15 Options for Takeout and Delivery In Prince George’s County | Eater DC

"Family meals to-go are available at this old-school, roadside restaurant. Favorites include Maryland fried chicken, baby back ribs, and chicken Parmesan. There’s also a liquor store next-door where customers can pick up wine, beer, and spirits, including local Cotton & Reed rum." - Tim Ebner

Some of the best real cooking around!🤩 Perfectly cooked broiled salmon filet w fresh herbal seasoned cooked spinach over rice. 😋Several rooms. Highly recommend the private booth room if you wish to hear each other, lest your lunch ends up in open seating room where conversation was squashed by a gruff man giving a loud sales pitch with video playing to couple all seated next to us! Good real American fare!

Whenever in the area I recommend stopping by for a bite . The service is great , the vibe inside is clean and intimate . The blueberry pancakes had too many blueberries ( if that’s possible) , the turkey sausages were delicious ious and the omelet was amazing . The price for everything was definitely reasonable.

1st time for myself at Rips, i had the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles, which were amazing. We had a party of 5 and our server stayed on point.

My first time at Rip's today...Enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is nice. Super interesting decor. Staff are friendly... We were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant temperature was a bit too cold - pricing is very reasonable. Our food was good. My omelette was very tasty and tea was fantastic as well. The potatoes were very good! So tasty... bathrooms are in serious need for upgrading and could use some upcoming.

I had cream chipped beef for breakfast it came with a side of potatoes, but I am allergic to onions and since the potatoes are premade the onions couldn’t be excluded. I gave them to my husband who said they were delicious. The Mimosa was pretty good. The cream chip beef, lacked seasoning, and was bland. My husband enjoyed his eggs over medium Asada, scrapple and toast. They have some pretty interesting paintings and artifacts and the restaurant setting is pretty nice. The ladies restroom does need some updating. We were seated fast no waiting. The waitress was friendly.

Stopped in while heading south on Hwy 301 and I wondered “Is it worth it to cross this traffic?” Yes! Yes, it is. The Blackened Salmon Salad was incredible. The salmon was cooked perfect (not dry) and the ripe avocados with the fried green tomatoes? Excellent. Fried mushrooms appetizers were delicious. Stan was an outstanding waiter! I’ll be back. The dining area is kind of dark but who cares with such good food!

Drove past and stopped, great find. Nick provided the best service. The food was super good. Loved the fried green tomatoes. Shared a dinner of the rockfish with crab imperial. That was very good even though I am not a fish person. Substituted real mashed potatoes and also had the very delicious vegetable medley. Fabulous food

Google
The place is decorated very nicely. The atmosphere is great! I ordered the meatloaf, which was not very good. The mash potatoes that came with it were instant, and the green beans tasted like they were from a can. We also ordered the fried pickle appetizers. The taste was good, but the portions were small. My son ordered the pork barbecue sandwich, and the meat was not very good.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots to visit anytime of the day! I'm never disappointed breakfast, lunch or dinner. Rips just never misses. The food is always fresh. The service is always great and the whole eating in a stable thing...well... Let's talk about that later! The seafood here is why I keep coming back. It's fresh and done well. That's it and that's all. Portions will keep you satisfied. Listen if you're in the area and haven't tried Rips at least once... you're missing out. Stop by! Oh and get the liver and onions and the meat loaf heck! Get a couple of entrees

Yelp
Rips has been around a very long time. It's a one stop shop for food and spirits and they even have a hotel/motel out back. The people that work here are polite. Overall I would rate the service the best thing about this restaurant. When asked by my gmail to describe Rips, I explained it like this, " Rips is okay, it's kind of like Cracker Barrel but the food is not as tasty. The food will mostly be okay, they will have some things you like and some you think you will but it just won't be good". The example I gave was the crab dip, it looks good, it smells good but it taste like their is fish in it not shell fish blue crab. The chips that come with the dip are good but the crab dip is shameful, especially for Maryland. And the drinks are Mediocre at best. I will give a thumbs up for the corn bread. It's good. As for everything else it's a toss up. The mystery about this old looking, horse racing themed place is that they have something about them that every once in a while you just want to stop in, and it's not because they have a wine and spirits store connected to the restaurant. Would I recommend Rips? I would say give it a shot but keep your expectations low that little mystery will likely get you and you won't regret your visit but you won't be back soon.

