Fantastic staff, food, atmosphere, wine recommendations. We stayed at the place as well, and couldnt believe ourselves we had three put of four dinners here! Thanks for being so good! Also, have a platter of chesses and olive oil to taste! So good!

We arrived at Relais la Leopoldina as guests and depart as family !! We had the pleasure of staying at the relais for 13 nights and it wasn’t enough. Our room had an amazing view ! It had all the amenities required to keep my wife happy for the entire stay. Angela the Chef’s wife was a gracious and welcoming host. The morning breakfasts were a very pleasant surpise but then again Walter wouldn’t let anything pass out the kitchen door that wasn’t great. I love a good omelette and unfortunately very few places do it correctly, when I was served my first Omelette at breakfast I was in heaven !! The entire staff were very helpful and friendly especially Carmen. During our stay we had several romantic dinners by ourselves and hosted two small parties for our local friends. We preferred to dine outdoors and the weather did cooperate. Our guest were extremely happy on the patio with the great food and friendly service. rather than review every dish individually with you , I’ll give you a brief description of the cuisine. Walter uses seasonal product sourced in the local area many producers within a 10 minute radius. The menu is constantly changing according to product availability. He then prepares them perfectly being a master chef in the area for decades !! Most of the restaurant customers are locals and therefore it doesn’t close for the season like many in the area. Dress is smart casual. My only recommendation is don’t pass on the Steak it’s a life changing experience !!

A gem of a Michelin rated restaurant with nice food, amazing service, and a great selection of wines. We enjoyed lunch and dinner while staying in their lovely boutique Airbnb. Angela and Walter owners and Carmen our breakfast server, are amazing and so hospitable!

Service was very friendly. The food was nicely cooked but all dishes missed something. It was not amazing and what you would expect in a restaurant like that. It was nicely cooked but it missed the certain extra. The pasta was too thick. The decor is very old fashioned and could do with a little ‚update‘.

Even though we arrived late on the lunch service, we were welcomed and enjoyed a magnificent lunch. Beautiful setting, great food and wine and will definitely return just to hit the cheese board!!

Restaurant had a great atmosphere, everyone who worked there was very nice and helpful. Great menu and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant! They also had parking which was very convenient!

We have enjoyed excellent food during our month holiday in Italy, but nothing compared with our two lunches at Walter Redaelli. We sampled appetizers, pasta, main courses, amazing cheese and dessert. The food was consistently exceptional, as was the service. We sometimes chose to share courses (such as an appetizer) and it is was beautifully divided for two before being presented. Our server was attentive, genuinely helpful, very kind and made perfect suggestions. One day, we had lunch on the patio, which was perfect. This was not the only Michelin starred restaurant we ate at in Italy,but it was the best!

This place right here!? Amazing. They don't speak the best english but you will be just fine. If anything, learn some italian words or use google translate. We came with friends and we were a group of 8. The food was EVERYTHING. Italians take their means serious and boy did we have lots of food. We ordered several first and second courses and not exaggerating EVERY dessert offered and the bill was so cheap! For super high quality. They were super nice and did not rush us out even though we ended up being there past closing time. The grounds are beautiful, it is truly a sight to see.

The food was served after more than a hour and they forgot about two dishes so we had to wait even more. The food itself was not worth the wait

Expectations were low as our Airbnb produced a laminated map and pushed to make reservations on our behalf but wow this dinner was memorable. The walk from the parking lot past carefully manicured grape vines set a Tuscan ambience for our group of four. Really wish I could remember our waitress's name as she was so sweet and was spot on with wine to pair with each course. So hard not to tip her really well as we do in the states as she deserved 25% easily. The wait staff worked well as a team and with no pressure we went a comfortable 2.5 hours before it was time to head home. Molte bene!

