"For almost 40 years, the Angolo d’Abruzzo restaurant has been home to the Centofanti family, who act as excellent ambassadors for the region by offering the best local, seasonal ingredients (for this reason, there’s no fish on the menu) in a host of traditional, regional recipes. Specialities such as cured meats, local ham, bruschetta and fresh home-made pasta (including “chitarra” spaghetti) take centre stage, while main courses include grilled dishes (porcini mushrooms in season, cuts of beef and veal at any time of year) and stews (mutton etc). When it comes to dessert, make sure you try the crème caramel with Navelli saffron. A misleading sign saying “sagrestia” (sacristy) actually indicates the well-stocked wine cellar." - Michelin Inspector
Old fashion restaurant in the most positive meaning: slow food, intimate location, friendly and prepared staff and most importantly the food: just incredible! I ordered porcini mushroom pasta and lamb and it was incredible!

So glad we found this gem on our way through the region. Excellent menu. One of the best meals we had in Italy. It was truffle season and a few of our selections came from the specialty menu. Do not expect English menu or English speaking staff. So impressed, we even returned on our way back.

Our daughter recommended this restaurant on the way from Rome to Pescara. It was excellent, food, service, friendliness. We were lucky to be in season for mushrooms. They were delicious. The olive oil out of this world. We bought a bottle to take along. Highly recommend this place.

Famous place on the road that brings you from Rome to L'Aquila and Abruzzo beauty. In the right season a must to eat black truffles. All the food is of high quality. A bit too much expansive.
