What an amazing experience! Everything we tried was absolutely delicious, and you can tell the chef puts his heart into every dish. The staff were so friendly and professional, making us feel special from start to finish. The aquarium view is just breathtaking — it made the whole evening feel magical. Honestly, this was the best meal I’ve ever had in a restaurant.

Overall, it was a really great experience. The food was top-notch, each dish was beautifully plated, and you could tell the chef really cares about the ingredients and flavors. The service was excellent in terms of efficiency. The staff was very knowledgeable, and made sure we had what we neded. That said, the vibe felt a bit mechanical. Everyone was polite and professional, but it didn’t have the warm, personal touch we expected. It felt a little more “service by the book” rather than genuine. Now, here's where things got a little awkward: one of the dishes my wife had just didn’t land for her. She didn’t finish it, but no one ever asked why or if everything was okay with it. It was a bit surprising especially in a place that prides itself on high-end dining. A simple “How’s everything going?” or asking if there was anything wrong with the dish would have gone a long way.

After visiting the restaurant we suffered severe, life-threatening food poisoning: repeated vomiting, diarrhea, a 38.8 °C fever, and confusion. We called an ambulance during the night and were hospitalized. The restaurant at the Burj Al Arab caused serious harm to our health and posed a danger to life; we didn’t sleep all night. My husband still hasn’t recovered—he’s on two antibiotics and a bunch of other medications. Meanwhile, it’s impossible to reach Al Mahara: they promised the manager would call back, but no one has, and they couldn’t connect us to the restaurant directly either. Sanitary standards in such an expensive restaurant are absolutely not observed—be prepared to end up bedridden and in the hospital! And they refuse to take responsibility for the harm to our health and the threat to our lives. If I could, I’d give them minus a billion stars! Avoid this place if you don’t want a severe poisoning.

It’s an amazing place! The food it’s really delicious!! All the staff it’s very friendly, Kind and explain very well each dish… place it’s more than amazing every single detail, a lot of luxury, and sophisticated ingredients in each dish; I definitely enjoy this experience!!

The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed the 7-course private dining experience. However, some parts of the evening did not meet our expectations. The service was just okay. The waiter kept coming too close to me when serving or clearing plates, and he touched me each time, which made me feel uncomfortable. It didn’t feel professional. Also, plates were taken away from my colleagues even though they were still eating, which was disruptive. Another issue was the toilets they were very dirty. This was surprising and disappointing, especially in such an expensive hotel.
