I've eaten at this place quite a bit over the years. My mother used to go there all the time to meet friends and have breakfast. One of her friends, at one point, knew the owner. She also likes to eat breakfast at lunch or dinner time which is typically why we would go there together. There aren't too many options for breakfast outside of breakfast time. I'd say over the past year or two the place had gotten horrible, and I would refuse to eat there. She was craving breakfast and wanted to go there Saturday afternoon for breakfast and I reluctantly said yes. As she was ordering, she ordered things that she used to, and I had to remind her that she didn't like particular things, like the onions in the eggs and potatoes. We both like cheese and onions in our eggs and potatoes. In the past they were cooked on the flat top, usually burnt and overly greasy and slimy. We both didn't like them. She got them anyway. I ordered the breakfast quesadillas. When the food came out, it looked completely different than it used to. The onions in her eggs looked like they were raw or slightly cooked, which is what we like. The breakfast potatoes used to be grilled or baked and were typically undercooked and over-seasoned. These looked like they were fried and golden-brown. I ordered the hashbrowns and they looked 10 times better than they used to. I took the first bite of my quesadilla and it was pretty damn good. I tried the hashbrowns and they were even better. I even had to try my mother's breakfast potatoes, and they were perfect. This was completely different than our previous experiences. We asked the waitress if they had a new owner and she said yes, about two years ago. As we were paying the tab, I told the waitress that this was a much better experience than it used to be and that the food actually tasted good. My mother asked did you get a new manager or a new cook. The waitress said we got rid of all the cooks in the kitchen. We both said that was a great decision and that now, we wouldn't hesitate coming back. On the way out, we also noticed that they were expanding into the adjacent building, so things are clearly looking up. At this point, I would highly recommend.
