Where to Order Delivery in Nashville, According to a Country Singer | Eater

"If Walls starts her day with a Postmates order from Rise, one thing’s for certain: “I either stayed out too late last night or worked my butt off and don’t have the energy to cook in the A.M.” The self-proclaimed “simp for Southern food” orders the righteous chicken biscuit and cheese grits." - Rebecca Strassberg

I truly wanted to love this place--after all, it's not every day you crave biscuits. The sandwiches and dishes looked absolutely amazing, so I had high expectations. Unfortunately, I left feeling a bit disappointed. I ordered the Chicken Box, which came with four chicken fingers. They were just okay--nothing particularly memorable. For my sides, I had a blueberry biscuit, which was decent with a nice glaze, and fried okra, which didn't quite hit the mark--I've definitely had better. The biscuits themselves were drier than expected and lacked buttery flavor I was hoping for. On a bright side, the maple-glazed donut topped with Cap'n Crunch cereal was a standout--delicious but overwhelmingly sweet. Overall, while there were some highlights, I was left wanting more from the experience. :/

Google
Close to Broadway, clean, small place so you don’t really want to sit and stay awhile. When you come in you order through a tablet, which is fine. I ordered donuts, the maple bacon was good (they put a whole piece of bacon on it, that’s the way to do it) and the biscuit dough beignets were so good! Made fresh. Service was friendly. Would try again for the biscuit sandwiches.

Google
I stopped in for a quick breakfast during CMA Fest. There was no line to order and food was quick. The sandwich was great. The biscuit was delicious.

Google
Stopped in before CMS Fest on a Friday morning at 10.45am. Ordering was easily done on a self service screen. Got our order after 5 minutes, they'll call your name. To go orders can be picked up in cubbies to the right of the counter. Food was hot and delicious. Chicken was juicy, medium amount of breading. Tots were a little salty but they are seasoned tots after all. Cinnamon roll was small but the perfect size and delicious! Blueberry muffin was awesome too. I'd definitely return!

Google
Orders Uber eats in the morning, got a chicken box. Just wanted to try it out. The chicken was fried in some old OLD grease (how is it old at 9am?) and the tots are so heavily salted they can't be eaten. The best thing about this was the sauces! These dark overcooked tenders were not good. The chicken smells like... Car exhaust fumes.

Google
OMG get the blueberry biscuit/donut. It’s amazing. When they’re hot and fresh that’s the best. Highly recommend this place. If you’re not gonna do the blueberry biscuit start with the standard biscuit sandwich with the honey. I didn’t care for the beignets. I think there’s better places for those in the world, but you cannot go wrong with anything else.

Jazmine Warrick

Google
Nbs the staff was friendly, the wait was small; however we paid for about $50 worth of food, and everything except the tots and the box was cold. This place used to be one of my favorites, but if I’m gonna pay $12 for a biscuit I’d at least prefer for it to be hot. Like the cheese wasn’t even melted and the presentation was giving very much thrown together.

Google
I so want to give this place a better review, but our experience was horrible. First thing there is no one at the front counter, there are no directions there is in fact only one worker in sight, and he is running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Then both of the terminals that you are supposed to use to order are not working. Next is that everything on the menu is listed with only the most basic of ingredients, so lets say you want to add lettuce and tomato that's an extra $2. No warning, just the price is now higher. Then even the items listed on the menu don't come with the sandwiches, like the sauce or pickles on the righteous bird. And lastly in the issues here, everything is broken. The water fountain sprayed me instead of filling up the cup, there was no coffee, the bathroom doors didn't lock. But on to the food we got the chix & girts box, the righteous chicken sandwich, the biscuit cinnamon roll and the blueberry beignet. The sandwich is ok but it falls apart the second you pick it up. The chix & grits was actually very good. The cinnamon roll was ok but not worth the calories or the price. The beignet was very tasty and the vanilla sauce that comes with them turns them into "poof" gone.

