"Located on Highway 99 in Edmonds, Rise and Shine meets wholesale demand for crackly baguettes while also serving rotating specials like banh mi chao (“breakfast” skillet), bo ne (Vietnamese beef stew), and banh mi made from the baguettes. All the sandwiches, including the lemongrass-infused grilled beef, the tofu and mushroom, and grilled pork and fried egg, are freshly prepared." - Jay Friedman, Eater Staff

15 Vibrant Vietnamese Restaurants in Seattle

"Rise and Shine is Mai Tran’s unassuming bakery in Edmonds where virtually everything is made in house, including the bread for the banh mi. Soup options like bun bo hue and northern-style pho feature long-cooked broths. There’s woven vermicelli noodles with pork belly bearing the crispiest crackle, and banh mi chao with mackerel or sardines makes for a homestyle breakfast available all day long. Even the sweet treats like fresh taro buns and cakes come straight from the Rise and Shine ovens. Tran delivers everything with her signature kind service." - Jay Friedman

Google
This place has the best bun bo hue in Seattle. You can choose your spice level from 1 to 5. The dish is loaded with meat and the broth is incredibly flavorful. The portion might be a bit small for an adult man, but most people end up ordering more than one dish anyway. The meatballs with homemade tomato sauce were delicious—slightly sweet, but perfect with a fresh baguette on the side. They also offer a variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes. Next time, I'll try the pork banh mi since it seemed very popular among other diners.

Google
Incredible Vietnam food here. A lot of authentic dishes. Tried Banh Mi Chao Sardine and the weekend special Vietnam shaken beef and they are both delicious. Very welcoming staff. A Vietnam food lover finally found this gem in Seattle!!

Google
Crispy pork belly noodle is colorful and delicious. This dish is composed of varies vegi and mango. Perfect balance of salty and sweet.

Google
I love the banh mi's here but I've never tried the pho here before. Loved the pho! The broth was very good and not oily at all. Brisket and steak were very flavorful.

Google
Simply best out of best Vietnamese restaurant in the area. Service is great, food is delicious so we go back pretty much every weekend! Make sure to try their specials and ice coffee as well!!

Google
Love going here! I usually get the five spice tofu sandwich. So good! Fresh bread and ingredients. Their pastries are also delicious. Reasonably priced ($2.75) and so many fun flavors to try! The owners are kind and personable. I have been here several times since discovering it a couple months ago and am always greeted with a smile.

Google
This place is a hidden gem….We wanted a quick place to eat lunch and came across this place and let me tell you this was not a disappointment. The moment we walked in it was clean quiet and smelled good. We sat down and order the service was pleasant the food was outstanding for a Vietnamese sandwich shop. I recommend the crunchy pork belly sandwich it was amazing. We will definitely be back I also highly recommend this place.

Google
This is the only Bahn Mi I have liked in the Seattle area. Bread is fresh and soft, pork is flavorful with pickled veggies. Other very popular places I have been disappointed with hard bread, not enough meat or veggies, too much mayonnaise. This place is exactly what I expect, and not overpriced.

Yelp
In short Holy cow this place gets packed! Easy to see why once you try a sandwich. In long It's a funky old building with kind of a weird long dining room right on 99, then an upstairs that must be...their office? I dunno, but you walk right by the staircase when you come in. It's chained off and marked "private." :-) Before you come in, though, you're lucky if you score parking. I would have left but I had to wait for people to turn around before I could turn around. That took so long that a spot opened up. Score! There's a long line of tables by the windows, and a big bustling counter area off to your left. They have a couple TVs, maybe showing the ballgame with the sound off. They do run specials, and this weekend they had a vermicelli bowl and a pho. I suppose they probably run variations of those pretty regularly, but as a first-timer, I really wanted to check out a sandwich. The service here is right on point, though the crowds get heavy. I was here at 2:15 on a Sunday afternoon, more than an hour after lunch would have died down, I figured. And like I said, the parking lot (and every other area, too) was a zoo. They got my order within a couple minutes, and within a couple more minutes they were out clearing tables. Couple minutes more, there's my sandwich and my coffee. And that's the most important part--the sandwich is amazing. Great flaky crunchy bread, cold cuts bursting with flavor, nice fresh crunchy veg and nice bright flavors from the mayo. Really good stuff and a very fair price. I don't know how often I will try to park here again, but they do deliver, so I imagine I'll be getting their sandwiches pretty regularly.

