Acciuga

"This restaurant with a simple dining room and open-view kitchen serves some of the most interesting fish cuisine in the Della Vittoria district. Chef Federico Delmonte skilfully searches out “poor” varieties of fish which are nonetheless full of flavour on an open menu that is adjusted according to the catch of the day. The chef’s native Fano makes an appearance in a few recipes from the Marche, including the famous brodetto (a typical fish soup)." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent meal by a chef from Italy’s east coast. I chose the 4-course menu during lunch for €80 and the signature coffee dessert for €12. I appreciated the chef explaining the menu and each dish. More than enough food for me, I asked for the rest of the 4th course item (squid ink pasta) to be packed for takeaway. The first few dishes were raw fish, a seared tuna (amazing, my favorite of the courses), and an assortment of grilled vegetables covered in bread crumbs and spices. The restaurant is quiet and spaced out with only 7 tables. There is a window into the kitchen so you can see the staff preparing the dishes. Overall one of the better meals I had in Italy, not surprisingly since I found this place on the Michelin guide. Also a highlight was the Lauretana natural water. I swear Italy has the best water!!

Lovely service and food. Worth a try. We love menu restaurants and are very familiar with the concept. The restaurant delivers in quality, that's no question. Our only comment was we were quite surprised by the portions, very small for the price you pay. All the courses were very small and the last course was a big bowl of soup, delicious, but in comparison to the size of everything else we found it strange and a last attempt to fill your tummy.

I took my family here and it was one of the best meals we had in Rome. It also had great value. Chef Federico was so attentive and kind to explain to us all the dishes and his hometown of Fano. His passion was amazing. I enjoyed each dish but most especially the raw and grilled courses. Highly recommended!

Very cool restaurant that delivers original seafood dishes made with just a handful of ingredients. All dishes tell the very personal story of Chef Federico Delmonte's heritage like the brodetto-flavoured pasta that carries the concentrated flavours of the Chef's birth town signature dish: brodetto di pesce alla fanese. The brodetto fish soup is also available upon request. Amazing raw fish antipasti. Interesting off the beaten path wine-list for the curious wine drinkers. Will definitely go back when I'm in Rome.

I went there last July. I'm a Singaporean and it was my first time in Italy. I enjoyed every single meal. We opted for the 4-course meal and one of the dishes contains pork, which unfortunately I cannot consume. I was initially worried and felt bad for having to return the dish. However, I was pleasantly surprised when Chef Federico had kindly removed the pork, re-plated the dish and personally served it to me to make sure I was happy with the dish. The rest of the staff also provided great hospitality to make me feel welcomed. If any of my friends in Singapore ask me for any good restaurants in Rome, I'll highly recommend this. Thank you! ☺️👏🏻

My girlfriend and I had a spectacular dinner here on our trip to Rome. It was recommended by friends who live locally, and the food and the service exceeded our expectations. A lovely intimate setting, we recommend this to anyone visiting Rome.

I've lived in Rome for 10 years and I eat out a lot...and this is definitely one of the best meals I've had. Everything was fresh and delicious (the fried squid, the pasta dish with shrimp and borage, the fish with Porcini mushrooms...) and I really enjoyed the wine pairings. Excellent service too, and the restaurant feels elegant and refined but also cosy. Perfect for a date or a special occasion!

My husband and I went to Accugia 2 years ago (September 2019) on our honeymoon in Rome and the fact that we still bring it up to this day reminded me to write a review. It was some of the most spectacular food we had in a while. The restaurant was a bit out of the touristy spots in Rome but was just a short cab ride away. As a visitor to Italy, it was such a great place to add to our trip because it had both an authentic Italian feel to the food but with a very modern culinary twist that made every dish a unique flavor and experience. The chef is very studied and talented in the cultural arts and helped us choose every dish and pair it with some amazing wine. I still think about the risotto dish and some anchovy dish we ate. I feel like everything had a story behind the ingredients and style as well. I’m sadly Gluten free and had no problem here either. The hostess was also wonderful and connected us with some restaurants for when we headed to Sorrento. In the end for how much we ate and drank, our bill still felt very reasonable which made the experience even better. We can’t wait to come back!
