If you are visiting Castel Gandolfo, Pagnanelli is a must! Knowledgeable, welcoming staff, gorgeous view, and the perfect meal. Sommelier recommended the perfect regional pairings. The Prosciutto with melon, and burrata was delightful- add family goat cheese, trust me. Gnocchi with clams, calamari, and black truffle is a must and best meal in Rome. Rabbit was perfectly prepared, zucchini with pesto was delicious. The only reason this was not 5 was due to lamb with a bit more gristle and small bones in two pieces and chocolate coconut cake was dry. The wine cellar is breathtaking and was an unexpected escape.