Yelp
every time i stop for a bowl of pho, i am distracted by the daily or weekend special. i'm not complaining. the specials are getting better and better and better, so whenever i see something new, i am compelled to try it. service is always welcoming and gracious. the specials are fresh and made to order. i have never been disappointed. recent specials recommendations: bun rieu: if you hear this is the special, drop everything and run, don't walk to enjoy this. this is not your everyday bun rieu. shaking beef with rice: tasty tender beef tossed and nestled in a bowl of fresh vegetables, herbs and a fried egg. fried fish with tumeric and dill: trust me on this. bun bo hue: my favorite go-to as usual go early or later-after lunch for to grab a table

Yelp
Banh Mi's were tasty but it took a long time for the food to come out. I think it might be a one or two person in the back prepping the fresh foods. I tried the pho, i don't recommend it. Banh Mi's are probably the better items to select from. They also sell macaroon and desserts. Service is polite and kind. They did not ask for a tip when paying. They did warn the wait was about 40 min long. Parking lot is small and we were instructed we can park next door by the Les Schwab tire shop.

Yelp
Food, service and atmosphere are great. Very good place for light meals and excellent Vietnamese bakery goods.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch on a Wednesday . I got a tofu banh mi and my wife got a noodle soup. They bake their bread on-site and it was delicious - soft with a crisp crust. The veggies were fresh and the flavors were balanced. This isn't the best banh mi in Seattle but it's up there The soup was spicy and very filling. We also picked up some pastries for later. If you're in a hurry - call ahead. There were only 4 customers there but there was 20 min wait for food!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food and service every time! It's family owned and operated and the family makes you feel at home. Everything is made fresh daily including the bread and pastries. We come every week now. Try the sandwiches and Vietnamese Coffee!!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this place and am so glad a friend recommended it! All the banh mi are delicious, as well as the fresh rolls. Service is friendly and welcoming. They also make their own bread and have a nice selection of homemade pastries. If you want a wider selection of pastries, come earlier in the day.
google avatar

Aiko S.

Yelp
The prices unmatched. Considering they just rose price is given all the inflation. I will continue to support this place. The bread is baked fresh and so are the pastries. The food is so good. I can't wait for my next meal. There's plenty of seating to dine in, or you can take your meal to go.

Yelp
Banh mi and pastries are amazing. The bread is soft and crunchy, and the fillings were generous and well balanced with the mayo. I tried a couple of pastries, and the pandan was my favorite. I felt like the cream cheese ones lacked filling though. Service was super friendly. Be careful of the wait during peak hours for banh mi though!

Yelp
If you're craving some good bahn mi sandwiches, this is the place to go! Their banh mi has been my favorite so far out of all the places I tried in Lynnwood/Edmonds or even just all of Seattle area! The bun bo hue was so good and flavorful too. Price is good for what you get!! I definitely recommend this spot!

Yelp
The order was beef plate. I'm used to short ribs rice plates at Vietnamese spots but this was just as good. Very fresh. Amazing service, succinct details of the food. My wife ordered a Banh mi for work to go and the worker/owner guy asked if she was eating it today or later on and he separated the ingredients so the bread won't get soggy. AMAZING attention to detail and truly caring about the customer. I've never heard anyone ask such things. His conversation, his responses, etc were very simple and very very genuine. He wasn't corny or a try-hard or extra. Very impressive. When we walked in, a lady was profusely complimenting him and saying "we appreciate you so much" etc. As we were finishing up, another customer engaged him in conversation about food and how he learned about Rise & Shine through a local foodie influencer and the worker was explanation his selection and expectations of the bread he chooses for his Banh mi. Pretty cool. Tasteful, simple decor. You can sense his passion for the food and the business. GREAT place.
google avatar

Bryan K.

