Smoked wings were awesome, could taste it all the way through even with buffalo sauce. The nachos were huge and very filling but good flavor. Service was hit or miss, depending where you sit you have to put your order in with bar. That wasn't so much an issue but no one came around for a long while to clear anything away. To be fair it seemed like smaller staff and they were doing a good job. The food did come out exceptionally fast. The live band they had was very fun and entertaining. Played literally anything you requested. Obviously this changes day to day but when we were there it was very enjoyable.

I stopped here for lunch and it did not disappoint. Two floors with two different bands, I went upstairs and the band that was playing was great. Had a local beer, pulled pork wrap and some delicious corn bread muffins as add-ons. The food was delicious, the fries were really crispy and tasted great, there was some sort of dusting on it that gave them the extra kick. Lots of meat in the wrap. The place was busy but service was great and quick nonetheless. Definitely a good spot for a bite and some great music.

Google
the drinks were great and food well priced; we split a $30 sampler platter between three people. had a good variety of meats + peppers, pickles, onion rings, cheese etc. but the band was the best part, very lively and full of energy. did a fantastic job at keeping the crowd hyped.

Google
One of the many C&W live music bars on Broadway, with a different band playing on every floor. We ate in the main restaurant/ eating area. Food was tasty and came quickly. My Son said that they were probably the best ribs that he’d ever tasted! Music whilst we were eating there wasn’t great as the singer was out of tune most of the time.

Google
I wanted something crispy and filling and the pulled pork nachos did not disappoint. Great service and even better atmosphere. The band that night was tight and had people dancing! Good times.

Google
Excellent ribs!!! Ordered two half racks, and one full rack. Dry rub and wet as a finishing touch and these ribs were fall off the bone tender!!! Absolutely Delicious!!! The girls and I split the Banana pudding and we liked it very much. Service was quick and friendly and the band playing was Good. Definitely stopping for Rippy’s ribs while back in town. Thank You.

We were there around lunchtime & didn't see what it was like at night. I feel like this can make a huge difference on Broadway for a lot of factors. To order food you have to go to the bar and order & you need to do the same to pay. The food will be brought to your table, though. That was the only reason that the service did not earn 5 stars for me. There is just less service offered if you aren't sitting at the bar. We were just two of us at a table, and maybe this is different at a booth. I had the pulled pork sandwich and a "Broadway Lemonade." The sandwich was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. It's definitely an excellent sandwich, in my opinion. The "Broadway Lemonade" was the perfect drink for a hot Tennessee day. It was as sour as I had hoped it would be, and it perfectly masked the taste of any alcohol, just like I prefer. My son had the pulled pork wrap and was super impressed with how juicy & flavorful it was. While not bad, the mac & cheese was pretty standard and unremarkable, as were the onion rings. They had live music and I thought they were very good and quite entertaining without being so loud that it made conversation difficult. I wish I remembered their name to mention them here, but I just can't recall. They occasionally came around with a tip jar or hat looking for song requests. So, get some cash ready and have a song in mind. This makes the music even more enjoyable, in my opinion. While not perfect, I felt like this place still deserves a 5 star rating because overall, it still offers a wonderful experience. I will be among our fonder memories of our visit to Nashville.

Google
Great bar! Love the spray tan drink with Titos. Clean resteraunt and restrooms. Friendly service.

Yelp
A packed house on a Thursday night with excellent service and great food. We loved the pulled pork, pulled chicken, onion rings, and cornbread. The bands were loud, but were still able to enjoy some conversation with our meal.

Yelp
Worst service. One bartender on a Saturday afternoon. Table service took 45 minutes so went to the bar and it took another 25 minutes with one bartender. I work in service, it is unacceptable and the classic bar should be "refreshed" in the Nashville way (service / crowds) The table server was also rude. However, I believe this is all due to understaffing and I would be rude and slow if I as understaffed. Honestly. So I don't hold It against staff but management. Figure out a better way to stay alive. Because to me. This bar will be closed soon.