Yelp
This review is based solely on the wine and Liquor store part of Rips. We have been coming here since 2001 and always enjoyed browsing for wine and talking with the folks who work there . Unfortunately the owners sold it and the people who bought it are incredibly unfriendly . There are around 4-5 men who are always lurking around and watching but never a smile or a hello. They hover about talking amongst themselves and glance up when you get near and just stare , almost hostile . There's a tall skinny guy who works at the register who's very strange too . I just don't feel comfortable in the place anymore. I've enjoyed spending my money in local family owned businesses here in Bowie but I won't be returning. Total Wine in Laurel had a bigger selection and better prices, it's s bit of a drive but at least when I go there the people are friendly.

Yelp
Surprisingly the deli is the start of this place. Ive been quietly hitting this spot for some time now. The Italian sub is the show here, it comes with peppercini and anchovies. The Latin/Hispanic ladies still help me with my español so service is still top notch. Whats is nice we sat out side at thier nice low key benches to eat and debated is it a Sub or Hoagie

Yelp
The service is always quick and efficient! We try really, really hard to catch brunch/breakfast however they stop serving at 11 so we're usually late because we like to sleep in on the weekends. Although we can't catch breakfast and babe loves a good breakfast we were able to get him for a nice treat for lunch! it is a happy accident because I was able to get the backfin crab meat melt (or as I like to call it the cheaper version of a crabcake sandwich when you're trying to save)! it was absolutely delicious. The cheese pull was everything. This last time I got mac & cheese, and it was really good before that. I got the fries with it and they were also good. After having this the first time I craved it so much we went back a few days later. However, was daring and tried different things. The first time he got the. Mega grilled cheese sandwich and the second time he got the Monte Carlo sandwich! He said both were really good. And of course he always gets them with fries. We also had coffee and they were quick with refills, which was awesome. The Ambiance, a lovely quaint old town kind of feel. They also have a liquor store on the opposite end and a bar. I haven't really checked those out, but they seem to be well stocked and a different vibe. If you're on 30 one you should definitely check them out. Their food is top-notch and worth the visit!

Yelp
Morning fun with Adrianna and her Lacrosse team, we were able to enjoy breakfast and get to stop and unwind a lil after their loss. The Inn has a rustic vibe; felt like I was out camping out west. I was able to capture cool pics. The kids were able to sit In an area. Definitely spacious. The parents were able to sit next door and enjoy a few mimosas. Our server was a lil annoyed but we made sure we made it easy for her to process one payment. Then We'd figure out the rest and who owes who what. The dining area where we sat was also spacious. It accommodated all of CCLAx parents. Breakfast was delicious. I'm not a fan of home fries but these were pretty good. I would have wanted it more crispier. The orange mimosas were def a hit. I felt it after the first one. Thumbs up on the drinks. I enjoyed brunch looking forward to trying out their dinner menu.

Yelp
Nice place for a casual lunch or dinner! Sunday is very quiet so the service was pretty quick! We were seated and served right away. I would like to return and try their breakfast!

