey pie add bacon) and the Tape Your Ankles. We both ate in silence because it was so good (and messy). Will be back to explore the menu further for sure.

Shelby A.

Yelp
This was my go to spot on drunken college nights in Bripp. Now. It's my go to spot for breakfast in the morning as I can't sleep in anymore. Thanks for being there for me through all stages of life . You can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches. Loved that the bagels are steamed and you can make your own combination. I suggest calling ahead to order in the mornings on the weekend.

Dani J.

Yelp
Service was friendly and welcoming. Food was good. I was told their bagels are sourced from Bagel Fair in Nora. My fave. Steamed bagel sandwiches. Yum. Sandwiches were made pretty quickly. I decided to try a BLT. It was okay. Just a tad bit too much mayo for my liking. I'd definitely try another sandwich. My coworker got the Boilermaker and said it was really good. I'll update my review when I try more items.

Anne W.

Yelp
So good! This is the first time we've ordered from here and definitely be back! Hubby ordered Sara's Secret. He said it was messy, but delicious. I had the Hot Tuna Meltdown, and I loved it. It was also messy but so delicious. Both were served on Bialys not bagels, and the Bialys were much softer than a bagel. We each got the cracked pepper & sea salt chips. If you haven't tried this place you should. He said it was really nice inside when he went to pickup and that service was excellent! Great lunch, can't wait to try the breakfast sandwiches!

Maddie C.

Yelp
We recently moved back to Indy and bagel deli was one of our first must-go stops! We've loved this place for years and it never fails. There's a huge menu so there's definitely something for everyone. I love that they steam their bagels, it gives them a unique texture. You can also opt to get your bagel toasted instead which is nice. My favorite is Tape Your Ankles, it's a staple and delicious. It's a small place so seating is limited, but you can order ahead and pick up! They are almost always busy so expect a bit of a wait, but they churn them out quickly!

Lin LiAnn W.

Yelp
I've been in a mission to find the best bagels and cream cheese in the Indy area. This was one of three places that seemed to come up. Located on the main drag in Broadripple, you'll need to find street parking or a business that has a lot. I was told this place was always busy and I heard correctly. We went at 9 on a Saturday morning and it was packed. We put in our order and headed to the Starbucks a few doors down to wait in an area that wasn't so crowded. Great Starbucks by the way, it has a fireplace and a cozy vibe but back to bagels. This review is strictly for bagels and cream cheese. I tried an everything bagel, onion, and a garlic. Not much "stuff" on any of them. The bagels are good but the garlic herb cream cheese? Wow. If I'm in the mood for a herbed cream cheese, I have found my spot. Best I've had. Wait staff was nice. The interaction was super brief since there was a line out the door. All in all, I would go back for sure but unless you want to wait 25 minutes or more for a bagel, don't go on the weekends in the morning.

Ashley T.

Yelp
Absolutely killed it, came in and got the morning mess add jalapeños and the Adam's apple add honey walnut cream cheese! We will be back!

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
What's not to love about this place? This is one of my favorite abroad Ripple staples. I have never been disappointed when visiting. However, you should expect to wait a little bit of time for your order and a table during peak times. Additionally, parking can be challenging. Most recently, I ordered a Wam-O. One of my favorites, with so many delicious flavors.

Sonya D.

Yelp
Cameron and I ran a half marathon this morning on the Monon and were so hungry after that we stopped for bagels! I got the Hot Roxie: hard-boiled egg, veggie cream cheese, cracked pepper, bacon, and avocado in an everything bagel. The veggie cream cheese was SO good. Amazing bagel sandwich. Totally hit the spot after the run. My only critique is that they didn't toast by bagel. In all my life I have never gotten an untoasted bagel sandwich. It is illegal to not toast the bagel in a bagel sandwich. Cameron got a regular bagel with cream cheese and deemed it a 10/10. Really cool vibes in this place and they have A MILLION MENU ITEMS. I can't wait to go back and try more! They're doing construction on the road where this shop is located fyi- we parked at Jimmy John's and walked across the street.

Doug R.

Yelp
Great BRV tradition and a derivative of the bagel & deli shop with soups, Sausage Gravy & Biscuits, and many unique, Indy-themed sandwiches. Great service but Saturday mornings can be packed as local Monon users will combine with Butler students and normal BRV and Meridian-Kessler neighbors for hangover cures & breaking fast sustenance. The setting is throw back college days with pennants hanging from the ceiling and a walk up counter with limited table-seating capacity. Everyone is friendly and you now can order ahead, but great people watching if you get a seat! The Morning Mess is my go to, but you can't go wrong! Highly recommend!

