"Ristorante Murali, the old school restaurant on Pentagon Row with glowing chandeliers, wall-sized art, and a regular rotation of iconic Italian dishes, has closed after 13 years. The neighborhood eatery remained loyal to its roots till the end, serving customers a steady diet of chicken Parmesan, seafood risotto, lamb osso bucco, linguine with clams, cannoli, and tiramisu." - Warren Rojas

Bland Italian restuarant. Service was awful even though there was only 6-10 other people there. The server put in the wrong order than charged us for it cause that makes sense🤷🏽‍♂️. Had to ask for bread because he was taking so long. Server messed up the drink order aswell. Once food arrived to the table the server messed up the order and it wasn't what we had ordered. (which we still had to pay for) then when they remade what we ordered they rushed it and wasn't good. Besides that all the other food was great. Even had dessert which was good too. Not coming back🙅🏽‍♂️

Just OK. Overpriced by far. Mediocre spaghetti and meatballs for $22. Cozy place, outdoor seating is also nice.

Italian by way of Ethiopia, IMO. Don't know about the reviews citing Venice. I have eaten there 40+ times; lunch, drinks and suppers. Having gotten to know the staff professionally, my service experience may not be typical but service is always outstanding. Also, food always between good and excellent, and reasonably priced considering table-cloth service and so on. Never had carry-out. You can certainly spend serious money there (particularly if imbibing several wines-by-the-glass) but not required. Reviews citing poor flavors or service may be credible but not my experience. I have taken groups there and never had a table-mate complain. The owners have several other places in Pentagon Row (Asian fusion, crepes, etc) and must be one of the larger tenants. Murali has been there for at least the five years I've been in the 'hood and must be doing most things right.

Fantastic service and the chef is phenomenal. Italian cuisine with an Eastern European fusion. Good assortment of wines, full bar. Room for a group event yet quiet, relaxing with outdoor seating as well. You will not be disappointed, we never have been. One of our favorite places when we are in the area.

This restaurant was very nice. The waiter was polite and professional. We ordered the burchetta which was really good. However, the meal is a different story. I had the Alfredo with chicken. The chicken had no flavor and the pasta was very bland. My wife had a chicken picatta and mentioned the pasta tasted like store bought. Her chicken did have flavor. The bread served with dinner was excellent. The price for wine is over priced. In fact, the whole meal was overpriced and we could had better meal at Olive Garden. While the ratings are higher on Google they are very low on Yelp with 93 reviews at the time of this posting.

I had the penne with smoked salmon and my wife had the penne with lamb sausage plus appetizer and drinks. The food was good, the drinks were not. We went in May, it was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant. It was so warm, we couldn't enjoy our food. We mentioned it to the waiter, but they didn't do anything. One problem is the afternoon sun comes right through the front Windows and the blinds do little to block it. Another problem is the restaurant leaving the front doors propped open so the A/C never had a chance to cool the place down. We'll never go back.

We had such a good meal here today. I had the veal picatta--really tender veal, good sear on the top of the medallions, and the sauce was perfect, both savory and a crisp lemon taste. My gf had crab ravioli--the sauce and filling were amazing, although we both thought the pasta was too al dente. My daughter had a lmab sausage and penne dish that she liked, but didn't rave over. We had a wonderful wine as well that I hope we can buy: a La Cappuccina Sauvignon Veneto that had a wonderful stone fruit nose but also some strong tropical fruit in the finish. Service was excellent as well, but then again when we came in we were literally the only people in the place.

Excellent Penne Pasta with Bolensese sauce. Tilapia was fresh and prepared very nicely in a white white sauce with capers and kalamata olives. Maher was our waiter. He was awesome, very friendly and personable. Found this place while visiting from out of town. Glad we had such a great experience.
