Had a fantastic experience at dinner here. The area has quite a high concentration of restaurants, so you might miss this one. The inside is elegant and full of atmosphere. While there's a diverse offering in the menu, they're best known for marine food. The appetizers with a type of shark was very particular, something I never tasted before. Then I also tried the conchiglie del giorno gratinate, which were excellent. Pasta all'uovo fresca con gamberi was top notch, but cannot go wrong with the spaghetti alle vongole. To finish It all, a classic fritto misto to enjoy whatever marine food Trieste has to offer. Extremely appreciated was a glass of Prosecco, offered by the restaurant. Aside of the excellent culinary experience, I want to commend Nicolò for the SUPERB service he did. Not only his suggestions were perfect, but he helped immensely some japanese guests with his impressive japanese speaking skills (not surprising since he's a wine export manager to Japan and also a sommelier). I recommend this restaurant for sure, it's been added in my favorites already.

I arrived around 7:40 pm to avoid the local crowd, and the service was spot-on and impressively fast. I ordered two appetizers and a main. I began with steamed mantis prawn, which was wonderfully succulent, followed by a vongole pasta made with smaller lupin clams. The portion was just right, so I decided to finish with a spider crab. Prices were reasonable and not over the top. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Trieste.

We went for lunch and then decided to reserve a table for dinner. No fancy presentations and gimicks… just simple, delicious food. We tried the spider crab, mantis shrimp, vongole, fresh egg pasta, seabass, and turbot.

Fish and seafood restaurant. Great options, high quality, fair price. Giving 4 for the service and location because the first was slow, and se were sitting outside on the street (very close to traffic!).

Excellent EXPERIENCE! If you're looking for a place where you feel like home, this is your destination. Pleasant and friendly staff which is more than happy to cater to your wishes and help you choose the right dish and accomodating drink for your palate. Excellent seafood with daily fresh ingredients and locally caught fish. We'll definifely be returning.

I really want to like that place And it has all of the potencial to be the best BUT 1) a bit understaffed - 3 waiters for the packed restaurant with such price level and service expectation is strange 2) slow turnover of drinks - waited with empty glass for 10 minutes… 3) fish of the day… need to gain some weight as it is a MAIN DISH… I was even asked if it is for 1 or for 2 🤣 I barely managed to satisfy oneself with that… also bone picking is the new sport here 4) on my slight complaint about shells in crab (which can cause serious injuries btw) waiter just said - well, this happens… Well… Yeah… it does…

Extraordinary fish restaurant in center of Trieste, ask staff for recommendations and make sure to take spaghetti vongole and crab salad. Highly recommended!

Must visit! Automatic, local seafood. Great service and atmosphere. We had such a great time!

This restaurant has a very friendly and attentive staff with excellent service. The octopus appetizer was good. The Zuppa di Pesce was not what I expected - more of a cream base than a red sauce. The grilled sea bream was cooked perfectly - it would have benefited with a little more flavoring. Overall this is a good choice in Trieste.