Yelp
This place is fun. Went here on a Sunday for lunch and it was busy. Band had a lot of energy and really got the crowd involved. Line dancing ensued. Weather was perfect so the windows were open. Food was really good. I went with the dry 3/4 slab of ribs, fries, and cole slaw. All really good. I ate it all. My colleague had the rib wrap. Really nice portion sizes.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for live music and this place was really cool! I stopped in for a round of drinks, while bar hopping with friends, and we sat at the bar. All the windows of the bar were opened, so you could hear the hustle and bustle that is Broadway. Several of my girls also ordered food from the bar and it looked good! This is a cool spot to hang out for a drink while experiencing all that Broadway has to offer!

Yelp
Our first stop on the Nashville strip. We ate and listened to music upstairs. We had the sampler platter, drinks and shots. The best things - the ribs and the pulled pork. I love onion rings...theirs are average. Our shots were generously poured. Our server checked in regularly and gave recommendations about the platter. This place is on the corner and from the 2nd floor has a good view of Broadway.

Yelp
Great place! Good food. Had a bad experience with the bouncer though. I didn't think I should give this place a bad rating for a bad bouncer. Enjoyed the music. So awesome.

Lauren O.

Yelp
Packed on a Saturday around noon--great live music and a great selection of drinks. We did not have any food but everything looked great--especially the onion rings!! Only a couple bartenders working but amazing service from each of them!!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick drink. Seemed more mellow than the other honky tonks. Service was ok. Loud music, but that is expected. I would like to return to try their food.

Yelp
Stopped in here after a concert at Bridgestone. Was able to grab a drink and bite. Music was excellent, food was "medium". Decently priced, service wasn't bad, but an effort to get to the bar to order and get a second round. Had the brisket nachos.

Yelp
This place is very lively. Sat down fairly quickly. It looked packed but there was a table we found! Service was great. The cornbread muffins were delicious and moist! Perfect flavor. Omg, the smoked pulled pork sandwich. So yummy! I enjoyed every bite. Meat was tender. Bread was soft. Added bbq sauce that was readily available on our table. Coleslaw was good too. Crispy, creamy and cold! Brownie was a disappointment. Not sure if they were going for the fudgey texture but to me it was undercooked. We should have returned it. Overall, it was a great dining experience. I'm craving the pulled pork sandwich again!

Yelp
11/16/23: My first state of Nashville and what a delight. I'm not normally a meat eater by choice but I have to say the rib wrap was delicious. So much flavor, my tongue was in BBQ heaven. Another spot on the strip with live music. Our wait staff was great, knowledgeable, friendly and constantly checked on us. Various folks got up to dance when they did Tennessee Whiskey. Drink was strong. Definitely good time had by all!

Yelp
I was looking through many reviews for bbq and this one was close to where I was staying - I'm glad I chose this place. It is open seating so I found a lone spot on the 2nd level bar and was greeted by the bartender [Scarlet]. Drinks were brought promptly and my food order was in. The band playing were pretty good and interactive with the audience, very entertaining. The food came out shortly and there was a mistake on one of the meat choices but was quickly taken care of. I had the smoked sausages and chicken wings with Mac and cheese and coleslaw. The smoked sausages brought a bit of nostalgia when I tasted it. I really liked the flavor. The wings were also really good. The dry rub was flavorful and the wings were juicy. The mad & cheese were ok, it had really cheddar flavor but was quite runny. The coleslaw. It was creamy and just hit with good flavor. All these element make for the perfect bar food. I liked everything so much that I came back the next night and enjoyed the experience all over again. If you're in Broadway street, stop into this place for some good drinks, good food and some good music. Njoy!

Yelp
I wouldn't go here if my life depended on it. Terrible service and it's a dump. They're part of some sort of chain I guess.