Yelp
Some of the best banh mi and Vietnamese coffee around. If you get the banh mi to go you can request to separate the veggies from the sandwich so the bread doesn't get soggy. They wrap it up really nice. I also tried the pho here which is Northern style. It comes with a few cuts of beef and the broth is light and herbaceous. Will come back to try more hot food. Very friendly service. They make you feel welcome.

Yelp
I love this place! The good food and good vibes. Their menu is pretty impressive, with rotating options on the weekends. We came near closing and their banh mi bread was still warm, fluffy, and soft with a nice toasted exterior. Which makes sense since we got their baked goods while waiting and they were delicious too! The pandan one reminded me of banh kep which I enjoyed. What's impressive is they got a steady stream of people ordering to go and the staff was very welcoming. Honestly feels like a family owned business who just want to showcase delicious Vietnamese food. One of my favorites and my new go to for banh mi when I'm in the area. We wanted the crispy pork skin banh mi but they ran out so we plan to be back to try that! Their banh mi has all the staple ingredients such as pate, soy sauce, mayo, and whatever other stuff you ordered. My personal preference, I wish there was a bit more Mayo/butter for that creamy taste but how they do it here is good for their own style which I can respect. This place doesn't do any of the hype/trends and are just trying to deliver good food. I support this place 100% and I hope you enjoy it too :)

Yelp
Omgoodness... you would never think this unassuming hole-in-the-wall would have such amazing sandwiches but it's soooooo good. The French bread as people have shared in the posts is super fresh. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. I gotta admit, I was skeptical and was expecting stale French bread but it was just the opposite!! Also the pork belly even though it's $10 and an upgrade from the grilled pork for $6.50 it's SO WORTH IT. Pork belly crust is also crunchy, flavorful and fatty parts melt in your mouth. Also, I told the cashier guy we were late for a reservation at 12:15. The place was busy on a Saturday. I walked in at 12 and he said there were a few more orders ahead of me and I needed to wait 15-20 mins but he was so sweet and made my order first!!!! I got it in less than 5 mins. The cashier is not only manning the register but also making the sandwiches and taking orders. This guys a hero. Anyway thank youuuuuu. I will be back!!!!!

Yelp
Let me tell you the good things first. A year ago, I told you the truth. The food is fabulous. The hours are good. The bathroom is clean. There is parking if you go during **off peak** times. Most of the those things are still the same. Here is an update. Sadly, within the last 6 weeks, the owner must have gotten tired and very sad about certain things. She believes she must lecture to folks who can understand Vietnamese. Examples? [1] She became upset that some folks would make phone orders and not pick up their sandwiches. I got the lecture about "Please don't call in orders if you're *not* going to pick it up." I've never called in an order. I've come in; paid for my food. Ate it, cleaned up what I could, thanked them and left. [2] She has a high need to over explain and complain. She doesn't have adequate boundaries within her conversation. If I don't want to eat bean sprouts in this or that; or if I prefer something and not the other; none of which is a special request ... eventually, she will do what's asked but you must endure an earful before you get your food. English speakers & those who do not understand The Viet Language do not have to endure the lectures. Please, If you have it; sell it. I don't need a big lecture about how she makes the food; the fact that she can't make anything super fast; that I've possibly come at a bad time, etc. Your business hours are when you are "open for business." Let's do business more professionally. If you are the business owner; Offer an item. If you have it available, simply say "Yes, it's available." If you don't have the item in inventory, simply reply, "No we are out of stock." Please let the customer pay for the item and ask for whatever they wish -- if their wish is unreasonable, let them know that. Please MOVE ON from the lectures, complaining and unnecessary talk. You have a product; sell it. Let the customer order; take their money and let them eat. That's it. Please stop over-complicating things. Life is too short. Either you do have or do not have an item to sell. Please, if you have a need to lecture; please do so to your children. Please refrain from the same antics with your customers. Thank you.

