"Situated just a stone’s throw from the centre yet away from the tourist crowds, this restaurant is well worth the effort needed to find it! Here, Japanese chef Sugihara, who has more than 20 years’ experience working in Italy, creates modern and skilfully prepared Italian meat and fish dishes which are fresh and elaborate. You’ll nearly always find seafood risotto on the menu, which is made with fish, mussels and finely chopped shrimps all cooked together with rice and then sprinkled with crumbled seaweed and dotted with tomato paste. Excellent value for money!" - Michelin Inspector

If my gosh, one of our top 10 dinners in our 60+ years of life. The fusion of Japanese and Italian cuisine was fantastic. We had the 7 course menu and were absolutely delighted at every course. Of course there are some extra surprises during the evening. I felt like we had at least 10 different tastings. We left very full, to full for even coffee or an after dinner drink. We had a bottle of Italian Sparkling Wine, which was excellent and reasonably priced. We can't say enough about how good the food was. Was the restaurant perfect? No. The service was good, but only after it started. We had to wait it seemed almost 30 minutes before even the drink order was taken. Once the order was in the service flow was outstanding. Oh how i wish we lived closer and could visit more often. It was a remarkable dinner.

We experienced wonderful moments here. The atmosphere of this place is unique. We chose this restaurant for our 5th wedding anniversary dinner, during a tour of Northern Italy. We decided on a 4-course tasting menu. Each dish was unique and surprised us with something. The service was professional and efficient, and we felt truly hosted. Thank you very much for these pleasant moments.

Great experience at Ristorante Campo Cedro! Judy was a fantastic host for us, from accommodating our large group of 7 to the wine pairing recommendations and overall kind service. The menu and chef are one of a kind with Japanese Italian fusion that truly had flavor bursting in every bite. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Siena for a unique experience. Lovely, lovely, lovely experience with great food, fresh ingredients, and amazing flavors. In a city so focused on meat, it’s wonderful to find a place that offers an excellent experience with vegetables and fish. The seafood risotto with broccoli and lemon is splendid: unlike many risottos, the seafood is finely chopped and blends perfectly with the rice. The lemon brings out all the flavors, unexpected and absolutely delicious. I also appreciated that it was cooked al dente. However, the tagliolini with black cabbage pesto and calamari was my favorite dish overall. The black cabbage pesto was delicate yet full of flavor. I can’t properly describe it, you just need to try it. Both the turbot and the croaker were amazing as second courses. Apart from the side vegetables (all excellent), the fish was cooked to perfection: not dry, not overcooked, just right. We also loved the complimentary starters, a collection of small appetizers bursting with flavor, and the homemade bread (served warm) with salted butter. The staff was fantastic: kind, knowledgeable, and happy to share details about each dish, which is always a plus when you want to truly enjoy your meal. The location is also great, near the center but away from the crowds. Overall, a solid 5/5 experience that I wholeheartedly recommend.

Excellent from start to finish. Japanese influence lifts the entire experience. Risotto was cooked perfectly, “Kakuni” pork belly was a showstopper - texturally immaculate (!) and flavors were harmonious and delicious. Ristorante Campo Cedro delivers on all fronts. Not to be missed.
