We just enjoyed an amazing (Thanksgiving night) meal in the lovely city of Stresa, Italy. Just a few minutes walk from our room, we found
Ristorante Lo Stornello, the perfect choice. We started with
1. Piedmontese beef tartare with hazelnut cream and local cheese fondue
2. Potato gnocchi scented with porcini mushrooms, veal reduction, pumpkin, mountain pine powder and Vigezzo Valley pancetta
3. Veal loin cooked at low temperature and sautéed in aromatic butter, lard-based condiment with parsley, smoked potatoes gratinated with Bettelmatt cheese
4. Semifreddo forest bianca with white chocolate, fresh currants, raspberries, blackberries and gooseberries
5. A beautiful bottle of Barbera d'Asti
