The view is beautiful! We had really good service and there were 6 of us and she was spot on. The food is delicious and fairly priced. If you want a unique dining experience on the ocean, please give this place a try. Oh yeah.....The Mason Jar drink is HUGE!

RipTydz in Myrtle Beach has a nice oceanfront location right on the boardwalk, with great views from its large multi-level setup. The place is spacious, but if you’re going with a big group, be prepared for a long wait—reservations are highly recommended. They have a good seafood-focused menu; I enjoyed the fried calamari and lobster rolls. Prices are average for a beachfront spot. However, the restaurant was very hot during our visit—only the second floor has air conditioning, and the fans on the other levels just aren’t enough. Service also fell short—one of our group’s meals was forgotten, and they had to wait an extra 15 minutes with no apology or acknowledgment from the staff. Overall, just an average experience despite the great setting.

Home run! Lunch on a weekday with a great ocean view! Fast, friendly service. Cute atmosphere. The food though....phenomenal. the lobster rolls were wonderful and the fish and chips was the best I've had and I'm from New England. Just crispy outside and flaky inside with a perfect seasoning. Highly recommend these dishes.

Delicious food worth every penny. They add a 15% "gratuity" automatically to each check but the food was delicious so we didn't mind. We got the chicken egg rolls, coconut shrimp and the coastal platter. Would come back!

1st time eating there and definitely had a good time. We got the out table but it was a little cool outside so we went back in. Everyone was very helpful and polite. Nice view for the time we did spend outside. I got the frozen pineapple pina colada, it leaked a little but if i drank too fast I'd have a brain freeze. Still good though. The chicken eggrolls were amazing. The pub chips were ok. My family really like the wonton. The bacon mac n cheese was ok. The fried chicken tasted good. Fries were on point. Cool place to eat and enjoy view. Food was alright.

Excellent place to eat! My husband and I sat in the covered patio where we got to enjoy the beautiful view. Our server was AMAZING! She gave us multiple recommendations of places to see and things to do while we were visiting the area. The food was a little pricey, but so worth it. We will definitely be back!

Wow, I just had the best time at a place with amazing outdoor seating right by the ocean in Myrtle Beach! The views were absolutely stunning, and I could have stayed there all night. Plus, the service was incredible, with the sweetest server named Shanaiya. She was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed – such a wonderful person. The was good and I will try something different next time. The manager Nick was doing a good job. I will say that there is an automatic 15% gratuity add it to the bill.

We went because Google said it was a good place to watch the sunset. Wrong! Do not go here expecting to see any sort of views of the sunset. The food was OK and service was good but they take your card as soon as you are seated before brining you anything. Then they automatically add 15% service fee (tip) on all tabs. It's crazy windy on the roof, do not go looking cute with your hair down. Put your hair up if you plan on eating food without your hair blowing in your face. And you won't be able to see what you're eating anyway. They have string lights but you'll want to use your flashlight to see the menu or what's on your plate. Do not order Mega Mason drinks, they are so big that there is no alcohol at all. You'll also be charged extra to have your photo taken or get a balloon animal. Steamers are plenty of food for 2 people. But they won't tell you that. We had a good time but won't go back. $250 dinner for 2 is NOT worth it!

Looking for a spot in more southern Myrtle for a lunch with a view? Want a good selection of beer? Well guess what?! Here it is. When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly staff that offered us a table on the 3rd floor to be able to enjoy the view overlooking the beach. Once we were settled, we order some cold local beers to keep us refreshed in the sunny day. Next up the food. It did have a slight delay but absolutely worth it. The surf and turf burger was a first for me, a juicy beef patty topped with real crab meat that had the perfect combo of land and sea. I would definitely order this again. Also pictured are the buttery lobster dogs and one of the wraps available to order. Everything came out full of flavor and fed our hungry bellies to the top. Overall, this spot checked all the boxes of a casual beach lunch with a view, great food, cold beer, and an attentive and friendly staff. Hope to come back soon!

just keep in mind that you're paying for the view here, not so much the very overpriced bar food. We had two sandwiches with fries, my beer and her cocktail totaled over $80 before tip. Lots of extra taxes added to the bill. In addition to the already high 15% sales tax, they also added a food, tax, liquor, tax, draft, tax, and a transaction fee of 4% for using a credit card (something I was not told about in advance)!!