Yelp
5 stars with 229 (well, now 230) reviews? I thought it might be a fluke, so I convinced my friend Chris to go for a visit. I came in with high expectations and was definitely not disappointed. Had pastries and lemongrass tofu plate with fried egg - both beat my already high expectations. I even liked the pickled diakon, which I normal feel ambivalent about. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Extremely hard to find off heading south on Hwy 99. It is just beyond the tall orange self-storage garage marquee sign (see photos). Yet, this place is even harder to pass up. This place isn't much from the insides and even less from the outside. But what appears to be a just a humble and low key mother and son business is really a great place to bring the entire family to taste Vietnamese sandwiches and coffee. This place is so good. It's a buried treasure. I wish I could invest in the business and move it into a place that is effortless to visit. Maybe even kick the tires and rev that engine--as if I were a bootlegging southern in a muscle car--of their food truck out back. It like a visiting a puppy farm. The food is that good. My tummy is that happy. I ordered the grilled Pork & fried egg Banh Min sandwich (I am on a passionate palate quest for these of late), a Vietnamese coffee, and pork, sausage, and onion bun to go. Though the sandwich lacked in quantity. The quality was there. Delicious x3.

Yelp
The sweetest and kindest people who makes amazing food consistently! They just don't miss and you are safe with pretty much any dish you choose. The portions are big and the prices are reasonable. This is one of our favorite Vietnamese restaurant, and we've had a lot of Vietnamese food!! The atmosphere is casual and chill.

Yelp
Delicious family owned Banh Mi shop tucked in behind a storage place on Aurora (southbound side). They were moderately slammed when my spouse and I showed up and the food still arrived quickly and piping hot. I got the pork & fried egg sammy and it was AWESOME. Spouse was happy with their sandwich as well, but the real scene stealer for her was the Coconut Coffee. The first sip caused closed eyes and a low breathy "oh f**k that's good". 11 out of seven stars would sandwich again!

Yelp
Great food here! I love sandwiches and good bread. I had the crunchy pork belly banh mi. As I walked in, I looked at the menu and was going to order the grilled mackerel with homemade tomato sauce. The person in front of me asked the young man taking orders, what he would recommend. He said anything with pork. So I switched my order to pork belly sandwich and a bowl of pho. He said the wait was about 20 minutes. I took the time to look at all the different pastries they have. They had such a wide variety of choices, both savory and sweet. Almost tempted to buy one and eat it, except I ordered a lot of food. They even had mango pudding and homemade yogurt. Got my pho and bahn mi at the same time. The sandwich was my favorite. It had a truly crunchy pork belly that added texture to the soft bread and crispy vegetables. One of those items you keep eating after you feel full, it tastes so good. The pho was rich in broth and noodles. Couldn't finish it all, so much soup. The staff were very helpful and I could see them patiently explaining the menu to newcomers. I will come back to try more items on their menu. I am relatively new to Vietnamese food. This was a great introduction, as I was hesitant to trying new dishes when I was really hungry. Would be fun to get one of their fruit drinks, yogurt mango pudding and a few pastries for lunch. There must have been 30 different types of fresh pastries there.

Yelp
Still the best Bahn Mi around :-) The owners treat you like family, very kind and caring people!

Sabrina H.

Yelp
This review is long overdue. I always forget to take a pic before I eat my sandwich so I never get the chance to leave a review with a pic lol. This is by far my all time favorite Bahn Mi spot! They seriously put love into what they make. I could eat the 5 spice tofu bahn mi every single day for the rest of my life, that's how good we're talking! And on top of that, their service is amazing! 10/10 for sure!

Yelp
Wow the food is delicious. Banhmi is a steal of a deal, it's sooooooo delicious!!! Will always order. The best banhmi open in the Seattle area. Don't miss it. This place is a 5/5 for a reason. Mom and son run the entire operation!!! Homemade bread baked fresh. Edmonds / Shoreline needed a good Vietnamese place. It's easy to miss on hwy 99 so look for the sign outside "Rise and Shine Bakery" in blue!!! Their breads are good too, the standout is cream cheese and pork floss bread..it's a little pricey but a savory good treat. If I have to give 1 con: too many menus!! There's 2 daily special menus. There's a separate drink menu..there's a to go menu... there's the regular menu ..and there's the hot food (pho) menu.... They do too much that's why there's so many menus. I wish they had the menu in 1 place so I can see all they do. It's a full fledge restaurant with baked goods at this point.

