"Opened in 1910, this historic restaurant with an attractive shaded outdoor pergola serves an extensive array of delicious local fish prepared in traditional recipes. Enjoy a selection of typical Sicilian specialities prepared by the Bernardi family, including the highly recommended “Nonno Filippino” fish soup." - Michelin Inspector

Ristorante da Filippino a Lipari is a century‑old gem (est. 1910) with a shaded outdoor pergola with ocean views. A Michelin‑recommended eatery, serving local seafood dishes. The chef was Tunisian but mastered Italian cooking. Friendly and attentive service.

We had a wonderful experience at this traditional Italian restaurant. The service was excellent, especially thanks to Donato, who was incredibly attentive. I accidentally ordered the wrong dish, and the staff kindly offered to replace it with something I would enjoy—without charging any extra. The “Risotto Angel” was absolutely delicious, and the grilled fish was fresh and perfectly prepared. The restaurant’s location is stunning, and it’s definitely worth taking a moment to enjoy the view in front. A charming, authentic Italian spot that is truly worth a visit!

The restaurant opened over 100 years ago. Now it's time to change the chef. The golden days are clearly over, and you can taste it in every bite. The product quality and preparation leave a lot to be desired. They're clinging to Michelin mentions from over five years ago. Michelin??? Wake up! Ordered a tuna with sun dried tomatos. Tomatos were ordered from amazon. tuna quality was poor. Inedible

Beautiful location - great views and the ambience is lovely. The food is expensive, but it did taste very good. The staff were very helpful and also spoke English!

Very quiet on Tuesday for lunch so service was very very good - attentive but not intrusive. Entree of Brown Grouper in oil and lemon was fabulous as was the fresh grilled Snapper which was prepared for us and not a single bone. A total of 3 olive oils served were with the bread and they are some of Sicily's finest. The wine list is also comprehensive and most are very reasonably priced. A small issue was the beans which were boiled and quite 'plain' - but overall a very fine meal.

This was our favorite dinner in Lipari and probably one of our best dinners ever! The food is meticulously prepared, everything is super fresh. You can taste each and every single ingredient. There is a great variety yet the menu is not overwhelming. The owner - who is over 80 y/o - pays attention to every table and makes you feel like you’re a celebrity guest. The service is courteous, professional and quick (which is rare on this this island). This was a very nice surprise! I wish them all “cent anni”.

the food was very very mediocre for the price they charge. the service was dreadful we waited for an hour for the main courses. when we wanted to order desserts we waited for so long we gave up. finally when I asked for the bill it did not come , I just paid the cashier. Completely understand why they don't have a Michelen Star I don't think they are getting one any time soon. one good thing the fish my wife ordered was amazing traditional Sicilian tomato sauce.

That is an absolutely amazing place to eat. Highly recommend. Every dish I’ve ordered was very delicious, a waiter in details told me from what and how they cooked it. I don’t drink and ask them to bring only 2 glasses of red dry wine notwithstanding on they serve a full bottle for guests. And they did, very good one. Try seafood, you definitely will like it and an ice cream, i personally prefer with pistachios’ taste.