Understand why this location has 1300 picture post. Well worth the stop and eat. Right on water and some great views from second floor or roof top. Our waiter was over the top nice as he explained the specials during happy hour, specials for the night and the surprise automatic 15% gratuity that is on every check. Yes every order! A little shocked about that but he did a great job explaining the why. (Todays world don't blame these retailers) The food was outstanding ( had the lobster rolls) with a pour of warm butter.(loved them all) I want to go back before this vacation is over and have same meal again. Ask about happy hour beers, 32 oz draft for like 6 dollars. Wow

Not as great as I thought this place would be. We came for happy hour advertisement but the selections for happy hour covered stuff was limited.. we shared a steamer and it was good . Nothing was over top great about it but its location is right on beach. Our server was nice but as time went by she seemed less enthusiastic.. she was good enough to inform us that they charge a 15% gratuity up front right off the bay so your not surprised by your bill. We sat on third floor because off season that's only floor that was open.. just didn't seem like the price matched vibe if that makes sense.. I don't mind paying for an experience in place like this just seemed lack luster.. ads seemed a lot more fun than it was.. parking is limited so your valet parked too

We stopped by in the off season and it was just as wonderful as always ! The food was hot and fresh ! The service was amazing as always the ladies are always so friendly ! And the ambiance was outstanding .. it's always a wonder day here !

The service was very friendly and the restaurant has a cool design/nightclub feel about it, but as you can see in this picture of the food was not it the steak tasted like wood. The mashed potatoes were very mid and all the drinks were very expensive for no reason. 5/10

Service for 30 was handled flawlessly. Apps were legit including a very good coconut shrimp. The surf n turf burg wasn't bad, but nothing like the menu photo and definitely not worth $30.

We arrived here it's next to the beach front by ocean. We left our truck with valet parking at the door and they took great care of our vehicle. There's three floors to have dinner at. We did roof top but it started to get very windy and a storm was about to start but it was a great time. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We ordered the bbq burger, Mac and cheese burger, snow crab, lobster and bacon Mac and cheese, buffalo Mac n cheese, mozzarella wedges, smoked Gouda chicken egg rolls and rip n shrimp tacos. The mozzarella wedges were amazing nice and hot with a cheese pull. The smoked Gouda chicken egg rolls to be honest was my least favorite. They did not stand out and the taste wasn't great. The bbq burger was a good portion as well as the Mac n cheese burger. You can't go wrong with either burger they are delicious. The rip n shrimp tacos were very delicious and the right amount and great flavor. The buffalo Mac and cheese was a huge portion with very flavorful buffalo sauce. The chicken was cooked perfectly and juicy. The lobster and bacon Mac and cheese was my favorite. Huge portion with a great cheesy sauce and taste. The snow crab was a good size but it takes for ever to peel them legs. The sweet tea was great our waiter took great care of us. When I come back this is where I'm stopping for dinner.

Loved this place!!! What a vibe!! We had the best lunch. Our waitress Taylor was a gem. I'm a little picky eater (although I may not look it) and I really wanted a buffalo chicken wrap. So I was able to sub a few things on the coconut chicken wrap which was phenomenal. I bet in the summer this place is really fun right on the beach. The drinks are in a very large cup which we had refilled and put a lid on for our ride back home. We went on the rooftop for some pictures as well. Highly recommend this place and will be coming back in the summer! Thank you Taylor for the great service.

