Absolutely fantastic, worth every penny. The place is the quintessential whole in the wall gem that ticks all boxes. We had the gnocchi with truffle, the boar stew, roast potatoes and onions, and finally the beef tartar. The last of which was impeccable, especially with the mustard ice cream (new concept for me).
The Umbrian wine was fully bodied, rich and fruity. The gnocchi was light in texture and paired beautifully with the generous amount of fresh truffle. The boar stew was bold and hearty and paired very well with the surprisingly best dish, the roast potatoes! These were, slightly unexpectedly, sliced and roasted with onions in a clay pot.
The waiters were great, all knew English but would entertain my rudimentary Italian. My favourite chap even knew Mandarin.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this place, on par with Michelin star restaurants.
