"A family-run trattoria which is simple in style yet offers professional and courteous service. The menu focuses mainly on Umbrian specialities, fresh pasta, grilled dishes and an impressive selection of vegetables." - Michelin Inspector

Visiting Da Gregoria is an experience in service, hospitality and outstanding cuisine. Davide, our server and sommelier described all food offerings in incredible detail with flexibility to try many courses. The food is all seasonal and locally sourced. The wine matches are unique and thoughtful. The food preparations are flavourful and well presented.

Absolutely delicious and pleasantly presented. I loved the celebration of the last tomatoes of the season by featuring a simply presented and herbed grilled beefsteak tomato appetizer. The atmosphere is peaceful. A very pretty location. Professional, excellent service. My one reservation is to be careful with how they serve the wine. They give roughly 2 once pours. You think you are at first tasting the wine but when they pour another 2 onces into your glass this counts as your 2nd glass. It adds up.

A Hidden Gem in Umbria – A Culinary Delight! We stumbled upon Ristorante Gregorio quite by accident while en route to Castello della Sala vineyard in Umbria, and what a fortunate detour it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, we were treated to an unforgettable dining experience that was both authentic and full of heart. The food was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish featured locally sourced ingredients—succulent wild boar, tender rabbit, perfectly cooked steak, and herbs fresh from their own garden, all brought together with their own olive oil. The flavours were bold, rustic, and true to the region. A special mention must go to Davide, the sommelier, whose knowledge and passion for food and wine elevated the experience even further. His handwritten wine list was a charming touch, and his pairing suggestions were absolutely spot on. It’s rare to meet someone who delivers their recommendations with such genuine enthusiasm and depth. We originally came for lunch, and were so impressed that we returned two days later for dinner—both times equally memorable. It’s not often you find a place that leaves such a lasting impression, and we’re so glad we found it by chance. A well-deserved 5 🌟 from all of us. We’ll definitely be back when we return to Umbria next year. Grazie mille, Ristorante Gregorio!

An exceptional experience. Service was exceptional. Especially Davide. Food was amazing. Beautiful views. We celebrated our 25th anniversary and they gave us a special gift. This might have been the greatest dining experience I have ever had.

This is truly a remarkable experience of Umbrian food at its best. Here nothing is average, and the combination of tastes are unique. Lost il the middle of a mountain this a gem of a restaurant.

Not to be missed and worth a drive! I would describe the food as traditional meeting experimental, displaying a few playful ingredients here and there that are executed perfectly. Gorgeous location with warm and helpful staff. Very special and memorable place to visit. ❤️

Comfortable and familiar feel inside the restaurant with a beautiful view of the countryside out back. Davide provided excellent service while making you feel right at home. The food was casual yet refined. Delicious courgette from the garden to start. Followed by two very good handmade pastas. Semolina gnocchi with local wild garlic and Umbriachello with boar sausage. The lamb for main course was local, just 14km away, and so delicious! The side of chicories and tomato was fresh, however, a little intense with the flower garnish’s. Davide finished the meal with a taste of fig ice cream followed by a chicory root pudding and a Mille Fuille, which were both good, though the latter a bit too simple. Thank you for the great experience!

Yelp
An online review can't do justice to our experience at Da Gregorio. I'd need to write a short story. In brief: we got completely lost on the way there (first time driving in Italy) and showed up half an hour late. The restaurant was beautiful: warm, brightly lit...and empty! It was a Sunday night at the very tail end of the season. They'd done big business at lunch but had no other reservations for that evening. Still, they stayed open just for us. We were served with extraordinary care and grace by the sommelier, Davide, who spoke animatedly and with great knowledge about the local farms and other purveyors the restaurant draws on. Every dish was amazing: from the savory pumpkin tart appetizer to an incredible panna cotta that (I think) incorporated Sicilian grapes and oregano. Toward the end of the meal, Davide told us the story of his family, which owns the business. Four of his relatives--including his father, who founded Da Gregorio--then came out to meet us. Davide presented us with a bottle of the restaurant's own wine to take home. And one of the younger family members gave us careful driving directions so we wouldn't get lost again. (Including a warning about packs of wild pigs in the road.) We had many wonderful experiences during our 17-day trip though Italy. But our evening at Da Gregorio is the one we'll remember most warmly.

Yelp
Ottimo! A hidden treasure in hills near orvieto. Wild boar, homemade pasta (various ravioli, tagliatelle, umbrichelli), on the grill (game and beef) other seasonal items and interesting wine list. Highly recommended.

Yelp
We rented a car for the afternoon just to have lunch at Ristorante Da Gregorio, and it did not disappoint! In fact, it was the highlight of our entire 10 day trip to Italy!! I cannot say enough how wonderful the experience was ... from the delicious dishes (wild boar, fresh made pastas ... tagliatelle, umbrichelli ... tantalizing desserts) and perfectly paired wine (Davide is a Sommelier and knows his stuff!) to the warm, friendly service offered by this family. This is the REAL DEAL if you want a culinary "experience" in Italy.

Yelp
I've eaten here often, and it is my favorite place in central Italy. Incredible homemade pasta. Fresh-caught game. Typical (but extraordinary) Umbrian cuisine. Prices way below what's fair. And the very best, friendliest service imaginable. Worth a trip from anywhere!

Yelp
A culinary delight amidst the rolling hills of Umbria! Da Gregorio is a family-run restaurant that offers everything homemade by the owner's mother and wife. To start with, indulge in their delicious crostini ... or if you'd rather have vegetables, they prepare them in such innovative ways that even the vegetable nonfan would love them. Their pastas are second to none - all made by hand by the owner himself. Try their umbrichelli al tartufo, all'arrabiata, al ragu' ... their tagliatelle are amazing as well as their ravioli! The offerings for 'secondo' are varied ... chicken, beef, pork, wild boar, but also many vegetarian choices ... and if you like french fries - theirs are the best! For dessert try the crostata and budini baked by wife Francesca. All throughout your meal, the owner's children ... Giulia and Davide ... will pamper you and guide you through your culinary delight!