Yelp
NO CASH!!!!! Well, I always say in New York but I will admit not biscuits. This place is awesome . I walked from my Airbnb about 10 minutes to get to this place only to find out they don't take cash and all I had on me was a $20 bill. I begged the nice gentleman to take it and they did I got two sandwiches which came to 18 and change Gave them the 20 got home and found that the very kind gentleman threw me a blueberry biscuit thing along with the sandwiches. I'm not a big fan of baked blueberry stuff, but this biscuit or muffin or doughnut whatever it is was absolutely incredible

Yelp
Since the moment they open this location ambience is chill, needless to say I was hooked so let me tell you why. Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken is a fast-casual restaurant chain specializing in breakfast and lunch, known for its biscuits made from scratch and its "Righteous Chicken", which is antibiotic-free chicken brined in buttermilk before being fried to a crispy golden brown. They also offer sweet treats and coffee. Rise was founded in 2012 in Durham, North Carolina by a CIA-trained chef and started franchising in 2014. The company has been expanding to various locations across several states, including North Carolina, Kansas, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, California, and Florida. They offer a variety of biscuits, both plain buttermilk and cheddar, as well as unique options like the Glazed Blueberry Biscuit. Biscuit Sandwiches: These come with various fillings such as bacon, egg & cheese, country ham, sausage, fried green tomatoes, and their signature Righteous Chicken with pickles and Boom Boom sauce. Righteous Chicken: Their signature chicken is a popular menu item, served on biscuits or as strips with various toppings and sauces. Breakfast Boxes: These include options like grits or tots topped with eggs, protein, cheese, and sauces. You can get four chicken fingers with a biscuit, dipping sauce, and a choice of side. Sides: They offer sides like Cheesy Mac, Seasoned Tots, Jumbo Cheddar Tots, Crispy Fried Okra, Cheese Grits, Country Gravy, and Pimento Cheese. In addition to the Glazed Blueberry Biscuit, they have Cinnamon Biscuit Rolls and various Beignets, including plain, cinnamon sugar, and blueberry. Coffee: They serve Counter Culture Coffee, and some locations also offer canned coffee beverages like Draft Lattes. Rise offers several vegetarian options, including the Guacamole Smash Veggie, Fried Green Tomato Veggie, and Veggie Sausage, Egg & Cheese biscuits. They also have veggie versions of their chicken and grits boxes. Rise operates with a self-service model, where customers typically order at a kiosk. Some locations have seating, including indoor and outdoor options. I help feed the homeless and the owner of this place game me the left over donuts at the end of the day to share with the homeless community so kudos to give back the community.

Yelp
Travel Eats- Nashville. I'll get to the food in a second, but I want to start with the service model. I know the "order at a kiosk" model is getting popular, but it also is very "clunky". It seems like patrons could be served much more efficiently with traditional place an order at the counter model, but I digress. To the food. If you've read my reviews before you know that I have a love/hate relationship with biscuits. These were not bad and obviously very fresh. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, coffee, and tots. As with most biscuits it was dense and a little dry, but the cheddar cheese baked into the biscuit made it less dry than could have been. The egg and bacon used were perfectly cooked and complimented the ensemble flavor profile in a needed way. Bottom line WAY better than any of the fast food biscuit sandwiches, but wouldn't go out of my way to get it. It was great for being a block from my hotel on the way down to Broadway, so I'm not mad and I'd probably grab a quick bite here again if I was staying so close again.

Yelp
Best biscuits in Nashville hands down......Always hot and fresh, and the donuts and cinnamon rolls are made fresh every morning and are absolutely delicious!!!

Yelp
Got breakfast for the family here my last day in town, and it might have been the best place we ate at in Nashville. We got four different sandwiches. I had a bite of each, and enjoyed them all. The biscuits were pillowy soft and the chicken was super juicy. My favorite was the hot honey butter chicken biscuit. Prices are good, but service was a bit slow. The restaurant is pretty bare bones, but you can eat in. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely go back.
google avatar

Yelp
A FANTASTIC BISCUIT. And I'm a fan. Definitely will be coming back here again. I was begging God not to bring this chain in my area because I don't think I would be able to resist such a clutch meal...Then I realized there were 3 in my state already. Lord help me! Biscuit was soft, buttery, tasted homemade for sure. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. They choose a good bacon, not too thin. I got the blueberry biscuit which was bomb. I got the hot honey butter chicken biscuit which was dripping with honey butter in a beautiful way. Loved it.

Yelp
We wanted a quick breakfast so we stopped by for some biscuit sandwiches. My BEC biscuit came with a runny yolk (which I requested), but the yolk exploded all over before I opened the sandwich. The cheese was just slapped onto the biscuit and not melted. Not great. My husband's hot honey chicken sandwich came with cold chicken. The tator tots were good but how can you mess them up? We still ate it anyways because we were hungry but with all the options in Nashville for a great biscuit, I would skip this spot.