Yelp
"He's not coming back," Robert McCall asserted after sliding a broken, bloody pair of Aviator-style glasses onto the table in front of Teddy, Alexander Pushkin's enforcer for the East Coast, Russian Mob. "Had enough?" McCall asked. "You certainly have my attention." "Because I can keep going. Brick by brick. Dollar by dollar." McCall paused to spread a napkin across his lap, before continuing. "Body by body. Or you can call your boss and tell him to shut down his operation. Tonight." "That's not much of an offer." "That's the only one you're gonna get. When you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too." With his stoic, matter-of-fact, yet punishing delivery, Denzel Washington's McCall lets Martin Csokas's Teddy in on a secret: McCall is the one who should be feared. But what if this threat-filled exchange didn't occur in a posh, Boston restaurant with violins serenading the patrons? What if McCall and Teddy stared down each other in one of the comfy booths of Rip's Country Inn, located at 3809 Crain Highway in Bowie, Maryland, as plates of their mouthwatering Maryland Fried Chicken; tender, gravy-soaked Rip's Meatloaf; and piping, hot bowls of their ingredient-filled Maryland Crab soup and Cream of Crab soup were ushered in front of them? One thing's for sure. McCall wouldn't have touched his stopwatch.

Yelp
Would love their brunch to be back..That's what we loved and them famous for (long lines outside) but stopped coming when they discontinued it.

Yelp
Two stars is still too good to give them worst food ever but our server was nice and fast! My appetizer of potato skins was best thing served but The prime Rib tough I mean really tough fatty and gross all red I actually tried to chew it! But had to spit out.. some young manger come by took it away and I got the Crab cake sand $20 one side of it was totally burnt I should of not taken it but also it was backfin crabmeat too should of been jumbo lump! They served on a bun with a lettuce leaf that was so much you could of made a salad and one slice tomato nothing else was on plate I guess cause I ate veggie and mash potatoes off my Prime rib plates I am sorry but I was very hungry I took Crabcake home I still have not eaten it I might try it at lunch today! I been going there for years and I never had such a terrible meal my hubs plate was ok he got the club sand can't go wrong with that! Also as we were walking in to be seated a waitress was having a melt down she was running around screaming top her lungs cussing say F word and kept repeating that no one should be following her personally some one should of call 911 I told hostess we don't want her for our server! Lol she should of been fired on the spot! We should of walked out then! It was ridiculous then she was screaming in kitchen every one could hear! I know we won't be back that place has gone down hill! Never again! I been going there since the 70s and my last time was March 31on Easter 2024 bye bye!! Don't Waste your money!!

Yelp
Rips does not offer any Gluten Free (or other dietary restriction) options for food. Staff wasn't knowledgable about the contents of the meal and if it was a possible safe meal to eat.

Yelp
Has gone downhill in the last year or so. Ribs at my last visit were very dry and service was spotty.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try Rip's for a few years now and finally went for breakfast. Inside you feel like you've walked into a cabin of sorts so it's definitely on theme with the "Inn" vibes. My friend said her omelet was just ok. I had a basic pancake breakfast and it was good although the potatoes could have used a bit more seasoning. (You really can't mess up pancakes and bacon though‍.)Our mimosas were good too. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. She's honestly why I gave them 4 stars. I'll definitely try them again for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
I enjoyed lunch here, while visiting a family member. The place was busy. I can understand why. Our server was very sweet. She answered my questions. We ordered glasses of wine. Most restaurants don't serve my favorites by the glass. I found a nice Malbec on the menu. Our lunches came to the table fairly quickly. The portions were a good size. The food tasty and served hot. I enjoyed my rueben, while my aunt enjoyed a burger. It was a lovely lunch on a rainy day.

Yelp
A nice little find on the way back from the Chesapeake Bay Area, great service and the food was pretty delicious. Also, found some great beer finds at their adjacent liquor store as well. Overall, a solid place to grab a bite with a good location and nice feel of a restaurant.

Yelp
I love rips because it's got a fine selection of wines and alcoholic beverages. I don't drink alcohol, but looks really good.