Yelp
It might be hard to spot the entrance but don't miss out!!! My parents and I always order the same things from them: Beef banh-mis & pork/egg banh-mi. We come here a lot --The banh-mis are just soooo good. Highly recommend if you are in the Edmonds area! Also, the guy who works in the front is super friendly and attentive. I swear he remembers everyone's order even when they're really busy. Kudos to him he's the goat

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal! It was my first time trying this place and their bahn mi was super delicious. I ordered their chicken and lemongrass pork to go and both were equally as amazing. Their price point is suppppeeerr reasonable - each were 6.50 I believe, before tax + tip. This is a great place to take to go if you're planning to go somewhere - The only downside to this place was that it is easy to miss the entrance :)
google avatar

Yelp
Rise and Shine bakery is pretty good. I tried the grilled pork sandwich which was great. The pork was a tad bit salty but I didn't mind it with the vegetables and bread. The bread was the clear winner here. The vegetables were fresh and looked great. My husband got the pho bac. He said it was average and preferred it more meaty. The broth was light and well seasoned. It was pretty good for a deli/bakery place in my opinion. Price was very reasonable. I also ordered the coconut pandan roll. It was okay. It tasted like how I imagined it to be. Nothing too exciting. Husband ordered two vietnamese iced coffees. Must be good if he ordered two. The owner Mai and the server were very nice. We will be back again.

Yelp
First time there and will go back soon! Good food and great service, Family Friendly: Yes Parking: Yes, but small Pet Friendly: No, indoor seating only with no room for outdoor seating. FOOD: 1. Banh mi - special combo (Vietnamese meat loaf slices) $8.50: 5 Star - OMG THE BREAD WAS AMAZING!! I think they make their bread in-house as all their pastry/buns are. The bread has the nice crusty exterior with pillow soft and light interior. It's the perfect bread LOL Great ratio to bread, meat, pickle daikon/carrots, and herbs. 2. Banh mi - grilled pork and fried egg $7.50: 5 stars - The bread is that good that I have to say it again - AMAZING! Like the combo banh mi, the ratio of filling to bread was perfect. The pork had great flavor and the egg was a good compliment. 3. Special of the day: Steamed bun crunchy pork belly $9.00: 4 Stars - Great little 4 bao buns - so uniform that it makes me think it was store bought. Either way good ratio of bread, sauce/spread, pickled veggies, and pork. My only ding would be if they provide you with a bigger piece of crispy pork belly. They provide you with two thin slices. 4. Daily special: Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef and pork noodle soup) $14.00: 3 Star - I was so happy they had Bun Bo Hue! The flavor was great, and they gave me the spice level I wanted! However, Bun Bo Hue usually consists of multiple slices of beef shanks, oxtail, pork hock, sausage, and pork blood. I got a slice of meatloaf slice, one pork hock, and one beef shank... Despite the flavor, I probably wont order this again. The banh mi is definitely the way to go. RESTAURANT / MENU: This restaurant has been on my list to visit for a while but heard there is usually a line and sells out of items early. We finally took a risk and go for lunch the other day and it was pretty dead. The restaurant is a free-standing building immediately off the 99. You cant miss it though since its this bright yellow little building. Inside it's a nice, clean, small restaurant. The menu is pretty straight forward. You can find all their banh mi options on the tv screen behind the cashier, two chalk board with their daily specials, and a bunch of large studio-quality photos that list their rice and noodle options. SERVICE: There was one person working the cashier. He was very helpful and friendly - he's also the person that will take your order at the cashier and makes the banh mi. There were folks in the back but there isn't really much interaction.

Yelp
I'm now here every weekend for Mai's special. Usually noodle based, but the similarities end there. Every bowl has been a rich, flavor packed soul satisfying dish. One time was fried soft shell crab, another was pork and seafood, but one bowl with ground pork, char sui, and meatballs made the top of my "favorite soup ever" list. Deep, rich meat broth, perfect noodles, and a plate of basil, mint, and cabbage dumped in for more flavor and crunch. I am always greeted warmly and feel like family there. Mai mentioned that what she serves on weekends is typical Vietnamese lunch. I want to be adopted by these folks!

