Duanima

"This is one of Cagliari’s most interesting restaurants – a real must if you find yourself visiting Sardinia’s capital city. In its long, narrow dining room with modern furnishings, enjoy simple, unfussy cuisine that is full of intense flavours. Most of the dishes are influenced by the chef’s experience working abroad, while also demonstrating his re-connection with his native island, with a focus on Sardinia’s top-quality ingredients." - Michelin Inspector

Blown away by the food here. Truly impeccable, taste and presentation. Tried the barracuda with feta, mushroom ravioli, sting ray with spicy rice, and pear with malaga icecream for dessert. Service was highly attentive. Concept is inspired by the local market. Cannot recommend enough!

What an absolutely gem in Cagliari ! Waiters were attentive, polite and were very open. Food tasted great, my orders included: tuna tartar was great, Squid with seasonal veggies (my fav), Prawn ravioli and a divine dessert. Also received a few more tasters curtesy of waiter / chef. Keep it up, and no doubt why they are on the Michelin guide.

One of the best meals we had in Sardinia! I can still dream of the tempura and the sashimi dish!! The homemade breadsticks were also so good. The service was excellent! The waiter was very friendly and helpful and it was nice to speak with the chef. We've ate a lot more, but did not take a picture of every dish. I think that we got a lot more quality than the price that we've paid that night. The chef really likes to explore and we really appreciated the diversity in every dish. Highly recommended restaurant and i would consider flying to Cagliari sometime to enjoy their food again! Will be back in June :D Edit: unfortunately the location in the city is temporarily closed. I will visit the Poetto location and leave a review there.

Beautiful experience and food, one of my now favorite restaurants in Cagliari. Each dish was a delight to see and taste, with interesting fusions of flavors and seasonal ingredients. I loved the sunchoke purée and sardines! Divine. The risotto with porcini mushrooms was also a favorite. Can’t wait to come back with family and friends. Thank you to the friendly chef and waiter who took great care of us! See you soon.

Exquisite Flavors and Warm Hospitality Duanima is a must visit when in Cagliari. The food is out of this world - local and seasonal delicacies presented with great imagination. Fantastic service with very attentive staff. The restaurant itself gives you the feeling of your private dining room. We have come back at least ten times and never encountered the same dish twice. We usually eat a 4-course tasting menu and Luca always creates new dishes depending on individual food restrictions or preferences. Highly recommend! Pros: Fine Dining and yet down-to-earth, Fresh and healthy ingredients, Unique

Unfortunately it was a disappointing dinner experience in total. The food is good, 4 out of our 5 courses were nice. 2 good, 2 really excellent. The 5th unfortunately for us really not good (pork belly - it was 100% fat, literally not a single millimeter of meat). But the issue was more the room and the service. The room because it was so hot. It got quite uncomfortable. And the service was not paying much attention. When drinks were empty, nobody ever asked if we want anything else. Generally nobody checked for any wishes. And when I did need to leave my pork belly more or less untouched on the plate, they couldn’t care less. From a restaurant of this level I would expect different standards. I ordered an alternative dish then and in the end we paid full price for it as an on top main course (more expensive even vs just going for 6 instead of 5 course tasting menu from the start). Sure, they do not need to give it out for free, but for the prices you pay here, I would expect a little bit more generosity.

Let me start by saying the food was amazing. We opted for a tasting menu with matching wines. We were part of the first sitting when the restaurant was quiet and service was initially brilliant. Unfortunately as it got busier the service declined and the wait between courses got longer, it meant the on a couple of occasions we were left for long periods of time without a drink and we were not offered one (or given the opportunity to purchase more - it felt like we were being avoided!) It was a shame as it was a sour end to what could have been a lovely meal.

A very happy evening in this gem of a restaurant. Slightly off the beaten track but worth the extra few minutes out of the tourist centre. Really good food that is full of heart and flavour. Lovely, friendly staff and a smiling, enthusiastic chef, Luca Floris at the helm. Highly recommended.