Yelp
Went to Rip's today. I was drawn there because of the Liver and onions ! Most restaurants don't make it. I like it! Rip's did it right! The roll was crunchy on the outside but soft inside! The butter was perfect for the roll (yes, I graded the butter!) The liver is grilled not fried like I am accustomed to, but it was good. It comes with green beans and mashed potatoes. The green beans were canned and sadly the preparer need a lesson on how to season them.. The mashed potatoes were good. I asked for a side of gravy because I wanted more on the liver. For a country inn they did not season the food like I expected. I needed a little salt. But overall it was good. I had to get another roll because it was good..... yes I am a bread luva! I had the sweet tea, it was not fresh brewed but the fountain sweet tea. They have a bar menu that had interesting drink choices... I had to skip that because I was driving. They also have a country store attached to the restaurant. I didn't go in but it looked interesting. There are also some neat handcrafted (?) benches in the hall leading to the restroom. The service was great, and Ashley, my server, was attentive. I will come back, avoiding the green beans. Happy Holidays!!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants when I want a quiet dining experience. The private booths and low lighting make for a nice dining atmosphere. The customer service has always been great! The food is good with large portions.

Yelp
Rips is very consistent with good service and food. Wifey and I used this as our plan A and B. The last date night we decided to head to Molloy's Irish Pub, however the traffic on 301 was unbearable, so I hooked a U and back to Rips we landed. Both of us got the Maryland Fish Fry which is Rip's version of Fish & Chips, however they use huge filets of whitefish. Everything arrived fresh and hot with a service of excellently creamy coleslaw and crispy house cut fries. In closing, we both left our phones in the car, however because of the service size (2 large pieces of whitefish), we needed a box, so here's what you will get fish wise with the entree. 5 stars because I have eaten 65% of what is on the menu over the past 12 yrs and everything is consistently excellent! Keep rocking Rips!

Yelp
I've heard that this place used to be the only place to eat out in Bowie 60 years ago and this comfort food staple is still serving delicious grub today. We went here on a Sunday for a late lunch. We have tried to come a few times before, but on the weekends there is always a wait. A wait for a good reason I should clarify - definitely call for a reservation! Sunday is the only no-reservation day, so lucky us to have gotten a table right-away. Stars must have aligned. I heard that the breakfast is amazing, but have yet to try it. So here is our lunch review: Calamari - we definitely recommend this appetizer. Their homemade teriyaki glaze dipping sauce is amazing and a great swap to the traditional marinara or ranch you may get served with. Calamari are also lightly battered and crispy without the calamari in itself turning rubbery. Fried Pickles - these are thick cut slices, as opposed thinner smaller ones I was used to. But the Yuengling batter added a nice touch of flavor. Cream of Crab - Yes, yes, yes. We ordered 2 different soups to try. This one by far was my favorite one. Creamy with a hint of heat/spice, not too overpowering. lot of chunks of fresh crab. Maryland Crab Soup - if you like a more brothy (is that a word?) soup, this vegetable soup with crab chunks AND BACON is your go to here. Reminds me of an Italian soup. On the Bun - we tried 2. We had the Mac n Cheese burger and the Carolina burger. Both come on a brioche bun with fries on the side. I was craving BBQ and didn't realize the Carolina Burger is pulled BBQ topped on a beef patty! WOW double meat! It was great, the BBQ sauce was not too sweet. The Mac n Cheese burger, was a big dollop of mac and cheese topped on the beef patty. My husband was in heaven. His 2 favorite things slapped conveniently between fluffy brioche. Staff was friendly and attentive. The chef even came out to check in on patrons and introduce himself. Can't wait to finally try the much raved about breakfast menu.

Nicki ..

Yelp
Absolutely horrible food! It's like they don't even care that the chef can't cook. Just the blind leading the blind. However, Customer service was great!

Yelp
I have lived in the area for over 30 years now and Rips continues to be a favorite for my entire family. Even family members from out of state will visit and make a point of saying they want to stop by before they leave. The restaurant area is so relaxed and the servers are attentive. We have had large parties for holidays such as Christmas Eve, etc. And my direct family members often come in just to sit down for a nice quick meal. The well-stocked selection in the liquor store is always reassuring. You're not going to walk in there with an expectation of finding something in particular, and walk out empty handed. And every employee is a joy to talk to. More than happy to locate exactly what you're looking for, if you aren't familiar with their layout. Nothing worse than wandering around in a liquor store looking like a lost child and not sure who to ask for help Whenever their deli is open....oh man, if I could consume one of everything, I would most certainly order it all. You definitely get your moneys worth and the ladies are extremely fast in preparing your food. They might even beat a quick drive thru at McDonald's to be honest. Anyway, I've been going to Rips since I was a kid. 30 years later, I can honestly say I would be DEVASTATED if they were to close. The only amenity I have not (personally) experienced here, is their hotel/lodging service. My family members have stayed there in the past and had nothing but good things to say about it. And they love to complain, so that tells me a lot.

