Il Cipresso in Loro Ciuffenna is a real gem. We had a very good lunch here and were impressed by the freshness and flavor of every dish, from start to finish. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care in preparation, which makes the food both authentic and memorable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it’s clear why the restaurant is always busy and popular with locals. A place well worth visiting if you’re in the area.

A Must-Visit for True Lovers of Tuscan Meat and Cuisine If you’re passionate about high-quality meat and traditional Tuscan flavors, this restaurant is an absolute must. We’ve made it a tradition to visit every year, and each time it delivers an outstanding experience—both in food and hospitality. The staff are not only incredibly friendly but also genuinely honest in their recommendations, which makes the experience feel personal and trustworthy. Our all-time favorite? The steak tartare with stracciatella and truffle. It’s simply unforgettable. The beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender, delicately seasoned, and paired with rich, creamy cheese and aromatic truffle. We gladly drive over an hour just for this dish—it’s that good. Truly a highlight of our trips to Loro Ciuffenna. The pasta is another triumph. Always fresh, always perfectly al dente. The pici is a comforting classic, perfect as a palate cleanser between the meat courses. We also had the fresh porcini pasta, which was beautifully balanced, flavorful, and a textbook example of how Italian cuisine shines in its simplicity. The real stars, though, are the meat dishes. The selection is impressive—Wagyu, Black Angus ribeye, and many more. Each cut we’ve tried over the years has been expertly prepared, bursting with flavor, and cooked to perfection. We do our best to try as many as our stomachs allow, and we’ve never been let down. Even the dessert experience was thoughtful. When we wanted to order three, the staff kindly suggested two due to their size—and they were absolutely right. Sharing was perfect, and it’s that kind of honest, attentive service that sets this place apart. If you value quality, freshness, and the magic of classic Italian dishes, this is a true gem. As a foodie, I highly recommend making the trip and judging for yourself—you won’t regret it.

‘Il Cipresso’ it’s the perfect family run restaurant, no pretence and wonderful food. Wherever you come from the world to eat here, you have never eaten chips so delicious. Great white truffle tagliolini, amazing meats and impeccable gelato. If you ever around the Valdarno area it’s a must visit! Ps. Let the staff recommend local wines!

What an absolute gem. This place was open on a Monday lunchtime so we drove here just after any kind of food. When we walked in we were struck by the decor but it was still quiet with only a few customers. The waiting staff took over and with tips and some translation helped us pick a pescatarian meal to delight. I tried a great local beer and we finished up with geleto. The restaurant filled as we are with locals and other day trippers so had a good vibe. We are so happy we found it. The torrential downpour as we left not dampening our spirits.