Yelp
It just is consistently excellent. Pastries are so light and delicious - perfect! We've also started getting vermicelli bowls and they are AMAZING- perfect light dressing, crisp mango, cucumber, lettuce, bell peppers and amazing tofu. I would give 10 stars if I could. This is just consistently 100% delicious and worth the money to eat out. It's clean and has an amazing family creating the food and positive atmosphere. Order for your next event, get work catering or make it part of your weekly menu.

Yelp
I had been dine in at Rise & Shine Bakery/restaurant two consecutive Saturdays, and I enjoyed what I ordered so far. Especially on their Weekend Special "Banh Canh" and as well as Order-To-Go. The young man in the front is very sweet and friendly to every customers. My only negative comments - I hope the owners would consider to hire additional helpers in the kitchen and front, because foods came out very slow, and I feel sorry to Poor Young Man that he seems has to running around by himself as super busy, from taking orders, preparing drinks, making banh mi, etc. I hope the owners don't feel offended from my comments, just meant for advice.

Yelp
The bread baked by the owner pushes the Bahn mi here to the top of my list of sandwich restaurants. There are also pastries and bubble tea.
google avatar

Jimmy N.

Yelp
I came here for Bun Mam, but it wasn't on the daily special. The family prepared it for their own dinner and said they would serve it to me but it would be missing some ingredients. Luckily they're the nicest ppl ever! The Bun was great and very traditional. The sandwich my friend had was also amazing, he said it's one of the best he's had. Bread was on point.

Yelp
Can't believe I hadn't been here before! But, Mike S.'s review(s) really intrigued me... 55 check-ins! I figured this place MUST be good and it was! We came on Sunday evening around 5:30 (they close at 6:00), so they were sold out of everything but some of the banh mi (happy for them that they're so busy!) We got the meatball banh mi and the pork belly banh mi, which the owner, Mai, recommended. Both were fantastic! Love how the bread is soft vs. crunchy (hate when it scrapes the roof of your mouth!). The seasoning was great and the pork belly was so crunchy and delicious). The meatballs were tasty as well. The restaurant/cafe is spacious and comfortable (I never went to the former location but apparently this one is much larger). As others have mentioned, if it is your first time, you get to choose a free pastry, which is a nice perk! Next time, I'd like to try the special (sounds like there is something different each day) along with the pho or bun bo hue, etc. The owner, Mai, was super friendly and we were able to chat with her for quite a while. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

David F.

Yelp
The combo banh mi hit all the notes. Unctuous meats with fresh herbs and a slightly sweet umami laden sauce on a very fresh baguette. The bread was light as a feather with a crackling crust. I'll be back to try more.

Yelp
Living far from my mom's cooking, R&S Bakery always delivers with bringing that homey feel back. We've been to her shoreline location and finally to the new Edmonds location. Glad to see the staple menu has expanded with soups! We ordered the bun Bo hue, pho beef, and grilled pork banh mi (banh mi thit nuong). Everything we've ordered here has been great so far and we can't wait to visit more often and order more. Cam on chi!

Yelp
Bakery was very good and decently priced. Very fast and friendly service. I do recommend eating here alone or with friends and family.

Yelp
My bf and I were going to grab subway or something on our way out of town and I routed us here instead haha This place is CONSISTENTLY. GREAT. The bf hadn't been here before or seen the building really and was pleasantly suprised - we got chicken and beef Bahn Mi and everything was out quickly and was super fresh and delicious. Yelp
Atmosphere was warm and family friendly. The staff are wonderful. We had an egg and a pork and egg sandwich. The bread....oh man! Really good sandwich! Coffee was excellent as well.

Yelp
This place was a hidden gem! The workers were kind, and the Pho Bac was delicious. The broth was yummy, noodles were a great texture, and the beef was delicious as well. They even added meatballs in it which I've never really seen in pho! My boyfriend and I both ordered the Pho Bac, and agreed it was one of the best pho's we've ever had. I would give this place 5 stars, but unfortunately, my boyfriend felt really sick after we ate here and had bad stomach issues. We think he must've had a bad batch of either the beef or the broth and got food poisoning. It was unfortunate, because we both loved the food so we'll see if we come back.