Yelp
There's a thousand and one places to choose from when looking for food and live music in Nashville. To be honest the band playing at Ripply's singing Suspicious Minds by Elvis is what got me in the door. (shout out to the Tim Adrew's Band) I chose to get the pick two and got the pulled pork with smoked wings and they hit the spot! Great bbq and great vibes at this joint through and through.

Yelp
I stopped in at Rippy's recently after arriving to the Broadway area a couple hours early (prior to a show at The Ryman). I first visited a neighboring establishment where I had a $5 happy hour brew on tap. I planned on staying there, but their rooftop was closed for a private event and it was crowded without a view on the lower level. So I stepped into Rippy's and found a spot in the enclosed rooftop upper level. The food menu here is more extensive than the other spot, so that was a plus as well. The food here is a mixture of BBQ and standard pub fare. I went with just an order of chips, salsa, and queso. A heaping basket of chips arrived and they (plus the salsa and queso) were solid/serviceable. $10 seemed fair given the location and all. I had really friendly service and the band playing covers weren't bad. I guess my main disappointment was just the price of drinks-- the place I literally just left before arriving here in the same hour was offering $5 draft beers and $10 cocktails. Rippy's was double that (and shots of well drinks were $14!). That said, you're going to pay that at most of the establishments in the touristcentric Broadway area so I'm still giving these folks a solid "3" for good/okay+. If you're on Broadway and want some wings, BBQ, a drink or two, and a good view of the area while a band plays there are far worse options than Rippy's.

Yelp
When walking along Broadway, my group decided to stop by Rippy's for lunch. The main floor was completely full, but fortunately there was more than enough room upstairs. We were able to sit near the band playing, so we had live music to enjoy during our meal. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with onion rings and the sandwich itself was huge. All the portion sizes were large and none of us were able to finish the meal. The atmosphere was great and if you want to have some bbq on Broadway, definitely come to Rippy's!
google avatar

Lisa N.

Yelp
Not bad for Broadway dinner! We got the ribs and they hit the spot. Only minor heads up- it's still honky tonk Capitol and a bar- so sticky floors and being in the presence of other bar patrons is a given. In our case... an interesting people watching of a group of ten men celebrating... bachelor party? Maybe? Haha- but you can hear the live music as you dine on BBQ. And a extra shout-out to our server for her honesty. We would've orders the collard greens- she outright said no, wouldn't recommend. So we just stuck to mac and cheese and beans.

Yelp
Hey fellow foodies! I recently visited a restaurant in the heart of Nashville that left quite an impression on me. Let me give you the lowdown on my experience. First things first, let's talk about the star of the show--the meats. Oh my goodness, it was absolutely amazing! The tenderness of the meat was beyond compare. It practically melted in my mouth, and I couldn't help but savor every bite. It was so tender that it fell right off the bone. If you're a meat lover, this is the place to be! However, while the meat stole the spotlight, I have to be honest about the sides. They didn't quite live up to my expectations. Although they were decent, they didn't complement the meat as well as I hoped. Perhaps they needed a bit more flavor or creativity to match the succulence of the main dish. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad, just not my cup of tea. Moving on to the drinks, let's talk margaritas. Now, I have a bit of a sweet tooth, but these margaritas were a tad too sugary for my liking. They lacked a balanced flavor profile and left me craving for a more refreshing and tangy kick. But hey, taste preferences can vary, so if you have a sweet tooth, you might actually enjoy them a lot! The ambiance of the place was fantastic! The restaurant was bustling with energy, thanks to the live band playing some great tunes. It really added to the overall experience, creating an atmosphere that made me want to stay for hours. The service was top-notch too. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure our dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish. In conclusion, if you find yourself in Nashville and crave some mouthwatering meat, this place is a must-visit. Despite the sides not hitting the mark and the sugary margaritas, the fantastic meat, lively atmosphere, and excellent service make it a great spot to enjoy a memorable meal with friends or family. Give it a try, and I'm sure you'll have a delightful time!

