Ristorante di Pesce Il Pavone

We were lucky to reserve a table the same day and it was absolutely pleasure to have dinner at Il Pavone! The restaurant offers unique atmosphere, signatory delicious cuisine and exceptional service! We were delighted by the fact that the owner came in person to take our order and give some recommendations. Some of the specialities have been served since the opening in 1979 and anything we tried was fresh, tasty and prepared with love! Very good selection of wines! A place where we would like to return!

If you visit Alghero, make sure to visit this restaurant. The whole experience was outstanding. The food was very delicious. For me, the highlight of the dinner was the homemade gelato. The owner was very friendly and made sure we are having a good time throughout the whole evening.

Simply outstanding. On different occasions the restaurant in a tourist-filled old city area with too many restaurants was full, and my guess was that a good part were locals - that tells you something.

With pleasure I say that this is Michelin star for a reason. It's more than a restaurant with fresh and local food, it takes you back in time with the style 💯

The best pasta I had in Alghero!! And the service was amazing. The homemade cheese from the start, the seafood pasta and the fish was amazing!! It deserves the Michelin!!

Not worth your money…extremely disappointing… a total let down.., the worse fish dishes we ever had in a restaurant. And, unfortunately, the atmosphere was not any better. Save your money and instead go to McDonalds for a fish fillet with french fries, you will not regret skipping Il Pavone. Supposedly Il Pavone is a seafood restaurant, but how, if for their main course they only serve ONE type of fish prepared four ways?? Our group tried 3 of the 4 Segundi and all dishes were uniformly unimpressive or truly awful. How can this restaurant serve small, thin, dried (thawed?) chewy fillets covered by a mediocre sauce or old botarga, and call it a good dish worth 26 euro? What a joke! To make matters worse, the rooms are very loud and the waiters a bit snobbish. Il Pavone will remain the only bad experience we had from an otherwise spectacular week in Sardinia.

Almost Michelin level restaurant! Once in Alghero one must and cannot miss the dining experience in Il Pavone restaurant. The first night we went there it was fully booked, we went there the next night and got a seat. Very limited menu but whatever they serve is top notch. One can choose from the 3 options they have in their menu. 1 starter, 1 main course and 1 dessert, 1 starter, 2 main courses and 1 dessert and 1 main course and 1 starter. We chose the most diversified option. Now for each starter main course and dessert one can choose from 6-7 different dishes. The taste still lingers in my mouth and I cannot wait to fly to Alghero and eat here again! The owner is a very friendly and funny guy, but one should never miss the cheese spread that he claims is his own creation. Loved the flavour of the spread. Dining here in Il Pavone is an experience one should not miss while in Alghero!

Amazing food and Atmosphere. The founder/ head chief came round to and told us what the names of the dishes ment to him very interesting story. What a fabulous place.
