We had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful one-star Michelin restaurant, and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food is not only exquisite in flavor and technique, but you can genuinely feel the passion and love behind every dish. One highlight was the special traditional risotto platter, beautifully described by Patrizia with such warmth and detail, featuring Friulano and a delicate touch of liquorice — an unforgettable combination that perfectly captured their spirit. What makes this place stand out is not only the remarkable cuisine but also the people behind it. The chef and his wife Patrizia are the heart of the restaurant: kind, humble, and professional, yet so approachable and heartfelt. Their presence made the experience feel personal and authentic. After a perfect dinner in a refined yet cozy ambience, we had the joy of chatting with them, which made us feel not just like guests, but like part of their home. Thank you for this extraordinary evening, for the flavors, the warmth, and the memories. A place we will truly cherish and look forward to returning to.

From the outside, there's nothing, but the Michelin plate, to tell you that there's a restaurant hidden behind large double doors. The main room of the restaurant is a cavernous square room, only holding a few tables spaced well apart—while elegant, the space is cold in every sense of the term. The temperature of the space negatively affected our experience there, especially when sat for four hours. The waitstaff were very knowledgable of their jobs, the detail of the dishes and the wine, but failed to notice the how cold everyone in the room was. If we go back we are wearing large wool sweaters. The food, however, was great. It was tasty, colorful and playful. And the wine paired beautifully. We felt like we got to try local cuisine, but at a higher level.

We came on a Friday night and the restaurant wasn't that busy. We had the "espressioni" tasting menu which was 6 courses for €125. I understand the expression menu is a more creative take on dishes but unfortunately some of the flavours and combinations just did not work. As an example, the green curry risotto was too overpowering and the spaghetti with tuna and onion was too salty and the amount of bonito flakes was unnecessary. The anchovy with celery was probably the best course for me. The menu also had some Roman influence but it's a shame the menu didn't focus more on the Piedmont region. The service was lacklustre at times - the waiter forgot to pour one of the guests drinks and they didn't ask for more drinks after we finished our bottle of wine. Two of the guests had been to the previous Alba location and raved on about it, so they were also disappointed with the experience.

At the very start, they had to change my water glass because it was dirty. There was no welcome drink and we waited for the wine 20 minutes. They replaced the main meat dish for me with a soft-boiled egg (not even a farm one), as if I paid 150 euro to enjoy an egg for the main course. The original dessert from the menu was not available, nor they had any dark chocolate at all (in Torino, the famous chocolate capital of Italy) and they replaced it with a sour version of lemon merengue which I had to finish only because I was still hungry by the end of the dinner. We were the only guests except for a couple of non-dressed tourists who didn’t contribute to the lonely interior, and it felt like fish out of the water. The ambience was rigid, cold and strongly uncomfortable with an inadequate music playlist. The chef was staring at us from the kitchen all 3 hours but never came to greet us personally. The finishing “touch” was a licorice marshmallow so unbalanced in taste that I had to wash it away with water, which I never do in a stellar restaurant as we’re supposed to leave with a pleasant palate. These are just plain objective facts, to say nothing of my opinion on the food.

Wonderful experience and a great chef! We had the truffle menu during truffle season. Everything was perfect, dishes taste delicious, even the dessert, panna cotta, was with truffle and it was amazing! Tajarin with 50 yolks simply wonderful! Strongly suggested!

Exceptional food, exceptional service, fantastic interior. Be aware that the price is corresponding. But if you can afford to spend 200-300 eur for a dinner for two, you will not regret that you chose Larossa.

Innovative version of traditional dishes, usually very well done, good cuisson and great use of local ingredients. Some combinations didn't work out for me, like Monk fish with liquorice, although the accompanying artichoke was brilliant, and white truffle on the - great - veal cheek got a bit lost in the - otherwise excellent - sauce. The bill was on the high end of the spectrum.

Relocated from Alba to Torino with a much larger space . Do park your car behind the restaurant as they do have a dedicated Carpark . The cuisines have changed a lot as the chef is embarking on a new style of cooking with many cooking technique involved . The pasta is to die for , a first for me with the sauce made from dehydrated tuna . The main course for me is beef and is well executed as well .
