Let me paint the scene: it’s 7:47 am on the 4th of July. You roll out with your wife, friend and his girlfriend on the way to East Matunuck Beach. Your buddy looks at you and asks “How many beers you got?” The answer…not enough. Oh no, it’s the 4th of July, no liquor store is open this early…False. Rippys is there for you. I’ve read reviews that say “If this place doesn’t have it, you don’t need it.” After entering that store I’ve never heard a more true statement. Every beer, wine, whiskey you can imagine. Breakfast sandwiches ready to go. Friendly checkout girl wishing you a great day. Can’t say enough about this place. Go rip Rippys and let it rip!

After working a 10.5 hour shift I was really looking forward towards eating a Rippys pizza. I was told 30 min so I decided to go straight there so I made it in 20 min. I told the guy at the register I was early but I ordered a pizza and gave him my name. He said they where checking some now. Well after 45 min in total I still had no pizza. I left told them to keep the pizza. That is ridiculous waiting 45 min I was upset and hungry. I called my husband I was coming home with NO pizza.You don’t want to know the response. So sad.

This place is a gem! Used to live right near it and it has everything you could ever need in a pinch. Now, when I'm in the area I make it a point to stop by. Their pizza is also super underrated and they sell it by the slice too, which is super convenient since there is no fast food around.

Ordered 3 subs. Got there and was told they didnt sell 2 of what was ordered. So we pick something off the menu after waiting, then find HAIR in one of the subs. This is NOT the first time finding hair in the food, but will be the last time giving them a chance.

As life would have it, I was so very involved with my chores and weekend details that I lost track of time. This was one of the few local "package stores" open after 6 pm on a Sunday. There was ample parking and the staff was very friendly and pleasant. I was able to acquire the beer I wanted to reward myself with for my labors and ended my weekend quite happily thanks to Rippy's! I will return just to sample some of the apparently delicious food behind the deli counter.

Honey, Steve and I each had a large wonderful Italian sandwich, that where wonderful. Very full of meats and vegetables and fresh!!

Rippy's is a great convenient place when you only need to get a few things. They sell alcohol as well so you don't have to take an extra stop at the liquor store. Their warm spinach pies were outstanding. The best spinach pies ever!

I love coming to this store. I’m here at least once a week. They have everything! The food is excellent. I get the egg rolls. Yum. 🤤 The wine selection is excellent, and there are some great deals. Stop in for lunch! They have an extensive menu. You can’t go wrong with a grinder or pizza… it’s all delicious! They have a few picnic tables for a quick outdoor lunch. The folks who work here are always willing to chat it up with me, and overall Rippy’s has an awesome friendly local vibe. I’ll be a frequent customer for the indefinite future. 5 stars all the way.

Really good pizza. Sounds weird that a place like this would but they do. But the sauce was great, and even the cheese was good. Slightly expensive, as a 20oz sida and a slice was $6. Friendly people.

I used to love this place for the slices of pizza they offer, but lately it's become quite a pain in the ass to actually get a slice to buy. If you want a slice now, you have to get in line and ask for a paper plate. Once you get your slice, you have to get in line again to pay for it. Which can be frustrating if the line is long and there's only one cashier working the registers. I guess all the Trumpers who frequent this place take half a dozen plates for their slice, instead of just one, because the plates are so flimsy and the pepperoni slices can be quite greasy. Hey owners, buy a better quality paper plate and maybe people won't do this.

It's Rippys. The best. Full selection of beer and liquor. Convenient. I bought my son a T-shirt from there. Rippys.

Great local market with a vast variety of all that I need. The slow roasted ribs are out of this world!!

Great eclectic market for all your basic needs, from soup to sangria! Great selection of various hard liquors, wines, and beers. My wife and I order superb subs, fresh pizza, and meals to go.

Best takeout-style pizza in South County. Deli and prepared foods available as well, plus a convenience store/liquor store/market...I don't know why we don't have stores like this all over the state but we should.

I don't know why I didn't review this place sooner, since we were staying in Charlestown for a week in October of 2022. We went to Rippy's at least 4 times! Twice for sandwiches, once for pizza, and once for other groceries/supplies. Do you need firewood? Got it! The makings of dinner? Yup, they've got some fresh vegetables and meats, take & bake bread, a surprisingly good selection of wine and liquor. Oh, you forgot parchment paper for your cookie sheet? Surprise, they've got it! You want to grab a tasty sandwich or really good pizza? Rippy's is your place. Such a great find.

