Rise & Shine A Steak And Egg Place

Everything about this place was fantastic, but we felt a little “nickel-and-dimed” on the bill. Two bucks for a little side of salsa, almost seven bucks to add a couple eggs and bacon to a waffle. Just seemed a little much, spoiling an otherwise superb experience.

We were seated quickly, it was very busy. Got kid friendly crafty stuff while we wait for food. The eggs were dry, not exactly my favorite. The bacon was perfect and the chocolate cookie pancakes were mostly good minus the middle being kinda mushy. The restaurant looked very colorful and unique. Service was great even though it was busy, they were on top of everything. Overall not bad.

Could not have been more impressed! Fresh foods, Bananas Foster Waffle (squee!), Crispy Chicken and Egg Skillet, and Steak Omelette (which had a sliced New York Strip on top. She brought a little thing of gravy because she said the skillet looked a little dry. Our glasses were never less than half full (most places you have to ask for refills anymore). Cruise Ship standard service (they wear pajamas!), and the place was decorated tastefully, since it used to be a Joe's Crab Shack. Karen was our server and was absolutely delightful! Soooo it started off good. I saw other African American families coming out of the restaurant. We making eye contact like Yeah this is it!!! Until it wasn’t. The food was unfriendly. No flavor. Messy. Large portions of soggy waffles with melted whipped cream every where. The children’s plate had teeny tiny portions at almost the same rate. Our other food was either undercooked or burnt. Sloppily served we waited over 45 minutes for the food. Our ticket disappeared and we had a verbal bill. I waited almost an hour to get a printed bill with them refusing to get an on duty manager. We ended up still hungry with less money and grumpy kids. It’s a no for me. Period

Why limit 5 stars when it deserves more! Our server Karen was so delightful, they all usually are, she takes the cake in customer service, she was quick and attentive. Food was great! Try their cup-o-bread for a sweet treat , it is everything that a Cinnabon would be in a cup! Walked out so content with my experience, with a happy and full tummy! Love the atmosphere 💕

Steak and eggs are featured here so we had one and the steak cooked just right and a nice smoky grilled flavoring.

Great food and amazing service! Our server Karen went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top notch! Servings are generous and the food was great!