This place was NyCE!!! Right by the ocean front of Myrtle beach. We were one the top floor. They have three floor. It was neat and clean, even though a lot of seafood options in the menu. But I didn't smell any seafood, which made me more better to chill and enjoy out lunch with my husband and kids. It was windy, which made it romantic. I was able to take great pictures. I'm so glad my husband took me there. It was worth the time and money. Free velvet parking if you dine in. Overall, Great service and food.

Our food didn't come out hot at all. We had eggrolls, lobster Mac and cheese, and shrimp po boy with fries. Our waitress was nice.

Good local spot with a nice variety of food options. I got steamed crab legs with a side salad. Definitely a great portion for the price. Service was a bit slow, but to be expected this time of year, and I think our waitress was new. A good spot to try when you are in the area.

Our potato skins came to our table cold. The lobster Mac was gross. the cheese was gritty and the lobster was rubbery. I didn't but a couple of bites but still paid $32.99 for it. The Coastal Fried Platter was hot and fresh. Waiter was polite. Way too high priced for the poor quality of food.

Why eat at Riptydz? The view, of course! We had lunch there two days ago and the food was pretty good as well. I had a Shrimp Po Boy, my partner had fish tacos. We were there on Bike Week Friday and the service and seating was quick.

Everything was delicious! Our waitress was very good at not pressuring us to order. Drinks from the menu were awesome! We sat at the roof top bar on the 4th floor overlooking the ocean. Beautiful day!

The food, beer and atmosphere were great. Place is clean and my server was nice. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is the lack of awareness of the bussing staff. I was sitting on the rooftop and the wind was blowing, as it does on the beach. A member of the bussing staff came to clean a table beside mine, spraying an unknown chemical from a bottle on the table (presumably a bleach solution). That spray caught the wind and hit me in the face and arm, and surely got on my food as well. I was done at that point. Simple awareness and common sense would prevent this awkward and frustrating end to an otherwise enjoyable experience. Recommendation to management: add a little training for your team. Also, besides the mandatory 15% tip (which I have no problem with) they add a surcharge to your bill as well as various taxes for food and alcohol. Pretty pricey overall but it is a tourist hotspot.

Right on the beach with some yard games. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Good service with our party of 9. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Not rushed to leave. Food was delicious!

Stopped in for a late lunch while walking the boardwalk. 4 adults and 5 kids were seated after a 15 minute wait. Our server was very friendly. It was nice to feel the breeze and look out at the beach and ocean while dining. No complaints about the food, everything was delicious. No leftovers by anyone.

We had a dinner on the rooftop dining area and enjoyed the view of the ocean. We ordered apps, dinner and drinks for our last night of vacation. I ordered a shrimp cocktail, arugula salad and a local beer from Grand Strand brewing. The arugula salad was delicious with the orange vinaigrette dressing. Our waitress was prompt and very attentive to our needs. The view of the ocean and the salt air was a very nice ending to our vacation.

Family of 4 in town on vacation stopped in for dinner while exploring the boardwalk. The back area on the beach had a bunch of fun games (bags, etc). I'd imagine its popular in the summer. Food was only ok. I ordered a Caribbean cosmo and it came in a small plastic glass, felt disappointing and not worth the cost. Husband tried a couple of local beers with shrimp tacos. He was pretty happy. Me and the kids (12 & 9) split the BBQ pork platter. Plenty of food for us but just ok. Texas toast was part of the description which made us think toasted bread with butter and spices but it was plain toast. Its probably a great time in summer when the weather's good but I wouldn't call it a great family spot. If you enjoy seafood, a lot of selection on the menu. Bathrooms were really nice tho!

My good tasted pretty good. I got the Lobster Roll and Chips but later that day I felt sick and so did my friend. We were feeling great before we ate there. The Ambiance was great. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful views of the beach but because of being sick after we ate there it's hard to recommend going to this restaurant.