Yelp
Wonderful place. This place has a little bit of everything for everyone; liquor store, deli, random items shop, and down-home restaurant. The restaurant side has foods my Momma' from Georgia makes...it's food that goes straight to the soul, is well priced, and there is a down-home feeling whenever I'm at this place. Those with a soul must visit this place!

Roxanna B.

Yelp
Went there for lunch today and ordered liver and onions and the liver cooked medium. When it came out it was well done, so I sent it back. The plate was full of juice. At the spinach and left everything else. On the way out I told the manager about the food and he just looked at me. I told him I was going to write a review and the only thing he said was to not write a bad one. I don't mind paying $33 for a meal if it was worth it. He did not say he was sorry or anything. By this time I was pissed. I called back to get his name and he answered the phone. When I asked to speakers to the manager. He acted like get had to get him and what was the the problem. I told him I wanted his name and he hung up the phone. Called back and he had a young lady answer. I will never step foot in Rips again.

Yelp
We haven't been here for years and now I remember why. I started with calamari. First mistake. It was very greasy. Very. I ordered a seafood platter broiled($45). When it arrived it was totally white, nothing looked like it had been near a broiler. Unfortunately it tasted white. There was no flavor at all! My husband ordered the Deluxe meatloaf which was edible at best. These poor folks need to get some spices or something. The people were very nice, and we were seated right away. Decor was warm and inviting. But we will not being coming back. I hope I don't forget and come back in a few years again.

Yelp
Rips is my favorite restaurant. It's cozy, has adjustable lighting in each booth, and has great food. Good service, and food is quick. I love their ribs and each table gets cornbread upon seating.

Jason G.

Yelp
Great food and great professional customer service! Servers are courteous and very welcoming. You can also ask them of their bestsellers and recommendations. A must-have experience for Bowie visitors!
google avatar

C M.

Yelp
We ordered carry out. The food was ok. He had a burger and I had the crab soup. The burger was straight forward with some mac n cheese on top. It was pretty decent. The soup was not as good, it needed more crab and it should have a little more creaminess to it. The eastern shore spots know their chowder and crab soups imho. Next time I'd probably order something reliable like a burger or a steak. The salads were ok and kind of pricey for a beet salad but i was able to share it. The olive platter was small but good if you were having a drink at the bar while waiting for your burger.

Yelp
Delicious food! Amazing service! Def recommend the Jumbo Shrimp and also the meatloaf! Staff are so friendly! I'll def be coming back soon! My server Matt was really nice and did a great job making sure we were good on drinks and were taken care of!

David M.

Yelp
My friend and I were promptly seated and greeted by our server, Nick. The lunch menu is extensive. I had a Yuengling draft and my friend had French onion soup while we perused the menu. I decided on the cod sandwich with fries and cole slaw, he had the Monte Cristo sandwich. Everything was excellent and not too pricey. Nick was friendly and attentive. A positive dining experience.

Yelp
I enjoy going to Rips for breakfast. When I go there is seldom a wait. If we have a large party and we call in advance they are able to accommodate. The service has been great the times I've gone. The food is always good and it's reasonably priced. It's a family atmosphere, nice and relaxed
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Thank God for Rips, you can count on good fresh food, a nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Not the most luxurious restaurant in town but very consistent. The ambience is a little different but for the most part the restaurants normally is very clean and the wait staff is awesome. On this day I had fried fish, salad, and green beans. The fish was perfectly cooked not to dried out and pleasantly battered with just enough spices to not over power of the fish. The salad was awesome nice and cold with a variety of mixed vegetables and tiny ranch dressing. Finally the green beans tasted like mom used to make. If you haven't given this restaurant a try I highly recommend stopping by one day when they're not extremely busy and having a nice meal. And also visit the store that is also connected to the restaurant.

