If you want great quality Italian food in El Paso this place is a must. Joel was our server and gave us excellent recommendations. We tried the mussels, meatballs and fritto misto to start, followed by three pastas and the pollo parmigiana. Everything was delicious. For dessert we ordered all four options, the gelato was amazing and the Nutella calzone was so hugeeee we had to take it to-go. Great service, great food, highly recommend.

Nothing but absolute great things about Casanova. Service was impeccable, our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere felt very intimate for our party of 6. Food was DELICIOUS! We had the ravioli, ribeye steak, chicken parmigiana, and the braised short rib! Everything was absolutely delicious! We cannot wait to come back.

This ristorante is located inside the Doubletree Hotel in Downtown El Paso Tx. Excellent service by Aida. I was greeted by Evan. Aida is patient, attentive, and professional. I ordered the Mushroom Risotto for an appetizer and the Shrimp Tagliatelle for the main course. I had not eaten either one before and was so happy I was introduced to these foods. Very good food. So glad I came to Casa Nova Ristorante today. Aida was an excellent server. Kudos to the Chef.

I arrived around 9pm on a Saturday and ordered the short ribs dish. Honestly the dish doesn't look appealing but it wasn't bad at all. The service was excellent!!! George was a great server/bartender

Came to celebrate my wife’s birthday and a Chihuahua game and stopped in here. The food is great and good portions. Those that know me, there is never food left over, but I literally couldn’t eat all of it. It was very delicious and Allyse, our server was great with when to come and when not to.

What started off as a rocky start to our night was made extra special by the staff at Casanova. I bought tickets to attend the Downtown Tasting Tour: Bites of Fright on October 23, or at least I thought I had. When we got to the first restaurant to check in, they could not find our name on the list. I'm not sure what happened but my registration had not been completed. We were meeting my sister and brother in law and my kids. We ordered a small appetizer at the first restaurant and decided we would just follow the group to each restaurant and order a small appetizer and drink at each location. But when we got to the 2nd location we were informed the restaurant was closed to the public, they were only accommodating the tour ticket holders. They allowed us to sit at the table, but they did not serve us, which we completely understood. We quickly realized this was the case for most of the restaurants on the tour. When we got to Casanova we found they did have half the restaurant open for the public. We decided we'd order some cocktails and leave our family and the tour group. When our waitress, Aida, asked if we wanted to order more than cocktails, we explained the mishap with the tour and that we were just still trying to spend time with our family and that we were just going to head home. Soon after our drinks arrived the manager came out with plates of the same sample they were giving to the Bites of Fright taste tour patrons. They insisted we sample too. Then the manager informed us they also put in an order for us for a large pepperoni pizza. We insisted that was not necessary, but they insisted we enjoy our night too! The sample for the bites tour was a delicious lobster stuffed ravioli, the creamy pesto sauce was AMAZING! We licked the plates clean. When we said how delicious it was, the manager went and got the Chef to visit our table. My daughter is in the Culinary program at Riverside and plans to pursue her degree in Nutritional Science, but can be quite a finicky eater. The Chef took the time to talk to her about seasoning things to perfection, that's what culinary is, making food savory and enjoyable. We were just blown away by the amazing generosity and welcoming we got from the entire staff!! We are already planning an evening of dinner and drinks with our friends at Casanova!

Loved the housemade pasta, and I really hope the chef stays true to the SF style Italian food rather than caving to EP tastes like every other "Italian" American restaurant here. I'm really hoping I can have one place here that keeps a focus on fresher ingredients rather than the heavy, cheese-covered thick sauces that are so indicative of bad Italian American food. I was excited to try a chef's special, but saddened that it was chicken Alfredo, since that's a common Italian American dish and nothing out of the ordinary. I got the shrimp tagliatelle instead which was very good. My friend got the spaghetti & liked it. Dessert was not great & the ridiculously huge calzone was just odd, but I'm a party chef so I'm picky. Drinks were good & decor could use a bit of warmth, but I'll definitely go back. I see a lot of potential in this place, so I'm really rooting for Casanova.

