Ristorante ACQUA PAZZA

"Chef Yoshimi Hidaka has broadened the horizons of Neapolitan hometown cooking. Acqua pazza, the poached white fish dish that so thrilled him in Naples, is both the restaurant’s name and its signature dish. Prepared by fishermen, it began as fish and tomatoes simmered in seawater but here freshwater is used and Manila clams are added for saltiness. The synergy of umami from inosinic acid in the fish, glutamic acid in the tomato and succinic acid in the Manila clams is classic Yoshimi Hidaka ingenuity." - Michelin Inspector

This is not serious. I don’t know how they are still a Michelin star restaurant, its is clear that last few years Michelin is losing it in Japan. Service was VERY slow. Like, you get hungry while you are waiting for the next dish. It took us 2 hours from beginning to the end to finish very simple lunch course. Food is very outdated, feels like its from 2010 or something, very meh. Good vibe selection. Interior is terrible and tired, also it was very cold inside. Bread was served only once and was never offered again. Table was never cleaned throughout the course. Not serious, don’t be waste your money

Japanese Italian with high quality Japanese ingredients. Food is very seasonal and service is professionally and friendly. Entrance is difficult to find slightly but Google map leads to correct location well. Wine recommendation is good too.

We would not recommend this resturant. The place is not welcoming.A simple ice cream refrigerator at the entrance... Some of the tables without table cloth. The menu is in Japanese. The food options are very limited. The service is sufficient. Not worth 4.5

Lovely carpaccio and pasta. Was easy to make reservations online. English menu available. They have set menu as well but nice to have a la cart option !

Excellent establishment. The food was delicious, portion sizes = generous, atmosphere was clean, sophisticated and casual at the same time, service was on point, they made every effort to make sure our night went as smooth as possible. We decided on the a la carte menu and ordered a pasta, acqua pazza, a cheese filled starter, and more, including several drinks, and a dessert, the bill came to ¥25,000 in total, it was very reasonable considering the quality of food, great ingredients, the ambience, the service. I will definitely be returning here. Please give it a try and experience acqua pazza served tableside.

I enjoyed a multi-course dinner here. I was unaware at the time but later found out that all of the food is 100% organic, including the meat used. The attention to detail in preparing the food and the service is immaculate. When each dish is served a detailed explanation of the serving is also provided by the waiter on duty. I will definitely be returning some time soon. Keep up the great customer service and delicious, organic servings!!!

We paid Y18,000 for a dinner for 2 and were very disappointed! First, the waiter only offered a limited wine list of red, white or sparkling in the beginning. Just 3 selection. He did not offer the full list until AFTER we had ordered a regular glass AND had to ask if he had such a list. Also the amount they poured was rather frugal. Second, they had ran out of their first main pasta course only at 7:30pm and there were only 3 other guests in the restaurant. Third, they were so cheap on the bread. Only gave us a half portion of a biscuit each time we asked for a refill. And they took a while to serve it. Fourth, the location was difficult to find and far from a station. Fifth, they automatically added on a 10% service charge for a lousy service. Overall, we felt this restaurant was frugal and just want to make a profit. Oh, pasta was decent but fish was average. Weak fish broth base for their signature dish.

The room was cold so I had to keep my coat on.
