"Having left its previous premises in Caltagirone, this old acquaintance of the Michelin guide has now opened in Catania, right in the city centre between period palazzi and avenues planted with oleander. In a simple yet elegant setting enhanced by works of art by Nunzio Fisichella (a painter devoted to depicting Etna and its many moods), the delicate cuisine continues to focus on Italy with occasional Sicilian influences in its ingredients, sauces, style of cooking and flavouring – nothing here is forced. Special mention should be made of the grilled quail, which is perfectly cooked in Sicilian style, as well as the “Minnuzza di Sant’Agata” – stuffed cuttlefish with potato foam and candied lemon for a hint of freshness. When it comes to wine choices, the talented sommelier can tell you all about the region of origin, whether the wine is from Sicily, Italy or elsewhere in Europe. To finish your meal, make sure you try a glass of Marsala stravecchio from Intorcia." - Michelin Inspector

Coria

"Transferred to Via Prefettura 21, Catania. Situated in the historic centre of this unique city, just 200m from the famous Santa Maria del Monte staircase, this restaurant is named after Giuseppe Coria, a passionate expert on local cuisine and the author of the cookery book “Profumi di Sicilia” (Flavours of Sicily) – the very same flavours that you’ll find in the cuisine here. In two simple, contemporary-style rooms, owner-chefs Domenico Colonnetta and Francesco Patti, both of whom trained with Ciccio Sultano, serve confidently prepared and original cuisine which is far from ordinary." - Michelin Inspector

I ate in two 1-starred Michelin restaurants and one on the Michelin Guide in Catania, Coria was absolutely the best of all. The cooking was superb & flawless across all dishes on the menu and might I say, technically mature too with great finesse. I would definitely wish to visit again in future visits to Catania.

Excellent food. The seafood dishes in particular were even better than expected. Nice room. We went for a late lunch so it wasn’t busy. Very attentive & professional service. Wine pairing offerings could maybe be a little better but I’m only looking to point something out that wasn’t better than expected. Really a 10/10. I expect they should get a 2nd star next go around. World class food & nice people.

I had an incredible evening at Coria. I did the Magma tasting menu and it was just excellent. The dessert was swapped out (with my consent) for the Chef’s new peach dessert and I must say, she did an incredible job. I highly recommend Coria.

We had an amazing dining experience in this restaurant. We had the 7 course menu with pairing wines from the region of Sicily. The Sicilian sparkling wine was great as well. Service was fast and precise carried out by experienced staff members.

Incredible meal and experience at Ristorante Coria! Every course was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious—each one better than the last. The staff were exceptionally attentive and helpful, and they accommodated our group’s gluten-free needs without compromising on flavor or creativity. A truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended!