Yelp
Believe it or not! Rippy's is amazing. Best ribs in town, service was spot on, atmosphere was fun, energetic. Live music. This place delivers on a place to be at. Well done Rippy's! 5 stars Warning: if you don't like great food, tasty drinks and having fun, this place in not for you.

Yelp
This is a bar, the decor is a country bar, load music. The menu is southern style bar food. I ordered the pulled pork and fries and my wife ordered the southern wrap and sweet potatoes fries. The staff was really busy but the we're polite and attentive. Wow, I was impressed with the food it was really good.

Yelp
I am in Nashville to work an event. Outside. The heat is killer, my heels are bleeding. I just need a quick break and drink. Enter my server Channing. ( yes like Tatum) She took time to talk to me and went and got me bandaids to fix my blisters. Completely unnecessary but so kind. She made me feel like the only customer in a busy bar. And tho she took the time to help me, my tequila shot was not slow. I'll revisit with happy thoughts!

Yelp
We came here to eat before we got the night going. This place was pretty full but were still fortunate enough to get a table towards the back. The service was great. They were friendly and the food came out very quick. The live music was also great. My wife ordered their their Southern BBQ Nachos which came with smoked pulled pork, queso, bbq sauce, jalapeños, tomatoes, and sour cream. I ordered their wet half slab of ribs. It came with cornbread and I ordered it with Mac & cheese, potato salad. Both the nachos and the ribs were actually pretty good. We got full and we're struggling to finish the nachos. I can definitely see myself returning for their live music, not sure I would eat here again though.

Yelp
We came here for bite while checking out all the bars during the day! Th food did not disappoint at all! Really good smoked wings and the mac and potato salad were also delish!! They also gave me a free Jell-O shot for my birthday!! Our server was awesome and attentive!

Yelp
Stopped in to listen to the fantastic music emanating from the venue. Drinks were cheap and uninspiring. There was really no seating, as the place was packed. No where to sit, and people all over the place. Did I say the music was fantastic?

Yelp
Great band, ambiance, music, beer selection. Great place to hear tunes and a good bar selection.

Yelp
Literally the best ribs my husband and I ever had . We ordered the perfectly seasoned dry rub and the ribs were fall off the bone tender with zero fat - we also ordered the beans (with added shredded cheese) macaroni & cheese , & coleslaw - they came with a pierce of cornbread. Macaroni & cheese was creamy and cheesey, beans were nicely seasoned ( we added bbq sauce which made them extra delicious) coleslaw tasted like it had a hint of dill and was creamy without being too mayonnaisey . Ribs were so good we went back the next day and they were on point second day . Hubby also ordered the sausage , cheese & peppercini app . Sausage smoked and cooked perfectly . Added bonus were the handmade margaritas- we order margaritas a lot of places and the one there was one top notch - added bonus was the live music . Would absolutely recommend Rippy's!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and music, but the drinks, might as well be a shot glass. Very small cups lots of ice!
google avatar

Whitney H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Loud, live music played by local bands. Crowds can get a little wild at times. Especially when there's dancing involved . Poor service at the bar though. Takes forever to flag down a bartender. They're usually on their phones. Drinks and food are decent. My husband had wings here and really enjoyed them. The bathrooms are reasonably clean and well lit.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid 3.5 stars... for the live music and late night food!... it was hard to find a place still serving food after 9pm .... Stopped by here and enjoyed live music and it not crazy crowded like other places... ordered the rib meat wrap and fried pickles! Service was fast ... There are 2 different bands ... downstairs and upstairs

Yelp
8pm on a Wednesday. Pulled chicken with the BBQ sauce they have on the bar/tables is delish!!! Bartender was good but seriously overworked so it was slow. Live music was decent, not to die for. Cute place though!

Les F.

Yelp
The BBQ was great, the music was great, the ambiance was great. Small bar stool you can see the musicians up close.

Rich H.