Small local grocery store that also sells alcohol. Prices are very reasonable compared to alternatives in the area. Their pizza by the slice to go is also surprisingly very good.

Bread butter and Bacchus Rippy's is a quaint little, old fashion market with a surprisingly lot of stuff crammed into it. Especially since almost half the store is load up with booze. Nothing really exotic or snooty but an ample supply of all the usual intoxicants and hootch. Beside the booze, Rippy's has a nice deli where you can get a sandwich, pizza or salad and at various time some nice muffins or pies are available. Not a huge number of choices but enough to satisfy. The usually small market items like eggs, butter, newspapers, ring dings, movies, bug repellent, soap, rutabagas and toilet cleaner are displayed but of course you have to expect to pay a bit more than in the mega markets. The folks working here are always friendly in a sincere and honest way and Rippy's is a cool place to start up a conversation with one of the locals if you need directions, information or just want to shoot the breeze. Not a big store and certainly not a new store, but a cool place to pick up some rutabaga, toilet cleaner, treats or spirits to hail Bacchus.

I shop at Rippy's because they fufill my Hierarchy of Needs: Physiological (beer, good sandwiches) Safety (I'm not afraid of getting clawed me to death with someone's acrylic nails) Belongingness/Love (I love you guys because you don't want to claw me to death with acrylic nails, nor do you wear them) Esteem Needs (I feel I've met my full potential there as a shopper); Self-Actualization (beer).

Honestly went in the place not expecting a lot, but we were pleasantly surprised with the delicious sandwiches me and my friend bought. Turkey club and chicken pesto sandwich were both outstanding. Perfect bread to sandwich ratio and toasted to perfection. Our new go to sandwich shop after a long day at the beach. Service was great and very friendly atmosphere.

Rippys, you tend to rock! I will always love this place. ALWAYS! When I was a wee teenager, just learning how to drive, my momma used to make me come here to grab that gallon of milk & a loaf of bread. As the years past by, I grew older and couldn't wait to be able to buy beers here! In RI there aren't many places that you can get a cake mix, a grinder to go a movie rental and a 6 pack in 1 stop shopping!!! Pretty good selection for getting your drink on little bit of everything

Small town store, fine wine and liquor shop, social hub, deli counter and milling around spot for the quiet part of Charlestown. Filled up with a bunch of the friendliest people you ever want to meet, there's a lot more going on behind that well worn patina than you'd ever guess from out front. Indispensable.

As the other reviews stated, you can get your average selection of booze here, munchies, sundries, and a small selection of groceries. You can also hit up the little deli which makes sandwiches, salads, and also has a hot bar of mostly fried food. Now normally I don't really write about places like this, but I was recently surprised when I went in to look around for my dinner. I was originally planning on cooking something, but alas I suddenly wanted a salad so I placed an order for a large house salad with chicken . I was expecting it to be you average house salad. Nothing spectacular, just a heap of lettuce, chicken, and a tomato slice here and there. I was mistaken! I received a two pound monster of a salad, with olives, pickles, yellow peppers, mushrooms, lightly breaded chicken, and what appeared to be one whole tomato sliced up and neatly surrounding the perimeter of the box. So yes, I was exceptionally pleased by my behemoth of a salad!

Awesome grinders. Perfect place to call ahead and have your sandwich ready! Beer, liquor, pre-made food and groceries I wish all places in Rhode Island were like this. But that's what makes it unique. Special place, thankful that the food is really good. Great place to stop for a beach sandwich.

This is my favorite local store. The sell everything from liquor, tobacco, groceries,full deli including grinders,pizza and hot case food, they also have daily specials. On top of all that they sell propane. They also have a friendly helpful staff.

Rippys is my go to for propane, at 8.99$ for a 20 lb tank fill its a great deal, go and try 1 of their awesome homemade grinders. Can't go wrong here.

A Mirage in the vastness that is Charlestown. You have to drive 15 minutes to get to a pharmacy, BUT Rippy's was always there, 5 minutes away with greasy giant pizzas and beer. Can't beat it!

Need beer? Rippy's got it. Need grinders? Fishing tackle? Groceries? Pong balls? Ice cream treats? Videos? Got that too. This has a true country store feel to it, as you can probably get most anything you really need. I've only stopped in for beer, but enjoy looking at all the other stuff they have.

Great place for randoms. Great beer, wine and liquor selections. The place smells like old oil but I think that the only down side
