Mon Ami to Open All-You-Can-Eat Korean Barbecue Restaurant in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"The popular Plateau ice-creamery Ripples has opened a second location on Jeanne-Mance Street a few steps north of St-Viateur, serving classic French vanilla, soft-serve, sorbet, and other frozen treats." - Tim Forster

Innovative and eclectic ice cream store in Mile End. They have classic flavors but also things you can't get anywhere else like halavah, rose with candied fennel, and cardamom and pistachio (kulfi). The regular flavors are great too! A small is only $4.25 and it's a generous portion for one person. The service is friendly. There is limited seating inside and a few benches outside. The best idea is get some ice cream and explore the amazing neighborhood.

Crowd pleasing classic ice-cream happily provided in generous quantity for the price. I can't say the flavors are out of this world compared to local competitors but they provide the right unpretentious taste for younger audiences looking for a rewarding treat rather than experienced foodies looking to have their taste buds taken on a journey. It hits the spot if you're nearby with a craving.

Can’t rave enough about how good this ice cream is! My personal favorite being a coconut strawberry milkshake and any flavor of the frozen yogurts 😍 Can’t wait to try the Chocolate 6X that everyone talks about! Staff is so friendly and welcoming and know every flavor, great for recommending unique combos and top sellers!

Great ice cream options, I love the take away ice cream sandwiches they make too. There’s rarely a wait and the staff have always been friendly and quick. I rather come here than other ice cream places nearby because it’s made in house and you don’t have to wait forever to be served. Plus they have a stamp card program where your 10th ice cream is free!

I’m writing to express my disappointment regarding an experience my friends and I had at your establishment. According to your posted hours, the location closes at 9:00 PM. However, when we arrived at 9:51 PM, the server was still actively preparing and serving ice cream to multiple customers. Despite this, we were turned away and told the store had closed at 9:30 PM—an explanation that not only contradicts your publicly listed hours, but was also clearly inconsistent with what we were witnessing in real time. The ice cream machine was still running, and several people were being served right in front of us. Had the store genuinely been closed and in the process of shutting down, we would have completely understood and respected that. What was frustrating was being denied service while others were still being accommodated without explanation beyond an arbitrary and unlisted closing time. Situations like this create confusion, appear discriminatory, and reflect poorly on the integrity of the service. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and ensure your hours are clearly communicated and upheld with consistency and fairness.

This place is a nice little finding. The detour is worth it. It's a local business, not a big chain, and it shows. Unique flavors and great service. You can feel that the ice cream maker put passion in their craft. I thoroughly recommend. Not a lot of room inside to chill and eat (especially with the rain these days) but then again, it's an icecream parlor, not a restaurant.

Excellent flavour of ice cream and a nice owner with great service. You can have a taste of each selection before asking for a scoop.I will visit this place again.

I did not understand all the positive reviews… the ice-cream is quite ordinary. My lemon sorbet was icy and tasted very industrial. For the best ice-cream in Montreal, walk south one block to Kem Coba.