Yelp
Rippy's has wonderful Ribs. The bartender in the sports bar area was a top notch server. However the lovely little bartender on the first floor felt her texting (see picture) was more important than customer service. We watched 4 customers walk away from the bar unserved as she texted. There are too many choices on Broadway to ignore customers. Really to bad. We will get takeout ribs and drink and listen to music down the street. Also...guys, fix your bathroom!

sal V.

Yelp
Good local beers and I enjoyed the live music and also being able to watch the football games. The ribs were good (not great) but the smoked wings were outstanding. I also had the 1/2 smoked chicken which was flavorful and cooked perfectly.

Yelp
I've never been to Nashville before, so this is my first time here! The ambience is crazy busy haha the fam i went with said it wasn't this crazy in November! I'm here in April, and there's just so many people! So lively! Everyone loved their food! The pulled pork wrap was delicious! My aunt literally made us go here just for the wrap ! Mac and cheese is good Baked beans... good Ribs were yummy! Everyone was happy!

Julia B.

Yelp
The food was so good. We got Fried pickles (not pictured) and the Chicken Chili nachos and everything was so good. The bbq pulled chicken was so good and the chili was very good. The live music was very loud but to be expected eating on Broadway. The band was so good and the vibes were there. The two bartenders were so nice and very attentive. Got a vodka red bull and it was very good. Definitely will come back here!!
google avatar

Don C.

Yelp
First time stopping here and have to say the food was plentiful and delicious. Ordered a full rack of ribs and it came with 2 sides and a biscuit. Also ordered the banana pudding and was quite impressed. Only drawback on this place is the live bands they have going are ear blistering loud while trying to eat. Server was awesome though, how she heard anything thru the noise amazes me. Highly recommend

Jim S.

Yelp
The ribs are awesome! You order and Bingo! Boom your food is there. From cocktails to company, we really enjoyed our time here. Food was so good! We had round two which were the Mango Habanero Wings. Yeah buddy! They were better than a slobbery, druken, 21 year old on Broadway. Live music on every level! Sports on the tube. Short walk to the Predators game through drunken town. Muffins showing and hanging out; no bakery nearby. Or, are those peaches? Service was great! Stephanie rocked and took care of us and those around we shared shots with. Keep her happy! She's a keeper! Hell, we stumbled out, bought boots, and danced at Ole Reds. We had more drinks and more fun! Rippy's is the bomb! First time in Nashville. If were back, we will see you again. Trust me! #irishcatv2 #Rippy's #nashville

Yelp
I kinda like this place - very laidback and chill. You can really enjoy yourself, grab a bite or drink, or just listen to the music, no pressure.
google avatar

Neel G.

Yelp
I just ordered a Bloody Mary and it came in a plastic cup. That wasn't the bad part. Not even an olive, celery stick or lemon. At least the live music is good. I'll just order a beer next time.
google avatar

Jayde K.

Yelp
It's a typical bar with live music. Seat yourself and the waitress will come over to your table to see what you would like to order. I ordered the southern wrap with sweet potato fries and it was great.
google avatar

Steven B.

Yelp
Great food! great Service! Great bands! All three times we spent an evening at Rippy's, Layla V. was our server! We ask for her every single time we walk into the restaurant! The ribs are phenomenal, the service is 2nd to none and the prices are very fair for the touristy trap area! We will be back again and again!
google avatar

Breck F.

Yelp
Super awesome place to drop in if you're on Broadway in Nashville. Grab a Hap and Harry's and enjoy the casual ambiance. Excellent bands were frequenting this establishment when we were there. Also, my wife had a pb&j shot which was highly unique. Staff here was absolutely awesome - I wore an Arsenal EPL kit and one of the server's explained Nashville has a local club for Arsenal. But I digress, I would drop back in here in a moment when I'm in the downtown Nashville area. And the BBQ ribs are absolutely amazing. Highly recommended these !!
google avatar

Dede C.