Yelp
Disappointing. Had dinner with friends at Rips and the food was not good. My dish was bland with no salt or seasoning. The rice was bad and clumped around the plate. My dish was not tasty, but at least it was edible. I cannot say the same for the other entrees which were undercooked. Rips needs to do better. It used to be a reliable spot with good food. Not anymore. The server was very good and that's the reason for the two stars.

Yelp
The experience did not start well when I entered the establishment and asked to be seated for lunch. I was escorted by a gentleman to a tiny, two-seater literally next to the kitchen door. This is always the worst seat in any restaurant house, and an expression of meanness when there is plenty of additional seating choices (there were). The young lady that came to take my order was very pleasant and friendly. I asked her what was the special, and she described it as "an Oyster po' boy with Chipotle mayo in a brioche bun". I ordered the sandwich, and asked her for the sauce on the side since I didn't know how hot it would be. The sandwich arrived, and the Chipotle mayo was slathered inside the bun, which by no means was brioche, but more like a kayser roll. I asked her if they could re-do the sandwich, and I got a new one. I got a new sandwich with a side of the mayo, which turned out to be homemade and quite delicious. The oysters were fresh and tender. The bun... Still a regular bun (the embarrased served muttered something like that the brioche rolls had not made it that day, or something like that). During my second bite of the sandwich I discovered a dime-size piece of oyster shell inside one of the oysters. The piece of shell was large enough to have caused a broken tooth or a cut inside anyone's mouth. I brought this to the young lady's attention, and she apologized profusely, informing me that she would let the manager (same guy who sat me) and the chef know. Never heard a peep from these gentlemen. I got my dessert, which was an individual warm pecan pie with vainilla ice cream that was delicious, and asked for the check. It has been my experience in the past that any restaurant would have offered to take the sandwich off the bill, or comp the dessert, or some such compensation for my negative experience. My bill was exactly what I had consumed; no apologies, no effort to make things right. But the meanness was there right from the beginning, so I was not surprised. This restaurant gets 1 * because the food was passable, but nothing else. See attached photo evidence.

Yelp
Rip's is that one place in Bowie that I've been passing all my life. You would think that with the prime real-estate you would hear more about it. I've used it more times as a meeting point than I have a viable option when I'm hungry. The inside is dark, and just really has a vintage vibe, everything is wooden, and I don't recall a white wall anywhere but the bathroom. All of the booths are enclosed, which is actually really cool. The staff here is friendly, and the food is decent. The food has a real down home vibe. It's like going out to get a home cooked meal, but in a good way.
google avatar

Yelp
Old favorite! You might can't tell from the outside, but the food is GOOD. Want home style meals with flavor, this is the place. Fried chicken dinner (they give alot of chicken) mashed potatoes and vegetables-- yummy! Liver and onions (can't find this anywhere else) yumm! Seafood platter-- yumm! O, and the ribs!! My husband loves those. And they have breakfast!! Eggs, scrapple, toast, potatoes just like grandma's. Dining room or bar seating. Private room for parties or large dinners. Attached liquor store and sandwich shop also.

Yelp
With all great reviews for R C I, I am hoping this is just a fluke, but the place fell short on a lot of counts. The great items that were served, and enjoyed by our party of four was the She Crab soup, and the calamari, My fried flounder was great, cooked perfectly it came with the best cole.slaw, and ok onion rings (not hot, but greasy). Now the bad part #1 son's Mac Daddy chicken burger was pretty tasteless... The other two in our party ordered the Southern fried chicken, the menu says it's made to order and to "be patient"... Unfortunately after patiently waited my two dining partners were treated to deep fried chicken with absolutely no seasoning, or taste, both left most of their dinner's uneaten, both being very disappointed. The cornbread that came to the table was dry, hard, and had very little corn taste. Telling our server about it when she brought the check. the only comment we got was "really"... As we left one of my dining partners said " maybe people come for the steaks"? Maybe this is the case.