Yelp
We ordered biscuits from here and they were delicious! I had the righteous chicken and it was amazing! Very tasty and fresh. Would recommend and would come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty tasty righteous chicken biscuit sandwich! Got it with eggs, pickles, lettuce, and tomatoes. I was surprised I didn't end up with grease all over my hands lol. The biscuit didn't hold up as well as I had expected and crumbled almost right away. Still delicious. Ordered a side of fried okra and tater tots. Even after a good chunk of time the food stayed crunchy.

Yelp
Had a Rise bacon egg cheese biscuit sandwich. It was so fresh and absolutely amazing. Great service. Great location just off broadway a little bit away from hustle and bustle. Wanted to try other sweet items like cinnamon roll but ran out of days. It's a must have for breakfast! Great place to eat inside.

Yelp
I stopped by one morning before heading back to Birmingham. It had been a long, fun night in Nashville and I needed food! Breakfast is my favorite meal and this place didn't disappoint. The setup is a bit confusing. I didn't speak to a single person, and put my order in at the kiosk. Then, when your food is ready it is placed in its own little cubby. There is a monitor that tells you when your order is ready and what box it is in. It was definitely strange, but worked pretty well. By far my favorite was the breakfast potatoes. Some of the best I had ever had!! Plus, I really liked that you could customize your meal. I chose to do a build your own and got honey chicken on a blueberry biscuit. It was as delicious as it sounds .

Yelp
Born in North Carolina, Rise is taking the country by storm with its fresh take on Southern breakfast and lunch. At Rise, they pride themselves in going above and beyond to give you the best biscuit experience without shortcuts or compromises. This begins with sourcing superior ingredients from trusted farmers and producers and extends through serving our customers with unsurpassed care and accountability. In all things, Rise operates on a higher level. The ambiance gives me fast food vibes. If you are looking for a quick delicious breakfast, then this is the place for you. It's self service so be prepared to place your order on the kiosk. The staff is available for any questions and support if needed. Let's talk about this buttery goodness known as the biscuit. I went for the Nashville Hot Chicken and the way it melted in my mouth so unreal. I heard the blueberry biscuit is amazing but I didn't try it this time. My overall experience is 9/10, only because the eating area needed some tidying. ********************************************************** DM to join my Exclusicely Foodie or Traveler Group. Yelp
Saw this place was downtown and close by to where I was staying and decided to give it a try. I appreciated that I could just order at the kiosk. This place was fairly busy for a Thursday morning, but it didn't take long. There were about 9-10 people waiting around for their order and 3 people ahead of me ordering. Very user friendly and easy to see my options. I opted for the hot honey butter chicken with the blueberry biscuit (+1.00 up charge). I waited all of 5 minutes and my order was out. They have indoor seating upstairs but I decided to walk across the street and eat outside of a building. I was surprised to see all the icing on the biscuit and it wasn't melted (but no big deal). What was a big deal was this slab of butter on the chicken that hadn't been melted at all. No one wants to bite into a chunk of butter, I don't care how good the flavor is. I ended up scraping the butter off because it was too much considering it didn't melt. The biscuit itself was cold, and the chicken was lukewarm. I would've appreciated a hot biscuit and warm chicken for a $10 biscuit. The flavor was very good, but that doesn't make up for cold food.

Yelp
While in Nashville I wanted to start my day with a biscuit sandwich. I found Rise through Yelp and decided to take my walk to check it out. When I arrived I noticed you just choose your item through the kiosk. I had a lot of questions so the nice girl working here helped me out. I actually spoke to their manager because I wanted to have the top of my sandwich be a regular biscuit and the bottom of my sandwich to have their popular glazed blueberry biscuit. I know I am a picky B. Well they were kind enough to do that for me. I built my own which included sausage, cheese, a runny egg, and bacon. The top was a regular biscuit and the bottom was the glazed blueberry biscuit. I also got the Nashville hot sauce on the side. My sandwich was $13. The sandwich was delicious. That glazed blueberry biscuit was really good and gave my sandwich a sweet savory taste which I enjoyed. Each biscuit was flaky, airy, and buttery tasting. All the meats were good. My only complaint was that I wished my runny egg was actually more runny. It was a little over cooked. The Nashville hot sauce was very good and I definitely recommend it if you like some heat. And the sandwich kept me full all day. Besides biscuits and sandwiches, they also had vegetarian options, chicken, tater tots, grits, and donuts. Like I mentioned you order at the kiosk and they call your name when it is ready. There is seating upstairs. My food came out quick. If you are looking for a quick and affordable spot that is one of a kind then it is a great spot to check out.

