L'Acchiatura

"Delicious cuisine from Puglia, including excellent orecchiette pasta with clams and chickpeas, served in a delightful ambience with a number of different rooms and internal patios. The same traditional atmosphere is evident in the attractive, well - equipped guestrooms, as well as in the picturesque swimming pool housed in a grotto." - Michelin Inspector

Hands down, this is the best restaurant in Puglia! Such an amazing place to dine, and Mr Joseph made our experience even more special as our waiter!

Went to this restaurant with family on the 10th of July 2025. We arrived early before they were open and were invited onto the terrace to wait by an kind elderly gentleman who then served us throughout dinner in the closed garden. It was an excellent experience in an excellent location with fabulous service. The food was great and it is definitely a place I would go to again. Thank you to the welcoming staff and help during booking and to the service staff who helped created this memorable experience.

Subpar. Unfortunately, they did not have several items on the menu when we went. We found the food to be reasonably bland, small portioned and overpriced. We would not return and we surprisingly shocked of the high reviews. The atmosphere and decor were beautiful so perhaps, for a drink!

An honest, unpretentious restaurant, offering authentic top quality dishes and exquisite service. Additionally a very pleasant environment with a lovely small inside yard, an interesting wine list and a hospitable owner. Special mention to the mature gentleman that was serving our table. You have to visit Racale, only for the shake of this restaurant.

A hidden gem in Racale. Beautiful place, outdoor seating and nice and cosy dinner rooms. Service friendly and efficient (in French and German). A wide choice of local dishes and wines. A must if you are in Gallipoli area.

The most unremarkable restaurant in Italy. Beware this eatery is nothing more than a basic trattoria, they do not deserve Michelin Guide status. We quickly realized the "hype" was on when we visited the restaurant's Instagram and found more photos of the owner "posing" with unknown celebrities than the actual food. The food is very simple, yes good ingredients from the local farmers, but nothing innovative or special here, incredibly disappointing. Beef meatballs OK. Fried rice balls and potato croquettes. OK. Cabbage marinated in red wine vinegar. OK. Egg zucchini omelette. OK. Fresh mozzarella, that's original. So boring and basic food, and at expensive price point.

We dined with no reservation and were fitted in, we both had a pasta dish from the first dish menu, with the baked potato side. Food was very good - followed by an excellent tiramisu. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and the waiter servicing us was very helpful and spoke English which was appreciated with our minimal Italian. Unfortunately we do not eat fish and this was a large part of the menu.
