"A friendly and long-established family-run restaurant on the road between Calderino and Sasso Marconi, which serves generous portions of traditional, regional cuisine with a contemporary flavour. House specialities include fresh pasta, dishes cooked on the authentic wood-fired grill, as well as classic recipes such as Bolognese cutlet. There’s also a comprehensive wine list, with a natural focus on labels from Emilia Romagna. A spacious car park and attractive terrace for summer dining complete the picture." - Michelin Inspector

The traditional Bolognese food here was SUBLIME and the best food we had in the region! The Tortellini a Brodo will be a craving I will have in the future and I’m sure I will have to come back one day to have it again. Perfettissimo 👌🏼

Truly one of the most delicious and traditional restaurants I ate in Italy, thank you very much. We enjoyed the amazing food and the good service, real Italian.

Excellent restaurant with traditional and local dishes of the Emilia Romagna region and a superb wine list. Their homemade pasta with ragù di prosciutto was absolutely delicious, beef (tagliata) tender and cooked to perfection with just the right amount of coarse salt and rosemary and the almond semifreddo heavenly. Certainly recommended!

Buzzy. Nice environment amidst greenery. Traditional food, well prepared, a bit home style and delicious, especially the tortelloni with a generous amount of white truffles. Fab torta di riso to which, uniquely a light caramel sauce is added. Incredible, wonderful wine list.

One of the best in Sasso Marconi. Great food, great people. Risotto cooked at perfection, filet di mango al pepper … one of the best. A nice jong lady speaks English for those who need help in Italian and recommend great wines.

It wasn't easy to find a nice restaurant available in Bologna on a Monday... but Nuova Roma was. I would definitely go back. We had the crescentine plate with so much variety to eat. The crescentine is a very special type of bread made in bologna, is a must try. I also had cotoletta sbagliata and was very tasty.

Yelp
A comfy outdoor setting, tasty food, and charming hospitality! What more could you ask for. We started with an amuse bouche of zucchini omelette. It had a deep umami flavor. The appetizer was a polenta Crostini that was the bomb, offered in three styles: with burrata, with porcini, and with pancetta. What is not to like? And my husband, who does not like polenta, loved this! We followed this with tagliatelle al ragù alla bolognese. The topping had hand grated parmigiano reggiano. And the pairing that the hostess suggested with Sangiovese was spot on.