$20–30 Don’t waste your time and your money in this place. Pictures on google reviews don’t represent the actual plates you get served. Went in to celebrate my sister’s birthday. Thinking we would have a fancy dinner, and to our surprise we ended in a expensive hotel cafeteria basically. Prices are way to high and neither the flavor nor the portions fill the standards. We ordered a pizza, the tomato sauce on top was super cold, the dough was bland it tasted like eating a frozen pizza that hasn’t been fully cooked. Little Cesar pizza is a 100 times better. We also ordered a pasta that was supposed to be the favorite one from clients; it had 3 “big” shrimp on top of the cold pasta and flavor was no where to be found. The moment my plate arrived, I commented to my sister on how the portion of pasta was so ridiculously small, and totally not worth 25-27 Dlls. And that is when the cherry on top of the cake happened, as we were verbally assaulted by the waitress, commenting on how I wouldn’t even finish the pasta plate, which of course I did. The pizza we took it to give out to a homeless person in need. Needles to say save your money and go to Olive Garden. Save money and it has a better flavor.

Yelp
Inconsistent is the name of this place. If you look at my pizza photos over my last few visits you'll see it's never the same. This time when I was talking to who I assume was a night manager he assured me the "chef" was working and it would be done correctly and I'm guess the "chef" has mostly given up on consistent quality food. I don't know of any other restaurant that has a completely different version of the same pizza every time I order it. Zero quality control and zero care it seems when it comes to pizzas. The fire burger is consistently good, the fries this time were pitiful looking with the fire burger but great the next night with my chicken sandwich. Again no consistency.

Yelp
The ambiance was fantastic! The music artist was a really nice touch and boy, could he sing!!! The food was so amazing and the service was out of this world! Aida- you made our experience here great!!!

Yelp
Nice restaurant inside of the Doubletree Downtown El Paso. Italian cuisine where a lot of the guests of the restaurant come to dine and drink. I ate on the lite side and had an amazing Caprese salad with some of the best tasting mozzarella and tomatoes. The vibe is quiet until the large groups of oil and gas folk walk in and disrupt the peace . However, service is quick and personal at the bar.

Manny G.

Yelp
The service was nothing to speak of. Ordered a simple Chicken Parmigiana and the took forever to catch the chicken. I would not recommend this dish. There was a large group that came in 15 after my order but that should have had no bearing on my meal. The water was good. lol. I would move past this place if I'm craving Italian.

Yelp
Ate here twice during my stay at the hotel on property. Both meals were delicious. Had great service from the friendly staff. Nice ambiance with comfortable seating and classy decor. Dinner - Salmon with risotto Breakfast- avocado toast (w scrambled eggs for me)

Yelp
Convenient restaurant located inside the Doubletree downtown El Paso. I noticed last night (Saturday) they had a live band playing which was nice. The restaurant is pretty spacious and they have a bar with beer on tap. I tried a pasta dish tonight for room service and it was pretty good. I'll be honest I was expecting the dish to be a small amount and semi dry but it was the complete opposite ! I'll try a different dish tomorrow !

Yelp
"Amazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great. Waitress is always so friendly. The food can't get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. The pasta in the short rib pappardelle was perfect al dente. The caprese salad was fresh, and as dessert the limencello panna cotta was tangy and sweet. overall amazing experience.

Ernest M.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Tried the shrimp pasta dish (forgot the name). Wife had the pepperoni pizza. Also good. Service was good. Server did seem overwhelmed and mixed up one of my drinks. There was a great trio playing which made the ambiance fancy-ish. Nice place. Will be returning!!!

Yelp
Have you been to Ristorante Casanova? It's an Italian restaurant located inside the DoubleTree hotel in downtown El Paso. I had an interesting experience there! I met up with a friend for lunch and decided to try a few items: meatballs, salad, and the short rib pappardelle. To my surprise, when my short rib pasta arrived, it had chimichurri on top. I had never tried that before, but honestly, it was delicious! The chimichurri added a lot of flavor to the housemade pasta and enhanced the taste of the short rib. I told my friend that it reminded me of Argentinian food because Argentinian cuisine has a strong Italian influence. I would suggest that they rebrand the restaurant as an Argentinian eatery since that's what it tasted like. They also had negronis. Argentinians love negronis, I would love to see Träkál on the menu, the Patagonian Negroni, which is a South American twist on the classic Italian aperitif. I believe an Argentinian restaurant would be well-received here in El Paso. The food at Ristorante Casanova is absolutely delicious, and the panna cotta dessert was divine! The service was attentive, and our waitress was actually supposed to be at the Asian night market but ended up in California, so she provided us with some great recommendations. This place is perfect for a quiet lunch or a casual meeting spot for drinks. I would definitely come back. Still on the lookout for a good Italian spot, but overall, this is a fantastic dining experience.-TODOELPASO Ristorante Casanova inside the DoubleTree Downtown 600 El Paso St, El Paso, TX 79901