Yelp
THE BEST BISCUIT I'VE HAD SINCE MY GRANDMAS HOMEMADE BISCUITS!! These BISCUITS are so soft and buttery and just oh so perfect!!!! I had the bacon, egg and cheese and it was so fresh and yummy!!! Im new to the area and will definitely be coming back and telling everyone I meet!

TJ D.

Yelp
The chicken and biscuit sandwich was delicious but the decor was nothing more than a Hardee's. And they didn't have any kind of sides that would go with the sandwich. It did come out quickly and hot but it was at 10am so there wasn't a rush. If you are in a hurry and not very hungry go.

Brandon F.

Yelp
We all had biscuit breakfast sandwiches, which were all great. The service was fast and friendly. I would recommend if you are in the area.
google avatar

Savannah B.

Yelp
Oh my heavens, this place saved my vicious hangover after a night on Broadway! They had extremely fast service and you order it at the kiosk by yourself which I love. They have canned coffee which is not pictured but should be because it was amazing. They have indoor and outdoor seating and it's literally right off Broadway so it's a very convenient location. I had the Avocado Toast which had Guacamole, Tomato , Fried Egg , and Boom Book sauce- I added bacon to mine and it was absolutely holy grail. It was a really good vibe overall especially with a hangover.

Yelp
So, I'm trying to delete some of my previous Yelp Elite finds and forgot to give a shout-out. It was in May but I still see this picture and think back to how amazing the food was at Rise. We were in a rush to get the car rental back, and ensure we had all of our luggage and flights secured...what about these tummies gurgling like a broken toilet? We need food. We got on the app quickly and ordered. Blueberry anything I want to try it. I'm so glad. It was subtle sweetness with a little glaze. Perfection! Then, I had the cheddar biscuit with chicken added. I took my time to savor every bit. I knew I had no idea the next time I would be back in Nashville . I really enjoyed my breakfast. The portions were good for the price and you should check them out!

Yelp
I ordered this through Uber eats. I have had this place on my list for awhile to try and it will definitely become a favorite! We ordered the hot honey chicken biscuit, loaded protein bowl with bacon, and the blueberry glazed biscuits which were buy one get one free on Uber eats. Everything was fantastic! The blueberry biscuits are coated with a glaze similar to donuts and was a great sweet treat. The protein bowl was loaded with eggs, grits, cheese, bacon, and green onions. It was a very good portion. The hot honey chicken biscuit was good but could've used a little more honey. The chicken was high quality and well cooked though! All of the food was very reasonably priced, and I would definitely order delivery from here again too! Overall loved this breakfast
google avatar

Yelp
Highly recommend a biscuit sandwich from Rise if you wake up with a hangover (when in Nashville). The fried chicken pimento sandwich was great. The biscuit was super buttery and flaky and the chicken fried to perfection. Crunchy bacon and pimento cheese dip was the perfect compliment. Pair everything with a donut (I tried the classic glaze) and now we're really talking. Nashville has plenty of sit down brunch options, but if you want something fast and hearty then this is a great pick. So glad we tried it!
google avatar

Yelp
Good classic breakfast biscuit- definitely would return Was a good way to start the first day at CMA Fest

The food is always decent and the service is outstanding. Great spot for a quick "on the go" meal

Yelp
I once visited this restaurant back in 2018 and it was very good then. I even got to sample donuts and they were delicious. I had free time in the morning and decided to make a return visit. They've since installed kiosks where you order. You don't even have to make contact with the people but one worker greeted me with a friendly 'good morning' I placed my order (which was somewhat expensive) I got a BEC (bacon egg cheese) biscuit. It was $8.20 after tax. Not to mention the standard iPad 'tip 20%' thing on top of that. For one breakfast sandwich. Now I thought to myself this better be one hell of a breakfast sandwich. The wait was about 5-10 minutes. A bit long for one sandwich in my opinion. When I got it, I sat down upstairs in their seating area. The biscuit was good. Nice and soft and fresh. It did fall apart and I had to pick at the sandwich instead of eating it like a sandwich. The bacon was extremely stringy and they put two slices of cheese on it which were bone cold. I did like how you can customize the sandwich at the kiosk. Overall, the price for what you get (even with a top tier sandwich) was not worth it. The sub par sandwich at the end was just insult to injury. One slice of cheese on a piping hot biscuit with piping hot egg would have made the world of difference. Instead the cheese, already cold, made the already cold sandwich colder.