Yelp
Came to RIPS for breakfast with my dad. Order food for my mom to bring home. Ordered a Fish Sandwich meal @ $18 got the sandwich and it look like a kids meal. So I asked for a Manager. He said they weigh the fish. I was then told order the Maryland fish fry a $2 difference. Instead of the Manager saying as a valued customer your fine he wanted to re ring the entire meal and now we have two hold for $60.95 & $63.07 I said cancel the order it's not good customer service. I said just cancel it and now a 3rd hold on my card for $41.87 . The Manager Mr. Chisels was the worth (NEW MANGER) . On the other hand our waitress Paige was AMAZING. NOT EVER COMING BACK.

The liquor store has a great selection but the customer service leaves much to be desired. I've been going to RIPS for years but I believe I just made my last visit.

Yelp
First time and will definitely be back. The food was delicious, well seasoned and the salad was so fresh. The dessert menu was short and sweet, carrot cake wss a great choice. The staff and service was fast and pleasant. My sister's enjoyed the fried fish. Overall wonderful experience, would recommend to family and friends

Yelp
Dined here for lunch. Party of 3. Service was good. We had the hamburger steak, meatloaf and grilled cheese with bacon. All good except for the meatloaf. A no go. Grilled cheese and him burger steak very good. Will definitely go back. Also want to try breakfast. I saw grits on the menu and have to try them.

Yelp
The food is great. I have ordered breakfast from the restaurant and been there for dinner. I sometimes forget about them when, I think about going out.

Yelp
Rips is one of my go-to places. There's the country inn restaurant, a bar, and a liquor store. Oh, and a hotel, as well. I like the horse shed theme for the restaurant, as well as the ambience. Rips is good for breakfast, Lunch or dinner for American food.

Yelp
Good food. I've been going there for years and my parents had been going there before I was born.

Yelp
I thought I would play it safe and order the meat loaf dinner. The meat loaf was bland and the mash potato's were instant! Green beans were OK. One small dinner roll. The waiter was rude when we ordered. He didn't like that my friend didn't order promptly. The waiter rolled his eyes and he spun around in frustration. I will not go back! The place is pass it's prime. Use to be a good place to eat.

Yelp
Really delicious food (I got a blackened salmon salad), wonderful ambiance and great service. Everything you might want in a restaurant. The prices were no more expensive than a mid-range chain, but this is a local landmark and no cookie-cutter place. You can't do better, IMO. Warmly recommended.

Yelp
The food was just average. The atmosphere is nice and reminds you of a stable on the rustic side. The service was good but average. I was hoping for more , I've driven by for many years and just by looking at the parking lot and all the cars I thought it would be better.

Yelp
Very pleasantly surprised, considering when I first saw the small menu I was disappointed and worried I wouldn't be able to get anything I liked. I got the carved turkey over stuffing covered with gravy, with the sides of mashed potatoes & gravy, and mac and cheese. It was like a lil Thanksgiving dinner, very good and filling, but I was able to eat it all! At first I was very hesitant but after eating the hot turkey plate, I was very happy with my order. My boyfriend got the liver & onions, which he says has been the best liver he's ever had. Additionally, not sure what the other reviews are talking about but there is no racism within this restaurant. There were other ethnicities there, and they all were laughing and even stayed there longer than we did.

Yelp
Good ambiance, friendly and attentive staff and tasty food make Rips a winner! I recommend if you are in the area and hungry.

Yelp
I've been a customer of this establishment for about 10 years. Today was the first time I ordered food that I did not enjoy. Reluctantly I called spoke with a manager and he basically shrugged his shoulders. Not the customer service response I was looking for. The manager offered no remedy. Extremely disappointing. So for me, no more Rips