Tiana W.

Yelp
I hadn't been to this place in years and I rarely eat bagels but my husband really wanted one. It was yummy just like I remembered. I don't remember the name of the bagel but it was onion cream cheese and bacon and it was so fire!!!

AJ M.

Yelp
Bripp Bagel Deli has been a staple for a long time. It used to be chaos on a weekend. But they've improved their ordering process SO much since I've last been (it's been years). Not sure when they made the change, but it was a very easy process. Beware, though, they've incorporated a lot of online orders so if you order in person, it could be 20-25mins to get your sandwich when it doesn't seem like *that* many people are in the restaurant. Nonetheless, the menu is so cool. Pretty much an option for anyone. Relatively reasonably priced too. Highly recommend for a weekend breakfast or lunch if you've never been.

Phil B.

Yelp
Friends suggested here for brunch. Driven by many times, but never had the food. I placed an order on line as per some suggestions. Placed at 1030am. Said it would be ready 1120am. I was like wow that can't be right? So we went to a park down the road to wait on friends to arrive. In the mean time they texted about 11am and said they just got to BRipple Bagel and they were placing their order. About 1116 I got the text saying order was ready. So I asked the friends to grab ours when theirs was ready. This place must be super popular. 40 to 50 min to get 2 bagles and a full order of biscuits and gravy. I got the Tonya Harding ( it's a club ). Really big thick sandwich with lots of meat. It was too much for me to finish. The biscuits and gravy were good, but not the best I've ever had. Would I get it again... probably. Husband got the De La Wee. Bacon ,eggs and cheese. He was afraid it wouldn't be enough food but it was. Very happy our friends suggested this today.

Ally R.

Yelp
First timer at ripple bagel, I picked this place to grab sandwiches for the bridal party before my friends wedding and ordered online as most reviews say you have to wait a while. I wouldn't even bother going here without an online order unless you have a long time to wait. The website gives you an option to write each persons name but it's useless as the name doesn't even go to the staff. Thankfully he numbered our bagels so we could determine which bagel it was. The brown/blonde haired man working at the register was super friendly. However, the man making our bagels and the girl with the septum piercing would not stop freaking talking the entire time. Turning around to each other etc. Our order was not ready in time and they could have saved at least 5+ minutes if they weren't so distracted or at least talk while you work. I am a server and was surprised that nobody had any sense of urgency and the place was busy. They do a good job at covering the entire bagel. Most places you go it's only half covered or very dry. I will say you don't have to worry about that here at all. I would maybe eat here again if i was in the area and wanted a handheld sandwich. I wanted to give only 3 stars after our wait and the experience but I will give 4 because our order was correct.

Kyle S.

Yelp
I have tried approximately a dozen different sandwiches here and they are all amazing. Top 3 would be White Box, Adams Apple, and the Morning Mess. Recommend ordering online and coming in when they text you otherwise there is quite the wait. Along with their normal menu there is "The Wall" that has customer creations. This is a Saturday morning tradition for me at this point. Grab extra napkins, they get messy. Sooooo amazing though. 19AUG2022 had the Cardiac Ken. Slaps. They haven't missed yet.

Rachel G.

Yelp
I had one job... to find gravy and biscuits in Indy. Well I found a place that had things everyone would enjoy. Epic fail when I didn't check the hours. So we pull in they are closed. We passed Ripple on the way, so we voted and decided to take a chance. And tbh I am kinda glad the other place was closed. It was a tad overwhelming. But once I narrowed down what I wanted the Morning Mess was a no brained. I would add avocado. Your welcome! My biggest gripe is they are steamed and not toasted so no crunch. They also have gravy and biscuits so everyone was happy.

tom j.

Yelp
Really great selection. Small seating area inside maybe 20 people at most. But has a brisk business while we were there. Quick with our order and received it relatively quick compared to the orders they were taking.

Kristen P.

Yelp
love this place! the biscuits and gravy are awesome, as are any of the bagel breakfast sandwiches. cool vibe from staff and the space!

Lizz M.