Yelp
Great biscuit beignets and biscuits. Donut tour with Faye. Also, learning a lot about Nashville during the walking tour.
google avatar

Christopher T.

Yelp
This place was great! We went here for breakfast each day of our stay. Easy ordering off a kiosk. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Food is great portions are filling and their biscuits are awesome!
google avatar

Brent W.

Yelp
If you're in the mood to wait over 40 minutes for cold food this place is for you. Room temperature sausage patty on an ice cold biscuit right out or the fridge, took two bites and threw it right in the trash. Go to McDonalds instead.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
We enjoyed a tasty breakfast at Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken in Nashville! The Bacon, Egg & Cheese with a fried egg, American cheese, and crispy bacon was delicious. The Cinnamon Biscuit Rolls were also great. Service was fast and we ate upstairs in their small dining room.
google avatar

Jason P.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Perfect Southern style biscuits I'm used to. I recommend trying them out. Food was prepared about 5 minutes after we ordered. Street parking available down the street and parking garages.
google avatar

April C.

Yelp
Wow. This place is great!!! I tried sandwiches with both the blueberry biscuit as well as the standard biscuit. The blueberry one is soooooo good. The standard one is great but the addition of the sweet element makes a huge difference! I love that they have a build your own biscuit sandwich. So fun. So many options. I had this the first morning in town and regretted not going back every day. Honestly can't stop thinking of that sandwich. Please plan your next location in Southern California
google avatar

Marilyn B.

Yelp
I saw a post about a gluten free biscuit, sadly they said they don't make any. The young man at the register said there weren't any as long as he worked there. Don't know how how long he worked there.
google avatar

Shavonia F.

Yelp
Just did not enjoy the food here. Highly disappointed in my order. The food lacked flavor and the biscuit didn't taste like anything. So many other options for breakfast in Nashville. I had the blueberry biscuit with sausage and fried egg.
google avatar

Kim Charron L.

Yelp
Pick up was super easy with digital lockers. Biscuits were light and flaky, chicken crispy and tender. Tater tots crispy and delicious. My favorite sandwich was the hot honey buttered chicken. Will be back for more next time we're in town
google avatar

Sharon N.

Yelp
Rise Biscuits is a good option for a quick bite before walking Broadway. Ordering is easy at a self serve touch screen kiosk with pictures to help you make your selection. To go is available or if dining in seating is available upstairs. The food is simple but good. Everything was cooked well and the coffee is strong and hot. This place is meant for the busy tourist to dine and go. It can be very loud and crowed with your groups.
google avatar

Ebony B.

Yelp
We work half a block away and usually do not have an issue when we go here. Welp! This morning we ordered a build your own biscuit and bacon biscuit. We noticed the supposed cook kept digging and rubbing his nose with gloves on!! And he did this SEVERAL times. Disgusting. We advised the worker in the front if we could have the sandwich remade and by someone else. When he addressed (very dismissively) with the cook, the cook started laughing. I dont see a MF thing funny wtf- you are handling someones food and you digging in your nasty ass nose . This is freaking unacceptable and mgmt didnt seem to give two phuccs either smh.
google avatar

Shaina G.

Yelp
The vegetarian chicken biscuit could've had me fooled!! It was sooo delicious. 10/20 highly recommend. The biscuit was good, the patty was perfect, the pickles were nice. Will deff revisit when I'm in Nashville.
google avatar

Lisa A.

Yelp
One word - DELISH! We stopped in for breakfast after a wild night out, hungover and hungry. This place hit the spot! They have an extensive biscuit sandwich menu and you can pretty much customize your order any way you'd like. The biscuits are HUGE and you won't walk away hungry. The prices are reasonable, too. My husband is a biscuit snob and he thought these were EXCELLENT!
google avatar

Alex T.

Yelp
Came here before going to the airport. I had to because I had my eyes on the blue berry biscuits. . Yes blue berry biscuit is to die for. It was unique and just good by it self. I did create my own biscuit sandwich option. . I got the blue berry biscuit, add scrambled egg, sausage patty, jalapenos, strawberry jam, it's so good. It's sweet, spicy, savory, and just a little bit of everything. . I forgot about this place til the last day. If I remembered prolly would have come back and try a few more biscuit sandwiches. The other one I have in mind is the guacamole savory biscuit. . Overall this place is bomb and if you want to try something different with biscuits come here. Parking here was kind of inconvenient and hard to find parking, when you do find parking it's a couple blocks away. Also this place is like a grab and go, although they do have upstairs seating too. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day!