Yelp
Located inside the Doubletree Hotel but don't sleep on this place for breakfast! The ribeye omelet was superb! Big enough for 2 people with a side of crispy wedge potatoes that were delish! Sourdough is my absolute favorite bread, so I was beyond pleased to find that they offered it and it did not disappoint! Our waiter was Juan Pablo. He was attentive, kind and went out of his way to make our breakfast very pleasurable. He even offered to fill up my water bottle with water before we left. This is the 3rd time we've stayed at this hotel and we will continue to come back!

Yelp
Overpriced food with little flavor and not cooked properly. I had the short rib pasta and noodles were hard and the meat was greasy and fatty. Most restaurants would bring you bread or rolls but nothing was offered. 25 dollar pasta was not worth the money or the hassle to pay to park.

Yelp
I wasn't a fan. They had no iced tea, the Caesar salad was bland and not fresh, the service wasn't good and the dessert wasn't anything to write home about. In a city with lots of great dining options , I regretted this decision.
google avatar

Terrance B.

Yelp
I did my mail to go and it was nothing to write home about. He got the job done and it was actually free because it came with my hotel stay just around $15 still it was nothing that I really was happy nor mad about it was just a burger and fries.

Yelp
Best Italian in west El Paso everything we had was great. No wait time because it's new & undiscovered.

Yelp
Avoid this restaurant. We ate here last night. Our server was fantastic. I don't know what the people in the kitchen did to our food but I've never been in this much pain from food poisoning. The food poisoning symptoms started last night and am still sick. We had the pizza - avoid it. Seriously considering going to the ER and making a complaint with the health department.

Yelp
Not what you would expect from a Hilton property Resturant Service good food just not great.

Yelp
We had an amazing and delicious meal with excellent service from Oscar . We started of with the Vongole appetizer with clams, delicious broth to dip with sourdough bread . Then , my wife had the insalata Di farma, with fried octopus that was cooked to perfection. I had the frutti de mare negro , to die for . For desert was their signature cookies and ice cream that completed the meal.

Corie A.

Yelp
The most authentic Italian food I've had since going to Italy. It is in the pricer side but worth every penny. we loved it!! Definitely going back! The service was also very wonderful.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Fancy yet causal, wonderful meals! Neyma was our waitress and she was the best! Really good craft drinks too!! Highly recommend!

Erika M.

Yelp
If you want to go out and have a high priced meal while you complain that the Brasato in Vino doesn't have flavor or evidence of being braised in wine.. yet priced like someone cared what they served , DO NOT GO THERE.. good drinks and a sweet server who apologized for the inconsistency..

Yelp
Trash! food was cold/no flavor. Radom guest coming in a eating in pajamas. Ended up getting sick from the food later that night.

Nooshin A.

Yelp
Ordered Grilled Salmon with seasonal vegetables and mashed potatoes for room service and got salmon on a runny risotto with no vegetables. Called and asked for mashed potatoes and vegetables and got mashed potatoes only after 20 minutes asked what about the vegetables again after 20 minutes I got 3 pieces of broccoli and mushrooms in a burned plastic container. Worst room service experience so far!!

Yelp
I thought this place was delicious. We had the sourdough bread and a caprese salad to start, the bread was doughy soft and perfectly toasted. The salad was fresh and yummy. I had the Tagliatele Francesca and the pasta itself was perfect to me, my husband had the ravioli which he enjoyed, the veal & beef paired perfectly together. The espresso martini was AMAAZINNG. Our waitress was really nice we had a lot of questions and she let us know it was her first day, so she wasn't sure on some things but she made sure to find out the answer. They had live music while we were there and they were amazing. All in all it was a delicious meal and fun fancy vibes.

Yelp
the absolute best food and service!!!! chris, the supervisor greeted us upon arrival and ensured we had the best meal ever. i would highly recommend!!!!!!