What I ordered: fish and chips, jambalaya, and mozzarella wedges, pina colada Price: $90 (with tip over $100) Overall thoughts: very good and good view PRESENTATION & CREATIVITY- I believe all food is art. This meal was presented nicely and clean 10/10 QUALITY & TASTE- Everyone has their own opinion of preferences of taste. The fish and chips were good. The fries had seasoning with added flavor. Jambalaya was spicy(our waiter told us it was). It was both good. SERVICE & HOSPITALITY- One aspect of a great experience at an establishment is the service of the staff. At this location, service was amazing. We were seated right away, we're able to ask questions about the menu. During your meal, a photographer comes and takes your pictures and you get a free postcard with a picture on it. You can buy additional pictures. It's a good souvenir. We just kept the free postcard. VARIETY OF OPTIONS- Some establishments offer very diverse menu. At this establishment, there were many options! BANG FOR YOUR BUCK? Is this too expensive for the quality of food? It was somewhat expensive, so if you're expecting to order drinks, your bill will run high. But with the fantastic view and good customer service, it is worth it. Thursday, February 29, 2024, a friend and me decided to check this place out. We went in and was greeted by the Host - Avery. We decided to sit at the bar. Business was lite, still off season here. We sat down, " Nick," the bartender came over to us, socialized with us a little and took our drink orders. Drinks were good ! We ordered the BBQ Grilled Salmon, ( medium rare, pink only ) substituted mixed vegetables for white rice. Friend ordered the Chicken Wings, " Wingtydz." Food was delivered to us at the bar in good time, the presentation of the food was awesome! My dish as seen in the pictures, the Salmon was done PERFECT, the veggies and green beans were not over done - they were perfect ! Food - Wingtydz, I had a couple of the drumsticks, very delicious- sauces spectacular ! The service at this place was AWESOME ! I actually met the Chef, Woodard, he did a great job ! Ambience - many TV's, not loud at all - One huge TV (pic), lite music playing - good music. New Menus (see pics) Drink Menu (see pic) Picture - Bartender - Nick Host - Avery Waiter - Cam Waiter - Gianna I would absolutely come back here again to, " RIPTYDZ !

I'm only giving 2 stars because the views and the staff are great. The food was atrocious along with the price. We got the Mac and cheese with bacon and chicken and it had zero flavor. The chicken was pale white, completely lacking in seasoning and the bacon had a heavy Smokey flavor. The cheese on the Mac was curdled and had zero flavor it tasted like yellow goop. Don't let the photo fool you, it may look decent but it was awful. The steak tacos were exceptionally awful as well. I didn't think you could mess up something so simple but they managed to serve it on a raw tortilla with a cheesy bean and corn sauce on top which completely masked the steak. The bare steak would have been so much better than whatever mess they added to it. This place is absolutely a tourist trap with the great views and ambiance but the food and the price we paid for it was awful. The only reason we didn't send it all back to the kitchen was because they were hosting a large party next to us and we just wanted to get out of there and not stress out our server who was very sweet and personable. He is the only reason I'm giving this place a 2 stars because although the food was garbage, they got a great team of people working and great views.

This place was great! We sat out on the deck. They had live music which I hate but the guy sang very good songs and was funny. He was a bit too loud though. They should have live music be a bit more quiet since this is a restaurant and not a concert venue but it was fine. Our waitress was awesome and nice. Food came quick. Egg roll app was decent. I had a frozen drink as well and they were out of all the cool cups so I got a mason jar. Decent drink. I shared a salad and the mac and cheese with my best friend and we were super full and the food was great!! Overall I liked coming here and we had a great experience. Would highly recommend.

Service was great. The ambiance is typical loud bar and HOT. It's like they punish you for not waiting the 45 minutes to go rooftop. We had coconut shrimp which was good. Much better than smoked Gouda and chicken egg rolls which were tough. Drinks were good.