Yelp
We were in Nashville and decided to get breakfast from here when I read the hype on Yelp. Honestly, it was decent, but I don't see why there is so much hype. The chicken biscuit was pretty good - both the biscuit and the chicken - but not better than I'm able to get elsewhere, including some of the fast food options. Now their glazed blueberry biscuit is a dream come true, so they've got that. It's like a blueberry donut combined to a biscuit similar to how a croissant combines to a donut for a cronut. I got mine with sausage and fried egg to make a sandwich, and it was pretty good. Those cheddar tots are pretty good too - definitely something I can't get elsewhere, and that Rise executes pretty well. But their biscuit and gravy....biscuit is decent, but the gravy not so much. Maybe it's personal preference, but the gravy to me was essentially salty condensed milk with chopped green onion on to. And the minimal shredded cheddar also on top was an insult - come on and make it cheesy! Oh well. Now they do offer an option with a sausage patty on top too, but that wouldn't flavor the gravy - it would just have to mix while you ate it.

Yelp
Gluten free biscuits are amazing! Next time will just do a plain biscuit with honey. Had a sandwich, which was good, but just want a biscuit with honey as I can never get that gluten free. Yum!
google avatar

Kirk M.

Yelp
I had the righteous chicken biscuit without the sauce or pickles. Also it was on the cheddar biscuit. Great flavor and definitely filling. Will definitely visit again. My wife had the country ham and scrambled egg biscuit which she said was fantastic. The glazed donuts were adequate, not as good as Krispie Kreme per se but decent, could have been warmer though.

Edwin R.

Yelp
Biscuits are delicious!!! I was in town for a few days on business and needed a quick breakfast fix. Delicious!

Creative D.

Yelp
I'm a Southerner and I like a good biscuit and this place was serviceable. They've got a lot of wacky combinations, which is fun but I just stuck with the basic bacon egg and cheese biscuit.

Eleanor W.

Yelp
We order from Rise regularly for our monthly office birthdays and it is always a favorite!! Always brings in the work from home people! Order the night before online and it'll be ready on time, great service and delicious!! Always!!

Yelp
Rise Biscuits Chicken is a fast casual biscuit joint that is currently experiencing a boom around many states. While the majority of their biscuits are made, sold and enjoyed in North Carolina, there are two locations in Tennessee, one just outside of Memphis and this spot in downtown Nashville right on 5th Avenue. We did not pop into the actual location, but instead ordered delivery. Per the reviews and the ratings compared to our experience, it is definitely important that we experience Rise in person instead of via delivery next time! For our delivery order we got a couple of biscuits and sides. I got the Righteous Chicken Biscuit and an order of Cheese Tots. My partner got the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit with Cheese Grits on the side. We were underwhelmed with everything honestly. It wasn't inedible by any means, but given a spot that specializes in and celebrates southern biscuits, we were a little let down. The biscuits were crumbly and falling apart, especially on the chicken biscuit. It was sliced haphazardly so the top was super thin, which made it break immediately upon handling, however the chicken was fried well and was tasty. The biscuit for the BEC was in better shape and was more pleasant to eat. The sides were disappointing as well. The cheese grits were cheese-less and as plain grits, they were bland and nothing special. The cheese tots were cooked well and hefty in size and serving, but lacked seasoning. We did enjoy the quickness that our meal was prepared and placed available for delivery. That was definitely a plus! Overall, not our favorite spot for biscuits in Nashville at this point. It is certainly fair to know that quality suffers slightly via delivery, but the missteps with this meal was overall execution at the restaurant. Our next time will certainly be in person at Rise, as that seems to be the best way to experience all the goodness that so many others speak of here on Yelp! When we make that happen, I will be sure to make sure this review is updated!

Yelp
I'm hoping I had a bad batch of sandwiches. The Righteous Chicken was so dry you have to drink something while you're eating it. The Bacon Egg and Cheese had the tiniest strips of bacon, minimal cheese, and no salt or pepper on the egg. Both had the thickest, driest biscuits my jaw hurt.

Yelp
We stopped here on the way to sight see and WOW! This was a tasty start to the day. Buttery and flaky biscuits with creative fillings. Loved the pimento cheese on the chicken and the blueberry biscuit was just the right amount of sweet to go with the savory sausage. This is a MUST TRY for your next visit.