Yelp
We envisioned our sourdough loaf with some olive oil dipping sauce. Got toasted grocery sourdough bread and plain ol' butter. Salads were average. Fried octopus appetizer was tough and chewy.Papardelle di Bosco was good. Spaghetti and meatballs was ok...needed more Italian seasoning..perhaps some fennel seed in the meatballs (salt and pepper at the very least). Tagliatelle Francesca was lacking both flavor- wise and ingredient-wise. Some fresh herbs to brighten up the dish ...and maybe more than a silver Dollar amount of ground sausage would go a long way. Ambiance was sad . The place was dusty...decor was lacking too. The extent of "Italian ambiance" were some red and white checkered tablecloths that begged to be ironed. Service was good. Expected more.

Yelp
Came here for a dinner date for some Italian food. I should've known that it wasn't going to be great when the hostess and the waitress were rude as soon as we walked in. The menu is limited and the food that they have available feels like it's trying to be something it's not. I had asked for a coke and lemonade and they said all they had was water and unsweetened tea. I also had ordered two alcoholic drinks that were disgusting. The waitress did not ask for our ID when we ordered them but came back later to ask for them as if we were going to try and get some drinks illegally which I found disrespectful. The food was more expensive than it needed to be. Two drinks, an appetizer and two entrees came out to 100$. If it were me, I would say it's more of a 50$ value. They have a live band which I thought would be nice but turns out that it's just unappealing and the music being played is not romantic at all. I would say don't come here if you want Italian dining. Go somewhere else.

Yelp
We arrived at 8:30pm on Saturday and the restaurant was pretty quiet. They said they were already cleaning the tables (they close at 10pm) and asked us to sit in the bar area. The atmosphere is nice but the chairs are very low and it isn't a very comfortable experience. We started with the Fritti Misto. It was a beautiful presentation. The baby squid were too dry and very crumbly and not very good. However, the sweet peppers were fried much more lightly and had a really nice taste and good seasoning. For dinner, we ordered the pizza Margherita. It was a good size and plenty of food for two people. The dough was too lightly cooked and the underneath had no crunch or crispness. The cheese was nice but it had little half cherry tomatoes which didn't add much to the flavor. It seemed as if there pizza oven wasn't able to get hot enough to make a decent pizza. Not terrible but we didn't even want to bring home the half we didn't finish. Everything was ok at Ristorante Casanova but nothing i would really recommend.

Yelp
So good! Emily was our server and she was very attentive and had a great attitude! Will definitely come again!

Yelp
Amazing food, Amazing setting including the live Music. Most importantly, the service I received when dinning in by Mr. Francisco was 5 Stars at the minimum. Thank you guys so much!

Yelp
It's good not great. I got the beef ribs. Service was very slow. Restaurant was not very busy and I was a party of 1. The meat was cooked well but the gravy they used made it come off a bit like pot roast. The dish was a tad too salty, flavors did not balance well and the potatoes were overly herby. At then end of the day it was good it just wasn't great. When I'm paying $40 for a meal I just have higher expectations. The ambiance was nice with the live acoustic guitar player. Lighting was low but not so low you can't see your food. Overall nice romantic Italian date night kind of setting even though I was here alone. I never did get a drink refill. Not only was I never asked if I needed anything the waiter was nowhere to be found to ask for anything. I was here on a Thursday around 6 PM. You might have better luck on a weekend or perhaps a little later in the evening. My advice, if you want a romantic evening your money is probably better spent elsewhere. I did really love their lighted menu though. Pretty great technology that I hope to see in more low light restaurants soon

Yelp
I was walking around downtown for a night to myself and was craving a good meal by the end of it. I walked into the restaurant to catch the rest of the baseball game that was going on at the time and Oscar the bartender was a breath of relief cause he knew exactly what I wanted...a good bourbon drink and recommended the lamb chops that were so delicious I asked to speak with the chef that made it. Chris the chef came out and explained to me everything that was in the dish that I enjoyed so much. A wonderful experience overall and I highly recommend this place

Angelica D.

Yelp
Amazing restaurant for date night. Live music, great service, and delicious food! The pizza was full of flavor with great dough. The pastas were so creamy! If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I would! We will be back!