The food was bland, the view on the rooftop is amazing. The music was really great as well.

on vacation & this was somewhere i looked forward to once we booked a place for our trip. we came here for lunch, the vibes were amazing, the food was outstanding & the drinks were very good! our server was mariah & she was incredibly friendly, attentive to our needs, & offered exceptional recommendations. the view from the rooftop was our favorite part of our visit to this restaurant, absolutely incredible!!

Food is par at best, the place is in a good location! To be fair they probably have 500 tables and one kitchen. We had a party of 8, a few slip ups like the kids wanted the cheese burgers without cheese, but they had cheese! Also surprisingly the fish tacos came with a side of chips and not corn chips lol. They were potato chips, really lol. I had fish and chips they were ok I wished it was a little crunchy. Hey but the tartar sauce was good. Service was fine the issues they had was back of the house. It not ez running an operation that big. I would definitely try again to be fair.

Pros: We walked right in, no wait. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was cool. The food and drinks were decent and reasonably priced. Cons: They wanted a credit card to have on file before we ordered (we were not at the bar). There' was an automatic 15% gratuity added to the bill ( this was on a Thursday night and there were only 2 people in my party) which the waitress did tell us before ordering. While there were a few things I didn't like, I'd probably still go back.

We had early dinner there the other day and it was excellent. We ate outside on their deck. Service, food, and atmosphere were great. I had the crab soup and there was literally at least one piece of crab in every spoonful. Delicious, I then had the blackened swordfish with parmesan risotto and well seasoned green beans. All of it was delicious too. Family members had small plates which they enjoyed. Probably one of the best meals I've had in a while.

We seen this restaurant recommended many times on multiple social media platforms. We came during sunset and was seated on the second floor with an obstructed view. It was OK because it was overcast and we could not see the sunset anyways. We enjoyed the photographer and purchased some Postcards. Our kids enjoyed the very tall man walking around making balloons. The food was delicious and worth the high price.

Came in when they first opened for lunch. We heard from some other vacationers that the wraps were good here. That sounded like a great lunch. We came to the second floor bar and was greeted by the the bartender Krystal who is absolutely an amazing soul. We sat and talked with her for a while about the food, View and the overall experience here we asked about the wraps and she was spot on with her recommendations. The bar is a great beach bar with amazing view of the water and pier. Hands down one of the best places on the beach.

Came for lunch with my wife. We had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer and that was reasonably good. My wife had the tuna poke bowl appetizer as her main course and she said it was tasty. I had the barbecue pulled pork plate and it was extremely disappointing. Mac & cheese was dry and almost cold. Potato salad was tasteless. Coleslaw was OK but the main problem was the pork itself. It was cold, tough and smothered in some kind of sweet sauce that was almost, but not entirely, quite unlike barbecue sauce. The service was good, but the place is very overpriced (I understand that you're paying for the view). As other reviews have noted, they add "convenience fees" and other things to the bill. If you are a tourist and want to come and sit on the roof deck, look at the ocean and have a cocktail or two, it's probably a decent place, but I do not recommend eating here and I certainly will not go back.

Familia!!! If u are EVER in Myrtle Beach and u want an AMAZING service, PHENOMENAL perfectly cooked n super flavorful dishes this is the spot! Donovan was our server tonight n not only did he do an OUTSTANDING job but he made sure our food was hot, fresh, had an amazing attitude, without a doubt a must come n try!

This is the Perfect spot for a Sunday Afternoon Lunch! After a Pool and Beach day the Rum Punch was delicious paired with the Fish and Chips. I also tasted the Steamed Peel n Eat Shrimp (which had Just the right amount of Seasoning!) We were seated with the Perfect view of the ocean w/ the best meal and service in Myrtle Beach so far! 10/10