Yelp
Finally decided to check this place out after plenty of people saying how great it was. Walked in and had no idea what was on the menu. I'm standing at the counter reading the menu, which I did not realize what you're supposed to do until you're ready to place your order. I have anxiety so when the guy was standing there, just watch him he asked me if I was ready. I just decided to order the first turkey sandwich that I saw and it was definitely not one that I would have chosen as a breakfast sandwich. I had no idea what their system was on how they place the bagels. There was a guy prepping some, and after I saw him place eight or so on the counter, I asked if those were an online order to which he mumbled something, and then pointed at the young lady, saying she was getting mine ready. I didn't realize the bagels weren't toasted or even cut in half which made us struggle in a bit messy to eat. But now that I know how their system works maybe I'll just try an online order so I can see the menu at my own pace, and I feel rushed to place my order. I didn't realize that they had iced coffee but on my way out I saw it by the front door along with a soda machine.

Nick B.

Yelp
A bright blue building topped with a giant bagel is easily noticeable along the main strip of Broad Ripple Ave. Walking in you see a giant chalkboard full of sandwich options to give you a NYC vibe. The sandwiches are broken down into several categories or if you're fee risky, there is a a lottery option which the employees will randomly make for you. They also have several sides like biscuits and gravy, soups, and several baked goods to go along with the sandwich. There is a small sitting area as well to dine in. They have started taking online orders which I would recommend to avoid the wait. The estimated wait was 40-45 minutes for the sandwich which seemed reasonable with only 3 staff members working a lunch shift. I ended up getting my order in about 20 minutes which was great! I got the Adam's apple which a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The bagel is loaded with topping and you'll feel full afterwards. The sandwich is steamed and stays warm and messy. Definitely will need a few napkins when eating it to control the delicious mess that will ensue.

David S.

Yelp
First time last week for breakfast. Order was ready on time and everything was as requested The right amount of ham, cheese to not overwhelm. The setting was just right for a quick easy breakfast

Ravi S.

Yelp
Is there a better way to start your day than with a warm bagel? My first time at @ripplebagelanddeli did not disappoint whatsoever. I ended up getting the morning mess and damnnnn did it slap. The chipotle cream cheese was a great touch and really added some spice depth to the bagel. One thing I recommend is ordering online as the wait times can really start getting up there even if you go right when it opens, but honestly, worth the wait! Morning mess

Michael M.

Yelp
Love this place every time we are in the area. Just be ready to wait a long time. We called in our custom order Sunday and it took almost 45 minutes! I think they prioritize ordering from menu first.

Ethan Z.

Yelp
I had never been here before but after seeing the reviews, how could I not go?! My friend and I went here on a Saturday morning a couple of weeks back and were not disappointed! It is right downtown BroadRipple and has street parking - usually abundant if you get there in the morning. I got the Egg-McMahon and it was amazing!!! The bagels are steamed (I think) and when it came out it was hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. If you haven't been before and like bagels - this is a MUST try. There was about a 30-45 minute wait but it was well worth it! While we waited we walked around to different shops in the area. The service was also very nice and the man at the register was very knowledgeable about the menu and their products. They also have GF options!

Stefanie S.

Yelp
Listen, this my go to place for quick breakfast sandwich. The Skeep is my go to and you cannot go wrong with chipotle mayo. I prefer to order online as the inside is pretty small and can get always waiting for your food. They do have limited seating, but it's first come first serve. It's a real casual vibe and the staff is cool.

Hannah J.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious! The wide variety of bagel sandwiches are so good. From breakfast type to a real lunch sandwich, all of it is delicious. It can take a bit of time when they are busy, so make sure to take that into account. The inside has several tables but can get full when really busy. Highly recommend this place!

Rachel W.

Yelp
I visited Ripple Bagel & Deli for the first time this weekend and had an amazing experience. There were so many different bagel sandwich options, and they all looked delicious. The store itself was fairly crowded and small, but the service was excellent which made up for it. I ordered the "Adam's Apple" bagel and it was only $8 and very filling. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend others pay this place a visit.

Sarah T.

Yelp
One of the best bagel shops in the Indy area! Absolutely loved how soft the steamed bagels were and how generous they were with the cream cheese. The spinach cream cheese was the tastiest spread in our order and a must try.

Tyler B.

Yelp
Way overpriced! It's better at Einsteins... and cheaper. My bacon was not cooked it looked like worms, and there was like no cream cheese. It was $9...

