We came across this restaurant, and were seated when it was relatively early and quiet, but it took a very long time for anyone to return and ask us for our drink order. When someone did come she abruptly came up with pen to paper, like a diner waitress. No greetings or suggestions. I had to ask ‘are you here to take our drink orders’? When I said I was wanting to order a glass of wine, which I was then just going to order from the menu, before I could finish my sentence she said ‘I don’t know wine’ and stormed off to get the sommelier. So we waited for him for a while. He was quite gracious and pleasant fortunately. But it just set the tone and the service from everyone besides the sommelier/waiter was so awkward. We did have a great first round of drinks, the food was ok but took forever, and no one asked if we wanted any more drinks. There was a lot of sitting and waiting. At first we thought maybe we did something to offend the waitstaff, but I noticed it was hit or miss with the other tables too, but at least they had wine to drink while they waited!
I was later very surprised to see that they were Michelin rated, I would have expected a much better experience and food. The prices definitely reflected the rating though.
