Riscky’s in Fort Worth Celebrates 95 Years of Barbecue | Eater Dallas

"Opened by Polish immigrants Mary and Joe Riscky as the original grocery and deli, this location still operates a deli counter and continues the old-fashioned tradition of serving chopped sandwiches at a very low price (four for $5), preserving the neighborhood roots that helped establish the larger barbecue business." - Courtney E. Smith

Let's just say I've been going there since I was a little kid with my parents and grandparents we lived right down the street from the original location . Was in the mood for barbecue and hadn't been there in a while so I figured I'd stop in. I checked the special board and it's the normal two meats three sides 17.99. normal price for barbecue. When I got my plate see picture. Had two little pieces of brisket and thin slice pieces of turkeys you can see. I figured it not being so busy my food would be hot unfortunately it was not. Pea salad was blah. Green beans same and they couldn't mess up the coleslaw it was okay but anyways I was saying I've been going there forever I'll probably be the last time I'll go. just a fair warning to everybody if you set the bar low you will not be disappointed. And I rated the atmosphere one star because I guess the kitchen was having a good time slamming things on the wall and making all kinds of racket like they were under construction it just wasn't very relaxing and business like

We had Riscky's cater our company Thanksgiving lunch today for 160 employees in two separate deliveries. From service to food, it was an exceptionally great experience from start to finish. I did a lot of research prior to booking, and you can't beat the caliber and variety of food you receive for the affordability. I worked directly with Allen Turner and received incredible customer service. Allen was impressively patient, accommodating, and responsive to all of my communication. Thank you, Allen, and thank you Riscky's for making our company Thanksgiving celebration such a wonderful, easy experience!

I hadn’t been here in a couple of months, and it looks like things have changed. They’re getting a bit stingy with the food now. No more pickles or onions unless you pay extra. They used to have them available by the soda machine for anyone to grab. Kinda disappointing to see the service go backwards like that.

Just avoid this place. The sausage was clearly Ekrich Polska Kielbasa. The potato salad was whipped into oblivion except the big raw onion dices. The pinto beans were clearly out of a can, but if not, this means they do absolutely no seasoning. At all. I had to dump salt in to make them taste like anything. They forgot to include sauce in my delivery order. The bread was 20% toasted. I don't know what happened to Risckys, but just avoid this location. Perhaps others are better.

Discovered this place by accident and we are so pleased we found them! They’ve been in business for 97 years and are family owned. I had the burnt ends, and green beans, which were delicious! My husband had a chopped beef sandwich, which was excellent. Jody, the manager, was so welcoming and helpful with menu suggestions. We’ll definitely be back!

Good food. I had the 2 meat which comes with 3 sides. I got the Sausage and Brisket and ordered fries, fried artichoke, and potatoe salad. Comes with toast. I wasn't a fan of the potato salad, each person likes it a different way, but the fries and artichoke was great. Brisket was awesome. Sausage wasn't bad. Ordered a drink as well. Cost was under $25 including tax & tip. Lots of antiques to look at and talk about. Very unique pieces.

Ivan and Jody i just want to take this time to say, the food was was delicious potato salad, the Green Beans are amazing. The the Pinto beans were so delicious. The onions, the pickles, the sauce. Above all, just mix so well the sausage. Oh, it was so good. Thank you so much for the great service. You provided, the price was excellent. You can't beat that $one5 for that much food plus the paper plates and cups and forks and knives. Everything thank you so much, and we'll be back again.