We had dinner here based on a recommendation from a local hotel. It is well worth a visit. The location is a bit hard to find, even with GPS, the address is approximate. You enter through a gate on a ground stone driveway with a small sign on a pillar. Parking is on the side of the driveway. Once that's done, you walk up brick steps, through a lovely herb garden, and into the restaurant. You can sit outside on the terrace (we did) or indoors. Either are lovely. The greeting and service were friendly, quick and accommodating. Our waiters spoke English quite well and were very helpful. We requested, and were recommended, an excellent mid-priced local wine. Most impressive is the care they took with the service and the food. My daughter, who has multiple food allergies, carries a card that lists those allergies in Italian. The waiter accepted it without reservation and, when he brought out the basket of bread, had separated the breadsticks which had sesame, to which she is allergic, from bread she could have. They were also very careful to check anything she requested directly with the kitchen. This shows great care for the customer. Now the food. It is worth the trip. Well prepared home made pastas for primi which were all wonderful. The mushroom and truffle pasta was earthy, while the risotto with burrata was rich with just enough bite. The meats were well prepared, as was the swordfish in a roll. Everything was clearly fresh and well prepared, as one might expect from this region. Deserts, of course, are a must have. The chocolate cake is simply a work of art. I don't usually give 5 stars but it this case, it was well earned. This is certainly a place to put on your list when visiting the region.

Wow....this is a feast for your eyes and taste buts. The best food we had in Tuscany on this trip.

Very good Toscan restaurant ! We stayed here at the hotel of the restaurant. But their main business is the restaurant. The hotel only has 6 rooms. The staff welcomes you very friendly, are not pushy and helps you with the menu. Everybody gets a basket with different kind of bread. It is just delicious. You have to try the one with chocolate. We went 2 times to the restaurant and always took the same: Sirloin steak. Just because it was so good. They have a large selection of wine and very good wine and for a good price even. The owner is really friendly, she comes and check out if everything is ok but more to be polite. If you are the region you have to go to this place for sure!!!

The stuffed calamari was nearly perfect, the cold chickpea sauce could have been a better choice, but I still loved the dish. The pumpkin risotto with truffles lost some of the truffle flavor in the other flavors. The pureed pumpkin that was added to the risotto as it was cooking made this the best pumpkin risotto I have ever had. I say eliminate the truffle in the name and expectation and it is a 5 star pumpkin risotto. Even though I was not able to taste a-lot of truffle, i would order the dish once a week for life.

Very sorry to say that on our visit we had a completely different experience. The food was very hit and miss. My husband and I enjoyed the appetizer but neither of us was happy with our first course. My pasta was, gasp, over cooked! In Italy?! In addition the sauce was grainy (raw flour?). My husband had risotto and the rice was slightly undercooked but it also had very little flavor. The steak we ordered was good but if you consider the price of meal, 250 euros, certainly we had better meals for much less. 2 stars because the service was exceptional.

Wow, you can't get food like this in the best U.S. Italian restaurants. The food is superb, pasta heavenly, and desserts exquisite. The variety of breads is astounding and delicious. Chef Walter is extremely talented. Maybe it's the local fresh ingredients. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

My two best meals in two weeks spent in Tuscany! Our group of 7 ate lunch at Walter's one day, then returned with a party of 9 for our last dinner in Tuscany. Both meals were fantastic! With that large of a group we tried at least 75% of the menu and enjoyed every dish. We were fortunate to actually meet Chef Walter after lunch the first visit. Not only is his food delicious, but his presentations are beautiful! In addition, the waiter, Massimo, who manages all the patrons on his own, is fantastic! He has a great personality and sense of humor! He had no trouble communicating with our group and made our meals even more delightful!

our dining experience at ristorante walter redaelli was memorable. his restaurant was a recommendation from our host luca who made the reservations for us. my husband and our two friends dined here last october and had a wonderful time. the food here is made fresh to order. the wine is remarkable in this region. and service was outstanding and handsome. come and enjoy the finer things in life and treat yourself to a wonderful meal in a cozy place at walter redaelli. bon appettito!