Adam G.

Yelp
I wanted to update my review, since the first time I went was during peak business hours (12ish on a Saturday). The food was great during that visit, but the large crowd of people made the experience overwhelming. Thus, I gave it another shot during an "off" time -- early afternoon during a week day. This time, I ordered the 'Smokin Joe' which comes with turkey, smoked cheddar, chipotle cream cheese and ground pepper on a plain bagel. It was absolutely delicious! It was loaded with chipotle cream cheese (my favorite part) and a bit messy, but that made it all the better. With how extensive the menu is, it got me wondering if anyone has tried all the different sandwich options...hmmm that would be a feat! Anyway, I'm a fan of Ripple Bagel Deli.

Lindsey T.

Yelp
I was super excited to find out that Ripple Bagel & Deli had gluten free bagels! So I definitely had to try them out. I called to see how they handled gluten allergies and they said they will put foil down in the steamer to prevent cross contamination so I was super happy about that. They also told me that any sandwich could be made gluten free! I decided to try the Dee-La-Wee which is a bacon egg and cheese on a gluten free plain bagel. It was GREAT! They also have gluten free everything bagels. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Lissa K.

Yelp
Great bagels just extremely slow. Hopefully it's not because we didn't tip prior to the meal and because they are busy. No line and still took 20 min for one bagel. Crazy! Ended up not leaving the cash tip because of wait. But very good food.

Bella R.

Yelp
Amazing. Stunning. Never disappointing. Staff is always super friendly. Endless options for any bagel sandwich you could ever want. Cool vibe in the shop. Sandwiches are steamed, not toasted, so they're soft and delicious. A must try.

Brittany F.

Yelp
This was recommended to me before moving to Indianapolis as it's a staple in Broad Ripple. It's hard to miss driving down Broad Ripple Ave with the bright blue storefront. Inside the menu is on the chalkboard and is MASSIVE, but they help by breaking it all into categories like Breakfast, by meat, and veggie. The Morning Mess is delicious. I wanted to try something new and got the Hot Roxie. I liked this but it was a little dry, probably wouldn't get this one again. Lucky enough for me there are plenty of options to choose from! They offer online order & pickup. We walked in and ordered and it took about 15min to get our bagels with 1 person in front of us, but there were a lot of online orders understandably on a Saturday morning.

Kelly G.

Yelp
It's so hard to find a gluten free bagel so when I saw it on the menu, I did a happy dance! I went basic with the bacon, egg and cheese but it was loaded and plenty of food loaded with flavor! I recommend ordering online. Inside is rather small but they are on top of carry out orders. I can't wait to try another option!

Amanda G.

Yelp
So. Many. Options. The menu can be overwhelming but luckily you can make any choice and be in a good spot. When I'm in the mood for a steamed sandwich, this place is perfection.

Rachael J.

Yelp
BAGELS BAGELS BAGELS! An unassuming little spot on the broad ripple strip where the steamed bagel options are endless. Don't sleep on this place thinking it's only for breakfast because there are a ton of non breakfast sandwiches that are delicious. This trip around was a lunch round for us, but if you are getting breakfast The Morning Mess cannot be beat. It's the chipotle cream cheese that takes it from good to great. Boilermaker, Franks and the Reuben. Boilermaker I think could benefit from some of that chipotle cream cheese to add a zip. Franks is a roast beef sandwich, lots of fresh onions! The reuben needed a kick too- maybe a bit more sourness from the kraut. The great part about this place is you can always try something new. There is also an option to order called "the lottery" and they just make you a sandwich with whatever they choose in it, fun!

Samantha R.

Yelp
I love Ripple Bagel and Deli! I am new to Indianapolis, and this has become my go-to place. My friends and I go every Sunday for brunch. The bagel shop features a cute retro aesthetic and has as many bagel sandwich options as you could ever want, including a make-your-own option. Whether we get to-go or dine in, we have the best experience. I've tried several different options so far, but my favorite was what I got this past Sunday. I ordered a sesame bagel (not-toasted) with cream cheese, lox, cucumbers and avocado. My friends always get the "Mr Turkey" bagel sandwiches, which they really enjoy. Since all the food is so amazing, there is usually a bit of a wait. My friends and I either order ahead through their easy-to-use website and pick it up or order in person and walk around Broad Ripple until our bagels are ready. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