I did not think we were going to go to this place so it was a pleasant surprise when we did. We are walking down to the boardwalk. Nothing else really caught My eye except this place. I had read reviews and wanted to go. It's a little weird when you walk in because you have to pick the floor you go on. But the location is absolutely perfect. It's like seeing the beach but not being directly in the sun. However, the birds do come in and are right by your feet. But that's to be expected with the windows open. The only thing I wish is that there was some shading downstairs in the play area and that it was blocked off a little bit for little kids. However, it's a super nice place. Now for the service.. He was very nice and very talkative which I enjoyed. I got a virgin daiquiri which was really good and not that expensive at $5. I also got a grilled chicken sandwich with the barbecue sauce on the side and onions on it. It was very delicious and I would definitely be back to get that. I do wish that I had a knife but I could have asked. However The BBQ sauce was very different from what I was expecting but a good difference. My kids got the kids menu and they came with a frisbee which was pretty cool. Overall, they really enjoyed the experience

TOURIST TRAP Mandatory 15% gratuity and credit card info....... (Beware of the mandatory 15% gratuity added to each check, no matter how many people that are in your party. They also need a credit card on file before you even order so watch your bank statements just in case) Parking: We pulled into their parking lot and the "Valet" driver ran up to the window and told us he was required to park my vehicle "in case of emergency". Sorry but if the place is on fire, you aren't moving 20 vehicles in just a few minutes. I paid the guy $5 to park my truck 10ft away from where I pulled in. Service: The service is mediocre. We seen our waitress a total of 3 times the entire experience. Nowhere to be found for refills or anything else. Food: I had a cheesesteak that had absolutely no flavor to it. My fíance had a chicken salad (chicken had a rubbery texture to it). I could've found better tasting food out of a garbage can somewhere on the strip. This place used to be great when it first opened up. Not sure what happened to it along the line. Now it's a joke. The only thing nice about this place are the views.

Great atmosphere, we sat in the rooftop. Food choices were great but fairly simple. Great portions and staff was friendly. They do include gratuity to the check so just make sure to check with the waiter on the percent.

RipTydz didn't anticipate a crowd. When we arrived, we waited for a hostess for 10 minutes, but no one showed up. We eventually seated ourselves and waited another 20 minutes before finally talking to the hostess upon her return. She promised to find us a hostess, but that never happened, so we ordered drinks from the bartender since we were nearby. While ordering our second round, a waitress briefly inquired about food, but we declined, and she disappeared for the rest of the night. Throughout our visit, we noticed several people arriving and leaving with the same complaint about not receiving service. It didn't seem to be the servers' fault; it appeared to be a severe understaffing issue managed by the manager since the servers we did see were constantly rushing around. Before leaving, my husband mentioned that the restroom had slippery, dirty floors. We won't be back.

Food was pretty good! I got the pork, Mac n cheese, fries, and a side of grilled shrimp. I'd highly recommend it to anyone that is a fan of BBQ. The atmosphere is pretty cool too! I'll definitely be coming back.

I have been here multiple times, and I brought my friends for their first time. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. Our cocktails and mega drinks were also brought in a timely manner and were tasty as well. Our serve Trey was super nice and created a great atmosphere for us to enjoy our meal.

If you and your family/friends want to find a place with beachy vibes, good food with nice portions, and a clear view to the ocean, RipTydz is the place for you! My friends and I sat on their second floor and faced the ocean. The lobster roll and Mac and cheese were both tasty. My friends who have had lobster rolls from other places said this one was not the best because it had more meat than sauce. I would probably disagree since I enjoy and meaty texture of the lobster and dislike sauce personally. The music was great and our server was attentive in our needs. One caveat was that the server gave us broken to-go boxes when we wanted to pack our leftovers. Very small issue, so would still recommend for a casual dinner by the beach.

Every single oyster had sand, and shell fragments on the meat. They have no clue how to shull them properly. Drinks had no alcohol and were nasty. They charge an extra $10 for your drink to be served in a frozen pineapple, and they don't tell you that. It's essentially garbage and a rip-off.

I'll mention this first since the bar tender wouldn't. They automatically pull 15% for the tip before they even start cooking the food, and they take your card. My cup was empty 2 times as shown in the photos. Other than that the food was good not great. Probably won't be back!