Yelp
I would rate this 10 stars if I could. Service was incredible. They made sure we got exactly what we wanted and checked in with us after getting our sandwiches to make sure we liked them too. The bread was amazing, it was soft and crunchy! This is now my go-to spot!

Yelp
Weeeeee~ Today was their soft re-opening, and we got one fried egg, one pork and one beef banh mi. All were wonderful. The egg was cooked perfectly, and the meats were seasoned perfectly as well. We requested no mayo or jalapenos, and all sandwiches got jalapenos but those are easy enough to pick out. The sauce in these was dang good, and the bread wasn't too soft or too crispy. For around $20, we're pretty happy with what we got! We hope to return and try some of their pastries. Pretty slim pickins since we went later in the day. But we shall be back. Mark my words. Excited to have yet another bangin' banh mi place on 99.

Yelp
A surprise. Found them on yelp, while looking for a lunch spot. I had a mackerel soup bowl and it was delicious. The bowl is a kind of deceiving as it is not as deep as it looks. However, the food portion is enough. I didn't feel like I was still hungry after finishing it. They also give you some bread to go with it which I used to slop up the residual stew when I finished the bowl. It was really good and it had a raw egg on it. Not sure when I will return, because I don't live in Seattle. But if I am in the area or you are in the area, I would definitely stop by. The price was also reasonable, restaurant is not fancy but very clean and neat. Staff was very friendly and professional. 5.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place on a whim due to buying a vehicle through APX dealership next store, and this restaurant by far is so so so good. The owners and son are genuinely very nice, a very hospitable family, julia and I love the fresh rolls, chicken bahn mi's, and more! it's so good we've been back like 3 times and we live on the east side, will be back later today :) you guys are amazing thank you!

Yelp
Authentic Vietnamese bakery and cafe, offering banh mi, pho, fresh rolls, plate lunches, and specialty coffee/tea/fruit drinks. They have an impressive bakery case, featuring breads and pastries of many flavors. The interior is a mostly undecorated 90's diner (aside from a custom neon piece and astroturf wall), but it's charming. Both the Thai Milk Tea and Ca Phe Sua Da (Vietnamese Iced Coffee) were excellent. Sweet, creamy, and strong, as they should be. I was pleased to see multiple meatless Banh Mi options on the menu. I opted for the Vegetarian Five Spice Tofu, which was delicious. Fresh bread, crisp pickled vegetables and jalapeño, aromatic herbs, and flavorful tofu. 10/10. It was difficult to choose a pastry, as everything looked great. Unfortunately, the attractive swirled Black Sesame croissant I opted for was terrible. It had a bitter, raw rough taste, and the texture of a refrigerated hot dog bun. Regardless, I would come back and try another pastry next time.

Yelp
This is one of the greatest bakeries in the area. Super fresh and absolutely delish... We ordered a number of pastries - including the coconut cream, guava cream and coconut bun as well as the special combo banh mi. Just super fresh and perfect dough for the pastries. The banh mi - smallish in size - but very balanced in the amount of cold cuts and veggies. Way out of Seattle proper but truly worth the drive.

Yelp
I've bought the pho takeout for myself and family. We have pho frequently, this was one of the best I've ever had. I'm not crazy about the meat balls so I fished them out. My grandson ate them pretty quickly. The next day we tried the sandwiches. They were also top notch and so very reasonably priced. The staff is so nice.

Yelp
I've only had Bahn Mi so far and they are excellent, with lots of choices and options. The young man that works there is very friendly and thoughtful. I love this place.

Yelp
The best Vietnamese banh mi in town. I've never had any banh mi that tasted as close to what I used to have back in Vietnam, most of them lack of flavor and meat too thick or overcooked. The smoothies are made from real fruit guys. Don't miss out this! A Banh mi + A Drink = A list for me. Will come back again! ( I was too hungry forgot taking pictures )

Yelp
So tasty! Great tofu banh mi. The pastries looked delicious as well! They had a few dining specials that I would have loved to check out if we weren't just stopping by to grab something quick to go. Very friendly employees as well!