Yelp
This is one of the more reasonably priced places in the honky tonk highway. We stepped in here to grab a quick bite for lunch and ended up staying a few hours. Thee band was pretty good - about 8 out of 10- but the fiddle player was 10/10. The pork sandwich is enough for two people so glad we split a meal. Had a few beers and enjoyed the ambiance of this corner bar. Worth a stop for sure.

Yelp
Went into this place on a complete whim because I was in Downtown Nashville and needed some food. I love ribs and this place literally says ribs right on the side of the building so I went in. Sometimes it is just that easy. The vibe on the inside was...not necessarily my scene. I went to a lot of bars, dives, and restaurants while in Nashville and this one is very...Nashville-y. A lot of country and country/Southern rock music was playing. I can't complain about live music though...especially when we went upstairs and a different band was playing (found out this was common for Nashville). The server was nice enough but gave off the impression and that he just wanted to turn tables. He also at the end of the meal offered to run two cards for my party "super simple to just split it down the middle". Turns out the simple, split down the middle of the two cards came with a $5 service charge on both bills. Didn't tell us this was happening and don't like surprises on my check. That being said, I loved the food. I didn't get to make it to Memphis to try legit Memphis style BBQ ribs but these seemed to be in the style of. Good dry rub and the ribs were cooked perfectly. The menu said we could order them wet as well so we decided to order a rack of both for the table. When we told the server that we wanted to have one of each he tried to talk us out of the wet and said "it is is just the sauce on the table but glazed on the ribs". We did it anyway and even though I did think the dry rub was better the wet was good if you are dry averse. All the sides were fantastic. Got the turnip greens, onion rings, potato salad, and coleslaw. I would order all of them again and ate all of them up with my group. The cornbread on the side was pretty lackluster but pretty small negative for the meal. This place also introduced me to the wonderful drink combination that is whiskey and lemonade. I will forever cherish this place for that.

Yelp
Table for 4 for lunch We were just starting to explore Downtown Nashville and everyone was getting pretty hungry.  We were originally going to head to another restaurant, but Rippy's caught our eye. It is located right at the beginning of all the action on Broadway. We walked in without a reservation.  The restaurant had a very welcoming casual vibe.  We strolled around the lower level and decided to go upstairs where they had a very open feel with some large windows.   Even though it was freezing outside they had some heaters up there that made it comfortable.  Keeping with the laid-back feel, we snagged our own seats - opting for a high table near the center, not too far from the bar and the band on stage. Our server came by pretty quickly to check on use.  We needed some more time and she brought over some more menus for our party of 4.  Wifey and I ordered a couple of local beers and the girls ordered some lemonade and sweet tea  respectively. As the drinks landed, we nailed down our food choices. Three of us went for the Half Rack of Baby Back Ribs, each with our choice of two sides and a cornbread muffin.  My oldest ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich meal. While waiting for our food, we enjoyed the live band's performance - talented and hilariously interactive with the audience. Rippy's  also had TVs everywhere so you could follow the football games.  Our food hit the table pretty quickly, and we all absolutely loved it. My highlights were the baked beans, the Ribs (falling off the Bone)  and the Onion rings and Fries I snatched off my daughters plates.  My oldest said she would have liked some cheese or sauce on the pulled pork sandwich, but overall she enjoyed it.  That was the only slightly negative comment, but in my book, Rippy's is a winner, and I definitely recommend it to anyone on Broadway.

Jerilyn H.

Yelp
This was our first time in Nashville and the experience at this venue was terrible. The bartender was rude and disrespectful. I would not visit this location again or recommend anyone to entertain this venue.

Yelp
This place brags it's the best BBQ on Broadway, and it was good but not great. I liked the music & our waitress was great.

Karen R.

Yelp
Went there the on Friday, great band with a good mix of music. We had the big sampler and everything was delicious. Also had the banana pudding and Brownie for dessert. Service was spot on and we will be sure to come here next time we are in Nashville.
